N8 upload photo problem

Hi,
I had some problem with my N8 phone and i send it to Nokia service center. They reset
tha phone for me and now everything is working fine. But I'm facing a small problem.
Earlier my N8 had link on the photo and video browser to upload photos strait to OVI Social,
but after the reset the link is missing. I've emailed Nokia asking a fix for this and they said
I will have to wait for a firmware update. I have tried reinstalling software update, but
the link is still missing. The 3 links on my photo browser now is 'Send MMS', Mark and Delete.
I've even search on options, but the link is not there. Can any 1 help me to fix this problem?
I still can upload photos from my facebook page, but I prefer uploading from my photo browser. I really hope some 1 can help me.

Hi,
Since I upgrade OVi Social to 1.3 it wont upload photo directly from the photo browser. When i select photo to upload, it do the selecting, it will ask to enter caption and then it says uploading starts, but nothing happen. the photo didn't uploaded. Is there anything I should do or is it a problem with within the social 1.3? Can any 1 help me, please?

Facebook, upload photo problem.

I have been attempting to upload photos, and sometimes when I click upload, it it just goes back to the status screen, or will say can't do it now, try later. Any suggestions?

Any problem with FaceBook's iPhone app is FaceBook's responsibility so this needs to be directed to FaceBook customer or technical support.

My iphoto freezes when trying to use the standard eBay photo upload, the problem started after a recent iOS 7 update. The album photos don't appear until I try and close the upload and immediately freezes. Attempts to close iphoto fail.

A week or so ago I reacted to an Apple update message. The update completed and this left me with a couple of problems. When the imac started up there was a Glims message on screen telling me that the computer had not closed entirely and asking if I wanted to allow glims to reopen previously open files. I ticked yes and Safari froze immediately. This would happen even after a restart, Safari would start up with the Glims message on my Yahoo mail account. Then whether I clicked on the Glims message or not one of various adverts would appear and Safari would immediately freeze. I managed to override this by quickly entering Safari extensions and subscribing to an advertisement blocking programme. Safari now worked without problems but the blocking programme created other problems mostly with iphoto. The eBay uploaded photos were minute. So I decided to remove the Safari blocking extension and all seemed fine for everything except iphoto which now freezes every time I try to upload eBay photo's using the eBay standard upload problem. Yesterday I changed to the other BASIC upload option and that did work. Thought it might be a one of glitch on the Standard but obviously not. Anyone's help would be appreciated. I note that at least one other member is experiencing the same or similar problem today.

Sorry I am 70 and not very computer literate. Please explain in simpler terms. Perhaps I should have said Apple update for my iMac. It did however include an iphoto update. My imac is 3 years old, I also have an ipad 2 and iPhone and both received iOS 7 updates around the same time.

HT2638 Hi, I'm running on IPhoto 09 Version 8.1.2 & recently developed a problem I have recently developed a problem. I am unable to upload photos from my iphone the process will start and maybe upload a few then it freezes.

When i try to upload photos from my iphone iphoto freezes after a few have been uploaded, force quit shows that it is still running. I have left it running for days with no change. In addition Places is continually running, would this have an effect?

The next step is to repair your main library: apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - run Option #4 to rebuild the database.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button and select the library you want to add in the selection window..
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

Problems uploading photos to facebook on Ally

I have been having problems uploading photos from the gallery to facebook. I can upload them fine on twitter but not facebook any ideas... I have tried to reboot, turning off phone and removing battery, still won't upload to facebook.

Try to delete the Facebook application on your device then re-download the application. Once you've downloaded the application, then try to upload your pictures again.

For the last 2 days whenever I try to upload photos from my iPhoto page to facebook I get an error message: Bad Image There was a problem with the image file. I haven't knowingly changed any settings on iPhoto or facebook. Can anyone help, please ?

HELP!!! I definitely need your expertise.
Here is the background:
- I wanted to upload photos onto Kodak Gallery through ofoto Express. Since Ofoto can upload pictures from iPhoto, so i went to organize my photos there.
- I created a new folder (let's call it "F1" ) in iPhoto and then I put new pictures into "F1" from a photo CD, then I manually re-arranged the photo order "F1".
Then here comes all the troubles:
1) Can I resize all the photos in this "F1" album all the once? If so, how do I do that?
2) When I put pictures into this "F1" , I notice the Library, film roll and 2005 also have a copy of my photos except they are all out of order, why is that?
3) Can I just keep one copy of "F1" without having so many duplicated copies elsewhere such as under the YEAR or keywords?
4) Are there good and faster way to upload all 300 full size photos?
5) From the album "F1" I created, I tried to do EXPORT all the photos too, but all the photos that was exported were out of order and not in the right orientation, what can I do and what is the function of this Export then?
6) How come the Duplicate photo function in iPhoto only put the copy right next to the original? Can I have a seperate duplicated folder? When I made duplicate, I found that the library also have the duplication and once I deleted one copy out of two, it deleted the original image in my "F1" album. I don't understand.
7) How come I cannot just make a "copy" of "F1" album to my desktop?
PLEASE HELP, I am so lost!!! Am I the only one that has this problem?

