N82 lotus notes traveller

Hi,
I am using N82, while i downlaod the lotus notes traveller, after downloading i recieve an error as " file corrupted" kindly suggest what to do.

It is IBM that's responsible for the Lotus Notes Traveler, not Nokia, so you'd need to convince IBM that it is worth their while to keep updating/supporting/developing it for Symbian.

Lotus Notes Traveler sync issues and problems

I could connect my Palm Pre2 to our company's Lotus Notes Traveler successfully.
It is not as straight as on iPhone as my colleagues, the only point is to indicate completely the path to the Microsoft Exchange link, like:

Then using my lotusnotesID and the Internet Password made it working REAL FINE.
I could get my mailbox, agenda and contacts exchanged with the pre2, terrific!!!
Some limitations though:
1) Tasks and notes are unfortunately NOT WORKING at all.
2) the calendar does not synchronize more than two weeks in the past, but it seems that in the Pre2, it is a limitation for any Microsoft Exchange server. I have another MS Exchange account, not the lotus one, and the limitation is the same, in the past NOT OLDER than TWO WEEKS!!
(When i think that my Palm TX, Tungsten2, Palm W, etc, did synchronize 10 years of agenda, this is really sad that a new high tech device cannot make it!! I need to know what i have been doing last year or the year before in my professional life. iPhone sync shows EVERYTHING!!)
MAJOR PROBLEM IS FOLLOWING
This worked for about three weeks, and then I started to have a weird problem.
It started on some received mails, and now it does it on every mail, all mails are shows properly in the mail list in the mail program: received from M.smith, on May 22, "Dear M.XXXX i think ..." which shows the first words of the mail.
So top display is ok.
When i open the mail, it says "Retrieving Mail Text", it loops for 30 seconds back giving an error message and asking to try again. Trying again doesnot retrieve the body of the mail either.
==> NO WAY TO READ THE MAIL COMPLETELY!!
It worked fine for the first three weeks NO PROBLEM AT ALL!!
I have tried my Lotus Traveler account on an iPod and iPhone using the same MS Exchange configuration, and there
NO PROBLEM AT ALL.
So it is in the Palm Pre sync where something goes wrong.
I reset my PALM completely, and created a brand new user from scratch, reconnected it to the Lotus Traveler account and I got the same error, so it is not a matter of database too large in the Pre2 or something else.
It is INSIDE the PalmPre synergy sync itself.
Reading my mail from other sources like Google mail, or from a POP account works like a charm.
I don't know if someone at HP Webos can do something, but this is a message in a bottle.

Hi,
I don't know what happened, but one of a sudden, on Monday afternoon, everything worked back ok again.
I was about to show to a friend the famous message "cannot retrieve mail's body", but then the mail's body was retrieved from God knows where and it came direct on my pre screen.
5 minutes before it didn't work, 5 minutes later it did work.
I didnot change anything to my profile or pre or my lotus account.
I just don't understand why this worked again.
The only difference I can think of, but I am not 100% sure, is that when I "transfer" a mail to someone else; the message I send is truncated generally just after the list of the mail recipients;
Sorry not to be able to say more than that, but it is weird for me too, how did it come to work?!?

When using lotus notes travel I cannot open or even see email attachments with firefox 4

I use Lotus notes travel to view emails. Before downloading Firefox 4 (I was using the previous version) attachments to emails were always seen and available. Neither seeing or viewing is true with Firefox 4.

Mail in Folders for Lotus Notes Traveler

Hello,
I have mail in numerous (75+) folders on my Lotus Notes. In setting up Lotus Notes Traveler on my phone, I notice that my inbox looks fine but that none of the mail shows up in those folders. Can someone please tell me:
(1) Do I need to go into each folder and refresh it?
(2) If so, will that mail then always appear, and then it will only need to sync the new messages when I enter that folder?
(3) If I turn push on for each folder (75+ folders) I am assuming I will kill my battery life. Anyone that can validate that point?

You may also want to post your question there, or contact your IT Help Desk to ensure the Traveler server is set up correctly.

