N85 v30 Lock code problem !!

I've got a problem, !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I updated the software to v30 and my lock code is lost !!
It used to be 32159 and when i tried it it didn't work so i tried the defult 12345 which didn't work too !!
I noticed something else: The phone was set to lock automatically after 20 min and now it doesnt do so !!
Has anyone got tthe same problem or is only my device ?

Try to hard format your phone.if the problem not solved, take it to NOKIA care service.
you can hard format your phone as following:
switch off your phone.
press and hold "Green key" And  "*" and  "3" and as you are holding those keys switch on your phone.

  • E63 Lock Code Problem After Update

I recently checked for a firmware update for my E63. I got excited when i found out that there was an availabla one, the 510 .21 .010 and I immediately started the update process. Everything went ok but when i switched On the phone  it asked me for the lock code after 3 or 4 seconds. I tried the default one , 12345 but it showed a code error message. I can't do excatly nothing but the weird thing is that buttons Calendar,Contacts and Mailbox work but i still can't do nothing else. The Home button does not work. It doesn't seem a normal behaviour.Could it be a bug? I read a lot of posts about this problem so this means I'm not the only one having this problem. Please help me. I really need my E63 back as it is my do-everything tool. Maybe a new firmware with this bug fixed would be best.
    Thank You in advance

hello, you will need to contact your nearest Nokia Care with proof of purchase/ownership, for them to reset your security code.

  • !! Need help !! 5800 XM Lock code problem !!

    hello all ,
Month ago i bought Nokia 5800Xm , next day of buying i find out problems with my handset , first of all all of my data in the memory card gets automatically deleted " don't know the reason " after that everytime when i click on messages it says cannot access memory card phone memory will be used. The main problem was that when the phone is locked then each time when i cancel the it " means cancel the lock code " there was a square dot in b/w 4 and 7 , next day i was at Nokia care and gave ma handset for check n all , they 1 of all said that it is a software issue , suddenly they say that it is a screen problem and the handset screen will be replaced . I was shocked when i hear this  , they say aftere 15 days it will be replaced , i gave ma handset to them , after 15 days yesterday they gave me ma handset . The black dot problem was solved but now whenver i cancel the lockcode , the background where lock is present sometime the screen get full black , sometime half black screen and half lock is shown , sometime full lock is shown, i again went to Nokia care they say it is the newly firmware problem " don't know if there were lying or something " . My Nokia 5800XM ver. is v31.0.008
Plz tell me is there any other problem ?? I buyed it from Nokia , so i shout them that if there is another problem in ma handset , i need a new Nokia 5800 XM .
    Thanks
    Marshal

What country are you in? Phones for certain countries where GPS on phones is outlawed (China I think is one) have no GPS built in, or functionality removed.

  • IPhone 3G Locking Code problem

    iPhone 3G
    iOS 4.2.1 Build 8C148
    Pic at http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/8528/photolu.png
    Problem:
I know my code and I have no problem getting into the phone.
I just want to deactivate it but no option available (see pic).
When entering locking code menu, it prompt me to enter my code, I do so and then I only have the option to "change the code" but not to "deactivate it".
It seem to be a very pinpoint problem with 3G, because my other phone is a 3GS build 8C148a and it got the option available.
    Thanks for any help.

    Ok.

  • Nokia 5700 Lock Code Problems

    Hi All
    This is what I do.
Menu - Settings - Phone Settings - General - Security - Phone and Sim - Lock Code
When I select Lock Code it asks me to enter the Lock Code so I enter ANY number over 5 digits, it asks for a new lock code so I enter 67890 (5 digits), Asks to verify so I re-enter it correctly and I get a code error.
If I repeat this process 5 times it says I've entered the Lock code incorrectly and can't do it again for 5 minutes.
It also asks for this code when I attempt to reset the phone to which I enter 12345 and it errors, plus it asks for the lock code when I try to set up a timed phone lock.
If I enter any 4 digit code it just asks for Lock Code again.
    Any assistance would be appreciated.
    Thanks

I too attempted to take it to a Nokia Service Centre, who reflashed it but to no avail.
I then took it to an independant mobile repair centre and he was able to resolve the problem.
He advised that the lock code had been changed and they were able to read it (giving me the old code which I didn't recognise) and then resetting it to 0000.
I would have thought the NSC reflash would have resolved this.

  • Lock code problem aftr updating

I have updated my e63 to 510.21.010 now its asking me d lock code while I switch on the phone. I wanna get completely get rid of this problem. Plse somebody help.

The default Nokia lock code is 12345 unless you have changed it yourself and forgotten it. If that's the case then you will have to visit a Nokia Care point to get it reset.
If the phone is asking for the SIM PIN then check with your SIM provider for the default PIN. If you have changed that one as well and have forgotten it then you can enter the wrong code until the SIM gets locked and unlock it with the PUK supplied with the SIM. This will reset the SIM PIN and you can enter a new PIN for that.

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Unfortunately the only known solution at the moment is to take your phone to a nokia care point.
Care points/service centres and repair info:
    UK • Europe • Asia-Pacific • USA •
Canada • Middle East and Africa
Elsewhere: Click here, select your country, go to the support section, then select repair.

