N82 Display Brightness, Whats Going On Here?

Right I have N82 (v20) firmware and my university mate has N82 (v11).
my mates display brightness on half way is brighter than my n82 display brigthness which is set half way.
how come nokia decided to limit this in v20 firmware?

dis is wat some else stated on the other post. but this is for the n78.
"i discovered that the brightness now depends by the sensor near front camera! if u put the n78 under a lamp 4 few secs it'll be soooo briight! then if u close the lamp u could see the brightness going down! this sensor is reallyreally sensitive with the firmware n° 11.043!
i found another problem: the speakers quality. It's really bad if u put the volume at max! i hoped it will improve with the firmware uptading... but it was just a hope N73's speakers are better! "
maybe its a new kinda of features or something.

iPhones do not have an international warranty. Warranty is valid only for the country of purchase. This is most likely because different countries require different iPhone models. Not reasonable to expect all countries to maintain stock for all models.

Why does MacBook display brightness keep going to the lowest brightness?

Hi! My daughter's MacBook (10,4.11)runs perfectly...except for one problem, the display brightness won't stay on the brightest setting. Every time the computer restarts the brightness goes to the lowest setting, which is too dim. We turn it up, it's fine until she does a restart. Any ideas? Thanks, Bill

I'm having a similar problem, when I wake my macbook or sometimes when I turn it on, the display is on full brightness even after I've set it to my liking. I'm having to reset the brightness on my macbook all the time because the full brightness is so bright it gives me a headache. I was just trying to figure out if there is a way for me the set my desired brightness once and not have to do it every time I turn the computer on.

ok i had the x58 for about 6 months now i always thought that the ram was holding me back so i took my m8s kingmax ram that ran higher than my rams and did the O.C 20X200 and tried 19 tried 17and less it wouldn't boot all tried them to get 4k i tried to use the vlots my self and leave them on auto no luck it just wont go stable !!! what`s wrong here please i need help. it will go bsod every time i try to run prime95 it wont take more than 1 min to go there i know that auto gives more vlots so it runz more stable but heck it just wont im going to my operation tomorrow (wish me luck :P ) and i really hope by the time i get out i would know what the heck is wrong with my rig :P core i7 920 d0 btw batch number 3940A783 800psu if it helps :>

Luck wished! As for your rig, once you are able to address this again, a lot needs to be clarified. Mention of different memory modules? If the rig runs 100% perfect at stock/auto/default, then technically, there isn't a thing wrong with it. Soon as taken out of this state, it is a new ball game, trial & error, & a hard look at what the goal is for RAM speed & CPU speed. It is almost impossible to give a set of magic figures & settings that will work right off the bat without knowing specifics, especially when it comes to RAM.

my ipod touch 2nd gen works fine/correctly for up to one hour (various lengths of time sometimes say 15 mins - somtimes 40 mins - seems completely random) then suddenly the volume goes completely and the only way to 'restart'/get the volume back is to plug the ipod back into the computer usb port.
The ipod touch is fully charged - its not a battery issue.
the volume disappears/stops even if you do not touch the ipod at all (just leave it without doing anything on it)
once you plug it into the computer - volume comes back...but repeat - within the hour disappears/stops again and need to plug in again
We have tried restore, restart, reset to no avail. 4.2.1 OS
anyone know whats going on please??

When i open my browser it does not go to the home page but the last page that I was on in my previous internet session. whats going on here?

Ok so I open my Firefox browser but when it opens it does not go to the homepage. It goes to the last page I visited in my previous internet session. My homepage is www.imdb.com but lets says I go to www.facebook.com and then i close the window; if I reopen firefox it will go to the facebook page and not the homepage. This happens all the time and it even happens after I restart the computer. It always goes to the last page I visited. Like this page for example where I posted a question. Once i close firefox, and then open it again, it will come to this page and not the homepage. Is this supposed to happen? It started happened a few weeks back. I reinstalled it and it still happens. thanks.

This is a pretty easy fix. Just go to ''Tools > Options > General'' and change the preference for what Firefox should do on startup. You probably have it set to load tabs and pages from your previous session.
If that doesn't work, you should look at the Knowledge Base article [[Preferences are not saved]].

