N81 SD Version WLAN Issue

Hi , not sure if anybody faced this issue, I've this problem with my phone when I powerup the phone and comes to the main screen , the WLAN app will activate to show me a list of WLAN networks even though I have not activated the WLAN search mode. This goes on for 2~3 times each time I power up my phone even though I upgraded my phone from 10.XX to the latest 11.0.045.
Can Nokia pls advice on what is causing this problem?

No phone service after a new iTunes version is issued

I tried to use my phone yesterday and the call didn't go through. When I connected to my computer I saw that a new iTunes version (9.0.2.25) had been issued, and when I synched with iTunes it restored my connectivity. The same thing happened the previous time a new version was issued. There was no message on the phone saying it needed to connect to iTunes. I rely on the phone for continuous service in case of emergency, and don't sync it every day. If I were out of town I would be out of luck. Does Apple (or AT&T) de-activate the service each time a new version is issued, and rely on customers to re-sync when their phone goes dead?

I have not experienced the same - not with any iTunes update when released.

IOS6 fixed my WLAN issues!

Hi all!
I just had to share this with you all. Since the release of iPhone 3 I have had WLAN issues (at work, at home, anywhere) resulting in WLAN getting disconnected from time to time. Recently with iOS5 on my iPhone 4 I had to manually connect to the WLAN each time I used my phone. Irritating to say the least!
But since the iOS6 upgrade the WLAN connects itself in about 5 seconds from that I wake the iPhone from "sleep".
I might just stick with the iPhone 4 and not get a 5:er since I´m finally really happy with my phone!

I dont think it works correctly GSPEARSON as changing my BTID password had no effect on my email password. The BTID password was changed on numerous occasions during trouble shooting with no effect. The only way to actually change my email password I found was using the password change feature under manage emails after switching my default email address to another. This password change feature is not available to the default email account only other owned addresses.
BT's system isn't clear or coherent in my view. It is also misleading that you can have say a password X for your BT ID and a password Y for your default email address and can access it through either (login through btID then click emails using X or login to btmail.bt.com with Y. I dont like that at all.

N97 mini WLAN-Issues after 12.0.110-Update

Never had issues with WLAN-connection on old fw. Did switch off-on already both, the WLAN-Router and the N97mini. Do not want to make a reset because then i have to re-install everything again......
I can usually connect once, for a short time, for one action. (Like synch Favourites with OVI-Maps). After that no chance any more for several minutes.
When i go to connectivity-wlan it says "no wlan available", even after rescan.
I simply have to wait for half an hour, then i can connect again, for one action.

Same problem here. Just upgraded to the N97 Mini from the E61.
I first noticed it in the pre-installed Podcasting (which I listen to 2+ hours a day). Downloads seem to hang after about 10-15 meg of the download is complete. I then noticed it in Ovi when trying to download a video and it would hang during the download as well.
In Podcasting, I have to keep the connection manager open so I can disconnect the connection, then reconnect again in Podcasting. It is very frustrating as an hour long podcast takes three cycles to complete! Please help us Nokia!
In Ovi - you just can not download large files.
BTW - I have a D-Link Router in case there seems to be some type of compatibility issue? No way to test on another WLAN connection at this point.
This is the only major issue that I have identified so far since owning the phone (unless one counts that the phone is absent an automatic polisher/fingerprint remover).
Patient for now - waited to buy this phone instead of getting an eye-moan. Please fix the WLAN issue.

E71 wlan issue after firware upgrade

I just upgraded by E71 to the latest software version. The upgrade went without any issues. After the upgrade I realised that t had removed all my contacts - so I had to restore my backup(I restored the SETTINGS as well). I was using a app for my 'WiFi' (for prioritizing my access points) and after the firmware upgrade - I could not see this app at all. The following are my issues now:
1. I cannot connect to my home wifi(WEP) - it was fine before the upgrade. The first time it says - 'Connection not available' and every subsequent time it irritates by showing 'WLAN already active. Please close the connection and retry'.
2. I have tried to restore the factory settings and it still does not work.
3. I have renamed my Access point to the ones that the app was using - still no luck.
So, what are my options now? Can somebody please help? I never thought a small software upgrade could spoil my whole evening!

