N80-memory full

Today i installed some themes i found on the net and when i installed the third one it came up with a message something like memory low remove data. Just curious did the phone remove the data or was it just informing me i needed to perform this task. I assumed the latter and reinstalled themes on the memory card.

When i used to get "memory full" type errors, i found it wasnt referring to memory as-in "RAM" memory, it meant disk space
Quite often if you have installed lots of apps/themes using Nokia PC Suite then the .sis files are stored on your phone and will stay there even after the installation is completed, taking up space on your phone
Use a program like "Y! Browser" and go to c:\data\installs
In this folder you will probably see lots of .sis files for things you have installed. These can all be deleted to free up space

  • N80 memory full message, how do I fix, please help

    I have had my N80 for only a few months, and in that time it has become increasingly frustrating to use.
    I am starting to think that it would be better off being placed on a golf tee and driven into a million pieces.
    My frustration compounded today with an message that came up on the screen.
    "Memory full. Close applications and try again."
    Ok.. what?
    If I go in and look at the available phone memory, it has more than half memory left, so what is with the message.
    I've tried shutting down applications, but there are none running! I hold down that button it says to, and the only application showing, is 'stand by'.
    I have moved everything onto the mini card within..
    So.. how do I fix this problem.
    Extremely frustrating. Nokia, you are losing me very quickly as a consumer with this pathetic excuse for a phone.
    It is slow, jerky, SLOW, and most of all SLOW!!!!
    I close applications by exiting them, I've done everythingI can think of bar deleting my contact list of 249.. so that aint gunna happen..
    Please, can someone help me?

  • N80 - memory issues

    I've run into a few problems with my N80 and it's RAM (execution / program RAM, not storage RAM). The main problem is that it isn't freeing RAM properly, I don't know if this is an N80 issue or just an issue with my phone. If I restart the phone it shows around 10mb RAM free, this drops slowly with programs loading. I don't usually run into the "Memory full" problems, although I've seen them a few times, and I with the programs I run it ends up around 4-5mb free. When I close the program and check again it might show about 6-7mb so somewhere along the line 3mb+ is not being released. As I understand it, the phone should have about 18mb RAM after a restart but I'm not getting close to that, the most I've ever seen free is 13.7mb with an average of about 10.5mb
    If anyone has suggestions as to how I can sort this out or a workaround I'd appreciate it!

    You're misunderstanding what I mean dezi. The memory you're talking about is storage memory, it's not the same as memory where programs run. I have a 2Gb memory card in my phone but it's not the same memory
    To make matters more interesting regarding my issue though, I booted the phone up earlier and holding down the pencil key to avoid loading any auto-start programs I ended up with 14.7mb free. That's more than I've had before but it's still not what I should be getting. To add to this, I looked up the memory usage every now and then over a few hours without using anything else. The memory dropped to 13.7mb when I'd done nothing but look at the contacts before closing it. I don't have more than 20 contacts so it shouldn't be that much used, even if it was it should be freed afterwards.

  • 7650 Memory full

    My 7650 (backup phone) does not start. When power on i receive error msg. "Memory full". And then it restarts and the same thing happends again and again.
    Is it possible to fix this problem without having to go to an Nokia service partner?

    I love the way you felt you had to write "Backup phone" like you were embarrassed about it. They are a great phone and still sell quite easily on a certain well known auction site. I sold mine only last year. As for the problem, the reset should work, failing that take it to a NSC and get them to take a look. Could be a hardware fault. I seem to remember mine did that a few times when I first got it but it fixed itself and worked beautifully for 3 more years.
    Is that an N95 in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me?!?
    Life's too important to take seriously.

  • NOKIA N 80 - GENERAL MEMORY FULL

    Why does the mobile often state the message General memory full when playing a video or browsing, is the internal memory very small ??

    I have this problem at times - I suspect it is a software issue, as my N70 did not have the same problems yet they both have similar internal memory if I remember. This latest release of Symbian is meant to be more efficient? Hopefully the next firmware release will solve this?
    The N80 is meant to multi-task i.e. you can have a number of applications running at one time, which you can switch between, much like 'windows' on a pc. Saying that, have you checked to see that you are not running too many at once (i.e. you have started but not 'exited' the application - there is a practical limit. In particular I find that the web browser (not the services browser) simply eats memory, again this may be a software bug.....
    (nb memory as in ram not physical internal memory)

  • LG Ally text message memory full

    I have had this phone for a little over a month now and I get the message "text memory full" all the time. I have 2 conversations open all the time and I clear them once a week. Other than that I don't have tons of messages. I looked online and it said to clear my cache. Well when I tried to do that it helped some but I deleted all my  live backgrounds that came on the phone and that I use, and now I can't figure out how to get them back. I really like the phone but I'm tired of having to clear all of this stuff every so often. I have never had that with any phone and I don't get a warning to clear stuff before it happens. Does anyone have any suggestions????