Don't quite understand the rant, but that's okay.
I look as connectivity to the internet as a last resort - I don't know that I have ever used it and my labs tend to be completely isolated from the internet. Connectivity to the internet is not a requirement if you are using the -Source parameter.
Connectivity to the internet is in lieu of the -Source parameter. The installation will first check if the files are local - which they are for most cases as they are in the local SXS directory. If for whatever reason, e.g. they have
been deleted, the installation will look for an alternate location. If a -Source parameter is specified, it will look there. If none is specified, it looks to the internet.
If you plan on using the -Source parameter, it has to point to something and installation media is handy. But whenever I have needed it (the only time I have needed it is for .NET 3.5/2.0) I sometimes I use the media. Sometimes I have simply
copied the SXS directory from the media and used it without the rest of the media.
A WSUS server has absolutely nothing to do with this. A WSUS server does not provide 'connection' to the internet for the machine on which you are trying to install. Connection to the internet means that you can browse the internet from the machine.
The post that aperelli pointed you to did have a reply that may be germane. You don't mention if this is a core installation or a full installation. One of the options you have chosen in not valid on a core installation. Since we don't
know what your environment is, this is a shot in the dark.
Another point is that there could be some sort of conflict of options chosen. My personal preference would be to break the installation into smaller steps - maybe even a single feature per PowerShell cmdlet. I don't think you will see any difference
in the amount of time it takes. Then, if there is some sort of an issue, you would know exactly which feature is creating it.

}As I understand a Runnable object must always specify a run method. Normally this run method is activated when the runnable is passed to a Thread constructor and Thread.start() is called. Is it correct that this process it moved to the ScheduledFuture<?> object which also makes sure that the Runnable.run() method is executed each 5 seconds?
Regarding the last two parts: Thread shutdownHook and Runtime.getRuntime().addShutdownHook(shutdownHook); as I understand this is just to make sure that pollHandle.cancel(true) is called it the application terminates unexpected?

The Runnable gets called every 5 seconds until it get an Exception/Error or is cancelled. The ScheduleFuture is just a handle which allows you to control this task and get the last result.
I am not sure why it is cancelled when the application is shutting down as it would stop after a shut-down anyway if you didn't do this. (There is a small chance it would run while you are shutting down) A simpler approach would be to shut down the scheduler as this would stop all tasks, rather than just one. (Even simpler is to not worry about the issue)

Jellybean - whats going on here?? (3g connection?)

I look around the internet on forums and it seems I am not the only one having this issue.
Last night, my phone decided to do the update, i let it go, and went to sleep.
This morning, my data connection is ALL KINDS of screwed up. I am either stuck on 3g, or have no connection whatsoever.
It has also used 25% of the battery in only an hour and a half. It usually takes all day to get to about 50%.
I like the little updates it did, but this is a bit inexcusable. I am in no different area, I should get the same 4g connection I always get. The worst thing about this is that 2 other users at my company did their updates, and they both have the EXACT SAME PROBLEM.
Did jellybean really screw our phones up that badly??
Another note! I can no longer seem to do a screenshot by swiping my palm.

Everything I find is telling me that doesnt actually help it. If it comes down to it, I will do yet another factory reset, however I am looking for other options. I just got in touch with our Verizon rep and he said this has been happening in isolated instances, but no solution has been found yet.

Itunes store takes forever to load! whats going on here?

I have the new update for Itunes for windows 7. Every time i try to access the Itunes store it takes forever to load. It just says "Accessing Itunes Store". Ii this my Internet connection. Because i use Wifi. Or is it my Firewall. Or completely something else? Once i cancel the connection it comes up with an error message WE CAN NOT COMPLETE YOUR REQUEST DO TO AN UNKNOWN ERROR OCCURRED(-50). HELP!!!

It' only USB that can be hot plugged ie connected & disconnected while the power is on.
Plugging in any PS2 device while pc is on can have dire results.

I do not know how to do this with an Apple TV (I don't have one), but as far as I know Apple TV only does mirroring.
If you have an HDMI cable long enough to reach your TV from where you sit, then it's easy. The TV could be set up in Extended Desktop mode (mirroring off) as if it was simply another computer monitor, and then you could just drag windows to it. If you have the Displays icon in your menu bar, that's where the setting is, or if the icon is not there, then the setting is in the Displays system preference. But again, that's for conventionally connected monitors, not Apple TV. If you don't have an HDMI cable and wanted a long one that's affordable you can get those at monoprice.com.
The answer we are still waiting for is if anyone knows if Apple TV can be used in extended desktop (non-mirroring) mode.

There are no children, nor other suspicious characters that have "played" with my computer. One moment I'm in, the next time I turn on/restart the powerbook I'm at a screen with the name of the hard drive and two fields: username and password. Not a list with pictures and names ie 'Katie Jo' with an orange icon and 'Guest' with a silhouette of a head.
In an attempt to remedy this problem, I backed up files using target disk mode and firewire cable. I then, rebooted in single user mode, typed in the correct script and essentially made the computer appear virgin again. Original start up welcome screen display with multiple languages, and then set up prompts such as language, network, and registration. After completing the cues and the "just a few more questions" page, I press continue and am left at a grey standstill, with the continue button greyed out, and no other actions. I'm only able to "go back" by clicking the go back button, all the way to the beginning of the set up, and as I proceed through the steps a second time, I'm greeted with the same halt. What is this?
