N80/Outlook Calendar/PC Suite

Not sure whats going on here but I just tried syncing my calendar with the new N80 with the rel 21 of 6.8. I noticed that some of my meetings generated by colleagues in London are out by an hour. I am based in Singapore. Looking through the forums it looks like these problems were fixed from earlier releases.
My timezone on both PC and phone are correct. Any ideas ?
WinXP SP2
Outlook 2003
PC Suite 6.80.21

I have the same problem
XP SP1
outlook 2000
Nokia N80
PC Suite 6.8
my meeting on outloook may be 3pm but on my n80 they come up as 2pm
so i changed my fone to 3pm, then synced and then it updated my outlook calandar to 4pm !!
I cant seem to find a way around this yet
some worked out ok as long as i deleted from both outlook and my n80, then added them new in outlook and then synced with my n80. but i have so many meetings on my outlook i couldnt possibly delete all of them and create them again.
anybody have any ideas?

    Hi,
Yeah that's why I asked if you had a backup from before. See your device calendar entries are almost certainly
    corrupt.
Here is what we can try:
Backup the BB. This crates an .IPD file.
Use this utility to convert the ipd into an import file to Outlook:
    http://www.processtext.com/abcblackberry.html
I think it goes for $20. If we can get a successful import file to outlook, we can the fix your BB,
I suggest this be done soonest, in case something happens to the Blackberry.

  • Entries made in Sprint BB 8330 will not sync to Outlook Calendar

I just got a Sprint BB 8330 and have set up 2-way sync for Outlook Calendar, Tasks, Memos & Address Book. The 2-way sync works for Tasks, Memos and Address Book except the Outlook Calendar. The Outlook Calendar syncs to the BB but entries made on the BB do not sync back onto the Outlook Calendar. I traded my Sprint Treo which worked perfectly with 2-way syncs on my Dell laptop using XP for this SmartPhone which isn't doing what it is said to do.  I have done quit a bit of research on this and found that this problem is happening to a lot of other users. We should file a class action suit against Blackberry since it is a common problem and they seem to being nothing to fix it that I have found but they keep on selling them.  Thanks for your help.

Open up your Desktop Manager, then go to Synchronize/Configuration/Configure Sync. In there, you will find that you are only allowing synchronization one way...from your desktop to your BB. You can configure your synchronization from that screen so that it is bi-directional.

  • N86 no longer syncs with Outlook Calendar and Task

I have been having much troubles with syncing my N86 (recently updated to 30.009 firmware) to my Outlook 2003 with Ovi Suite 2.1.1.1.
At first, the Contacts kept duplicating themselves.  I have about 1000 contacts in my Outlook, but Ovi Suite (and my N86 device) ends up sometimes with 1800 contacts -- of which 800 are duplicates.  This is very annoying and time consuming to clean up of course.  I have discovered that the problem is somehow linked to Ovi.com.  I have since turned off syncing to Ovi.com and only keep my N86 device in sync with Outlook and Ovi Suite.  But that wasn't before I had to basically delete all my contacts from the N86 device and from Ovi Suite, followed by a sync to Outlook.
Around this same time, I have noticed that my N86 device was missing appointments that I had entered into Outlook 2003.  I discovered that the N86 device no longer syncs to Outlook through Ovi Suite.  I keep getting the error message "Sync Canceled -- Could not sync calendar items and tasks. Plug the USB cable into your device again or connect via Bluetooth. Then sync again."  I did reconnect my N86 device but the same error message shows each time.  Basically, Ovi Suite has stopped syncing Calendar items with my N86 device now.
Can anyone suggest what might have gone wrong?  Has anyone else experienced this problem?  What can I do to get my calendar items back into my device?

    Hi Tickles,
Could you be more specific about your issue.
Which operating system do u use?
Are you trying to connect thru cable or thru Bluetooth?
Go to OVI suite -> help -> About nokia OVI suite -> System information. Paste the information...

