N9, multiple caldav sync entries with same user na...

Hi, With N9, is it possible to create multiple CalDAV accounts with the same user name? I am asking this because with Google calendar I have shared calendars with family members, and it is possible to sync to these calendars using my own Google account and with a specific server path. I would just need to have several CalDAV entries in order to sync to each of them? (I am currently using CalDAV to sync to my wife's calendar and Mail for Exchange for my own gmail account but I don't quite like this.) On my previous phone I used GooSync which handled all this, but I don't yet know is it possible to use that with N9. Eero

The URL for your main calendar should be: https://www.google.com/calendar/dav/ The URLs for additional calendars should be: https://www.google.com/calendar/dav/[email protected]endar.google.com/ In both cases the trailing slashes are important. The '@' must not be URI escaped (i.e. '%40'). The long UUID can be found on the individual calendar settings panels, and on the Google page above.

    Create another user for the PC with your name, and try syncing that way.
    This way it wont conflic with the other user.

  • HT201269 how do I merge multiple duplicate contact entries with cell home and e-mail entries

    how do I merge multiple duplicate contact entries with cell home and e-mail entries?

    Try linking cards:
    Open any contact you want to merge, tap on Edit and look at the bottom part of it.  You'll find 'Link Cards' and from there you may select the contact you want to link with the one you're looking at. So if you have:
    Contact 1: John A (job)
    Contact 2:  Business Name (who is also John A but you saved it as a different contact)
    Contact 3: Something else that's also John A
    You can link all three cards into one.  If you choose to, you may unlink them at any time, just tap Edit and then the red circle. Your contacts won't be deleted, but they won't appear under the same ID anymore.

  • MULTIPLE LOGIN WITH SAME USER ID

    Hi,
    As per my understanding, multiple login to the portal with the same user id and password is allowed.
    Now,
    1. Is it possible to disbale this in the portal so that user can login to the portal only once?
    2. Is it possible to allow specified no of logins with the same user id?
    Any response is highly appreciated.
    regards,
    Chandra

    What you're trying to do just doesn't work that well with any web application, let alone NW.  There are various problems with trying to restrict the number of sign ons:
    If a user signs into the portal and then walks away, they are unable to sign in again from another workstation.  What if they want to give a demo to a user elsewhere in the company while they're still signed in at their desk?  This is really just a user-issue, but an annoying one that will almost certainly drive certain users nuts.
    What if the user's web browser crashes (an unfortunately common occurence).  They can't sign in again until their session times out.  Either that, or they call the portal admin to clear out their session (how?  I don't know).  The portal admin probably has better things to do than cleaning up orphan sessions.
    If a user can't sign in multiple times, they can always open a related browser session, thereby having multiple entry points into the portal.
    So, in short, you really can't enforce a 'sign in once' rule.  By association, you therefore can't restrict them to a maximum number of sign-ins either...
    Hope that helps you out.  Points are always good

  • Restrict multiple log in with same user ID

    I have a JSF Project where I use Oracle JAAS for Login.
    The login works perfectly and also the components on the JSF page shows as per User Role. I am using OAS 10.1.3.3.
    I want to now implement the code so as to restrict simultaneous logins with the same user id. That is a user id cannot be looged in at once to the server from more than one machine.

  • Perf impact due to multiple connections with same user

    We're having to allow multiple users to connect with the same user account to our 10.4.9 AFP server. This is due to restrictions of another system.
    I was wondering if anyone knew of any performance issues this would cause.

    This is fine - as long as you're within the limits of the server license (e.g. the 10-user license will only support 10 concurrent connections).

  • Problems setting up multiple exchange accounts with same user name

    Hello,
    I have two email addresses on the same exchange server at work that I would like to configure on my iPhone4 running iOS 4.3.3. I can setup the first email just fine but when I set up the second email iOS tells me " Cannot Create Account: An identical Exchange account already exists". Here is a working example:
    [email protected]
    [email protected]
    username and password for both email1 and email2 are the same credentials. Am I getting this error message b/c the username for both accounts is the same? if so is there a workaround for it without having to change the username for one of the accounts?
    Any help would be appreciated. Also, we are using Microsoft Exchange 2010.
    Thanks

    I'm having the same problem. From all the information I can find, iOS doesn't allow you to access multiple Exchange accounts using the same credentials. I'm not sure if this is a restriction of iOS or a restriction of Exchange ActiveSync.