    I have given some steps below that may be helpful when getting the “text memory full” message.
    Check your messaging options:
    -Click the icon button (the one with the 32 little boxes’)
    -Click on the messages icon
    -Click your menu button (the hard key with the 4 vertical lines)
    -Select settings
    -Delete old messages (I would recommend checking this option, as it ensure the limit is not reached)
    -Test message limit (change to desired number, the bigger the number, the better)
    I would also recommend occasionally (as needed) deleting some of the threads as well.
    -Click the icon button (the one with the 32 little boxes’)
    -Click the messages icon
    -Click menu button (the hard key with the 4 vertical lines)
    -Select Delete Threads
    I would also recommend checking the devices memory (I have listed those instructions below
    -Click the icon button (the one with the 32 little boxes’)
    -Click on the settings icon
    -Click SD card & Phone Storage
    -Available space should give you a number in MB’s (megabytes)
    Lastly, I would recommend stopping any applications that don’t need to be running. For instructions click HERE.
    Hope this helps!

  • Memory full.Not enough memory for operation.

    To the Report Design Team,
    It has been suggested that I post this issue here based on another thread I started: Re: Memory full.Not enough memory for operation.
    The template contains a single 24 bit PNG image as a background in the Page Header section, plus 9 image records from a SQL Server image field over 3 pages (3 images per page).  The images are all JPG at 3000x2000 (digital camera).
    To summarize, we are experiencing three problems.
    1. CR2008SP2 Designer issues a Memory Full error when Exporting to PDF.
    2. Using a 3rd party PDF Printer (Bullzip PDF) and CR2008SP2 Designer generates a PDF, however, the CR2008SP2 API throws a "Memory full" exception suggesting Designer and API are different (see stack trace in linked message above).
    3. With only 3 images on 1 page, CR2008 Designer Export to PDF takes 110 seconds to generate a 24MB PDF while our third party PDF Printer generates the same report in 17 seconds and 580KB.
    Edited by: Don Williams on Sep 30, 2009 6:43 AM

    The .rpt file size is 14MB with the Data Save option enabled, 12MB without Data Save.  Presumably the 12MB file size is because of the 24bit PNG we have as our background.
    The Designer executes the report in less than a second and we can scroll through all pages and see the image fields perfectly.
    When we Export to PDF, the Designer takes a long time, eventually gets to the 77%, the 7th record and returns "Export report failed" followed by "Memory full".  If we export only page 1 of the 3 pages, it also returns a Memory full error.  However, when the same report is run with only 1 page, that page exports to PDF but with a ridiculously large size and export time.
    The machine has 2GB of physical memory with an 8GB pagefile with Windows 2003 (latest everything).  The process runs up to about 1GB before reporting the memory full error.
    We've also tried a variety of other suggestions posted in the other thread with no success.
    We're happy to provide the RPT file to the Report Team to diagnose the problem.  Ultimately, we need to be able to produce a 15 page report with approximately 45 images.
    Our preferred scenario is fixing problem 2.  The CR Designer seems quite capable of rendering our report and printing it to our third party PDF printer in a timely manner with small size.  However, the API reports memory full.
    The API resides in a dedicated reporting web service with NO other code except for loading the report, setting parameters and printing.  When executing, it uses up to about 1.1GB before reporting the error.
    Are there any other suggestions for fixing what we have?  Are there known problems with large images in reports?  Do we need to lodge a formal support request?
    Regards,  Grant.

  • Nokia C5-03 SIM memory full... but NO SIM MESSAGES...

