Hi.
I have a problem on my n82. When i go to camera ( especially in dark) in the screen appear four blue pixels.Why?

you should send back to shop where you purchased it if its only recently bought, or take it to a nokia care point

N82 "dead pixel" during camera mode only. Please h...

Hi,
when i activate my camera, a "dead pixel" is visible on the top area.
I have done the following checks,
1) Its not a LCD dead pixel because it happens only during cam mode.
2) Its not dust because the pictures taken do not have this.
Hence can someone please advise what is wrong? It bugs me.

I have it too, and it is a dead pixel on the camera CCD chip. You can identify it by following: It's only visible in photo mode, not video. When you zoom in photo mode, it moves on the screen, i.e. stays at the same place in the picture. The reason why it is visible on the screen is probably the interpolation, which makes it appear bigger than it truly is. Also, it's invisible on the resulting photos, as it gets lost in the noise. I have experimented a bit and have managed to only get one photo under very specific circumstances where I could see it on the photo when zooming closely in.

N82 Camera won't work

Hello, I've had my N82 for about 6 months, Every time I try to turn on the camera the symbol that shows the flash is charging comes up but the camera never comes up. All I see is a black screen. Could it be the battery? I got this from Dubai and I live in the United States. Please help! I have the most recent firmware. And my battery is full.

check your battery via nokia energy profiler.if its work fine.
you should reset your phone:
1.backup your phone
2.press and hold these three keys(call,3,*)
3.press power key while holding three keys.
4.nokia logo or whatever shows phone living(like time setting) is shown.
5.release keys.
-your problem should be solved

Hello,
After I updated to ICS, the front facing camera began showing weird pixelation/lines. this did not happen before the update.
I reset my phone to factory settings and the camera till showed the following lines.
any ideas? Verizon, please help!

Yikes! I know how important it is to have a working camera on your device. Thank you for completing the Master Reset on your device. Do you have any third party camera applications downloaded on your device? If so, please remove them. If there are no third party apps and your camera is still not working after the reset, we would need to replace the device. Is your phone still under the warranty?

N82 camera release button not working

Hi,
It seems that the camera release button on my N82 has stopped working. When I press it nothing happens - netiher halv-way or at full pressure. Hence the camera doesn't focus either.
*#0000# gives me:
V 31.0.016
09-12-08
RM-313
nokia N82 (03.01)
What can I do?
Assign another key to be the the camera release button?
Will resetting the phone work?
Any other suggestions?

Got it... but then I lost even more.
The reason why the camera release button wasn't working was because my SDHC had become corrupted. Long story short I got it formatted using the panasonic SD card formatter... and runs a could of checks to ensure it's healthy....
Then I took it to my Nokia phone to format it but here it FAILS!
SInce then the card seems toast. It's not recognized by my phone(s) - it's not recognized by my PC. Not in XP nor in Ubuntu....

N82 Camera Fw 30

Hi everybody my N82's camera wont work anymore after software update from v20 to v30 if i open the shutter nothing happens if i go to camera in the menu the little camera opens what is this a software bug? i tried to reinstal the update but nothing still the same problem is this common and what can i do about it soft reset, hard reset or take it to nokia care center.. a little advice is appriciated thx anyway

It's not a common bug in this version but you will need to reset your phone to get it to work again. Because of UDP reinstalling the firmware won't cure this issue.
Back up everything you need to keep then try the codes in order. If the first code fails to fix it then try the second then third.
Reset to factory defaults (*#7780#) : Restores settings but preserves user data (photos, 3rd party apps etc)
Reset (*#7370#) : This reformats completely the C: drive. All applications and files stored on this drive will be lost and clean default files will be rewritten.
Hard reset:
1. Switch off the phone.
2. Hold down the following three buttons: Green (the call answer button), * button, and '3' button.
3. While holding these buttons, hold the power button for a second to switch on the phone.
4. Release when the phone shows the nokia hands logo or shows other signs of life like the language selection screen.
It may take a few attempts and very flexible fingers.
If that fails to solve it then something has gone wrong with the camera so take it to a nokia care point.

