N80 wifi/wlan problem since f/w upgrade

I am trying to connect a N80 firware v4.0623.0.42 (20-09-2006 RM-92 Nokia N80 33.01) to a WLAN but can't even scan for available WLANs - it just responds no availalable WLAN networks.
I installed the Nokia WLAN wiz and "no WLAN found".
I have since removed all router security so its an unsecured, public, unfiltered home wireless lan using a linksys router. A PSP connects fine, as does a laptop but the n80 refuses to find any access points. I have created IAP searched for the WLAN and it finds nothing, I then specify the SSID - still nothing. Change to static IPs - nothing. use the Nokia WLAN wiz to scan ... you guessed it nothing.
When I try to creat a new IAP the phone hangs with "application busy"...I press the red button and can edit the IAP settings.
Any ideas?

I won't say that it's a proof for the iOS 6 WiFi/WLAN problem. BUT, it's evident that my iPhone 4 with iOS 5 sees all WLAN-networks and connects - my new iPad with iOS 6 doesn't! Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

I am facing the problems to connect to Wifi Public Networks since I have upgraded my IPAD 2 to IOS 6.

For the fist time I relly need help folks!!
There is no way to make my Ipad 2 to connect to public wifi Networks!
It seems there is something really wrong with IOS 6!!
This is really a big issue because tablets are really made to facilitate mobile access !
After doing everything that was possible to do, I believe the problems is with IOS 6 that need to be fixed very fast by Apple.

A month of problems since exchange ADSL2+ upgrade

Hi
Long story short:
At the start of the month my exchange, Newcastle (NINE), was upgraded to 21CN. As a result my connection speed was upped from 8mb to 20mb. When on the 8mb speed I had NO ISSUES WHATSOEVER with speed or reliability of connection.
However, since the exchange upgrade it has been totally awful. Disconnects, ridiculously low speeds at varying times of day with no logical pattern and HH3 automatically restarting. I have been in touch with BT Care who are "monitoring" the situation, but I have reached my wits end now after a month of this.
On their instruction have carried out all tests etc, have had 2 different engineer visits who confirm the line is good, pointing to an exchange problem. One engineer interestngly stated off the record that BT are fully aware of this and it is an exchange wide problem with 21CN implementation.
Anyway any help or advice on this would be greatly appreciated. HH3 status below:

welcom to the forum
looking at your stats you have a very high number or errors particularly crc and hec for only 1+ day connection.
are you connected directly to the master or test socket or have you a filtered faceplate. do you have other sockets in your home
have you tried quiet line test dial 17070 option 2 should hear nothing and best with corded phone if cordless dull hum is normal

I have Ideapad U165 ( recently got one as Gift )
when i try to use Wifi , i cant see any Wlan adaptor in the network list , i just have Lan/ethernet & Bluetooth !!
and when i check the device manager , i cant find any unknown device ! So it looks that my laptop dont have Wifi/Wlan ?!!
is it possible ?

Wifi & Battery Problem since upgrading to ios 8.0.2

me upgraded my iPhone 5s to iOS 8.0.2 but I have a problem about Wifi and Battery !!! my wifi disconnect every 1 minute and when i turn it Off then On it will work for 1 minute and will disconnect again and i have to turn it Off then On again ! Iphone ios 6.1.3 wifi bluetooth problem since update

Hi,
It seems that Apple has a problem with the Iphone 4s IOS update 6.1.3.
Since i updated my Wifi and Bluetooth on my phone have fallen over / failed.
wifi is unable to be switched from off to on (greyed out)
Bluetooth will not turnon either just icon circling around.
After looking at some of the meesages on he it would seem that the update has damage the phone???
I have backed up, removed all settings, restored the phone but no joy.
I will try putting the phone in the freezer, yes this has been suggested as a fix.
Failing that i will have to return the Phone the Vodafone /Apple for them to sort.
Not very happy at all.

Same problem. I've tried the apple support site recommendations... reset network settings etc. No result. The problem is that there is no place to enter the needed pin code any more. The dialog box needed for that is completely absent. And on top of that if you actually want to communicate with a tech support person (for a problem caused by Apple programming to begin with) you will actually have to pay for said support first. I have to say that Apple is feeling more like Microsoft all the time. A company I avoid like the plague because of experiences like this that I have had to suffer over and over again. To bad. Apple was a really great company. A really great movement in the tech world at one time. No more though. Time to quit beating a dead horse with a stick and switch to Samsung I guess. That means getting rid of all my apple laptops and desktops too I guess. What a bummer!

Ipod charging problem since Snow Leopard upgrade..

Hi,
I usually charge my ipod through the keyboard usb port on my aluminium imac, but since i upgraded to Snow Leopard the ipod is now flattened ??
The ipod shows the charging ipod and functions correctly in itunes, its just flat if left connected overnight..
Anyone else having this problem ?

Those keyboards are notoriously underpowered. Does it charge correctly if you plug it directly into the Mac?
Is the machine set to sleep?

Mouse/keyboard problems since a bios upgrade

A week or 2 ago, HP upgraded my bios (Compaq CQ60-420US). Since then, whenever I am entering text in a dialog box in my browser (Firefox, newly updated to 3.6 and no, I Will NOT use Internet Exploder)
In addition, the num lock key keeps disengaging, and the switch to disable the touch pad keeps turning itself on.
I have replaced the mouse, but the problem persists.
Is anybody else having similar difficulty, and if not, is it possible to go back to the old bios version?

Turning off and back on or hard reset seems to work for a day or two. After resetting I am occasionally losing messages that were there before reset. In addition, I have had 3 messages that I received a notification for when they came in but go into messages and not there. Message incon still shows 3 unread messages but when I open messages I have no unread messages??? Power on-off or hard reset does not seem to fix this. At least a reset gets imessages working again. Hope fix is out soon. This is a PIA.

In line remote problem since iOS 4 Upgrade

I like to use the in line remote on my ear buds. Before iOS 4 i was able to back out of the music or podcast i was listening to and then turn on just the audio through the in line remote. SO if i was watching a video podcast i could go out of it and into a game and then start up just the audio of the podcast.
Since iOS 4 this feature has been acting up. I will back out to the home page then hit the play button on the in line remote and the music or podcast that was playing before the last track i was listening to or even the one before that will play.
I have gown from a video podcast back to the main screen, hit the play button on the in line remote and the music i was listening to the night before will start to play. So i have to go back into audio. as soon as i back out of the song or podcast that was wrongly playing it goes right to what i was wanting to listen to. I can then go to the home page again and hit the play button and everything is fine.

Ok, I have the fix!! After several frustrating days it finally just works.
The process:
Upgrade your Macs to 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
Powercycle your modem AND time capsule / airport TWICE
Reset your time capsule with a pin or paperclip on the back
Follow the prompts to setup your time capsule / airport access
-- On your Macs
Go to System Preferences > Network > Airport > Advanced > TCP/IP
Click "Renew DHCP Lease" then click "Ok"
Click Apply
Turn off Airport
Turn Airport on
IT WORKS!!!
One of the magical people at tech support walked me through it earlier today. The whole process took about 1.5 hrs because Show Leopard takes about an hour to install on one machine.

try resetting. settings, general, reset. I would try reset network settings first. if not successful then try reset all settings.
I'm using a IPhone 5 and like it very much since Sprint has been updating their network. The upgrade made a big difference even in the battery life.
