N86 Gallery and Charing problems

Hi guys, just a few issues hopefully someone can help (tried to search but it wont work for me)
1) phone occasionally thinks its charging when it is not plugged in, very annoying, have to restart phone. any ideas? oh and also is there away to turn of that annoying little charging light? ive resorted to covering it with a 1mm square of black electrical tape because its annoying if you sleep next to phone!
2) I had about 600ish photos in my gallery, the other day that dropped to 0, the photos are still there but are not in gallery, after about 5 restarts there are now 50 images in the gallery some of which were taken on the night in question and some weeks before. very annoying as i dont want to look through images on file browser, any ideas?
any help is much appreciated Cheers guys!!

sorry for late reply, but wouldnt that negate the issue, i want my photos available, hell on my old N95 I could drop photos in and they would appear in the Gallery! oh and yes the images are still there it just seems like some coruption , e.g there is a photo (cant remember its name so I will call it Photo1). that i navigated to via file browser, however in the gallery there is a differnt photo (photo2) that is called Photo1. any other ideas?

N86 gallery, section captured, problem no pics

can anyone help me out? i have some problems with the gallery of my phone. i know the problems with the pictures there lost in the gallery view and could solve them. deleting the thumbnail databases in:
Private > 101f8857 > Cache > E Drive "al files" and
> 101ffc31 > "glxmdstn"
this worked so far. the gallery refresh the index and shows the complete pictures in the all section again.
and now i would like to know how i could get my captured pics back in the section "captured"
i have several different pics located in the image folder of my phone. downloaded and copied, ones and so on. this pics can i reach with the "all" section in the gallery. but this ones i've taken with the phone camera i would like to reach over the sections "captured" and "month". how could i induce the system to scan and include my captured pictures again. the folder structure is the same as before.
any suggestions, any folders or databases that i have to delete...

I have a problem with the effect gallery and the saving libraries in Illustrator
1. When you go to to effects > effect Gallery the the sketch filter always is black and white. Is this normal? In Photoshop you can set your background and foreground and the sketch effects takes those colors. Is there any way to do this in Illustrator? I have tried changing the colour of the fill and stroke but nothing...
2. In the same area as before effects > effect Gallery .... In Photoshop you can add multiple filters with the create new button. Always is off is there anyway to make it available? or the only way is to by creating several individual ones and manage then in the appearance panel ...
3. I saved a brush library and now it appears in the user defined area so I can get it in any document, that is good but any one knows how to delete a user undefined library?

I see that it is six months ago that I first posted this. Nothing has changed. When I use affixa to create a message with an attachment from my gmail account in firefox, the message is created in drafts, but the gmail window is closed and I have to re-open it. Not critical, but annoying.
Now there is a plug-in on the affixa site that is supposed to be designed for Firefox, and which affixa support claims should take care of this. And I've downloaded it twice. When you download it and open it, it says that it will be installed when Firefox restarts, and gives you a button to restart Firefox. But after you click that button and firefox disappears and re-appears, the affixa plug-in is NOT in the plugin list.
Please, somebody, HELP.

When I build a web photo gallery and upload to my server, the web page as displayed by browsers is blank. With preview, insid Bridge, the slideshow works fine.

I have been building web photo galleries with Bridge for a few years and everything worked fine until my latest two builds. Now when I build a gallery and upload the folder to my web server, it's not getting displayed by browsers. When you hit the index file of the gallery, the page is blank with no written errors.
When I use the "preview in browser" feature in Bridge, the slide show works as expected.
I'm creating the gallery and saving to my local hard drive. When that's complete, I ftp the entire folder to the server and then point to the index.htm file. I've been doing this for two years with good results. All of a sudden, I can't get a gallery to display on-line.

I am experiencing the exact same problem; the gallery displays and functions perfectly when viewed locally but not when uploaded to the web server. I am wondering if it is also a Dreamweaver issue as each time I upload I receive an error report e.g. some files did not upload et cetera.

