N900 shows no connection available

i been using n900 frm last dec. just frm yest its not showing any internet or wireless connection!
it takes lot of time to search and finally shows no connection available. i tried restoring etc but all in vain.

which country are you in and which country did the device originate from?
different region devices have different versions of the OS, and may have different wifi channels.

"No saved connection available" message showing er...

Ok before you start solving things, this error makes no sense.
I have an error message showing in the yellow bar where Charging is shown, or Weather Update 1/1 Done is shown.
The error message is
"No saved connection available"
appears only
- when iclicking the web browser when not connected to wifi or wlan)
- when i click my ip wiget to open up the selection of connection
BUT ... I see my connections I see my wireless lan connection as well as service providers connection and I can connect and go on the internet.
It appears everytime but I always have connection available though ...
Recently Upgrade firmware, currently now Ver. 20.210.36-2 via Nokia Software Updater, which delete all my applications, I did a restore back up that was on my phone to get all my programs and as well as service providers internet settings.
But then this issue came up...

N900 802.11 connectivity issues

I've had my N900 for just over a week now and have had no issues with it until yesterday. Since I'm an AT&T user in the US, I don't have 3G support, so when I'm at home I have it autoconnect to wifi and use that around here. Yesterday it started where I would just randomly lose connectivity over wi-fi. The phone would still say I'm connected, I would still have an IP, and my router will still show the connection as active, but my phone wouldn't be able to browse anywhere, and trying to get to my router would give me a "connection refused" instead of a not-found error in the browser.
Sometimes I can just disconnect the network, wait for a minute and reconnect, and it'll work again, but usually only for a few minutes. I've tried reboots as well, to no avail.
Anybody have any ideas or suggestions?

Yeah, it makes sense. But rootsh helped me do what I need to. Here's the info from dmesg. I just connected to carrier cell data and then made sure it worked, connected back to my wifi, made sure it worked, then it dropped.
Remember - all this time I could see the device connected in my router, and my laptop was on right next to it working.

The Apple Mobile Device driver is loaded and operating. The anti-virus software and firewall are not at fault (were uninstalled, and made no difference). This error may be resolved by disabling, deactivating, or uninstalling third-party security, antivirus, and firewall software. See steps in this article for details on troubleshooting security software.
Error 1604: This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, uninstalling and reinstalling USB ports, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections, device not recognized properly, computer won't recognize a FireWire or USB device). If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode,put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for error 1604.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while iPhone remains connected.
iPhone should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

Wifi is connected but showing limited connectivity

hi when i connect in my home wifi its connected but its showing limited connectivity i cant access internet from my home wifi but in others wifi its connecting and i can access internet too why please solve my problem thanks

Need more information. What phone and router have you got? Are other devices working with the router? Did you update router firmware recently? Most of the time it is a settings or firmware issue.
Things you can try.
Reboot router
Update router firmware if available
Temporarily disable router encryption to see if the phone connects without encryption
Try different encryptions
Check to see if DHCP is enabled
Change router modes
Check mac filtering

Playbook won't connect to server or web, although shows wifi connected

I have a PB that I had been using in US and all the features were working without any problems. I recently traveled to India. The PB worked fine at the Frankfurt airport (in transit). However, since I have reached India I have tried to use it at the residence and have been facing problems. I have saved the wifi and the PB shows itself connected, but, when I try using the PB video chat it says "couldn't connect to server". The emails are not updating. When I try to update them it again says "unable to connect to the email provider server". I am not able to open any web page either. They all time out.I have tried rebooting the PB and the router.
Has anybody else faced similar issues? I am getting desperate as I didn't bring my laptop and was relying on PB to get most of the work done!

To test, and verify that its not a problem with the Wi-Fi router, can you try connecting to another Wi-Fi hotspot. The web and video chat should be available on the BlackBerry PlayBook while travelling to India.

I have spent probably a few hundred dollars on movies, music and apps on itunes. I have only ever downloaded this on my iPhone. I plugged my iphone into a laptop and now all my music and videos are not showing up on available downloads. WHAT DO I DO?!

