N900 won't boot, not sure if its charging. HELP

Last night my N900's screen became very very dim, and the brightness would not adjust when i changed it in the setting menu. After a couple hours, if ran out of battery and turned off.
When I got home I set it to charge for about 45 minutes with the wall charger. i held the power button but nothing changed, the light on the side stayed a constant yellow and nothing happens on the screen.
I left it to charge for another 2 hours with the wall charger, when I returned there wasn't even a yellow light which leads me to assume it stopped charging. I unplugged it, plugged it back in and the yellow light appears again.
summary:
My N900 does nothing when i hold the power button.
I have no clue what I can even try. When i plug it into the USB my computer doesn't see it, all I see is a yellow light.

Remove your battery for 30 secs and then replace your battery and try to turn on your device.
(If you have a microSD , remove it)
if it didnt worked, use a new original Nokia battery with your device. (Coz i think your prob is with your battery)
But some people had some probs with their power button. So better to take it to a Nokia care.