Numbers in web gallery and resource image folders do not match

When I create a web gallery in Bridge, the numbers in the resource image folders, (Large, medium, thumbnail) do not match the name and numbers in the gallery and are completely out of order. The numbers are long and random. My client is trying to email the small files and cannot locate them easily.
I have never had this problem before....can you help?

open the page in Contribute, it shows the original image. When I
click Edit page, the image I want on the page is on the page. Not
sure what I've done. Pages were originally created in Microsoft
2007 and uploaded to the web. I am using Contribute to edit, it
seemed like it would be much easier to edit pages.

.mac web gallery and iPhoto '08 movies, which format?

Hi Folks, I ran into a problem over the weekend working on a movie project. As you might have read in the forums, there is no way to load up a movie to .mac web gallery with password protection. The suggested workaround by Apple is to import your movie into iPhoto '08 and then load it up into the .mac web gallery and apply the password protection offered by iPhoto.
But here comes the kicker, when I export movies out of iMovie '08 they have the .m4v extension, and iPhoto refuses them into it's library. So what kind of extensions of format should a export the movies to, for them to be imported into iPhoto. All help and support is welcome and appriciated!

Seeing as iTunes store video is m4v format I bet someone writing iTunes thought we'd better not allow anyone to add iTunes store material to an iPhoto library, so all .m4v files are locked out.
Just tested this and exported a short .m4v and as you say when you try to import the .m4v file is greyed out.
I think this'll work:
Under Share choose Export using Quicktime
I chose
Movie to Quicktime Movie then selected Options tab
Choose Quicktime to mov
Use an h264 codec with AAC.
I can certainly import that .mov to iPhoto - and create a web gallery - my uploading is very slow and everything is 'pending' at present but i thinks it's slowly going there!

N86 8MP and bleutooth: "Phone could not be verifie...

Hello all,
I have a N86 8MP with a problem.
I cannot connect it to my PC with PC Suite by using bleutooth.
PC Suite can find the phone, but after entering the password (usually 123) it says "phone cannot be verified".
Software on the phone is updated, and my pc uses a compatible bleutoothdriver (in Vista), yes I checked.
How can I solve this problem?

Gallery and camera update for Belle FP2.

I just installed the update which is available today via software update using Nokia Suite.
I'm happy that I got back the mark option to send multiple files.
There's an extra preference option provided in camera but it is still taking time for the camera to start after phone is started.

But just 2 photos. If you select 3 or more, only 2 will be attached. If you choose just one, it works as previously, you open a new message and then you can edit it etc.

Yes, everybody had got this. It's always been there. On the 700 and on the 808, FP1 and FP2. Actually the gallery/camera update has improved it a bit. One can now email 2-3 pics. Before the update even 1 pic rarely worked.
Really serious problem with no organization of the report without album and all photos in one place has been reported ?? course the problem is not solved in any way with the extra apps from the store which is slow without a good support

Gallery and chat

A few of my friends are traveling to another country so though it would be a neat project to design a photo gallery and a chat program on the web that we can use to keep in touch. the small problem is i don't know fully where to start the project. I know i want to use applet because that is the only way i know of. I have some experience with java 2d with images and such. This will also help me further my programming knowledge and experience
Is there any one out there that has worked on similar project and are willing to share some of their knowlege. Perhaps some directions on where to get help. Thanks

you can do a chat program even easier if its just for direct chat between 2 people on the web by simply using a web language such as php, asp or jsp (maybe an applet can do this too, not sure about the security)

have a message box where you type in a message, when you click send it adds the text to a text file stored on the server and puts in a delimter after the message (something people wont type) so your text file builds up like this

then have another panel or window displaying the text and keep refreshing it every few seconds. If you display the text file normall, it will get annoying because every time you refresh the page the first typed message will be seen because the page will scroll back to the top, this is where the delimiters come in.
Read the text file from the server into a string, then parse the string and tokenise it into an array structure so each array element is a message. then get the size of the array and loop through it decreasing the array position with each loop
with every loop just print out the current array position and then the latest message will appear at the top of the page and not the bottom
its no msn or yahoo, but its simple and easy to do

Blur Gallery and Smart Objects

Despite a lot of reading I am not understanding some of the subtleties here. I have converted my layer to a smart object, and then gone into blur gallery where I have used Iris blur where I have dropped two different pins with the intent of isolating two different areas of sharpness in the photo.
Then after I have rendered the filter I click on the smart object layer mask, and use a brush directly on the image to try and paint on some additional areas of blur. Unfortunately nothing seems to happen. I can wipe away some areas of blur, that exist but I can't do it in all blurred areas of the photo. According to the video I should be able to paint on additional areas of blur. I suspect this all has something to do with the fact that I am using two separate pins in the blur gallery, but I can't figure out how everything interacts.
Hope someone can shed some light on this.