    Hello everyone. I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section, I'm new here.
    Recently my C5-03 has a flashing envelope on the screen saying the SIM memory is full.
    I searched on Google and found some topics saying to go to Messages -> SIM messages and delete them...
    But problem is... no SIM messages appear! I'm desperate and can't find any other solution... what can I do?!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi Hardstylehunt3r,
    Thank you for your post and welcome to the Nokia discussion forums.
    Sorry to hear about your issue but there certain steps you can try to resolve this issue.
    Memory full messages may occur if there are too many applications running at the same time or if there is not enough free space in the phone memory. Depending on the error message, the following actions can be taken:
    "Memory Full: Close some applications and try again"
    In this case there are too many applications active at the same time. The problem can be fixed by closing some of the applications:
    Long press the Menu key to see the list of active applications.
    Select the applications which are not needed and close them.
    If this doesn't help, switch off and restart the phone.
    "Memory Full: Delete or remove some data from C: Phone memory"
    The phone notifies you if the phone memory or memory card memory is getting low. There can be different error messages shown this situation, e.g.:
    "Memory Full: Delete or remove some data from C: Phone memory"
    "Disk Full : Automatic retrieval of mailbox for exchange disabled"
    To free phone memory, transfer some data to the memory card with the File mgr application (select Menu > Applications > File mgr.). Select or mark files to be moved, select Options >Organise > Move to folder and then the destination folder.
    In order to free memory, you could also remove or move the following:
    Messages from Inbox, Drafts and Sent folders in Messaging.
    Retrieved e-mail messages from the phone memory.
    Saved Web pages. Clear the web browser cache to free some memory (select Options > Clear privacy data > Cache).
    Saved images, videos, or sound files.
    Contact information.
    Calendar notes.
    Downloaded application packages.
    If there are applications which are not needed any more, uninstall them (select Menu > Settings > Data mgr. > App.mgr. > Installed apps.).
    Any other data that you no longer need
    If possible, use the memory card instead of phone memory in the Camera application (selectOptions > Settings > Memory in use to define the memory where the images are stored). You can also use Nokia Suite to transfer images and video clips to your PC.
    If you are deleting multiple items and any of the following notes are shown: Not enough memory to perform operation. Delete some data first or Memory low. Delete some data, try deleting items one by one (starting from the smallest item).
    Or you can try this:
    To release the phone memory and change the email store from the phone memory to the memory card, follow the steps below.
    Select Menu > Messaging and Options > Settings > Other.
    Select  Memory in use> Memory card.
    To question Copy all messages to the new message memory?, select Yes.
    To question Save original messages?, select No if you want to release the phone memory or select Yes if you wish to keep the original messages in the phone memory.
    Alternatively you can sync your phone with Nokia suite and clear the messages that way if it is not showing on your device. Full instructions on how to sync can be found on the follwing link:
    http://support.ovi.com/osc/en_GB/service/ovi_on_your_computer/howto/support-suite-syncing-and-backin...,
    If this doesnt help you can try doing a soft reset by inputting code *#7780#. This wont delete any data but rather reset your phone settings. If the device ask for a default code this is usually 12345.
    There's a lot to try to resolve here so give it a go and let me know if any helps.
    Regards
    Raoul_Duke

  • Nokia C5-03 Error: Memory full. Close some applica...

    Hi,
    I purchased this phone mainly to use for Navigation and phone, but disappointed by the error shows up every time when you are in need while using Map.
    I do not have any extra applications running other than it came with. I have closed all the running application which running map. Phone software and Map is upto date with version (V22.0.007 and 2.45 on map) Earlier versions also same problem. Currently the available memory shows 27.2 MB)
    I tried all the solutions given in /t5/Hardware-Codes-and-Operator/Nokia-C5-03-SIM-memory-full-but-NO-SIM-MESSAGES/m-p/1260683#M25236, but no use. Same error.
    Is there any way out other than choosing another phone and brand?
    Regards
    Simon
    Moderator's notes: Post moved into it's own thread.

    I am completely frustrated with this phone (Nokia C5-03). I originally wanted a smartphone but didn't want to buy the brand leader like everyone else so I thought I could rely on a Nokia.  I have had this phone for less than 12 months now and I have already done a full reset TWICE and have lost all of my information.  On both occasions when the memory problems starting occurring with the phone I tried to back up my info to my PC but the phone told me that I had "not enough memory to perform operation"!!!! I am now getting memory full messages every 10 minutes and the phone will do nothing for me.
    There is nothing left on the phone to delete.  I had my email synched to the phone originally for about two weeks but had to get rid of it as it was slowing the phone down.  I never connect to the internet with the phone - I mean NEVER. In browsing the web for solutions I am constantly finding varied and interesting comments about clearing the cache via the web app (I cannot connect to the web on the phone now - NOT ENOUGH MEMORY TO PERFORM OPERATION) and connecting my phone to a PC and browsing the memory to find out what the "other files" are (NOT ENOUGH MEMORY TO PERFORM OPERATION) or even downloading software onto the computer, running this in the background as I connect phone to PC in order to clear the memory (NOT ENOUGH MEMORY TO PERFORM OPERATION).
    I reiterate that I use the phone for nothing other than SMS and calls.  I had images on the phone but they are long gone. I have done two full resets to factory default settings and I'm facing another one and I am beyond frustrated. Please dont tell me to connect to my PC (see above) dont tell me to connect to web via phone (see above).  My phone memory is showing 22MB SIS applications (which I understand I cannot get rid off) and 46MB other files (WHY????) I reiterate that I do not (and now cannot) browse the web on the phone, I don't use e-mail on the phone, all I do is sms and calls.   WHY WHY WHY is my phone not working?  Is there anything to be done with this phone or do I put it out of its misery?