I have just had EXACTLY the same problem.
I have a Nokia E71 and it was working OK before the upgrade. I just used the latest Nokia Updater and latest nokia pc suite to upgrade to 500.21.009.
The upgrade performed perfectly, and after the upgrade I restored my backed up data.
I have the exact symtpoms as psankar. I have factory reset the phone and tried again. Same problem.
Connection not available, and then connection already active. Small Wireless icon appears at top right of screen, and stays there, but there is no active connection in connection manager.
The only way to remove the wifi icon and to get the phone to attempt to reconnect is to power off the phone, but then on reconnectig then you get connection not available and then the whole cycle begins again.

[GX740] WLAN issue

I'm always using an Ethernet cable because I'm next to the router at home. But since school is about to start in a few days, I'm forced to use WLAN at school. So I thought, let's test the WLAN at home. There are 2 other laptop-users at home that make full use of WLAN without any issues or delays, eventhough they're further away from the router than I am.
So here are the steps I took - some out of pre-caution - to connect myself to our WLAN router:
1. Disconnect the Ethernet cable from the laptop.
2. Reboot my laptop.
3. Enable WLAN by ticking the WLAN-antenna-icon on the laptop.
4. After it's enabled it finds 1 Wireless Network.
5. When I click it to connect to our Wireless Network at home, it asks for a password.
6. After entering the password CORRECTLY, it starts to connect.
7. After 5 minutes of trying to connect, it comes up with a message it can't connect.
8. I can try to connect endlessly, but it keeps giving the same (simple) message that it can't connect.
Some factors that can be excluded:
- Distance from the router: I'm next to it, which is about 1 meter. (Other laptops are about 25+ meters away from it)
- Issues with the router: Other laptops connect to it without any problems.
- Wrong password: I even disabled the WLAN's password protection on the router, other laptops connected just fine while I still couldn't.
- Using the latest BIOS version: 1727_10a.zip
Does connecting to a Wireless Network require some service that might be disabled somehow? Here's a list of disabled services on my laptop, sorted on Start-up type:

I think I have to agree with you: This Thompson router indeed is one of the most and crap devices I have ever had in my house, at least the (literally) "KPN Limited Edition" is! As soon as my subscription expires I will switch over to XS4ALL, it may be a little more expensive but from what I've heard it's definitely worth it.
I won't RMA this router since it's like only 3 months old, we got it after a speed upgrade. What is a good thing to search for: 1) Access-Point or 2) Router? Because the only thing I actually need is a point where all laptop users can connect to without issues, so another internal firewall isn't needed at all.
As for KPN, they are terrible when it comes to delivering decent hardware to its customers.. bah!

Although I have not encountered this error in my installation copy - you can try the following:
Take the zip file for NWDS to another machine and install it. If you do get the same error - then the zip file was damanged in the transfer - if not then probably it is an issue with the Microsoft Installer files that you are using. If you are using a legal version of Windows then upgrade to the latest updates and then try again. You can try the same steps after shutting down and restarting your PC.
Most probably the zip file is damaged since the MSI has run successfully.for the CE WAS.

Version management issue

I am two issues with Version Management in PR and POs:
- New version can only be added onces the PR or PO is release by final authority. Below is the scenario:
I have created a PR and have it release by the two approving authorities. Now I want make changes in the PR. I have it cancelled from the both approving authorities and make the required changes. Now logically the system should allow the initiator to add the new version so that requisition so that the approving authrities must know that the second version of requisition is being released. But the system doez not let the initiator add the version prior to release. Do we have any solution to this?
- second issue is that once the second version is added in the PR and we need to make some more changes and create a thrid version, system doznot let user to revoke the release.

This is the prerequisites for the new version to be created. A new version will only be created when the information
had sent to vendor.

I have jdk 1.6 installed on my machine but there are no environment variables for java executables.
Is my problem caused but the java previously installed on the machine? If so, I can remove the jdk and retry installation

SAP NetWeaver 7.02 ABAP Trial Version Installation issues

I have been trying to install 7.02 trial version for a while but I keep running into issues. At present I am stuck, the install has been at the same load for the past 6 hours with no indication of an error or progress. Below is the last part of the program starter output screen and the logs. AD-Exchange Connector versions Incompatibility Issues : Extremely URGENT

We have tested our code in dev environment (AD, Exchange versions 2003). But in production env, the root context for the two are different from those of dev environment.
In dev env: root context are: DC=company,DC=devxyz for ADITResource,Exchange
In prod env: root context are: DC=company,DC=devxyz for ADITResource ; DC=devxyz for Exchange.
Exchange being dependent on AD, when AD is provisioned, Exchange fetches the ObjectGUID of AD User, and searches in parent root context (DC=devxyz) which return some garbage value -50 corresponding to null value. SInce ObjectGUID is not fetched, Exchange cannot be provisioned.
Please give some pointers for this issue. It is very critical at this stage as we cannot do any changes in the existing configurations.