  • E66 Lock Code Problem

I have E66 mobile i wants to format my phone but at the time of code i am entering default code 12345 but its not working even i not changed my code. Can some one help me how can i again reset my code so that i can access my mobile
    Thanks

The default unlock for most Nokia phones is 12345 unless you have changed it. Normally this code can only be reset by the Nokia Care Points. However some of the latest S60 models can be reset to the default code by reformatting the phone.
There have been cases of this code being changed by certain networks. When this is the case, the security code will be on the label on the box, close to the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identifier) number. This number will be a 5 digit number but not necessarily marked as a security code.
Some S40 5th edition phones, such as the 6500 Slide or 6301, don't always have a preset lock code. In these cases, you will be prompted to create the code the first time you try to perform an action that needs one (such as clearing logs or restoring factory settings). You can also create the code from the Settings>Security>Access Codes menu.

  • Nokia n96 lock code problem

I forget my master reset code so can't reset my nokia n96 & also can't use any mamory card.Whn i put in any mamory card thn phone asking for  lock code but i 4get tht...I updte my firmware but still its not fixed...So plz some1 help me...Thnx

If you have changed the code from the standard 12345 then there isn't a way to recover the code.
You could try the hard reset (hold down the *, 3 and green keys whilst the phone is switched on until at least the handshake logo), or have the phone flashed at a Nokia service point. Either way, the phone will be completely wiped so you need to back up important data like contacts and messages first.

  • E52 - problem with lock code and bluetooth connect...

I have an E52 as my work phone, and due to company security policy, a lock code and autolock (30 minutes max) is mandatory. This is giving me problems when using bluetooth headsets, regardless of the make (Plantronics, my Garmin GPS, and latest the built in Fiscon in my car). As long as the phone is not locked, everything works fine, I can make and receive calls. But, when the phone locks, I am no longer able to make calls. In the car (both on the GPS, and on the built in connection) I can still browse the phone book and select a number, but when I attempt to dial, nothing happens.
If I enter my lock code, I can make calls without problems. However, it sort of defies the purpose of having a rather expensive hands free kit in my car, if I can only make calls the first 30 minutes of my ride.
Is this a known problem, and is there a solution?

This is not a problem as such, more of a design flaw.  It is not possible to make a call when the phone is locked, I guess the only way around the issue is just to press a button on the phone every now and then.  Say every 15 to 20 mins just push the menu button or any button randomly, that should reset the timer back to 30 minutes until it is locked next.
    Hope this helps.
Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler.

  • N85, 20.175, lock code corrupted after *#7370#

I upgraded using FOTA to 20.175 and all was perfect for some day, my original  lock code was retained and working as usual.
Today I tried *#7370#, put my lock code to execute the reset and it was performed.
After that I noticed that the security options were screwed up. I can no longer change the lock code. It has not been reset to 12345 and my old code does not work any longer.
If I perform again either *#7370# or the factory reset option my original lock code is
    accepted and operation performed.
Anyway my original code can not unlock the phone, for example If I put the
phone offline  it goes into lock state and the correct lock code is not able to unlock it.
Fortunately removing the battery and powering on the lock code is not requested and
I can use the phone again.
Originally I had the phone lock period set up to 900 minutes and the
"lock if SIM card changed" enabled.
Both these options are now disabled and I cannot change them.

    Hi donlisander
In view of the UDP feature of your N85 although it requires a degree of manual dexterity have you tried carrying out the "Three finger reset" to re-format your device and return to "out of the box" condition?
I tried all know forms of reset. The *#7370# which seems to have little effect (just reset the
phone language to "automatic"), the menu "factory setting" option which seems a little stronger and reset the theme and most settings. Also the 3 keys trick, more than once.
The security module seems to have been corrupted by the initial *#7370#. Even firmware
reinstall is not able to fix it. There must be a way to work around UDP and perform
the old style reset, which really cured such things.

I just configured a new exchange mail account. Prior to that I have configured a my previous firm mail exchange. I forgot the passcode. After setting up new account it asked for the lock code and i tried many time which reulted in data loss. I lost all my data in the phone and also I am not able to access my memory card. When I tried to connect to the phone via USB to my laptop(mass storage), to my surprise its is forcing me to format my data card in the phone.
Can some one guide me if there is any possibility to access my data on the memory card?
    Thanks in advance!

  • System lock pin code problem

So basically i have lost my macbook pro. And then i found it yesterday and arrested the thief who stoke my macbook with using find my iphone app. And right nownim confused how to make the system lock code pin appeared. Because the thief  had done something to my laptop ( so after my mac was taken by the thief. I immediately lock my mac using find my iphone app) and right now i dont know how to enter my pin code system because the system pin code doesnt come up after i turn on my mac. Please help me because all of my datas r there

If the system PIN code doesn't appear, it looks like the Mac wasn't connected to Internet after getting your Mac locked. Simply turn it on, open System Preferences > iCloud, log in with your Apple ID (if it's logged in with another Apple ID, choose "Sign Out") and mark "Find my Mac". Your Mac should be locked automatically, so just type the PIN code and it will be unlocked.