N82 Camera Fault Please Help...

I recently bought N82 Middle East version, from I2 dealer in Jordan with 2 years guarantee.
I noticed a severe victory fault in the camera.
A huge amount of green and pink noise filled the LCD and appeared in the token films and photos too.
Some times this noise disappear or decrease after a while of using camera.
Now I’m in Syria and I asked I2 dealer to replace my mobile with a new one if it was a hardware fault, because I don’t appreciate the idea of repairing my new device. It wont be new any more.
Is this a software or a hardware issue?
Do you have an advance information about this fault?
I would appreciate a quick replay.

N82 Camera won't turn on.

After using the phone for a year now the camera suddenly will not turn non when I hit the switch on the back of the phone. Any idea what can be wrong, or does it need a repair?

I presume when you say 'hit the switch' you mean, open the lens cap using the slider next to it.
As far as I am aware, the slider switch is the only way of starting the camera.
There is a camera listed within the applications but on my N82, this starts up the secondary camera above the screen.
History: Always Nokia since 1994 including Nokia 2140, 7110e, 6150, 6210, 6310i, 6230i, N82
Current: Nokia N8 (Anna - I have no intention of going to Belle) - and delighted with it!

Camera pixel problems Nokia 5310

I have problems with the photos. When i shoot a foto it appears many red and blueish dots on the photos. I tried to clean the camera lins and all that but with no great sucess. Now it hit me, could it be dead pixels in the camera? and is this usual for the 5310 or should i take it to the repair? thanks in advance

It can't be dead pixels, this is something that affects display of images on the screen, not taking the photo in the first place.
Are they actually solid pixels, or blurry dots?
If it is blurry, then it sounds like something I've noticed in several cameraphones with either no flash or an LED flash when used in low light conditions.

N82 Camera focus problem

Hi,
I have just purchased a N82 and the camera works great in all respects, except for on the landscape setting.
When I set the focus setting to 'Landscape', instead of 'Auto', all the photos I take are blurred and out of focus.
Does this happen to other users?
Does anyone know if this is a software fault, or a hardware problem that I should exchange the phone for?

Switching to landscape should not make the pictures blurred. Get it checked at Nokia care.

N82 camera shutter problem

As the subject states i have a problem of camera shutter. Even if the shutter is off the lights of camera key/gallery/volume-up/down is on. And when the camera application is opened when the shutter is closed the main camera is activated. If i manually open/close the shutter then there is no effect on the camera activation/deactivation.
I resetted my phone, done every sort of thing to reinstate except for the software update but with no success
Anyone here to solve my problem?

can any1 plzz make me tension free about ma nokia n82.i bought it 3 days ago. when i take night shots with xenon flash in the dark then sum white circles r seen in da picture dat has been just taken. is dis a problem in da camera or its absolutely alright.it also needs to b said that when i take piczz in daylight nothin (white circle) is seen lyk dat. plzz let me know..]

N82 dead pixels

i have my N82 for about 1year & ahalf, for instance in my contract I've extended my waranty by 1 extra year (waranty = 2years total). for the past few days it started to have dark "dot" then moved to lines of about 1cm long.
Left it @ the Nokia Care centre & these guys are saying that its a missuse for my part whereby I've applied "high pressure" on the screen.
on my opinion its simply dead pixels and they dnt wana replace it for free.
can anyone please advise what can be done??

u r right man!!!!actualy there's a contreversre in Mauritius whereby one of the rep of Nokia implies that most of the phones under warranty or not having issues are primarily due to "oxidation" !!!!!Mauritius being a tropical island... for instance i took pics of my phone the day being submitted to reparation...(unfortunately i used a 5800 xpress music) front facia is kinda blured but rear part is clear.
as per phone call with the technician ( called me @ 22.00) the phone will be ready by 31st of July ...
attahced is the pic of the screen when submitted to the retailer.
wat u r saying sounds right & logical but the short story above just shows you with what kinda people we are dealing with !!!
Question:- does Nokia run regular audits to see service level provided to its customer worldwide??