Lotus Notes Traveler was working before OS10.1.0.273 update

Had just recently bought a BB Z10 and had set up our company's servlet/traveler on my BB and before the update to 10.1. But just the other day, after the update I noticed that my Notes servlet/traveler was not working anymore. Has anyone else run into this issue and if so how did you resolve it?
We are on Lotus Traveler 8.5 at work.

Hi I manage a lot of Z10s and Q10s. I pushed the update 10.1.0.273 out to a bunch of phones (we use Traveler 9) and they also have stopped synchronizing. Since you have had this problem this problem since Monday and BlackBerry has not resolved it as of yet there may be lot of returns this week of these model's.

How do I add a Lotus Notes account to Entourage?

Our company uses Lotus Notes for email, and we recently got Lotus Notes Traveler set up on our iOS devices for email access via iPad/iPhones through Mail.
I'd like to know if it's possible to set up access to my Lotus Notes account through Entourage 2008. I'm guessing that it uses either IMAP or Exchange, but I haven't been able to find the right combination of settings to make it works. Before I spend too much time on this, I'd first like to know if it's even possible.
If it is, how would I go about doing it? My series of questions below:
1. How do I find out whether it's IMAP or Exchange? Please note that I CANNOT ask my administrator about anything in this message, so that is not an option.
2. Do I have to be on my company's domain to make this work? My Mac Lotus Notes client works fine and I'm currently not on the domain.
3. In the settings on my iPad (screenshot below - actual server names removed for obvious reasons), it says "Exchange Account" at the top, the under Server is lists "server.company.com/servlet/traveler and under Email is lists : "Firstname [email protected]/servlet/traveler" (space included on the name). Are these settings of any use in Entourage? Seems odd to me that the "Email" field isn't actually my email address (which is [email protected]).
4. If the settings ARE of use in Entourage, where would I insert them?

It could potentially be a glitch with the servers when you have tried adding it. Although it may seem a silly suggestion have you done a battery pull (remove battery, wait 30 seconds and reinsert) - this may clear the problem.
A security wipe of the phone may also work but ensure you do a backup before hand. Otherwise a call to your mobile carrier to see if they can assist might be worth a try.

Sync calendar w/ Lotus Notes?

At work I have to use Lotus Notes. I have installed HTC Sync but the only option to sync is w/ Outlook. How can I sync it with Lotus Notes 8.5.1?

Syncing Lotus Notes Contacts & Calendar to iPad2

I've now got my Lotus Notes email account set up on my iPad, and the push email now works great with Lotus Notes Traveler server at work.
I'd now like to take it a step further and sync my Lotus Notes contacts and calendar entries to my iPad, but have a couple of questions before syncing them over:
1. I get the impression that if I do this, I'll lose my personal contacts and calendar entries on my iPad. Is this true, or would the Notes entries be added to my current contacts/calendar entries? I don't want to lose my personal data, but would love it if Notes Traveler information would be ADDED to my personal contacts/calendar.
2. My contacts and calendars on my iPad are synced via MobileMe to my Mac and iPhone. Would the MobileMe syncing conflict with Notes Traveler syncing?
Any advice here would be greatly appreciated. (And thanks again for the help with getting the push Notes email functioning properly!)

Sync with Act 2006 (version 8.0) and IBM Lotus Not...

First, let me thank you in advance for your help.
I'm looking into purchasing an E71. This will be my first smartphone. I need it to do the following:
1) Sync my E71 with Lotus Notes (version 7.0) to receive my work e-mail. Our tech department only supports BlackBerry's...should I be able to figure this out? Will everything sync wirelessly?
2) Sync my E71 to receive my contacts from Act 2006 (version 8.0). Does Nokia's PC Suite allow sycnronization from Act to the E71? Will it continuously update wirelessly?
3) Sync my E71 to receive my calendar from Act 2006 (version 8.0). This is the most critical of my tasks...I need a mobile calendar and I'm not willing to switch from Act. How do I get my calendar from Act 8.0 to my E71?

PC Suite already supports Lotus Notes.
However IBM/Lotus has announced an S60 client (Lotus Notes Traveler) with Nokia (but it is IBM/Lotus that has written that application:

OVI Suite 2.0 doesn't sync with Lotus Notes!

