N81 8gb:should i buy

Since it has no memory card option and i read at forums about lots of problem being solved by removing the memory card, so should this buying be avoided?

the key word here is "for the price range" . ok words not word
check the specifications of the phone and compare it to what you really need in a phone, if it fits , go ahead, other wise do not follow the crowd.
a good descussion about comparing several phones went on here :/discussions/board/message?board.id=smartphones&message.id=64816
i personally agree with psychomania on what he said in that discussion, so check it out.

No need to type in all caps - we HEAR you!
I would take a look at the internal drives offered by both Crucial (click the link "Internal Hard Drives Now Available") and OWC. I would stay away from Western Digital drives as they seem to have problems on a number of Mac models.
You can also shop for RAM at Crucial and OWC - just select the System Scanner tab at the Crucial website to find out which memory is right for your machine.
    Good luck,

  • N81 8GB versus N91 4GB

    Hello everyone.
Can you tell me if it will be a wise move to buy a N81 8GB after spending almost 2 years with N91 ? My only real problem with N91 is how slow it is sometimes loading songs or pictures etc.
    Is N81 worth?
I see in the forum that there are problems with its memory etc? What do those who have one think? Would they buy it again?
I know it is a big difference from S60 to S40 but why not a 5610 with 4GB card?
    Thanks for the help.

S40 is ok IF you don't mind loosing the ability to install new apps. to your device. Also if you are OK with not playing high quality videos.
N81 is an OK phone and is coming down in price nicely. If you were ok using the N91, the N81 should be an improvement.
The N96 is right around the corner, so you may want to wait until that comes out to decide if you get the N96. The N96 is supposed to have very good audio quality, and 16 GB plus the option of a memory card! for a total of 24 GB storage out of the box!.
640K Should be enough for everybody

  • Should I buy a new MBPr 15 or stay on iMac 2011?

The thing  is, that I am not really sure, should I buy this machine or not, because actually I am a film-maker and currently I have an iMac (2011), and looks like I will work in the field in the future. So I am considering of buying a base MacBook Pro Retina 15, which is with i7 2.7GHz, 16GB of memory, 512 flash storage + Intel HD Graphics 4000 and NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M with 1GB of GDDR5.
And here is my iMac tech specs: i7 3.4GHz, 8GB of memory, 1TB 7200rpm hard drive + AMD Radeon HD 6970M with 1024Mb.
Also, I am going do a lot of pretty heavy video-editing (Premiere, After Effects) on the notebook, because I am going to sell my iMac. Well, if buying the Macbook makes sense.
So the question is, will it make a big difference in speed of rendrering, overall quality of work progress, and editing itself. Also, I am interested in Photoshop, if you, guys, worked in photoshop (photographers or web-designers) on this machine please leave a reply about how it goes there, I mean, is there any lags or retina-display problems, because I am also planning to work in all of Adobe Software.
Also, sorry for my english, this is not my native language, and sorry if this topic is not in the right place. Peace!

You will find that the relative performance of the two units will be very similar.  see the attached bench test scores:
    http://browser.primatelabs.com/mac-benchmarks
Note that with the retina, your storage will be significantly less. Whether the resolution of the retina is worth the premium you have to decide.
Though I an not an Adobe user, I would think that the retina with SSD as well as 16 GB RAM should handle those applications without any difficulty.
    Ciao.

  • Should I buy an ipod 5g?

Should I buy an ipod 5g if i already have an 8GB Iphone 4, ipad mini, and an ipad air? Or should I wait for the ipod 6g? However i am very interested in the ipod portability, since it is very light and thin but still durable. Or maybe i shouldnt bother having ti devices with me all the time.

IMO, I would skip the iPod and upgrade your iPhone 4 to an iPhone 5s. With carrier subsidized pricing, it is the same price as an iPod Touch 5g.

  • T410 2518-EQG with broken LCD. What model of LCD should I buy?

Hello. I have broken my 1280x800 LCD on T410 2518-EQG and want to buy new via eBay. There are 2 pairs of models: 42T0729 (1280x800) (1, 2) and 42T0431 (1440x900) (1, 2). Will 1440x900 model work on my laptop? Which of 2 items should I buy?
    Sorry for my English.
    Thanks.

    Hello mate,
I'm not sur the WXGA+ will work as the good part foryour model is 42T0729. Lenovo put a whitelist in the machine which generate an error if the part don't have the good FRU.
The only way to go around that is hacking the BIOS whic allow you to put any spare part you want but it will void your warranty.

I am really dissapointed with the efficiency of Nokia and I have been a Nokia User since year 2001 (Nokia 3310) and I have bought more than 20 different model. I hope Nokia should take my request into consideration and release it quickly for the APAC region as EURO had their firmware upgraded already. My phone product code is 0554833.

  • Recommendations for the best i7 L3 8GB Laptop to buy?

Can someone tell me what the best Laptop to buy with the following specifications:
    i7 L3 8GB (or more)
I need something that will last for five years, and run Dragon.
    Thanks!

