N9 - Can't enable Developer mode

When I am trying to enable developer mode (via WiFi), I get the following error message:
"Download failed
Can't complete the download.
Connection to the application provider was lost. Try again later."

I'm scared of flashing the phone... And I'll lose the warranty...
Have you seen this (attachments). There are some files missing...
I talked to my Nokia service center, they told me that I'm not supposed to use the developer mode??? Is that just an excuse because they can't handle the problem? I have nobody to ask and trust here.

How can i enable retina mode in new PS 13.1

Hello guys!
I have macbook pro retina 15. And i update my photoshop to 13.1 But when i open document in 100% zoom all so little and in 200% all so blurry. How i can enable retina mode in new photoshop or i want to draw all layouts x2? Thank you!

And now i will create templates with x2 resolution (x2 zoom will in none retina displays) and for another people (who will write html code after my template) templates will be very big and uncomfortably for use.
And another problem is support my current projects, wich i strat on non retina display, know i can draw on 100% zoom and so small or on 200% zoom and so blur )
Please say man, this is big problems?) I thought that adobe will create non-retina emulation in this version...

N9 can't install developer mode

I have an n9 64gb and whenever I try to install developer mode through both 3g and wifi I keep getting an error like can't install package not found.
I also experienced random reboots and application crashes.
Any help would be appreciated.

No problem, wasn't much of a help though.
If such had happened after some sort of flashing or playing around in the dev mode, I guess it would be easier to fix it, but if this happened straight out of box and continues like this, there is clearly something wrong.
My N9 acts perfectly without issues yet, so I wouldn't bother spending more time messing with it.

Can one enable turbo mode with acpi_cpufreq driver?

Does anyone know if I can enable turbo mode with cpufreq driver? (acpi_cpufreq)
I was able to achieve it with intel_pstate driver, but do not see any way with acpi_cpufreq. Or does performance governor automatically has turbo enabled?
I am using Intel Xeon E5-2650, which has default frequencies of 1.2 - 2.6GHz, with turbo level of 3.4GHz.

Can't enable DMA mode with JMicron controller

Working with this 975x is like pulling teeth.
Why does the secondary PATA port have to be the Jmicron POS?! How can I get it to just use the intel controller?
DMA won't work for my DVD drive hooked up to the secondary ATA. I have it set to DMA if available, and it keeps using PIO mode.

Yes, I can confirm that also, for what it is worth. I set up my new board some days ago but hadn't really tested the DVD drive yet. Although I felt and suspected everything was normal, I was very concerned after seeing and reading the problem threads on these boards. I have now tested it with a full 4.7GB burn and it took 13-14 minutes on a 4x DVD+RW, which is completely normal. Also, on checking the Nero log I see it reports "DMA: OFF" which is clearly false, but which a lot of people are complaining/worried about. Copying between hard drives (see specs) 'seems' to go at the right speed too. Windows reports 2 minutes when I dragged 3.12Gb across (quick test to see time although I cancelled it half way - not sure of the maths but seems about right from experience)
Obviously Nero (and probably other applications) are NOT able to detect the true access mode of IDE drives under the JMicron controller.

Can't enable 3d mode in Ps CS6

I'm new to photoshop and am trying to learn to use the 3D funcitonality but am not able to get 3D mode to even turned on.
Here's what I'm doing:
new layer
select text tool
click on screen, type "Hello"
highlight the text
select 3D from the dropdown menu but only "Get more content" is available
What am I doing wrong here?

Can not enable Debugging Mode in NWDS 7.2

Hi,
        I install SAP CE7.2 and NWDS 7.2.. I'd like to debug the WebDynPro App. So i set-up the setting for system instance in AS JAVA-Config Tool as the following :
- DebugMode : true
- DebugPort : 1024
- Debuggable : true
         After that i restart it and come back to NWDS and go to Run -> Debug Configuration and choose Remote Java Application(Can not found WebDynPro App as the tutorial in the board). I set the parameter as following :
- Host : localhost
- Port : 1024
        The error message show that 'Failed to connect to remote VM. Connection timed out.org.eclipse.jdi.TimeoutException'. How can i fix this issue. Please suggest me.

A couple of things jump to mind:
- Have you added your SAP CE server to NWDS server list?
- If I'm correct, you should use Debug -> SAP Application, and from there you could define your WD application debug configuration
In NWDS, open SAP Management Console perspective, from the process table select your debuggable server node, and hit 'Start debug session'

Can't enable sleep mode

Hi,When I try to turn on the sleep-mode (ie pressing firmly on the display) it shows the sleep-mode for a minute or two, then it goes back to activity-mode!I tried a couple of nights now, same thing every night and the Lifelogger doesn't record my sleep.(nor does the smart-alarm since it doesn't know I am sleeping) I am doing something wrong?Have I missed some settings somewhere? Hi,sleep tracking is automatic. It was introduced by the latest update (app version 2.0.0.48 and band firmware 2.0.0.27) As far as I know, there is no way to switch the band to "sleep/night" mode manually. But automatic detection works fine for me. Please note that time you spent in bed is not equal to time you really slept. :-) From my point of view, automatic tracking is the best way. Anyway, there is no "sleep time" indicator on the band's activity details screen even if the picture shows it. I don't know the reason. But it is visible in Lifelog application and official release notes for SmartBand Talk application claims that sleep monitoring and smart alarm features were added, sleep monitoring data are available in LifeLog application and future improvements will come. So, I think that current state is intended behavior for some reason and Sony will change it in the future. Of course, smart alarm works for me and the band wakes me up within the defined time period according to sleeping time statistics. :-)

Can't Enable Disk Mode

I have the red X, I'm tried the steps outlined on support page. I get the apple logo to appear immediately press center and play and it holds at apple screen for a few seconds then goes back to red X? Any help I live a distance away from any apple store and really don't want to pay 30 bucks to get something fixed that's quite clearly an apple problem

I have the same problem too, so still don't know the way to fix my Ipod. Nobody else know about this problem here. What shall we do now?

