N9 You tube issues

Hello Chaps,
Just seeing if any others are having a similar problem with their N9s and You Tube.
When i try and watch a video on You Tube  the timer starts at 30:00 and will go up from there, so if the vid is 5 mins long the end time is going to be 35:00.
Also i get about 1:30-2:00mins in to a vid and i get the message "Can't load video" and i have to open the vid again to watch more.
Any one?
"Freedom is the only way, yeah!"

actually, it is still happening, it seems to be when im using 3g and the error message is "Video cant stream" if im at home in wi-fi then it is fine. From this I thought it would be a problem with my provider, but a guy i know on a different provider is having the same problem.
hmm a tough one.

  • Yosemite o s upgrade... You tube issue...?

    Hi there,
i have just upgraded to yosemite operating system (iMac (21.5-inch, Mid 2011)
I have problems whilst in Safari browser watching any you tube video's... The sound does not engage and the video goes haywire and well don't understand what's happening guy`s... Can anyone throw any light on this for me...?
Specifications are : 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5 processor : 12 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 Memory :Hard Drive Macintosh HD.
Was hoping to have problem free use of my iMac after upgrading...?
    Regards Rob

    Try a restart.
Do a backup, using either Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure files/data can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.
Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work. The intent is to see if it is specific to one account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.
Isolating an issue by using another user account
Try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account.  Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up after waiting 10 seconds. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear and again when you log in. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don’t do them all at once.

  • Email and you tube issues

Has anyone found a fix for the apostrophe issue when sending emails? I've talked with Motorola and Google and get the "we're aware of the issue" response. This is an ongoing issue that results in an html code when any contractions are used in the email.
When viewing you tube videos there is an intermittent/random issue with no audio occurring on some videos while others work fine. Someone responded with the suggestion to download Microsoft's Zune software which Micrsoft says isn't compatible with Android software.

I just tested that by sending emails from my phone with both my Gmail account and my corporate sync account.  Sent them back and forth to each account and to my home email. I used a bunch of words with apostrophes.  They all came through fine.  Don't know why yours would be having a problem.  Sorry I can't help.

  • You Tube issues on iphone 4

Im posting to see if anyone else is notice some strange things hapening to youtube.
most of the videos i am playing on the iphone 4 seems to have lines now and again that kind of look like a bad tv reception, sometimes it will go blocky too just like a sky dish signal, its getting pretty annoying, anyone else having these issues? does anyone know of a fix?
    thanks

Definitely not the cause of the problem.
I have the same problem when using WiFi on a 50Mbps connection (iPhone gets about 10Mbps). Problem seems intermittent though, viewing the same video later doesn't result into it breaking up into blocks/lines.

  • You Tube issues

I am able to access YouTube on my iPhone 3gs, however, i can only play the first few seconds of any video and then it stops. Does anyone have any idea why this is occurring and what I can do to fix it?
    Thanks!

I have the exact same problem. I have tried 2 different routers at my house as well as have had my iPhone replaced and the problem persists. Surfing the web is fine but downloads from the AppStore seem to be slow as well. I found this site with some suggestions for tweaking the router which I will try when I get home tonight but if someone else can try them sooner it might save me from wasting my time...

  • You Tube problem

For some reason I can't access You Tube. I bought my ipod touch a couple of days ago and everything else has worked fine, but when I go to you tube all it says is "You must first connect to iTunes with an internet connection to enable You Tube". Now, I don't get it because not only have I connectd to iTunes but downloaded songs so what can I possibly do, any ideas?

Don't know if this is the answer, but it seemed to work for me.
Brought a new 16GB Ipod Touch (gave the old one to the wife!)... but had the same You Tube issue and message as you. I disconnected the Ipod from my Mac and logged out of my I Tunes account.
I connected again and this time i was asked to register my new IPod, which I did and heh presto You Tube works... So I have to assume it's something with the registration or unplugging and re-plugging my IPod..

  • Spacing Issues and You Tube embed not playing in IE8, OK in Chrome or Safari

There are spacing issues (makes the website pages look like they are puzzle pieces) on all the webpages in
IE8, but in Safari and Chrome the website works fine.  Same for the You Tube embed.
My wife did the layout of the website in Ilustrator and then transfered over the design to Dreamweaver CS3
(she's a graphic designer - I stopped asking questions long ago).  Since she uses a Mac, it looked fine to her
in Safari.  She took it to her work computer (PC) and tried to see if there were any issues detected when viewing in CS5
and she said it was fine.

