N85, Quickoffice scrolling and doc viewers HELP!

I must admit, I've always had nokias and Ive loved almost every one I've bought. Ive just got the N85 and I hate, hate, hate the new Quickoffice.
The scrolling goes line by line not as a 'page'. I use quickoffice to read my ebooks I have in .doc format, which are around 2000 in numbers, and I am finding it hard not to throw this phone against the wall.
Who has the premiere version, and is the scrolling the same? As I know officesuite lets you view docs as well, but the scrolling is still line by line. I dont want to edit any documents, so I dont want to own the premiere as I wont use it.
I would love to have to old quickoffice viewer that is on my N82, but with the N85 I've read that you cant uninstall quickoffice as it is firmware, and so I cant install the old quickoffice version 3 read only as I can only upgrade.
Any help would be gratefully received!

No I didn't. The # key seems to do the 'page' scroll, but who wants to keep the keypad open to scroll when you have a slide phone?!
This issue is so irritating. Im sure hundreds of other have this problem too, but seeing as they havent fixed it, or changed it I reckon they arn't going to bother. I dd contact Quickoffice and they said "Features come and go, as some new ones are added the older ones have to go" which is **bleep**, generally!
Oh, and they dont allow you to find a place by pressing the numbers anymore either, thats another moment I wanted to throw the thing against the wall...
I know that if you remember what page you are on, if your on page-layout, you can renavigate back to it, but if you don't, then you have to just scroll line by line, what a silly way to navigate. Top/Middle/Bottom also is a bad idea, what if your doc is 1000 pages long?
Anyway, rant over. Good luck with the new software. I've left the N85 in its box and Im back to using my N82 because of this problem. Shame really.

You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5.2 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5.2 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Older versions of Pages 5 can not open files from later versions of Pages 5.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Anything that is saved to iCloud and opened in a newer version of Pages is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Apple has removed almost 100 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

I left my Magic Mouse on overnight and now the scrolling and swiping does not work. Help Me!

About a month agop I got a Magic Mouse as a Birthday present and have been using it semi regularly on my Macbook. However, last night I accidentally left the mouse on while the computer was off overnight. Initially the mouse was completely not working, so I managed to reboot it by deleting certain things in the extensions folder (AppleBluetoothMutlitouch.kext and AppleMultitouchDriver.Kext) and while the mouse works fine now, the scrolling and swiping functions no longer work. I've tried downloading the update on the mac site, but everytime the message "a newer version of this software already exists" pops up!
I'm completely stumped (and I do not have USB Overdrive on my Mac)

If you bring your ipod into an apple store, they can also ship it out for repairs. Also you should back up your ipod onto your computer before you bring it anywhere, so your memory doesnt get wiped out. If you have itunes IOS 6.1.3, plug the device into the computer, bring up itunes, in the top right hand corner click the button that says ipod, then click summary. Near the center of the page should be a button that says back up now. Click that and it will save all of your ipod's ino to your computer so you can re-download it when its fixed. Hopes this helps!

In testing 9 and X, "Compare Docs" we have a critical issue and really need help!

For years we have used Acrobat 7 to do PDF compares and we love it! However, the company recently advised we must upgrade to 9 and then eventually to X. In testing 9 and X, Compare Docs we have a critical issue and really need help. Our PDFs are produced by IT in a batch process and one of our main, critical functions is to compare previous PDFs to current PDFs; however, in using 9 the Compare screen automatically sets the Doc Description for our PDFs to "Scanned Doc" and does not produce any differences! If you try to change the setting to Reports --it totally shuts down both documents without running! Version 7 runs the compare of the same PDFs beautifully, pointing out all the differences, as usual! Has this every happen to anyone? Do you know what we can do to our PDFs to allow version 9 to do the compare and produce results? Why is 9 treating these non-scanned PDF docs as such? Thanks so much for any help or insight you can give me on this issue!

Since photo stream doesn't support videos, you would need to use an app to do this. Dropbox may be a good choice as I believe once enabled, all you have to do is open the app and it will automatically upload photos and videos taken since the last upload to your Dropbox account (see https://www.dropbox.com/help/289/en). If you aren't familiar with Dropbox, it's a very popular cloud service for hosting files and other media. Amazon just announced that its Cloud Drive service will soon support photos (http://9to5mac.com/2013/05/10/amazon-launches-cloud-drive-photos-app-for-iphone) /; perhaps it will also be extended to support videos at some point.

Ah, good question. You don't. You must retrieve the email using Docs to Go, because Apple doesn't allow apps to access email. On the D2G home page tap on Attachments.
First you must do a 1 time setup of your email account(s) in D2G settings.
I think this feature is only available in the Premium edition of Docs to Go.

I need help with scrolling and keyboard buttons on windows 7

I've been able to install sound, bluetooth, and I'm able to do a right click.
But for some reason, I still *can't scroll* and *the buttons on the keyboard (i.e. the eject button*), still won't work.
There are two trackpad drivers on the snow leopard dvd. One is called multitouch and one just called *track pad*. Which one of those should I install?

Try installing multitouch, and then see, while in windows, if you've successfully installed multitouch and multitouch mouse, you should have those drivers. Also check if you've installed trackpad and trackpad enabler.

Attach .pdf and .doc files to Reply emails.

I am desperately trying to figure out how to attach .pdf and .doc files to Reply emails in the Mail app. I have downloaded GoodReader, but when I go into "Manage Files" and choose "Open in...", Mail is not one of the apps listed for me to choose from (only Quickoffice and iBooks are listed, that's it). My Gmail account is pushed to the Mail app, if that's relevant at all.
I'm hoping to be able to attach documents to Reply emails in the Mail app, but if I have to do it using my web-based email, that's better than nothing. I just really need to be able to attach them to Replies, and not compose a new email from scratch.
I'd REALLY appreciate any help with this!

I thought I might be able to figure out a clever work-around by using cut and paste from a new message but this did not work as expected. I have been using the MobileMe iDisk app to store pdf files and then just mailing out the links. I believe my cut and paste method would have worked with this, however I've got about a year now to figure out another way to do this if it is not included in Apple's new cloud service. This has actually been a better as I need to worry less about file size and don't need to have the files stored on the device.
You may want to look into what on-line file storage solutions are out there and if they have the ability to send links to files to colleagues, possibly with password protection.

Choice between UPK in-application help and standard EBS help

We are on a EBS 11.5.10 project, implementing UPK.
We got UPK in-application help working; changed custom.pll, set the profile option, everything fine.
Now we would like the users to have the choice between UPK help (default) and standard EBS help.
Therefore we opened the In-Application Support Player Configuration, and created a new Tab:
Type: Oracle E-Business Suite help
Tab Text: EBS help
URL: ?
Whatever we put in the URL, it won’t display the standard EBS context sensitive help. We can see the ‘EBS help’ tab when selecting ‘window help’ in the application but the page is blank or shows an error message.
Do you have any tips on how to get this working?

I have the exact same requirtment, Could you please give the step what you have done so that it would be helpfull. Also after publishing the content on the i am not seeing the "Application Option" i am seeing the smart help. do we need to configure on "Application Option" or on smart help. Where ever is see the doc it says configure oracle_gateway.html but i dont see oracle/hemi folder at all. do know if there is a set up that has to be done to get this option (UPK 11.10.1)