  • Memory full error

    I'm getting "memory full error" during generation of report. CR version is 8.5. The report contains 2 sub reports. Can anyone suggest what exactly the problem is and what could be the solution ... ??
    Thanks in advance ...

    And if you run the report int he Designer do you get the same error?
    If not then what is the application doing when it gets the error?
    What have you done to debug the issue?
    Yes, getting the same error in designer also. My application is actually passing data to CR for some inventory related display. The report contains 3 sub reports linked with main report. I'm debugging all the sub reports as I doubt that it can be bcoz of one of the sub reports.  Will check and update you ...

  • Why is my memory full when i have only used half of it?

    Hi all, i have a 2012 MBA 120GB, i am new to mac books but have had all the other apple products for a long time.
    my MBA is constantly telling me "memory full" and other messages like that. i have looked at "about this mac" and it displays i have 60gb of music, photos, apps etc, and the other 60gb is "other", and therer is no memory left.
    i have deleted all of my emails in all boxes to see if this is it, and it isnt. i dont have any back ups, for our iphones and itunes at all, and i havent set up time machine either. i am at a total loss as to why this could be.
    i have avoided using it latley because i cant put anymore photos or music on to it. the only thing that i have done to it since i have had it is install Mountain lion, and microsoft office for mac.
    i have looked around for the answer to this and have come up with nothing, i'm no expert at all with a mac, i have looked at installing daisydisk or something like that, but i dont have enough memory to install it!! so if anyone has a step by step guide as to how to sort this out i would be REALLY grateful!!

    anyone?

  • Memory full/video freeze - backup - Spiderman (!)

    Hi
    Read lots of these posts regarding memory full errors, so I am planning to upgrade the firmware. However when doing the backup, it's told me that it could not back-up copyright material (I am assuming this is the Spiderman vid that came with it) - Am I right in thinking that I will therefore loose Spiderman when I update the firmware?
    The problem with memory manifests itself as follows:
    Approximately 5GB free on the phone.
    I have 660mb of music
    When ever I download more than about 80MB of podcasts, the memory is full ...
    I have also suffered from the video freeze problem - once you have a couple of vids on the phone, it will freeze for a couple of seconds. Whilsts other has said it is to do with the I/O speed of the mass memory, I don;t think it is - it is too intermittent. e.g. went to Coldplay gig. First vid - no skip (about 5 mins) 2nd & 3rd attempts to vid - froze after a couple of seconds - then managed 10 minutes straight off. No changes to settings..
    Anyhow - if you can let me know about spiderman - is he a gonner on my phone when I update the firmware?