I am not sure what I could show you a screen shot of. My problem is that I want to paint directly on the mask in order to add or subtract additional areas to it with a brush.
If I double-click on the name of the of the smart filter in the layers panel it reopens the blur gallery, and yes I can edit the mask there, but not by using a brush. The tools for editing the mask in the blur gallery are not allowing me to get the precise shape I want, and that is why I wanted to edit the mask directly outside of the blur gallery. After a little investigation, I discovered that PNGs also do not render correctly in IE7 in similar circumstances.
I ended up using Levels in Photoshop to bring the output blacks up to "5", saved the images as PNGs, modified the HTML from .jpg to .png, and that seems to have covered up the problem well enough.
By the way, I did confirm that IE8 beta 2 renders the images correctly.

Mac suddenly very slow and other problems

Since a few days ago I've been experiencing the following problems:
+ VERY long startup time (more than four minutes vs. about a minute previously).
+ When starting an application, the system frequently hangs for a few seconds. (While it's hanging, sometimes the process is marked "doesn't react" in Activity Monitor).
+ Everything feels much slower and less responsive than it used to be and I'm frequently getting the spinning pinwheel.
+ Parallels doesn't start any more. After double-clicking the Parallels desktop icon, the icon jumps up and down in the dock for a little while and then just disappears.
The problem may or may not be related to the removal of my Bootcamp partition, which I did shortly before the problems started to occur. I don't remember if the problems started immediately after the removal of the Bootcamp partition but I think it's likely that there is a connection.
I did lots of things to find the cause and solve the problem, to no avail:
+ Made sure that after the Bootcamp removal the Mac HD is selected as the start volume.
+ Checked the HD using Disc Utility (no errors found)
+ Repaired permissions using Disc Utility
+ Created a new user account (problem persisted)
+ Cleared system caches
+ Ran various checks using Onyx (no problems found)
+ Deleted PRAM by starting up and pressing ALT-CMD-R-P
+ Checked for viruses (no viruses found)
+ Unplugged all USB devices
+ Reinstalled OS X ("archive and install")
None of this helped.
Observations:
+ I tried to start in safe mode but that made the startup procedure even slower, I was seeing the Apple logo and the grey spinning wheel for almost 10 minutes alone.
+ According to Activity Monitor there's always lots of free memory and CPU power.
I'm really clueless as to what else I could do other than wiping the HD and reinstalling everything from scratch or sending the machine back to Apple. Any ideas would be *very much appreciated*!

Gallery and Backup Synch

I have a strange problem. In my gallery I have photos, a couple of videos...nothing major. The Galaxy divides your gallery into folders...one of which is backup. I've reset to factory twice now with the same problem. All my stuff is safe...but it also includes every single facebook friends picture as well as icons from one game that I play through Zynga. How do I stop this from happening? It also says I have 533 pictures. I counted and there are not even close to that many...but backup says I'm almost out of space!

thing listed is contacts...which are synched. No Gallery listed. I
finally went to backup assistant and manually deleted them.

Imac suddenly restart itself and other problems

i dunno how to describe my imac,this problem giving so much trouble.
there are two error come out from my imac.
1.in windows boot camp, using normally,but suddenly restart the computer itself.
2.in mac os x,same as using normally,suddenly the computer disconnect both wireless keyboard and magic mouse, then it remaining at the screen like can't move at all.Immediately, its come out three beeps sound,that are so loud. I have no idea how to close it, so i have to force to shut down the computer by pressing the power button 5 seconds.
SO WHATS THAT PROBLEM?
I HAVE SEND TO SERVICE CENTRE TWICE, IT JUST COMES OUT THE SAME PROBLEM!
Anyone help me?
