@romyiooo
Please don't take this the wrong way but did you release the power button the moment vibration felt whilst keeping the remaining three keys depressed? It took me a couple of goes the first time that I carried out this procedure to get it right.

  • HELP-- N97 stuck at white screen with nokia logo

Kindly help anyone. I installed lifetime free ovi maps on to N97 via computer and it worked initially. Then all of a sudden everything went black and phone restarted itself and since then it is stuck on the white screen with nokia logo.I have taken out battery umpteen times and everytime it is stuck. Won't go beyond this point. kindly help

@tcwlam-if yougo to the website, you can download the app as a .sisx file, and you can just load the file onto your phone and install it there.
@silvervectra- I'm guessing you downloaded it and just installed despite the compatibility warning? The problem why this is still not available to the n97 is likely  due to software incompatibility, which is why it will be delayed to come with the new firmware. If so you just bricked your phone due to you not wanting to wait, congratulations (insert really sarcastic tone)! Anyway, just do the hard reset. Hopefully it would fix it and uninstall the ovi maps. Otherwise you would likely have to have the guys at the Nokia Care Center reflash your phone and roll back ovi maps.

  • My iMac does not move beyond the white screen with apple logo?

When the iMac turns on it does not advance it's start up beyond the 'White Screen' with the apple logo at the center.

the following article addresses the mac booting to gray screen issue you described:

you should get resolution from this, good luck!

  • White screen with Apple logo/ not booting

I recently tried to install the software for the "Flip" video camcorder and upon restarting my computer after installation, my computer is stuck on the white screen with Apple Logo, 'thinking" wheel spinning, and fans going full blast. I tried forcing a stop with turning computer off by holding power button in the back until system powered off. When I started the computer back up, it did the same thing.
What is the likely problem and how do I fix this. I bought the computer used and do not have the OS X software that comes with the computer originally.

You really need those discs. You can either buy a BLACK retail version of Leopard and use that or you can call Apple at 800-767-2775 and for a nominal fee they will send you the proper discs for your model. You will need the serial number, which you can find on the bottom of the foot of your computer. Do not buy any grey discs, they are machine specific and will not work on yours. In the meantime, try starting by resetting the PRAM and the SMU
    1. Shut down the computer.
    2. Unplug the computer's power cord.
    3. Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
    4. Release the power button.
    5. Attach the computers power cable.
    6. Press the power button to turn on the computer.
You need to make sure also, that the software that comes with your Flip is compatible with the OS version you are running.
Let us know how you make out,

  • Mac stuck on white screen with apple logo at startup

It's a few days i have this issue.
When i turn on my macmini (late 2009) it does the startup sound, but when the white screen with apple logo appears it stucks on that screen.
To solve this problem i have to unplug the power connector, when i restart it works normally.
This happens randomly, not at every startup.
I switched from normal HD to ssd HD (brand new one), i have the same problem with both HDs.
Since black outs are not good for computers i woult solve this problem.
Does anybody have my same issue or know what's wrong?
    Thanks!!!

  • My Macbook starts up, goes to the white screen with the gray apple, the little loading sign loads, and color wheel appears, and DOES NOT STOP PEIROD!

My Macbook starts up, goes to the white screen with the gray apple, the little loading sign loads, and color wheel appears, and DOES NOT STOP PEIROD!
Even when I restart, shut it down; or when it runs down to no battery, when I plug in the power cord for a while, it loads up to the same stinking screen!
                                                      PLEASE HELP ME!

Restart the computer and immediately hold the option key down.
If the computer boots and you see two hard drive icons, use the arrow key to select the Recovery drive, and press Return.
You will get to a screen that looks like the image here:
    http://www.apple.com/osx/recovery/
Select the fourth item and press Return.
In Disk Utility, select the hard drive in the left column, then First Aid, then click on Repair Disk.
When that is done, quit DU and restart the computer.

  • HT4623 I downloaded ios7 and initially it was working fine. Now it is flashing from my home screen to the white screen with the black apple every 3-5 seconds. It's so annoying and I can't make it stop! I tried shutting down all the way - nope! HELP!

I downloaded ios7 on my iphone 5 yesterday. All day it worked fine, then last evening it started blinking from the white screen with the black apple to my home screen. Each screen only stays up for 3-5 seconds then switches back. I have tried shutting down and it is still happening! Does anyone know how to fix this issue without having to go into the store?

Your power adapter is OK. If the only place it will not work is in your home, your house wiring and / or the appliances connected to it are likely to be the reason your Mac will not charge.
    From Troubleshooting MagSafe adapters:
    Identify line noise issues.
Unplug the power adapter from the wall, let it sit for 60 seconds, then plug the adapter back in.
If the adapter works after this 60-second "rest", you most likely have a line noise issue with your power source. You should reset the adapter periodically by repeating this moment of rest. This issue occurs when the AC adapter's "over voltage protection" feature senses ground noise and then turns off the adapter.
Some possible sources of line noise include lights with ballasts, refrigerators, or mini-refrigerators that are on the same electrical circuit as your computer. This behavior may not occur if you plug the power adapter into an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) or plug it into a different circuit.
Unless the adapter continues to exhibit this behavior on a known good outlet, it does not need to be replaced.
Household wiring problems are very common. They can also be very dangerous. Fortunately most problems can be easily fixed by a qualified electrician.

  • My macbook 13' (older version) starts only to white screen with apple logo tried to rebooot by pressing shift at the opening but it didn't finish starting before stopping please help anybody please

is anbody there how does this work never done it before my macbook won't start past white screen with apple logo any ideas ?

Are you using a 10.6 Snow Leopard Install DVD? If yes, you can erase and install following these directions: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3910
You'll know whether or not it is a hard drive issue when you get to step 8 under "Part One: Erasing the hard drive". If you do not see your hard drive in the list on the left side of the Disk Utility window then you know the Mac isn't seeing it—could be a loose cable, but more likely hard drive failure.
If you can see it on the left, click on it and look at the bottom of the Disk Utility window. If you see something like "S.M.A.R.T status: failing" that is definitely a hard drive issue. Otherwise, you can just follow the directions for an erase and install!
Might be worth fixing depending how much a repair would cost. Genius Bar could at least diagnose it for you and give a repair estimate. I'd look at what a new or refurbished one with your same specs would cost though to see if the price differential is worth it...

  • Hello. When I connect my imac Start, as usual, comes the start signal and then the white screen with the load signal then nothing happens. What could be the problem?

Hello. When I connect my imac Start, as usual, comes the start signal and then the white screen with the load signal then nothing happens. What could be the problem?

Presuming you get the chime, most of your Mac hardware is working and has passed the first part of the power-on self-test.
If the screen comes on, basic graphics is working.
The dark gray Apple is not present inside the Mac -- it must be loaded from a boot device. If the dark gray Apple appears, at least one of your boot devices has some capabilities. The flower petal/gear moves while Darwin is initializing and loading. If it stops immediately, something is terribly wrong.
When the screen turns blue, Mac OS X has loaded and your graphics card transitions to Interrupt-driven operation. LoginWindow task draws the login screen, and Mac OS X is ready for login.
What could be the problem depends on where in the process it stops, and whether the power light is blinking.