Thank you for your quick reply. The "Knowbrainer website" has the following laptop recommendation for the best performance of the Dragon Naturally Speaking program. I looked through the Best Buy options--there are quite a few that offer what is recommended below. So which of the Best Buy options (that meet the specs below) should I buy? The specs, according to "Knowbrainer" are:
    1. Core™ i7 Ivy Bridge with four cores and hyperthreading (eight threads). In other words, go with the highest Core™ i7 Ivy Bridge you can find as far as speed, number of cores, L3 cache, etc.
    2. Look for at least 8 GB of RAM and preferably 16 GB of RAM. The reason for this is that there are going to be a lot of changes to the size and number of 64-bit applications over the next few years. 8 GB might do you just fine right now, but if you're going to go for five years with this laptop, then you're better off going with 16 GB of RAM looking down the road.
it's the processor, the amount of L3 cache and the RAM that form the core.
The bottom line: take into consideration that the computer needs to run both Windows 8 and DNS 12, and looking down the road to possibly DNS 13. Also, keep in mind that it's a given that whatever you're going to purchase now is going to be out of date inside of nine months. You just can't win at the rate that technology is advancing. Also, sometime next year Intel is going to introduce a whole new set of processors for both desktops and laptops that will raise the bar on performance. It's the game we play with hardware and Dragon.
    Thanks!

  • N81 8GB can there be another memory card working w...

....................................................i wanna know becuz i wanna buy a n81 8GB and thinking of putting another memory card? Is the 8GB hard drive or a memory card. And is there any Wi-Fi?And is the screen bigger than N72? And one of my friends is saying that there is a problem with the buttons(the numbers) like they are messed up and when he puts it in his pocket the button get pressed.
    Nokia N72

the 8gig is internal memory (hard drive) and you don't have a slot for another memory card...only the new n96 has that accessibilty and it has 16 gig internal hard drive...the screen is quite big...and the keys are not a problem 4 me....

    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

Before you try to replace the CPU fan, you really need to determine the source. You can turn off the computer. Then you can open the case, and lay the cabinet on its side. That will give you an open area to look down into.
    1) Visually inspect. Clean any dust globs on the blades. Using a can of compress air (never shake the can), blow away the dust bunnies.
    2) You said you'd go to a shop to replace the fan if needed.
    3) The CPU fan has to be measured. You'd have to shop the size and RPM/PWM specs. I have no source for a given CPU fan number.

  • Why Should I Buy A Macbook?

Hi i have always wanted an Apple Mac-book i don't know why and i don't know which one to get. Any Ideas.I have viasted the Apple store and i the very helpful staff suggested i buy a Mac-book Air ( Is this the right choice) I am asking you Apple helpers and experts to help as i have no idea were to start although i do now what i would want to use it for.
Film-making and DVD watching ( Although the Mac-book air comes with no disc drive but a add for £65 is it worth it)
Photo Editing and Viewing ( 13 inch is the only air model to come with a SD slot)
General ( Word,Excel and the everyday things )
    Music and iTunes and traveling
With all that in mind what memory should i buy as a 13 inch with 256 GB is £999 not including the accessorizes and the DVD player plugin
Thank you in advance to anyone who answers my questions

One of the first things you mentioned is movie creation and watching DVD's.
You might consider purchasing the older but still available mid 2012 13.3" MacBook Pro model 9,2 that includes both built-in DVD and an SD card slot.
The benefits are that you would not need to carry a separate DVD drive, and the 9,2 is one of the few remaining Mac computers still designed to permit the end user to open the computer and self-install higher capacity RAM and replace the internal hard disk or SSD drive with a higher capacity model in the future.
The penalties are that model 9,2 weighs substantially more (about 4.5 pounds/2.0kg, versus 3.5 pounds/1.6kg for the MacBook Pro with Retina Display, and 3 pounds/1.4kg for the MacBook Air), has shorter battery life, lower resolution 13.3" 1280x800 screen, slower WiFi ('802.11n') and has less peak processor performance. If you are a student and carrying it around daily in a backpack, the shorter battery life and extra weight probably negate any benefit of a built-in DVD drive. If the computer will 'live' primarily on a desktop, then extra weight and shorter battery life are probably not a concern.
If you select a MacBook Air or Retina MacBook Pro, I'd purchase it with at least 8GB RAM installed, not 4GB.
RAM in these two models is soldered in at the factory and simply not designed to be upgraded, ever. In my opinion, 4GB is not enough to ensure that future OS X upgrades will run well.
I'd select a minimum internal storage drive of 256GB. SSD is preferable for a computer that will be transported frequently, although my son carried a mid-2009 MacBook Pro with a 500GB internal hard drive through 4 years of college without incident.
I'd also immediately plan to purchase a 500GB or 1TB or larger USB-attached portable external hard drive to hold music, photos, and movies. I'd also suggest purchasing a 2TB or larger external USB or Thunderbolt-attached desktop hard drive exclusively for Time Machine backups.  Yes, those two items add to the total cost, but both are fairly essential to the long-term use and enjoyment of your system. By keeping music, photo, and movie libraries on an external drive, you needn't pay a premium price for the huge amount of internal storage that those collections will eventually grow to fill. And the price of external drives keeps dropping, so when you DO fill one, you can purchase a larger one and transfer your existing libraries.
Apple sells refurbished MacBook Pros (and most other recent Apple devices) that are identical to brand new products, have the same 1-year full AppleCare warranty, and are typically priced at savings from 5% to 15% or greater, directly from the Apple website.
Although no MacBook Pro 9,2 models are currently listed, the UK link to the Apple Refurbished models is:
