N82 Camera Fw 30

Hi everybody my N82's camera wont work anymore after software update from v20 to v30 if i open the shutter nothing happens if i go to camera in the menu the little camera opens what is this a software bug? i tried to reinstal the update but nothing still the same problem is this common and what can i do about it soft reset, hard reset or take it to nokia care center.. a little advice is appriciated thx anyway

It's not a common bug in this version but you will need to reset your phone to get it to work again. Because of UDP reinstalling the firmware won't cure this issue.
Back up everything you need to keep then try the codes in order. If the first code fails to fix it then try the second then third.
Reset to factory defaults (*#7780#) : Restores settings but preserves user data (photos, 3rd party apps etc)
Reset (*#7370#) : This reformats completely the C: drive. All applications and files stored on this drive will be lost and clean default files will be rewritten.
Hard reset:
1. Switch off the phone.
2. Hold down the following three buttons: Green (the call answer button), * button, and '3' button.
3. While holding these buttons, hold the power button for a second to switch on the phone.
4. Release when the phone shows the nokia hands logo or shows other signs of life like the language selection screen.
It may take a few attempts and very flexible fingers.
If that fails to solve it then something has gone wrong with the camera so take it to a nokia care point.

N82 Camera won't work

Hello, I've had my N82 for about 6 months, Every time I try to turn on the camera the symbol that shows the flash is charging comes up but the camera never comes up. All I see is a black screen. Could it be the battery? I got this from Dubai and I live in the United States. Please help! I have the most recent firmware. And my battery is full.

check your battery via nokia energy profiler.if its work fine.
you should reset your phone:
1.backup your phone
2.press and hold these three keys(call,3,*)
3.press power key while holding three keys.
4.nokia logo or whatever shows phone living(like time setting) is shown.
5.release keys.
-your problem should be solved

N82 camera release button not working

Hi,
It seems that the camera release button on my N82 has stopped working. When I press it nothing happens - netiher halv-way or at full pressure. Hence the camera doesn't focus either.
*#0000# gives me:
V 31.0.016
09-12-08
RM-313
nokia N82 (03.01)
What can I do?
Assign another key to be the the camera release button?
Will resetting the phone work?
Any other suggestions?

Got it... but then I lost even more.
The reason why the camera release button wasn't working was because my SDHC had become corrupted. Long story short I got it formatted using the panasonic SD card formatter... and runs a could of checks to ensure it's healthy....
Then I took it to my Nokia phone to format it but here it FAILS!
SInce then the card seems toast. It's not recognized by my phone(s) - it's not recognized by my PC. Not in XP nor in Ubuntu....
Sad!

N82 Camera Fault Please Help...

Dears:
I recently bought N82 Middle East version, from I2 dealer in Jordan with 2 years guarantee.
I noticed a severe victory fault in the camera.
A huge amount of green and pink noise filled the LCD and appeared in the token films and photos too.
Some times this noise disappear or decrease after a while of using camera.
Now I’m in Syria and I asked I2 dealer to replace my mobile with a new one if it was a hardware fault, because I don’t appreciate the idea of repairing my new device. It wont be new any more.
Is this a software or a hardware issue?
Do you have an advance information about this fault?
I would appreciate a quick replay.

N82 Camera won't turn on.

After using the phone for a year now the camera suddenly will not turn non when I hit the switch on the back of the phone. Any idea what can be wrong, or does it need a repair?

I presume when you say 'hit the switch' you mean, open the lens cap using the slider next to it.
As far as I am aware, the slider switch is the only way of starting the camera.
There is a camera listed within the applications but on my N82, this starts up the secondary camera above the screen.
History: Always Nokia since 1994 including Nokia 2140, 7110e, 6150, 6210, 6310i, 6230i, N82
Current: Nokia N8 (Anna - I have no intention of going to Belle) - and delighted with it!

N82 Camera focus problem

Hi,
I have just purchased a N82 and the camera works great in all respects, except for on the landscape setting.
When I set the focus setting to 'Landscape', instead of 'Auto', all the photos I take are blurred and out of focus.
Does this happen to other users?
Does anyone know if this is a software fault, or a hardware problem that I should exchange the phone for?

Switching to landscape should not make the pictures blurred. Get it checked at Nokia care.

N82 camera shutter problem

As the subject states i have a problem of camera shutter. Even if the shutter is off the lights of camera key/gallery/volume-up/down is on. And when the camera application is opened when the shutter is closed the main camera is activated. If i manually open/close the shutter then there is no effect on the camera activation/deactivation.
I resetted my phone, done every sort of thing to reinstate except for the software update but with no success
Anyone here to solve my problem?

can any1 plzz make me tension free about ma nokia n82.i bought it 3 days ago. when i take night shots with xenon flash in the dark then sum white circles r seen in da picture dat has been just taken. is dis a problem in da camera or its absolutely alright.it also needs to b said that when i take piczz in daylight nothin (white circle) is seen lyk dat. plzz let me know..]

N82 Camera & Memory Card Problem

Hello! After two months of careful operation and having the following problem: when you open the shutter of the camera, blinking charging indicator flashes, then a message "unexpected error occurred. Restart the device." Then, the phone does not "see" the memory card (included with delivery). Additional software is not installed. Resetting factory settings did. Memory card in other phones, Nokia tried it - everything is in order. Please define the problem. According to rumors, this is a common problem with this phone. Sin in the xenon flash. With the patience of waiting for a response.

Do a nuclear reset then:
Hold Green button + 3 + *
Turn on the phone
Keep on holding the 3 buttons until the shake hands appear.
Choose your region and that should be done. Your lock code is now should be 12345

N82 camera problem

Look at some picture taken with N82, and on the left side of the picture in th middle of it is not sharp like the other sides of the pictures. I have the v31 version of firmware and I have taken before pictures and all was ok but now is happening this. I have re-installed software and formatted the memory card and deleted all application but nothing change. I bought 3 months ago this phone and I am using it very carefully and I haven't dropped him. Sorry for my wrongs in writing this post. This is happening only when I' use landscape mode. When I take shot in some indoor the picture is better but not at all. Please help me with this problem.

see if there is anything on the lense. also if you have the latest firmware update your data and i suggest you try the *#7370# reformat code and see if it makes any difference.
there is definitely something wrong. try to clean the lense off sometimes small particles can get on and make trouble for us as well as my first suggestion as it could be data corruption issue. let us know how it worked out if it did

N82 camera problem: black image and flashing blitz...

Hello, today my n82 phone crashed with this issue, i reinstalled the firmwire reseted it and the problem wasn't solved, u know if i can resolve the problem myself or i really must go to guaranty?

If you have dropped your N82 this issue is most likely hardware related necessitating a visit to a Nokia Care facility unfortunately.
Happy to have helped forum in a small way with a Support Ratio = 37.0

taking pictures or video or playing java games continuous the set becames hot & it hangs! have to cold it for few min before restart it! do ny1 have solution for this..?? am using latest software version v30...

Godzillas phone actually gets so hot that it actually hangs. See above. That is definitely not good.
Yeah u r right.Thats what he says.But still don't know is it the reason that it hangs from the high temperature or something else.So Nokia care is the best solution as was said.
