N9 not detected via USB connection

Since last few months I have observed that my Nokia N9 is not detected via any PC if connected via USB cable. The USB cable is OK because my other devices are easily detected through same cable. Can anyone suggest solution. I have already try to "Clear device" under settings->Reset.
Please help.

Presumably your N9 still charges when connected to PC USB?
Does this apply to both Nokia Suite and Mass Storage mode presupposing that Nokia Suite is installed upon PC?

New HP Officejet Pro 6830 for user to have local USB printer/scanner at desk. User runs win 7 64 bit on a network. Raninstall through setup.exe. Followed steps, connected printer via USB when it said to and it detected it and finished install.You can use HP Scan software and it scans to the PC perfectly. It will not print from any application or even a testpage from the Printer Properties page. If you go to the maintenance application it will print status and test page. If you run HP Scan and Print doctor it does it's thing, gives all Green Check marks and lets you print a test page fine, but it stillwill not print even a test page from the printer properties page (start/Devices and Pritners/right click on Officejet Pro 6830, select Printer Properties for Officejet Pro 6830 (not the Fax 6830), and click print test page. It does not seethe printer. It is a networked PC and has network defined HP network printers as well but user wanted a printer/scanner at his desk. I actually took the unit and connected to my laptop which is same win 7 64 bit platform and it does the same thing. I disable the virus protection to do the install so that is not an issue. It clearly sees and installs the printer, andlike I said the HP Scan works fine so it is connected via the USB to the PC, but it will not print. I have tried to install from the CD, and removed device and tried to install from the new downloaded drivers as well and it just does not want to print.I have conected to different USB ports, and like I said actually tried it on a different PC and had same results. Guidance certainly would be appreciated.

Hi , I see by your post that you can scan, but are unable to print over the USB connection. I would be happy to help you.
I have provided a document for setting Security permissions for printing to see if that will help. If the issue persists, reinstall the printer on the Administrator Account to see if you have the same results.Unlock Hidden Administrator Account and install the printer on this account: Go to your Start menu and under the 'search programs and files' box type CMD. CMD will populate as a search option above, just right click on it and 'run as administrator'. Once CMD (Command Prompt) opens, type net user administrator /active:yes and hit enter. Next, close CMD and restart your computer. When your computer comes on log into the new account that should show. It will be called Administrator and will not have a password on it. If your computer automatically logs into your account after restart than go to your start menu click the arrow beside 'shutdown' and choose 'switch user'. Now log into the Administrator account we just unlocked.Under the Administrator account, install the printer software. Test the printer. To turn off the Admin account start back at step 1 and type in net user administrator /active:no.Please let me know the outcome. M9 not working via USB connection.

From the card directly onto the macbookpro it recognises only the camera not the lens in the metadata. Nothing via the USB connection. Does anyone know if we are still waiting for an update to Aperture for this? If so that's ok, I'd just like to use Aperture rather than Lightroom.

Login to airport utility via Mac or windows pc. Look under connected usb devices and it should say your manufacturer for the printer. If not try rebooting both printer and router with them being plugged in or try different usb cable or port on printer.

Lumia 1020 not detected via USB on Windows 7 PCs

Hello - I hope you can help.
My new Lumia 1020 is not detected on any of 3 Windows 7 PCs I have access to. When plugged in the phone will begin to charge but the PC does not detect the phone at all - it doesn't appear under device manager in any guise (no portable devices or unrecognised devices).
OS 8.0.10517.150
Windows 7 64 and 32 bit
I have follwed advice on similar threads and been through the nokiatechsupport.co.uk troubleshooter on the issue which took me through the following:

I just get the 'connect your phone' screen despite restarts of both phone and PC. Also tried switching the phone off and then plugging in = same result.
Factory Rest
Same result - phone is not detected, nothing appears in device manager.
I've also tried installing the Nokia software recovery tool but that doesn't see the phone either.
Have tried different USB ports on all PCs.
Any help much appreciated, otherwise next step is talking to my network support I guess?

Use the USB cable that came with the phone. Have you always done this?
A device that is under lock screen may not be detected and drivers will not load.
The desktop phone sync program provides nothing that will help the phone be detected.
The phone has to be seen by the PC and identified. When this happens the drivers are downloaded from the internet for the phone. Having the drivers does no good if the phone is not identified by the PC.
If you have access to other Win7 or 8 PC's try connecting to them. If you take it to anybody that is the first thing they will do. This helps determine if it is the phone or the PC.
If you take somewhere use Nokia Care.
One thing I saw today, user having the same problem. On the phone, start an app that connects to the internet, like a news app. Then connect the phone to the PC.
There are phones that won't connect.
You should see it in windows explorer. It should install in 'portable devices' in the device manager.