SInce ObjectGUID is not fetched, Exchange cannot be provisioned.If it is facing issue only with objecrGUID then You can write your custom JNDI code to fetch this value and update in some field.

SQL Developer 2.1 version migration issue

Hello Everyone,
Since I was unable to find a similar topic on the forum, I'm posting now the problem I'm facing: I have downloaded release 2.1 for Windows 32 bit (without JDK) and I unzipped it in an empty 'sqldeveloper' folder on a Windows XP machine.
Upon starting it up, there is no migration wizard popping up to allow me to import the existing settings from release 1.2.1 residing in a parallel folder 'sqldeveloper.1.2.1'. If it works, does it import anything more than connections?
I tried to use the tools tab and explore various documentation sources (readme, help, forum, internet search) with no luck so far.
I would guess there is something wrong in my deployment procedure since nobody else has complained of similar issues.
Any hints or suggestions you may want to share would be greatly appreciated.

The original poster mentioned that he was migrating from 1.2.1, a really old version. That version did/does not store user settings under "Application Data", but in "sqldeveloper/system" in its' own installation directory. Unfortunately, SQL Dev. 2.1 will (apparently) not let you import settings from anything prior to 1.5; at least I was not able to do it when I tried just now (I have all of my previous SQL Developer installations still on my hard drive). It looks to me like what he will have to do is first upgrade from 1.2.1 to 1.5.5 (which will allow him to import his old 1.2.1 settings), and then upgrade from 1.5.5 to 2.1.

Zbook wlan issues

I have a brand new Zbook 14 with Windows 7 64 bit OS, where I have two issues.
1) The Wlan is not working in my home. Windows is complaining over no Internet connection.
All my other devices are working at home, so there is definately no issue with my connection.
I can't even surf locally to my router with IP , so its some other issue with WLAN towards my router/access points.
The WLAN in my Zbook is working ok on other accesspoints, like the iPhone internet sharing service etc...
I read about some issues with 5GHz band with Zbook, but haven't found any solutions.
2) Also there is an issue if I enable BIOS setting LAN/WLAN switch to automatically change between LAN and WLAN. If I enable it, Windows will not boot corretly. It gets extremely slow and makes noise from the speaker.
Any suggestions?

Version incompatibility issue with Interop.SAPbobsCOM.dll in SBO 2004

Hi,
I have encountered an incompatibility issue in DI API 2004 across different patch level-versions. Originally, I developed an application in SBO 2004 pl4 environment. Now, some of the customers who were installing the application, notified me that the application has a login problem. It turned out that the CompanyClass.connect() method returns an error message "object reference not set to an instance of an object", when the DI API version installed in the production environment is higher (in this case, pl7) than the DI API version which was used in the development environment.
I figured out that the problem can be fixed by replacing the Interop.SAPbobsCOM.dll file in the application directory by a newer version that reflects the DI API that is installed in the system. However, it seems a rather lousy workaround, if the customer needs to manually replace the dll. Maybe the installer could be customized to "sniff" the correct DI API level, but this too would be a pretty kludgy solution.
Does anyone know a better solution to this problem ?

normally this is not a problem as long as they don't change the signatures on the DI-API (which they said they wouldn't) but it appears in P5 they changed that signature... we noticed some enums that got added and a few minor changes.

Adobe professional version 8 issue

I am in a document that I want to change my font type
and I get the following error message"no avail system fonts
can not add or delete text"
Evidently the font I need is helvecchia condensed font
my version of office is 2003 so I am not sure if it is an
adobe issue or microsoft word problem

Thank you for your advises but I have the impression my initial question is still not being answered.
I have tried to create the fields in Adobe Pro 8 version, via forms, text field tool and named all the fields.
Than I saved it and enabled the usage rights for Adobe Reader but opening this file from another computer in Adobe Reader, it allows me only to add comments and markups in the document, not filling out the form in the form fields I thought I created before?
Now what to do? Did I do something wrong with the creation of form fields, can you please describe the exact path/steps to take?
