N8 wont turn up but its charging URGENT
Hello,
I've had my N8 for a year and a week.Four days ago when I wanted to turn up my phone it kept loading for several minutes then the hands logo appeared but froze int the middle.After the hands logo froze the phone kept loading again for several minutes then the hands logo appeared again . I tried pressing the power off button for 8 seconds but the phone only turned off,and when I tried to start my phone it did the same. I send it to Nokia Care but they said they couldnt do anything because they probably think there is something wrong with the motherboard. I don't know what to do anymore.Is there any hope for my phone?
If a Nokia Care Point were unable to get the phone started then it is highly unlikely that we will be of any help to you here. I presume they have already tried all the normal stuff such as hard resets, removing all cards etc..
Before disposing the phone no harm getting a second opinion if there is a second care point near you.

You make an appointment at the genius bar of your local Apple Store and get it serviced/replaced. You broke it. If you can't even force a reboot, there's nothing much more you can do.

my ipad wont turn on after a nigth charge, pressing home and off at the same time wont work, the ipad is a little bit hot.
That doesn't sound good, have you tried holding down both the Home & Sleep/Wake buttons together for approx 10 seconds - realise you've mentioned this but not sure if you've tried it for that amount of time or until the Apple Logo appears?
Failing this if you plug in the charger and cable and connect it to the mains and your iPad does anything appear on the screen?

Dropped my ipod down the toilet! it wont turn on but it charges...
I dropped my ipod down the toilet about a week ago, and put it in a bag of rice for a few days straight away. I put my ipod on charge when i took it out, because it turned off when it was in the toilet and my lock button doesnt work so that is the only way it would turn on. it didn't turn on, but it still charges, as i can feel it overheating. any help on how to turn it back on? Will it ever come back on? Thanks.
If not dry then dry in a sealed container of desiccant like uncooked rice and periodically change the rice.
Do not charge or use until dry. Your iPod may be permenently damaged by trying to use it when still wet.
Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $199 for 64 GB 4G and $99 for the other 4GS. They do not fix yours.

My mac mini wont turn on but there is power to it as the usb port charges my iPad. My monitor uses a HDMI cable when the mac mini is off it says no input received which it does not say so it is receiving some signal from the mac mini. I have tried a different cable and a different monitor/ hdmi cable. The fan isnt running there is no start up noise but the little light on the front blinks every 4-5 seconds. Im booked in to see a GENIUS on sunday but I was wondering if there is anything I can do in the mean time. The mac mini is only 8 months old if that. Any ideas people? Oh the mac is also running mountain lion and has been since the day of release i've never had a problem up until this.

Can you count the beeps or flashes?
1 beep = no RAM installed
2 beeps = incompatible RAM types
3 beeps = no good banks
4 beeps = no good boot images in the boot ROM (and/or bad sys config block)
5 beeps = processor is not usable
In addition to the beeps, on some computers the power LED will flash a corresponding number of times plus one. The LED will repeat the sequence after approximately a 5-second pause. The tones are only played once.
Note: In this case, a flash is considered to be 1/4 second or 250 ms or greater in length.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Did you already try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again? You will not lose data by resetting.