  • Outlook calendar synchronization does not delete

    Hi
I am synchronizing my Outlook calendar with my N93 and it is generally working fine, but I am having one problem:
If an appointment that has already been synchronized to the phone is later on deleted it will not be removed from the phone calendar on the next synchronization. In the same way if the time of an existing (and already synchronized) appointment is updated both the old and the new time is registered as an appointment on the phone after the next synchronization.
However, the non-deleted items are not synchronized back to Outlook so after the sync the two calendars are actually not the same any more.
I have set up PC Suite to synchronize both ways and letting Outlook win on conflicts. (have also tried to set it to just Outlook->phone, but no difference)
I am running MS Outlook 2007 on Windows XP SP2.
Nokia PC Suite is version 6.85.14.1.
    My phone is a N93.
    Thanks in advance!
    /Peter

    Salam,
I want to know if i can record sound in my N93 for more than 1 minute.
And i want if i can find a logiciel for alarme to install in my N93.
Thank you very much for your answer.

  • Synchronizing Outlook Calendar with Phone -- Autom...

Windows XP  SP3,  Outlook 2003, PC Suite 7.1.26.0, Nokia 6102i phone.
So, I have the phone syncronization set-up to synchronize calendar 1 week prior and 2 months after.
I had assumed that this would remove old appointments from the phone.  It does not, and now the calendar memory is full.
I know that My Outlook calendar has these old appointments still in it.
Even if I remove them, I don't think the sync software will see it as a conflict requiring resolution by deleting, even if I crank up the sync option to multiple months before.
Any tips on automatically deleting these old appointments, even if it is phone-side?  Manually deleting hundreds is not my idea of a fun saturday...
    Thanks

Nokia has helped me with a solution...
    My previous sync settings were:
    1. automatic synchronisation - do not synchroniseautomatically 2. conflict resolution - Microsoft outlook 3. Direction - updatein both directions 4. Sync profile - empty
I have now created a sync profile on the phone and haveset the same one on PC sync (not sure if that did anything)
I also changed the Direction setting to: Delete allmobile phone data and replace it with outlook data
    And have run a sync.
This has worked to delete all old outlook emails etc. Ican see that I will need to do this every now and again to ensure that thephone doesn't get full of old entries.
I will now return the sync setting to - update in bothdirections. Until I need to do it again.
    Thanks for your help everyone.

  • Cannot synchronise Outlook Calendar onto N73

I have latest PC Suite (6.84) running on Windows Vista Home Premium. I have synchronised Contacts but it refuses to do so with Calendar or Notes.
Also if starting sync from N73 it defaults to Bluetooth and I cannot get it to use USB Cable.
I have also updated phone with latest software.

    Hey Bula123,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
    Thanks for the question.
Do you get a specific error when you try to synchronize your Outlook calendar to the BlackBerry Z10?  Or are you trying to migrate the data from the BlackBerry Curve 9320 smartphone to your BlackBerry Z10?
I look forward to your reply.

  • N96 sync with PC Outlook Calendar

I have an unlocked, unbranded N96 which has developed a problem when attempting to sync with Outlook Calendar.  I have prevously managed to get it to work using Ovi (at Home) to sync the entries in my calendar, however I also used PC Suite (at Work) to do the same thing on another PC, which worked fine.
The problem started when I attempted to re-sync my calendar entries at home again, I installed PC Suite as it seemed easier to use.  Now many of my entries are duplicated and some have dissappeared..
...Basically Help!  Anyone who has had touble with this, or anyone who can suggest what action to take would be greatly appreciated.

Hi I'd like to join in this discussion please - strangely it sounds exactly like what's happening to me at the moment
I did make a backup the other day luckily, on my work PC (assuming I can find where I saved it of course ), but a) I'd forgotten about it, duh b) I'd still like to know what's gone wrong...
I started off with Ovi on a laptop (out of date info) at home - sync worked fine.  Then used PC suite at work - again, worked fine and phone had all up to date info on it.  Then I installed PC suite at home so they both matched - fine, except when I sync'd I forgot to give the phone data priority so I ended up with old info again.  Silly me.  Back to work and told the PC to update the phone with calendar entries again (phew, nearly there I thought).  But it wouldn't.  It recognises the phone but doesn't update the entries.  Getting warnings - one was about loss of profile, but said you could only restore these on Communicators and one other - not mine anyway.  Latest one just says 'Microsoft Outlook'.  Very helpful eh?  So I reinstalled PC suite and switched my phone off and on again (technical approach you know, usually works if you include the odd swear word).  But it's still not updating the calendar entries. I think I've killed it