  • "Memory full." error while exporting report to PDF format - CR2008SP2

    <br>
    Hello,<br>
    <br>
    I am developing a C#.NET application that uses the CR2008 SP2 .NET libraries. This application performs some database updates and uses CR2008 SP2 to run 7 different reports and export the results to PDF files. This application is a console application that only uses Crystal to export the rendered reports - it does not use previews or printing.<br>
    <br>
    The specific pattern of this application is as follows:<br>
    <br>
    - perform some database updates<br>
    - render report #1 and export it as a PDF file<br>
    - perform some database updates<br>
    - render report #2 and export it as a PDF file<br>
    ... pattern repeats to report #7 ...<br>
    <br>
    This application works fine as long as I run only one instance of it at a time. The problem occurs when I try to run multiple instances of this application at the same time. When I run multiple instances of this application at the same time (against totally different databases) each instance will start up happily and begin running through the process described above. After a few moments one or more instances will fail during the report export. The specific error is as follows:<br>
    <br>
    "Memory full. Failed to export the report. Not enough memory for operation."<br>
    <br>
    The error always comes from the call to:<br>
    <br>
    CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument.ExportToDisk(Format, FileName)<br>
    <br>
    I have watched the memory consumption of these instances of my application while they are running. They never seem to exceed approximately 52MB each. At this time task manager reports over 1GB of physical memory free. These numbers lead me to believe that memory is not actually "full".<br>
    <br>
    Here are some specifics about the environment:<br>
    <br>
    Dell Vostro 1720 / P8600 / 4GB<br>
    Windows 7 Ultimate x64<br>
    SQL Server 2008 SP1 x64<br>
    Crystal Reports 2008 SP2<br>
    <br>
    Specifics about the C# application:<br>
    <br>
    IDE: Visual Studio 2008 SP1<br>
    Type: Console Application<br>
    Target platform: x86<br>
    .NET Framework: 3.5 SP1<br>
    Crystal References:<br>
    - CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine (v12.0.2000.0)<br>
    - CrystalDecisions.Shared (v12.0.2000.0)<br>
    <br>
    Specifics about the report templates:<br>
    <br>
    The report templates are RPT files saved from CR2008 SP2. They are relatively simple. A few of them (maybe 3) contain a single subreport.<br>
    <br>
    Specifics about the database:<br>
    <br>
    Each database is approximately 1GB in size. The database contains many tables but the reports only access a handful of tables. Each table that the reports access have maybe a few hundred rows tops. Most have less than 100. Likewise, when the reports perform their selections the resulting rowset for the reports is anywhere from about 20 records to a few hundred records tops.<br>
    <br>
    A few items to note:<br>
    <br>
    - Multiple instances of my application need to be able to run on a single machine at the same time. It is a specific design requirement.<br>
    - My application works fine as long as I run only one instance of it at a time.<br>
    - My application works fine when I run multiple instances if I comment out the Crystal part of it.<br>
    - My application works fine when I run multiple instances if I change the export format from PDF to HTML32 or HTML40 (have not tried any others)<br>
    - The machine has over 1GB of physical memory free when this error occurs.<br>
    - I have taken steps to ensure that I am properly disposing of my CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument instance just after each export is complete. I have tried to use the "using" keyword, as well as explicitly setting the instance to null and calling the .NET framework garbage collector. This did not seem to help.<br>
    <br>
    Any assistance with this issue would be greatly appreciated.<br>

    <br>
    Jonathan & Ludek,<br>
    <br>
    Thanks for the timely response and good suggestions guys!<br>
    <br>
    I have performed a few more tests today in order to help answer some of your questions.<br>
    <br>
    Below are my responses. Some of them are answers to questions and some of them are observations based on tests I have performed today.<br>
    <br>
    - The database system is SQL Server 2008 SP1 Developer Edition x64.<br>
    <br>
    - The C# application connects to the database using the native .NET SQL client (System.Data.Sql).<br>
    <br>
    - During runtime I connect the report to the database by looping through the ReportDocument.Database.Tables collection. For each Table found I create a CrystalDecisions.Shared.TableLogOnInfo instance, fill in the table name, server name, database name, user ID, and password, and use Table.ApplyLogOnInfo() to apply it. I do the same thing for the subreports collection if there are any. Like I said, about half of the reports contain a single subreport.<br>
    <br>
    - The report templates are currently set to use the "SQLOLEDB" Provider. The Database Type is set to "OLE DB (ADO)". I am not entirely sure what you mean by trying a different database driver. I assume you mean to change the provider? If so, given the fact that we are using SQL Server 2008, what would I change it to?<br>
    <br>
    - If I do not perform the database updates during application runtime (instead, perform them ahead of time and then allow the application to only render the reports) then I still have the same problem. Nothing changes.<br>
    <br>
    - I installed the Fix Pack 2.5, rebooted, and tried again. Same problem.<br>
    <br>
    - I do not beleive that I am using XML transforms. How would I know?<br>
    <br>
    - Regarding fragmented memory: It is hard for me to believe that, given the amount of memory free on the machine once all processes are up and running (1GB+), and the size of the processes (~50MB), that a contiguous block could not be found. Maybe there is some Crystal process that is attempting to balloon out of control, but as far as I can tell my application is not getting very big. I will not rule this out of course because I don't know for sure.<br>
    <br>
    - Regarding killing the process once a report is rendered: The problem with this is that the application needs to perform these 7 groups of updates and render these 7 reports in a specific sequence all as part of one complete "pass". Also, this application needs to be able to be able to handle a scneario where one or more instance of the application is started on a single machine at roughly the same time (pointed at different databases). The application actually does work fine in this regard (staying well within the capabilities of my 4GB laptop even when 8 of them are running) except that I always get the same error when I choose PDF as my export format.<br>
    <br>
    - I ran a test today where I changed the export format to HTML40 and started 8 instances of the application at the same time, each working from a different copy of the database. The instances ran a little slow but did complete in good time with no errors. Please note that changing the export format to PDF will cause the application to fail with the "memory full" error if even only 2 instances are running at the same time. The only way I can successfully complete a run with the export format set to PDF is to run only 1 instance at a time. I can run it over and over all day long and it will not fail, as long as only 1 instance is running at a given time. As of yesterday I had only proven that the application would complete when using the HTML40 export format when 2 or 4 instances are running, but today I doubled it again (to 8) and still no failure while using HTML40. This is possibly the most interesting fact about this problem, and is another reason why I am skeptical that memory fragmentation is the culprit.<br>
    <br>
    We would like to solve this problem because we would like to continue to target the PDF format. It is the standard report export format for our applications. If we cannot solve this problem we may call a meeting and decide whether to proceed with the HTML40 export format, or possibly dump Crystal from this project altogether.<br>
    <br>
    Thanks again for your interest in our problem and your timely and helpful responses. I'm really not sure where to go next ... maybe change the database provider in the templates? I will need some specific advice in this area because I'm not sure what to do. Any more ideas you guys have will be greatly appreciated on this end!<br>