I am disgusted with the new OVI 2.0! First it keeps bugging me to download and install it. Next I found out that it doesn't support sync with Lotus Notes. Unlike my Nokia PC Suite v 7.0, it doesn't sync at all with Lotus Notes.
Even worst, Nokia claimed that OVI Suite is the only application available from them.
What am I to do with my calendar and contacts entries on my Notes then? I will not hesitate to switch to a different mobile phone maker if Nokia doesn't fix this problem!

With the exception of the calendar and contacts, which can be sync'ed as long as the PC Suite works, the Nokia backup solution does not backup much I can not backup by using the memory card and a computer (and/or the USB cable), and it will be a simple matter to drop that back into a mobile phone from another provider, and sync my calendar and contacts into it as well.
I believe Nokia employees reading these discussions should forward their concern to their colleagues and superiors at Nokia, and I know the culture in many Finnish companies implies a relatively flat structure and allows for good contact along the lines of command in the companies, so I believe that can be done.
I would like to be able to continue using Nokia, but I am more dependent on features and functionality than brand.
My postings are done on basis of my own opinions, and are not done on behalf of organizations I am or have been member of, nor employers I have or have had.

Notes Traveler on E52

I have installed Notes Traveler on my Nokia E52, but I'm not able to sync with the traveler server. Version 8.5.1.
I changed back to my old phone N95 8GB. This work fine with the exactly same settings. When I configure Traveler on my E52 it says that I have to check my username, password and server adress. I know there is nothing wrong with my username, password and server adress.. I can access my webmail with the same username and password.
I have also updatet to the last software / firmware on my phone...
Anyone else that have some problems with E52 and notes traveler?

I have exaclty the same problem. I have the same version of Traveler (8.5.1) and a brand new E52 with all the relevant literature stating that it is compatible with Note Traveler. I get exaclty the same error messages and am informed by my Lotus Notes support people that the E52 is not listed as a compatible device. I also found a pdf data sheet off the Notes website called; "IBM Lotus Notes Traveler for Nokia Devices" and (no surprises!) every E-series device is listed except the E52! Painfully it seems to specifically skip the E52, in that the E51 and the E55 are both there. I had exaclty the same nonsense when I got my E51 2 years ago and wanted to load Blackberry on it - every device was listed except the E51. May be a case of marketing being way ahead of the technical department!
Brilliant phone, but extremely irritating that the walk does not quite match the talk.
Anyone with a solution of any kind, please let me know.

Nokia N8 - Synch of Lotus Notes Calender entries

One of the primary reasons I dumped my iPhone and switched to the Nokia N8 is because I believed Nokia phones supported Lotus notes synchronization. I was shocked to find that OVISuite hasn't this capability. I don't intend to use the Lotus Traveller because our company allows the Traveller only on Blackberrys. I desperately need the capability to synch my calender even if I do not have the possibility to synch mail. Has anybody figued a way out of this? Desparate!

I've been having the same issues, new Nokia n8, cant sync anything to Lotus Notes 8.5.2 using OVO suite 2.x and cant sync to PC Suite either (un-supported device).
(although i was able to configure pop for Notes mail, but i needed full pim, contacts, calendar etc.)
I started looking at Lotus Notes Traveler 8.5.2 , and was disapointed that the Nokia N8 wasn't listed as a supported device, buy I tried it anyway (easy for my as i manage my own domino environment) and the results are in...
Using an Over the Air The Connection (OTA) , Domino recongised my Nokia N8 as a S60 device, allowed me to download the installer and configure. I can confirm that Traveler definatley works on the Nokia N8, and everything seems fine.
Notes Traveler is free to IBM customers who have a current Domino server license, and the software can be downloaded from the IBM passport advantage site.

Iphone calender import / sync lotus notes / google calendar

Hi!
I am chasing at the moment several possibilities to get my lotus notes calender and contact data into my iphone (eventually with googlecalendar). Does someone have a hint how to import or sync these data without installing software on my computer, or if its not possible which is the best software for that use?

I used Companionlink to export/sync my calendar and contacts between Lotus Notes and Google. Then used the iPhone's builtin software to sync with Google. Work fine. www.companionlink.com
Best solution though, if you have a Notes server, is to install IBM Lotus Notes Traveler. It is a free add-on to your Notes server and will give you push email, calendar and contacts on your iPhone.