  • Cannot sync outlook calendars-contacts

    Hello,
I am having problems syncronizing calendar, contacts and to-do notes.
I am using PC Suite latest version (6.83.14.1) on a Win XP SP 2 with a Nokia N73. During the setup process of the synchronization, the program will not let me select outlook's folders. I have checked but microsoft outlook (2007 version) seems to be working fine.
To be honest I had tried before but I have never been able to sync the contacts, even when I only had the windows mail contacts.
I have tried what is being suggested in the forum, but it seems there is no way out and I need to update contacts and calendar on my phone-computer.

In the end for me the solution was in the mapi32.dll .
Eudora had changed it and the communication btw outlook and pc suite was not happening at all.
As Ed of http://www.bloged.co.uk/ suggested, I went to c:\Windows\system32\ and renamed the existing mapi32.dll to mapi32.old .
Then i ran fixmapi in the same folder, rebooted and made sure the new mapi32.dll was something written by Microsoft.

If you use Mozilla Thunderbird for reading emails, and Outlook for managing your contacts, notes and diary, there is a high probability that PC Suite synchronisation was broken because Microsoft's MAPI library (MAPI32.DLL) was replaced with one from Mozilla.

  • Mail for Exchange – Outlook calendar not 100% comp...

I’m using MfE 2.09.158 on my E71, and everything works fine except for a small issue/annoyance. If I add a memo on my phone’s calendar, it will appear as a meeting from 0.00 to 23.59 in my outlook calendar. On the other hand, if I add a full day entry in Outlook, it will appear as a 0.00 to 23.59 meeting on my phone. The annoying thing about this is that a full day (or multi day event) will not show up on the start screen of the phone, but a memo will. (Current meetings are not shown on the phone’s start screen; only in the calendar itself.)I’ve just started to use MfE, and earlier I used PC Suite to sync between Outlook and my phone. A full day (or multi day) entry on Outlook would appear as a memo in my phone’s calendar.
I know that there are more serious issues with MfE, but I hope that the MfE team can keep this in mind for future fixes.
    Cheers,
    M

And to reply to my own thread…
I just tested RoadSync, and RoadSync does exactly what I’m asking for here. Full day appointments in Outlook shows up as memos on my phone, etc. I guess I can buy RoadSync, which seems to be working better, but I’m cheap and I don’t want to pay $50 for something I can get for free with MfE.

  • Synchronise TWO different Outlook calendars

    Hello,
I'm about to buy a N70 or N73 but I woud like to know somethnig before :
I created a second calendar on Outlook 2003 for my personal meetings. Is it possible to synchronise the 2 calendars (the main and my personal) at once, and have all the meetings (from my 2 Outlook calendars) in the same calendar of the mobile ? (murge of the 2 outlook calendars).
I've found a post below (from jagardiner
    - 06-Mar-2006), which said that it used to work with an older version of PC Suite. Is it working again now ?
    Thanks for your help !

With my 9210i and an old version of pc suite I could synchronize two 'accounts' at once: my personal Outlook calendar and contacts AND my work calendar and contacts. Now I have a 9300i and PC Suite 6.70.22 it will only let me synchronize one 'account'. I've looked everywhere for help on this - sorry if I've missed something easy.