  • HP OFFICEJET PRO 8500 - A909 - HOW DO I CLEAR FAX MEMORY IF FAX MEMORY FULL

    HELP// WHILE I WAS RECEIVING ALARGE FAX, MY PAPER RAN OUT. DURING THE TIME IT TOOK ME TOREPLACE THE PAPER, THE MESSAGE FAX MEMORY FULL. CAN NOT RECEIVE FAX . WHAT CAN I DO ? NOW I CAN'T RECEIVE ANY NEW FAXES. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO CLEAR OR PRINT FROM MEMORY. SENIOR CITIZEN BLUES NOW IN EFFECT. I'VE FALLEN & I CAN'T GET UP, MENTAL  FATIGUE

    Hello CLEONFOWLER,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
    I understand you're unable to receive a fax and now a message appears stating fax memory full using the Officejet 8500 A909. I will do my best to assist you and hopefully the information I will provide is going to avoid mental fatigue.
    I am going to recommend performing a hard reset on your printer which could clear the message fax memory full. Please leave your printer turned on> Disconnect the power cord out of the printer for more than 60 seconds.
    Just to let you know, this will remove every fax in your memory. It will clear the message and you can start receiving faxes again. The fax you were trying to receive will have to be re-sent.
    Please post your results, as I will be looking forward to hearing from you. Have a great day!
    I worked on behalf of HP.

  • Unexplainable MEMORY FULL error in 8.2

    Alright, I finally got my client to take a look at LV 8.2 (we've been on LV 7.0 for 3 years).
    So I have it running in Evaluation mode (we haven't purchased it yet).
    I'm running in WinXP Pro/SP2 under Virtual PC 7.0 on a 2x2GHz G5 Power Mac.
    The program works perfectly on LV 7, on a real Win2000 box, and on this Virtual PC setup.
    The first time I try to run one of my programs in LV 8.2, I get this MEMORY FULL error.
    It complains about the INITIALIZE ARRAY function. Notice that it's wired to the #SAMPLES control which is set to the highest I32 value possible (as a default condition). You might think that that's it - I'm trying to allocate 2+ gig of samples, and it just can't do it.
    Here's the kicker:
    The break point at INITIALIZE ARRAY did NOT get hit.
    The break point at the CASE ouside of that did NOT get hit.
    A break point at the CASE outside of that (not shown in this pic) did NOT get hit.
    The FUNCTION control on the front panel is NOT set to INIT, but to "ShutDown", which SHOULD cause a different case to be executed.
    A breakpoint at the parent's call to this VI DID get hit. But if I step IN from there, the first step stops at the WHILE loop, the next step hits the error.
    This VI is not re-entrant, or any other weird setting.
    In other words, it appears to be executing the wrong case.
    This is my first try on LV 8.x, so maybe I'm missing something. Is it trying to be "helpful" and warn me about what it thinks are future problems?
    Why is it executing the wrong case?

    Alright - here's the bug - the stupidest thing I've ever seen from LabVIEW.
    This library is in LV 7.0 - it works perfectly in LabVIEW 7.
    But in LabVIEw 8.2, in SPITE of the fact that I call it with a function of SHUTDOWN, it insists on complaining about the code that I DON'T EXECUTE.
    Run the BUG CALLER and see for yourself.