You resize the photo when they are exported, not while they are within iPhoto.

I don't know about the out of order part, but it could be that the album you made you manually moved the images where you wanted them. In the library, roll, and year view, the View is set globally by what you chose under the View menu

Those aren't duplicates, they are just like an alias or a plcaehold for the real image

Not really, it all depends on your connection speed. That amount of images will take a long long time

This has been a problem for many people including me. There have been work arounds listed here on the discussions by Old Toad. You must rename the images with numbers either within iPhoto as a batch change or when you export them, use the album name as a naming scheme and the images will be numbered. This order may or maynot be what you expected though. Like I said working with so many images is going to be very confusing. I will have to try and find Old Toad's solution for you.
Are you uploading these images to put in an online album or for prints. You know you can also manage them on the online album, rearranging order,naming,etc. These online places also limit the number of images for each album.

When I made duplicate, I found that the library also have the duplication and once I deleted one copy out of two, it deleted the original image in my "F1" album. I don't understand.
If you made the duplicate in an Album it will be reflected in the library.
If you delete an image from the library it will be deleted from the album too as the library is the place where all the images are kept. The albums only have place holders. If you want to work on a group of images and want the edits and names etc. to be different than the ones in the library, duplicate all the images in the library first. Make an album and move only the duplicates to the album. Now you can make your images B&W, sepia, edit, crop, etc. and all these edits will be reflected on the duplicates and not the originals n the library.
7) How come I cannot just make a "copy" of "F1" album to my desktop?
You can, but it will take some work to get it exported in the order you want. I will have to do some experimenting to see

Problems uploading photos in Safari with Mavericks

I have a 13" 2013 MacBook Air that I updated last night.
The update included Mavericks and a new version of Safari.
Now, I have major problems when trying to upload photos. Updating my Twitter avatar, for example. For whatever reason, the finder box opens, nothing shows and then it gets stuck and Finder crashes.
Each time this happens I have to force quit on Safari and start over. It always works the second time (if Finder isn't still stuck). It seems like I need a fresh browser instance for it to even work.
Anyone else experience the same or is it limited to me?

You probably have a corrupt .plist file. To fix:
1. Hold down the option key.
2. In the Go menu in the Finder, scroll down to Library
3. In Library, find Preferences
4. In Preferences, find com.apple.doc.plist and drag it to the trash
5. restart
6. you will have to reenter your preferences.
7. you also seem to have some problem with your keyboard- a lot of random letters appearing and not appearing when you type.

Problems with uploading photos to Facebook - Photoshop elements 9

Yesterday I was able to upload photos to Facebook with no problems, but today I just keep getting a message to say I can't upload. I get a message saying "there is a problem with your internet connection. Please check that the firewall is not blocking Elements organiser or that you have an internet connection". The firewall is not blocking it and I do have an internet connection, I can upload to Flickr, and I attach to email's as attachments, but I cannot upload to Facebook.
It was fine yesterday and I can't work out why it isn't working today - nothing has changed at my end - is anyone else experiencing the same problem and does anyone know how to fix it?

Uploading photo's problem.

Ive been trying for a while to upload photos to various web site including facebook.I click on to i photo i get to the start of the i photo library but then get the spinning beach ball.I cant do anything else from then on and my only option is to shut down by keeping hold of the on/offf button.Any one any idea what the problem is.Any help,info willl be very much appreciated.(also tried via image shack and that just the same)

You should definitely uninstall Norton. It has a reputation for causing problems, and it doesn't even do a very good job of detecting Mac malware. There's no reason to have it installed, as its protection is therefore dubious at best, and every reason not to. If you want to learn how to properly protect yourself from malware, see my Mac Malware Guide.
If removing Norton doesn't solve the problem, you may want to try posting your question in the iPhoto forum.

Uploading to where?
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. What were you doing when the problem arose?
- Did it ever work properly?
- Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
Anything else you can think of that might allow someone else to understand your issue.

Upload photo to photo library problem

Hi,
i have problem with uploading photo from PC via browser to photo library. Photo was taken by iphone and has in EXIF information taht was taken at 10:21 am but after uploading it show on web gallery that it was taken at 19:21. In settings i found time zone showing GMT-7 but on the map i have set central european zone. So i dont understand why it shows GMT-7. If i click on name of zone nothing happen. I tried internet explorer, google chrome and also safari and there is no difference ...

Yes You have right. I downloaded photo from iCloud and it has in EXIF the same time as original. But i see that i photo downloaded from iCloud has not the same EXIF. Informations from GPS is missing....is it right ?

Problems uploading photos

Hi, Hope this is in the right place.
I'm trying to upload photos into facebook from my iMac. I've clicked on the upload to facebook icon in iphoto but just get an error message saying 'error occurred with iPhoto - try again later. I've also had problems lately when I click on a photo to open it I just get a grey screen with an exclamation mark. I've downloaded the latest software but nothing seems to work.
Can anyone help please?

The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later...
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .
