N82 Black using Garmin XT - No proximity alerts - ...

Hi,
I have the N82 black with Garmin XT installed.
The maps for my country are detailed (unlike Nokia Maps), and the GPS works fine apart from not making any alert sound for proximity to POI's which I've installed.
I have tried everything possible (www.POI-factory.com), including changing CSV files to GPX/Mp3 to WAV (44100 bit), and even using the default alert setting - nothing!
The POI's display with no problem, as do my BMP pictures, all in the right location.
I am at the end of my tether now after spending several weeks trying to get the solution.
This is very important, as where I'm located, there are dead-end tracks, jungle (YES Jungle!) and rivers and lakes appear from nowhere, so correct turns could mean the difference between life and death - literally!
If anyone has got the Proximity alerts working on a N82 black, using Garmin XT, I would be very interested and grateful if they could take me through how they achieved it!
I have posted this request all over different GPS - POI sites, but no-one seems familiar with either the phone or the Garmin Mobile XT program.
The version I'm using is ****.60.

Have you tried contacting garmin support?
It's clearly an issue with the program, not the phone.

N82 Black Blurry Pictures

I just bought my self a Nokia N82 Black.
I bought mostly because of its camera.
But im very disapointed. If i use the Auto settings and just try to snap a shot the picture get blurry, looks worse then on my 3 year old phone.

hmmm.
open the camera lens and give it a shake not veery hard. it could be that ur lens got stuck or something. if it dont work jsut send it to Nokia Care Centre and they fix it n if they cant they probably give u new n82 black.

We are trying to determine why alert boxes are not modal
The fix states it's for Firefox 2.0 - 3.7a1pre
We are using 3.0.6 not the current version of 3.6.13.

Print All Colors As Black Using VB Script on CS3

Is there a way to set all colors as black using a script? I have found the TextAsBlack option, but I also need it to work with images on the page. I have not figured out how to set the ink alias within a script (have not been able to find any information on how to so) and the print presets do not seem to include the ink alias setting. Below is what I have so far.

I have no clue about the specific params, but from a conceptual point of view you will want to print to a grayscale destination profile (then everything else will simply fall into place).

try Action wizard in Acrobat and set below script to execute however you are watching a folder for PDF files.

Sounds to me that there is a process stuck and that is what is causing your battery issues. You say that you have restored to factory settings twice in the last 6 weeks. Were those restores from a backup, or a restore as new? If you restored to a backup and the issues are still there, then there is something wrong in your backup. Try restoring the device as new and not add anything to it right away and see if that improves the battery life.
I have a 5S with a push account for work and am dealing with email constantly during the day. I use my phone for upwards of 16-18 hours of the day, including web browsing, iMessages and phone calls. My battery is usually around 65-70 percent at the end of the day, which is only about 2-3% per hour of usage.
The echo deal is a carrier issue, and can depend on towers. I've seen it in the past, but it generally doesn't last long and corrects itself. The voicemail password might require you to contact AT&T to get them to reset your password. If you updated the software on the phone, it can sometimes require that reset. Are you still receiving your voicemail?
The Yahoo thing is Yahoo. I'm certainly glad I don't use if for all the stuff I've read.

Hi mate. I'm afraid I haven't got a solution, but just wanted to say that I am having the exact same problem in my Lexus. I have an iPhone 5 which was paired and working perfectly while running iOS 6 and then iOS 6.0.1. But I was having all sorts of wifi problems (this is my second iPhone 5 as Apple replaced the first one but I've still got the same wifi issues!) so I had hoped 6.0.2 would fix these bugs. But - as you've found too - it's broken by Bluetooth connection to my car!
I too had tried the same things as you : deleting the profiles etc. but it just won't pair!
If anyone has a solution please help!!

My N82 Maps show just a black background after installing latest maps for Middle east with new map loader. I am using Maps Version 2.0 Any help?

I just spent 1 1/2 hours on the phone with HP Tech Support but it was worth it. They are sending a replacement printer no charge to me (expect I chose to pay extra for next day shipping). Even though my printer is out of warranty!!! I normally buy HP products anyway but will definintely stay with this brand based on their excellent customer service and support. After reading your post, it sounds like you are experiencing an error when using an app. You may want to consider restarting the device first, and then resetting if that does not work. This article provides detailed instructions for Restarting, and Reseting:
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
How to restart
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.
How to reset
You should reset your device as a last resort and only if you can't restart it.
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

No nokia phone can be used as a wi-fi adaptor for a PC.
The phone can act as a wi-fi access point but your PC will need to have wireless for this.
What you need to buy for your PC is a USB wi-fi adaptor. They don't cost much at all now (less than £10 in the UK). This will allow it to connect to wi-fi routers.

Why does screen go black using brush tool?

When the brush tool is activated (using a personal watermark) and I move around the screen, particularly outside of the photo area workspace, the screen goes black for 2 seconds and then comes back on whether or not I move back into the photo. Haven't noticed it happening in any other tools except the brush. I'm using Elements 12 and Windows 8.1. Thanks for the help.

Choose a different screen saver, or a different source for the images.