I bought an airport time capsule 3 TB, and I wanted to connect my multifunctional printer-scaner "canon i-sensys MF4350d" via usb to my airport device.However, I found a problem. I called this problem into Apple and they solved it for me. The problem is in the downloader associated with iTunes. Skip that step and go to Apple.com and download the new iTunes softwere update (Version 11.1) directly. I did this and installed it successfully. After restarting the computer iTunes recognized my phone and all was well. Then I updated and installed the ios7 update without any problems. No charge. Full cudo's to Apple!

The product manager for T Series suggested the following: We assume that the USB 2.0 drive you are trying to connect functions in another computer. It is probably a formatting issue or a USB Registry Key Conflict. If reformatting the USB drive doesn't work, search for USB registry cleaner tools online to remove any conflicts/corrupted USB registry keys. Also, Microsoft may have some support tools to clean the USB registry keys

i connected with the adobe people through 'contact an agent'.
very helpful, they remote managed my desktop to fix the issue.
apparently something to do with permissions not activated for adobe, not sure how and why this happens though, or why it was fine earlier and suddenly stoppped.
they insisted it was to do with being on a wifi connection but that's not possible because i have my laptop right next to my desktop and that was working fine.
it took about four hours to fix though, so be patient!

A wireless printer connects to the network just like your computer, or iPhone/iPad, etc. connects using wireless.
The printer must be set up intially to scan to "find" available wireless networks, then your specific wireless network needs to be selected. Then the password for the network needs to be entered.
Once the printer is configured to join the network, it is always connected to the network. No further configuration is required.

understand why apple would change one of my favorite features. I use the notes feature to

But alas after the recent update it's not. Really Annoying.

Then you won't be syncing your notes anymore.
Contacts and Calendars are the only things they restored.

My Mac Mini will charge - but not sync with - USB-connected devices (ipod, camera, memory card reader). I have tried unplugging the devices, restarting the computer, selectively unplugging and plugging in the devices, closing and opening the relevant applications (iTunes, iPhoto, etc). I have tried using different USB cables.
It's like all of a sudden the synching service stopped functioning or recognizing these devices for some reason. The other ports work just fine (monitor).
The only USB-connected external device that appears to be unaffected is the USB SuperDrive and it works on all the USB ports into which I plug it.
How do I fix this?

Open Console in Applications>Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens or doesn't happen.

Set it up with SMB compliant names.. that means, short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
Set a different name for 2.4ghz and 5ghz..
Set security to WPA2 personal with pure alphanumeric password.. 10-20 characters is usually plenty.
Set wireless channel for 2.4ghz to manual and try channels 11, 6, 1 in that order.

I am having trouble printing via wireless with HP Office Jet 6500A printer in our new residence. It worked in our other house but not here. I have to print via USB connection

Any ideas on how I can get a regular wireless connection with HPOffice Jet 6500A from my Mac Book Pro? It used work well and wirlessly in our previous home with a Broadband conection through the router. Would moving to ADSL have caused the issue now or is it the printer? I have had it work about three times but have resorted to plugging in via USB port. Two viviting techos have not been able to fathom it out either.

It is very difficult to offer troubleshooting suggestions when the "os version" you are using is unknown as each os has their own troubleshooting solutions.

Thinkpad Edge S430 - Windows does not detect external display connected via HDMI

On a Thinkpad S430 with HD4000 integrated graphics, an external display connected via a HDMI cable is not detected at all when using Windows. The system is fully updated as of the time of posting this message, both via the Lenovo Update tool as well as Windows update.
The Intel driver version is 8.15.10.2696. It appears that this is the latest version, since it does not offer an update when I try to auto-update it via Device Manager.
NB: I am running Ubuntu 12.04 with kernel 3.4.0 on the same machine, and the external display works perfectly fine with this software configuration.
Hence I think that it's very likely that this is a Windows-specific driver issue.
Would Lenovo happen to have a driver update in the works? Alternatively, I will be thankful for any suggestions about possible resolution of this problem.