  • How can I share the apps that I have bought on iPhone? Both are with same user ID

    I have bought new iPad and have some apps that I want to share from iPhone. I am using the same user ID and wast able to figure out a solution for the same. Cn anyone guide me

    You can download the apps again on the iPad in the App Store - by tapping on the purchased tab and then find the apps and tap the cloud icon in order to download them again.
    If you want to add all of the app data and settings that you have already created on the phone for these apps - you will have to restore the iPad from the iPhone backup.
    You should transfer all apps on your iPhone and on your iPad in your iTunes library on your computer. The way to do that is, with your iPhone connected, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases from - the name of your iPhone. Then do the same with your iPad before restoring your iPad from the backup for your iPhone.
    Follow the restore with a sync with iTunes to ensure that all of the apps and other content did transfer to the iPad.

  • Two profile two thunderbird at the same time with same user account

    Dear,
    I would use two Thunderbird at the same time for two different profiles with the same user accounts.
    I using linux OS.
    I was thinking of using:
    # thunderbird -P profile1 &
    # thunderbird -P profile2 &
    But when launching the second command nothing happens.
    Only brings in the foreground thundirbird already started.
    If possible use this configuration now or in the nex future?

    As a rule thunderbird only runs one instance of a profile.
    However, there are a couple of options you could try.
    You could use an addon to esily switch profiles:
    * https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/profileswitcher/
    there is more help here:
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Run_multiple_copies_of_Thunderbird_at_the_same_time
    It does say: 'Multiple instances is intended for debugging, so use it at your own risk'.
    One method would be to use: Start > Run
    "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe" -no-remote -P profilename
    there is a space before '-no'
    and also before '-P'
    followed by a space and the profile name
    You could create a shortcut/icon to run each separate profile.

  • Problems syncing photos with two user accounts on one Macbook pro in iPhoto

    Hi, I hope someone can help. I've have a Macbook Pro with two user accounts, my wife and myself. My wife and I both have our own iPhones. We log onto our own accounts and sync perfectly with itunes - so far so good.
    The only issue is we have a shared iphoto 'database'. When each of us go into iPhoto we're looking at the same photo library (i.e we can both see the same photos, events, etc), although we make sure we don't both go in at the same time as I've heard this can cause issues.
    In iTunes if I sync photos from iPhoto to my iPhone it works fine. If I then log out and my wife logs in and tries the same she gets a permissions error. We've worked round this by deleting the photo cache folder, however if this is done on my wifes account, for example and then she logs out, when I log in I get the same permissions error until I delete the photo cache myself - and round and round we go.
    Is there a way that we can setup iPhoto and/or iTunes so we can both sync with iPhoto to our own iPhomes? If its means me 'owning' the iPhoto database and my wife having some sort of read access/view only access, that would be fine.
    We're using the latest version of iTunes (9.2.1) and the iPhone OS (4.0.2) and Snow Leopard (10.6.4)

    Yes I moved the iphoto library to a mounted volume, as suggested in the apple support pages, and it works fine now.
    I also made sure the volume was mounted at log on automatically. The only downside is that I have to make sure may wife doesn't log on and use iphoto whilst I am logged on.

  • ACL denied using Pkb but works using anonymous block with same user

    I have a recent 11g installation with a developer that is getting a access denied message when using a package but is able to run the same code manually in sqlplus and it works.
    eg. I have granted access to connect and resolve to the user BLAH.
    from sqlplus, BLAH can do
    select trim(substr(utl_inaddr.get_host_name,1,30)) from dual;
    TRIM(SUBSTR(UTL_INADDR.GET_HOST_NAME,1,30))
    serverhostname
    and get the hostname successfully, but this same line in a pkb fails when called like so
    exec func_name.something()
    BEGIN func_name.something(); END;
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-24247: network access denied by access control list (ACL)
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.UTL_INADDR", line 4
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.UTL_INADDR", line 35
    ORA-06512: at line 1
    ORA-06512: at "BLAH.FUNC_NAME", line 83
    ORA-06512: at line 1
    but if you were to do this same bit of code in sqlplus as follows:
    set serveroutput on
    declare
    mhost varchar(30);
    begin
    select trim(substr(utl_inaddr.get_host_name,1,30)) into mhost
    from dual;
    dbms_output.put_line(mhost);
    end;
    it works.
    I do not understand this at all. This is the same user account that owns the pkb and is running it in sqlplus. The user has been granted the connect and resolve priv through being granted a role that has this permission.
    Can anyone help me out here?