Isn't iTunes 10.5 r 9 a beta release for developers? If that's the case then isn't there a special web site for developers to discuss issues (and they are not supposed to discuss them on the public forum)? If you're not a developer and have this through unofficial channels then I'm not sure you can expect full functionality.

Even when I do accept the risks the site no longer looks the way it's looked for years. Twitter doesn't even give me the option to accept the risks at all and shows this error (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer). I've tried resetting Firefox, I've checked the time and date, and I've removed and added Firefox to see if that would work. ok, unfortunately the fiddler2.com issuer in certificates might be a sign of unwanted software present on your pc that is intercepting secure network traffic. please go into the system control panel and uninstall programs like BrowserSafeguard, BrowserSafe, SafeGuard or other software that sounds suspicious and didn't get installed by you intentionally.

Each time I connect my laptop to a location other than my (first and original) home office, the network icon in the taskbar shows a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark through it, meaning "Unidentified network, no access". Yet, I have both wifi and LAN connection as evidenced by me being able to post on this forum.
I have tried to change my location to "home" or "work" to no effect. One of the error messages I get is 'must belong to a home network' in order to change. Well, from what I can understand, a home network is created by and for other Win 7 machines. I am the only one at this location...and I own the network (my new home office location). In another instance where this happened, I had a network engineer at that office location look at the problem and that's where I learned that although the icon shows no connection, it was in fact connected to their wifi.
It is impacting me because I subscribe to MS Office 365. I have had Microsoft support trying to troubleshoot the problem, inadvertently as I was having trouble connecting my Outlook client to get mail. Since that time, my Office 365 subscription needs activation, but it can't hit the MS license server. Also my Skydrive is not synching. It's definitely been determined (by MS) that it's a local network issue. I don't think it is a network because it happens at other locations.
I need to get this fixed because my MS office license has expired and it needs re-activation. I have loaded the latest Lenovo wifi driver, thinking that would help (Intel PrOSet/Wireless Software version 16.1.3). Not sure what else to do here. I am going grayer by the day.

Check within the network bars on the phone whether it is showing you 3G, EDGE or GPRS in capital letters...!!
If not give a hard-reset to the phone (remove the battery put it back once)...
And if it shows in caps letters then try requesting for services again... how? on the phone desktop > within the search bar > type "Host Routing Table".... search results shows you as "options"... select that & select host routing table... afterwards, hit the blackberry menu button > select register...

I have no idea what may have caused your MacBook to stop working, but from your description it kind of sounds like it may have started before you ran Software Update and installed the new Apps. Just the general slow feeling and bugginess is what tips me off. You said that you weren't sure if you had closed all open windows, that doesn't matter if the computer restarts itself. It automatically closes all other open applications when restarting.
As to your data being retrievable, if when you take it in they do a fresh install of the OS, then no, it will not be unless you want to pay several thousand dollars to a software retrieval company.
I am glad to hear that you have taken into the Apple Store to get it fixed, and that you have all of your purchased music backed up to your iPod. You should be able to just transfer it all back to iTunes once you get your computer back should it be necessary.
As a side note, the proper place for this topic would probably in the MacBook forums, not iTunes since there is no evidence that iTunes started the issue.

Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

UCCX 10.5 Real Time Report shows "Not Connected"

Hi,
UCCX 10.5 HA over LAN.
As per the title, RTR shows Not connected for both nodes and no data shown for all reports. all services are In service in both nodes.
Any Ideas?

Are you accessing this via the IE or FF? If so which version?
The Real time reporting on UCCX connects to the RMI port 6999 to pull the information on the Engine. If there are no port blockages or if there are no issues with the browsers, then it is a problem with the configuration files in root holding this information which needs in depth analysis.
A restart of the Engine also should help. I know that everything is IN SERVICE, but I have noticed a lot of issues on UCCX 10.5 when there are stuck calls on the system, it impacts RTR with the midnight stats reset.
The reset of the Engine is bound to clear all the stuck calls in the system and this may be a side effect of the stuck calls on the system especially if the RTR was working before you noticed the problems.