  • Audio Quality issues in You Tube

    Hi Guys
I am really struggling to work out how to submit my music video to 'You Tube' without severe degradation of audio quality.
    V. Happy with the vid. side - H.264 output with optimised parameters on all fronts (debatable I know - but I guess I'm aware of those parameters)
Trouble is the whole point is the music - which just loses it.
The export from origin added to project in Premiere is 24bit, 96khz sample rate - mastered to optimised preference and sounds pretty cool in direct
comparison to random productions from other sources.
(ie: your favourite band music through stereo system (decent speaker output) via CD Rom)
Have attempted all available audio parameters within CS6 to no avail.
Whatever I do - the audio sounds the same ie: diminished
I know 'You Tube' compresses again but how can I avoid this? - Would love to hear from anyone who has had, is having the same issues!!
Suspect that this requires some kind of server side 'pay for' service, I just can't identify where.(or that my master is crap)
    Kind Regards

You won't even get CD quality sound out of YouTube, let alone anything approaching 24/96 quality.  I think you're only avenue for delivering that is DVD-Audio, which never really took off.

  • Ipad You tube video playback issue

You Tube videos keep stopping during playback. Any suggestions?

More than likely, it is your internet connection speed. The iPad will not stream or download as fast as your computer will even though they are using the same WiFi network in your home.
Check and see what you think
    http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=test+internet+connection+spe ed&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8
You can download an app called SpeedTest on the iPad and check your connection on that as well.
Try viewing YouTube videos from a public WiFi place like Barbes and Noble or Starbucks and see what you get there with everyone sucking down bandwidth.

  • You Tube viewing issue

Im trying to view my uploaded You Tube videos and some work and others come up with an error message 'Video Unavailable' the author of this video does not allow playback on IPod/IPad.  But others have worked and Ive checked settings in You Tube any ideas and it plays back ok on my notebook. Cheers

Under the settings for each video YouTube gives the option as to whether the author would like to allow it to be viewed on "mobile devices". Which in effect means anything other than the main website. In some cases YouTube will automatically viewing if it detects certain copyrighted content.
There is a workaround for this, although it's  buggy... Go into Safari and navigate to YouTube.com. You should arrive at the mobile YouTube site. From there go to the bottom and tap "desktop". Once that loads go to the bottom again and tap "Try something new!". Locate the "HTML5 video" option select "Try it out". With this enabled, videos should now play on the main website. Should being the operative word. For whatever reason it doesn't always work unfortunately, hence the buggy part.

  • Just purchase ipad3 trying to play from favorites in you tube but can't set up a play list, username /password not recognised, tried some apps like SoundBox but same issues, can anybody help?

Just purchase ipad3, trying to play you tube favorites but can't set up a play list (username /password not recognised)
Tried downloading apps such as SoundBox but no joy
    Can anybody help?

Thanks for that. Much more constructive than the last comment. It's only the restriction code I can't recall, not the access passcode. So I can currently access the device, just not age restricted content. Does that's make a difference? I also wondered if anyone knew how many attempts you get to try to get it right. Now tried 21 times and so far nothing bad has happened but I am concerned I'll eventually be completely locked out of the device. That doesn't seem in the spirit of things though. Surely it's foreseeable that a child could repeatedly try to guess the code so I can't see that it would be right to lock the device down completely in that circumstance, particularly if the access code is being typed in correctly every time.
    Thanks

  • Can not view videos on you tube in firefox4 using flash player11

    I'm using firefox 4 and i can not view videos on you tube.I've updated and reinstalled adobe flash player twice with no results.I've also tried the other checks,security blocking,cache,pop ups etc Works fine on IE. Hope someone has a solution.I've always liked firefox but not the newer versions and many of the changes;

I can't believe you're still running Firefox 4. Why not a newer version?
There are a number of active threads concerning the latest Flash player plugin (11.3) and the latest Firefox (12-13). Not all users are experiencing the same issues, but things to check include the following:
    - Conflict with Realplayer Browser Record plugin (to disable this, open Add-ons from the orange Firefox button or the classic Tools menu and look under the Extensions and Plugins categories)
    - Conflict with Flash 11.3 Protected Mode (see [http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1018071?tstart=0 Adobe Forums: How do I disable Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?])
Scanning down the front of the forums probably will yield additional suggestions: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions
Does any of that appear promising?

  • You-Tube Videos on Macbook Pro

Suddenly I have a problem when viewing You-Tube-Videos. They keep breaking up on my Macbook pro. I never had this problem before. My browser is Safari. Any suggestions?

The Flash plug-in failure on Lion, is a Safari issue that can be fixed with these steps:
My Flash Player plug-in would not play videos on YouTube (using Safari in Lion). It turned out that my Safari settings needed to be reset after the recent Lion 10.7.4 and Flash upgrades.  I called Apple tech...
This is what we did to fix it:
    1. Open Safari.
    2. Go to top left menu, under "Safari" click on "Reset Safari."
    3. UNCHECK the first two boxes, leave the next three checked, plus UNCHECK the next two, and keep the last three checked.
    4. Hit "Reset"
    5. After the reset finishes, Safari will relaunch and you can test Flash by going to YouTube to see that videos will now play.
    Thanks Apple Care!