    Thanks, the oracle logic behind this doesn't make sense to me - if the user can do this action, then surely the user should be able to run the package...
    Anyway, I will try to grant directly to the user that needs the privs, but then how do I grant this privilege to multiple users, it's some awkward bit of pl/sql just to grant it to one user.
    Here is what I did:
    dbms_network_acl_admin.create_acl(acl => 'filename.xml',
    description => 'Network permissions for BLAH_USER to connect/resolve any host',
    principal => 'BLAH_USER', is_grant => TRUE, privilege => 'connect');
    dbms_network_acl_admin.add_privilege(acl => 'filename.xml', principal => 'BLAH_USER', is_grant => TRUE, privilege => 'resolve');
    dbms_network_acl_admin.assign_acl(acl => 'filename.xml', host => '*');
    grant execute on dbms_network_acl_admin to BLAH_USER;
    but this only works for 1 user and I cannot recreate this as the acl now already exists. Would I have to change filename.xml every time and do all these steps for every user?
    This is why I granted to a role and then granted that role to the BLAH_USER originally.
    Any ideas on how to make this scalable to many users or to add users to this ACL?

  • VS Workflow - Erroring out when multiple records are created by same user

    Hi,
    I am using SP 2013. I have a visual webpart and custom sequential workflow. The webpart saves the data to a custom list and the workflow is associated to the custom list on Item creation only. In the workflow, I am breaking the role inheritance and setting
    permission to specific set of users, and then the normal approval workflow happens. The whole workflow condition works fine, but if the user is raising multiple requests one after another, the workflow seems to break either in the Break inheritance or granting
    permission. If the user raises only one or two requests then everything works fine.
    Below are the errors which I am getting in the workflow:
    Error 1:
    Error: Save Conflict. Your changes conflict with those made concurrently
    by another user. If you want your changes to be applied, click Back in your Web
    browser, refresh the page, and resubmit your changes.
    I have already checked this :
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/sharepoint/en-US/60ab04fd-9650-427d-a48f-784bc22fae05/workflow-and-save-conflict-your-changes-conflict-with-those-made-concurrently-by-another-user?forum=sharepointdevelopmentprevious_
    http://adrianhenke.wordpress.com/2010/08/20/sharepoint-error-save-conflict-your-changes-conflict-with-those-made-concurrently-by-another-user/
    I have also implemented the "Reload" thing posted in the above URL. This error only happens when multiple new requests are getting raised by same user. This error does not happen if I terminate the workflow and re-start the workflow.
    How to fix this?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Based on my understanding, you have a Visual Web Part for adding new item into a list. A workflow will be triggered when item creation in this list. Everything works
    fine except when an user adds multiple items in a short period.
    If this is the case, plus with the error message, a possible cause is that the SharePoint Server and the workflow engine are not functioning effectively enough to
    handle the multiple request in a short time, therefore a scenario is that when there is new item being added into the database, the workflow modifies the “RoleAssignments” property of this item at the same time, this may cause a “Save Conflict” error.
    As you said, “If the user raises only one or two requests then everything works fine”, a workaround is that you can disable the adding item function in Visual Web
    Part forcibly in a specific period after a new item is being added by current user, it can leave some time for handling the item creation and item modification.
    Or if there is a need to submit multiple items concurrently, we can organize the requests into one request, then handle this item with other custom logic in your workflow.
    Thanks

  • "Accounting-Start" and "Accounting-Stop" with same "user name" and "session Id" recorded in different RADIUS servers.

    Hi,
    I have questions about "Accounting-Start" and "Accounting-Stop".
    1.If a NAS configured to have a primary and a backup RADIUS server. To start with all the “Accounting-Start” records will be in the primary RADIUS server. Later on the primary server goes down (Primary server won’t tell the NAS?). When sessions stop, the NAS sends the “Accounting-Stop” to the secondary. I understand the “Start-Stop” record with the same “user name” and “session-id” ideally should be recorded in the same server. If this situation happens what should both the NAS and RADIUS server do?
    2.A NAS configured to have a primary and backup RADIUS server. To start with all the “Accounting-Start” records will be in the primary RADIUS server. Later on the administrator decided to change the primary server (as there are problems with the previous primary). sessions stop, the NAS sends the “Accounting-Stop” to the new primary. This ends up the “Accounting-Start” and “Accounting-Stop” with the same “user name” and “session Id” in two RADIUS servers.
    To summarize, how to avoid the ”start-stop” pair ends up in different servers ? If it does, is it  an issue for RADIUS application ?

    hi,
    can you please help me with this production environment issue!
    there are 2 users with same userid, same first name and last name in OIM but are only one is present in all of the target resources. i just dont know how to delete such user, as the two are in active state.
    Any suggestions are welcome!!
    Thanks!

    This can only happen if something went wrong with your trusted reconciliation settings. Mostly with the settings of recon rule. Please check whether in the rule definition, whether it is set to case sensitive. Even that, it shouldn't create 2 users with the same user id in OIM as user id is unique in OIM enforced in the database table.