AT10-a-104 : Developer mode

I just called the US support team to get information form them about my brand new AT10-a-104 tablet. I spoke to 5 different people and all of them told me that Android is not a Linux Operating System. It appears that there is a serious training issue with the US support team. I suspect it is across all of the Toshiba support teams too.
My reason for calling the US support team is because I tried to find information about enabling Developer Mode on the device. Specifically I wanted to connect via adb to the device from my Linux and Mac computers. Funnily enough my Linux computer is actually a Toshiba Tecra M5 and I also happen to use it for some pretty advanced Android software and Firmware development. It seemed strange to me that there was not a developer mode for the device as I have come to expect a high standard from my experience with the Toshiba Tecra M5. Still going strong after several years of constant use.
Anyway while I was waiting for the US support team to answer the phone while also patiently waiting to be connected with someone in their team who knew anything at all about software deveopment or pretty much any general information about Linux I actually found the answer over on the Thrive forums website.
Tap Settings->About tablet->Build Number 7 times to unlock Developer mode in the Settings menu. This is a neat trick but it really should be made more obvious for serious professional developers who are interested in programming for the range of Toshiba Android Tablets. Why not put up a webpage specifically with that information. At least you could add it to the Windows driver download page. for those of us who do not use Microsoft products.

The company I work for is in the position to purchase 20 - 50k of these devices and if I wasn't able to get developer mode working it would have been a show stopper. We are still unsure because of the lack of other developer tools. Even Archos and Allwinnner provide a more complete Development toolset. At the very least it would be good to have an official Android Developer Firmware edition with the disclaimer that warranty would be void after installation.
Check out the Archos Tools if you want a good example of a fairly reasonable middle ground to keep the legal types from fraking out while also making your hardware accessible to industrial scale customers.
Even better is to offer a link for purchasing the full Android SDK for a reasonable price. Usually between $2k - $5k depending on the sales person. That would be a real deal sweatener for us and I'm sure other companies would be interested in that option too.
BTW, you really should pay someone to respond more regularly on thie forums. It ssems like no one from Toshiba is monitoring the Tablet forums at all. That is not a good look when combined with the lack of training on display with your US support team. Definitely not leading innovation when it comes to support and documentation of the Android devices.

Unfortunately...another Android firmware version cannot be installed at your own hand.
The update can be done only via Toshiba Service Station. Of course if available.

Developer Mode password lock screen bug

My dad and I just stumbled upon this bug that we wanted to let the community know about, should anyone run into a similar issue. Feel free to submit it as a ticket to the BB10/QNX development team as well.
I put my dad's Z10 into Developer Mode to do some testing, and used a basic 4 digit password that I use all the time. Once finished I turned off developer mode and turned off his screen using the lock button.
When he turned his phone back on, he was not able to log in using his own password. So we tried the developer mode password that I had used, and it also didn't work. He tried every possible password he's ever used, and one by one we watch as the password attempts countdown climbed.
At 6/10 we did a battery pull in the hopes it would start the counter over again. No such luck, it booted back up to 6/10. However, the counting then stopped. Password after password we entered, both repeats and new ones, it stayed at 6/10. We gave up and typed in "blackberry" to wipe it, but it didn't respond either. Connecting it to Link was also unsuccessful for a wipe, it was as if the phone was brain dead.
So in one last ditch effort we did a hard reset using the top and bottom volume rocker, and when the phone booted up he tried his lock screen password once more..... boom 7/10.... so then we tried my temporary development mode password and..... VOILA, we got into the phone.
Shortly before I enabled developer mode the phone was updated to 10.2.1.

It's hard to say if this is an actual bug or not or perhaps you just inadvertently changing the password to the developer one without realising, causing the several missed attempts including a possible mistyped developer password.
If you can reproduce this let us know.

I am not able to understand what the below exception means,I would like to fix this in the Development environment.Can somebody help me in deciphering the exception.
Developer Mode Exception encountered in item CacNtsCreateNotes Error: The item CacNtsCreateNotes has a maximum length (2000) which is not equal to that of the corresponding VO attribute, AddNote length (4000). Action: Make sure they are equal in size.
Is it got something to do with 2 VO attributes or a VO attribute with some other page component?

The error clearly points, that the bean on your page with id "CacNtsCreateNotes", length is not equal to the attached VO attribute.You need to make the length of bean exactly equal to the VO attribute length.
If this error is coming from seeded code, you can ignore, because developer mode exceptions are anyways not visible to user... in production.. without enabling the corresponding profile option.

I havent been working in any seeded applications lately . I am working on some other custom application and have depolyed it on server and this error did not occur untill yesterday.
There is a profile option : FND: Developer Mode which is set to nothing on server.
Also I have enabled developer mode to true in zone.properties
could any of this be a problem ?

A few doubts :
1. How is it different to set prof. opt. from Func Admin to setting it from Sys Admin ?
2. Do I need apache bounce after this ?
3. I had not touched these p/os and the values for site/user were null from before, so why do I see the error and others do not ?