    Hi,
I think that you can sync two different outlook calendars to phone. But you need to change that (source) outlook calendar manually (->very easy to change).
And use option "Update Microsoft Outlook data to the mobile phone" (then your outlook calendars are ok)

  • OVI Sync and Multiple Outlook Calendars

I have two MS Outlook calendars at work - one is for professional engagements the other is for private stuff.
In the Nokia PC Suite I was prompted to select which of these would be sync'd to my phone but I can't find how to do this in OVI suite and by default it's syncing to the wrong one (the one on the work server, as opposed to my local calendar)
Can anyone shed any light on how to specify which Outlook calender my phone will sync to?
I'd like to start using the OVI suite - mainly just to remain 'current' - but the calendar sync is a deal-breaker!
    Thanks all!
    Ian

As a variant to Ian's question below, I actually want to sync multiple calendars from my Outlook onto my E71.
On my Outlook, I have my calendar and I also subscribe to an internet calendar, which show up nicely layered in different colors on my Outlook calendar page.
On the PC Suite sync setup page I see the 2 calendars from my Outlook but it limits me to selecting ONLY ONE of the calendars for syncing. I would like to be able to select both.
Any ideas out there? It feels like I'm just missing a step, since I can see the calendar choices.

  • N80 syncs with PC Suite, but PC Suite won't sync w...

I'd been synchronising my previous 6630 with Outlook 2003 using PC Suite for a year with no problems whatsoever. I got my N80 a couple of weeks ago, and for the first week or so, it seemed to synchronize fine.
Then in the past few days, I've noticed that PC Suite hasn't been synchronising when the phone comes into range; nor does it work when I choose "Synchronise" from the green/blue system tray icon...
...HOWEVER -- and this is the confusing thing -- If I use the "Sync" option from the N80 menu, the PC Suite dialog pops up, does its stuff, and all my data is synchronised! The N80 will synchronise with PC Suite, but PC Suite won't synchronise with the N80...?!?!?
I don't get the same response from the PC Suite software every time I try to synchronise -- I get 1 of 2 responses:
    1) The sync dialog box tells me "1 warning reported"; when I "view last report", the warning says "The mobile phone has not responded. PC Sync has encountered a problem and has terminated the synchronisation."
    2) The sync dialog box first says "Connecting to N80...", which flashes for several minutes with nothing happening; then after a while it switches to "Waiting for the mobile phone to send data...", which continues to flash until I cancel, with no data transferred whatsoever.
    I have tried:
    - re-discovering the phone
    - disabling/re-enabling Bluetooth
    - uninstalling PC Suite completely and re-installing
    - re-downloading the latest version from the Nokia site
    - switching the phone off and on again
    - removing the phone battery for over a minute
    PC Suite version: 6.80.22
OS version: Windows XP SP2 with all latest patches
    N80 firmware version: 3.0614.0.3

OK, this is infuriating. I've just got back in, and it's working now. After days of not working, there you go.
    This always happens to me...
    Sorry to bother you all...

  • How can I sync my work outlook calendar to a separate 'work' ICloud calendar?

    Hello everyone,
I have been trying to work out how to keep my 'work' calendar separate to my 'family' calendar. I have an Outlook calendar at work, and would really like to have it shown in my iCloud as a work calendar, and keep it separate from my family calendar, cause I don't want everyone at work to see what my family plans are at the weekend
The problem is that if I sync my Outlook calendar at work using iTunes, it will sync it to my main iCloud calendar where all my family entries are, and this will 'publish' all my private calendar entries at work....
Anyone managed to set this up so that they can be synced separately. This would be really cool.
    Thanks,
    Aaron.

  • DM 4.6 will not sync with Outlook Calendar

Using Windows XP SP3, Outlook 2003, BB Pearl 8130.  Used DM 4.3 for nearly a year without issue.  Just upgraded to DM 4.6.  During sync, DM will read addresses, tasks, and memos, and appears to read the calendar from the device, but when it gets to reading the Outlook Calendar, I get "program has encountered an error and must shut down".  I uninstalled 4.6, tried 4.5, then back to 4.3 but exact same issue with each version now.  I can change the settings in sync to skip sync of calendar and all is well.  But as soon as I check calendar in settings, same issue.  I have uninstalled and re-installed several times.  I even wiped the device (typical answer from Verizon).  USB cable is on back of laptop, not hub.  Any advice?

yes, there is a speed gap between 4.3 (fast) and 4.5/4.6 (slow).
