N91 and web browsing

evwerytime i use my gprs and the phone loads a page with lots of images i get a prompt which states that memory low which then stops the images from loading....
anyone can tell me how i can stop this from happening? and yes i want my images loaded....so please dont suggest turning sound and images off!!!!

The N91 has a fixed amount of run-time memory available. If the page is too big to for loading and displaying, this is what happens.
All you can do is to turn off the image loading, or ask the web page developer to reduce the page size.

Problem is the well known famous message 'requires a microsoft sharepoint foundation-compatible application and web browser' when the user chooses the button New Document.
Why this behaviour for this user is different then all the threads and blogs I read about this message is because of the following: I am logged on using my Windows account on my computer (VDI so I have the same computer as the user experiencing the
message) and don't have this problem. When the concerning user uses my logged on computer under my account and only logs in with his credentials within SharePoint (sign in as Different User) then the problem occures. I performed the same actions on the same
library as the concerning user.
So ruled out are:
- Browser version
- Office version
- windows User Profile
- x86 vs x64
- MS Foundation Support installation
- add on SharePoint OpenDocuments Class
Please help me out.

Do you have different versions of Office or SharePoint Designer or any Office product installed?
You can try repairing office installation in that particular user machine and see what happens.

Sorry to say but software versions can be ruled out as I mentioned the user have the same problem when using
my logged on account in Windows on my computer. Only in the browser the user is logging in with his credentials. I don't have this problem when using this Document Library.

Closing an application and web browser at same time at runtime

Does anyone have any ideas of code that addresses that problem of closes the web browser at runtime when the application closes?
I've been converted about 140+ forms and 300+ reports to 10g from 6i client/server and I've got all the forms converted but now that I've got it up on a website at runtime, I'm documenting all these application issues that I just haven't had time to research.
It sounded like I do write some Java Beans, based on some threads I've read. But I didn't fully understand.
Any help is appreciated.

Ok, I was able to do it when I hard-coded to the http://servername:port in the web.show_document. My question is: I have a windows and Linux (Development and Test server). All 3 are different servers. How can I make it to where I don't have to hard-code the server name. I've put the html page in the ORACLE_HOME/forms/java folder. The application and web browser closes just fine when I hard-code the server name in the web.show_document command. Is there a way I can get around this where I don't have to hard-code the name, but still access it from the same path on all 3 servers?

Fonts displaying in strange characters in Email and Web Browser

Myself and my creative director (on two different computers) are seeing strange characters in our email clients and web browser. He uses Entourage for Email and I use Thunderbird. We both use Firefox for a web browser.
This does not happen with every email or with every web page, what could it be?

as I told you, turn on parental controls on their accounts. then you can control which sites they are allowed to visit and parental controls also save a log of every site they visit. your kids won't be able to delete that log. only an admin user can do that.
parental controls are turned on in system preferences->parental controls.

How can I open multiple instances of the same folder and web browser in different desktops in Lion?

I've selected "none" for association but it doesn't work. In other words, I have a Dropbox folder on my desktop. I'd like to be able to open that same folder using the same shortcut on different Lion desktops. However, whenever I try to use the same shortcut on a different desktop, it switches to the one where it's already open. Same problem with web browsers; if I try to just click on a web browser to create a new window, it will take me back to the other desktop.
I didn't have this problem before I had to replace my hard drive and update everything again. I am aware of the "restart Finder" option as well as associating programs with individual desktops. All of the things in question are currently selected as "none."
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I just set Safari's option to None. That is I right clicked on the dock, selected options, and chose none. Also, in Mission Control's tab of System Preferences I clicked Off When switching to an application, switch to a space with open windows for that application. That let me open a new Safari window no matter what desktop I was in. But I had to do both. Just setting the desktop option to none didn't seem to do it. Finder seems to work okay with just the none option set.

Streaming playlists and Web Browser

Hi guys,
I have installed two mp3 streaming servers on my home LAN, Jinzora http://www.jinzora.org/ and Ampache http://www.ampache.org/ , both of them use PHP.
I use the S60 Web Browser to download the playlists thru their web interfaces. Playlists are in PLS format, so S60 Internet Radio is able to play them.
The problem I am having is that Web Browser downloads the playlists as playlist.php and is unable to autoplay them. I have to rename the file to playlist.pls in e:\shoutcast and only then I can play the file in Internet Radio.
There are no problems when downloading mp3s, they are downloaded and then automatically played in Music Player.
The problem seems to be in Internet Browser, because on the other PCs, Firefox and Internet Explorer download playlists as playlist.pls
Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there some hidden config I can set? Should I wait for an updated Web Browser / Internet Radio release?

The way this is supposed to be done in Web Cache is by keeping separate copies of a cached page for different types of browsers distinguished by User-Agent header.
In case of cache miss, Web Cache expects origin servers to return appropriate version of the page based on browser type, and the page from the origin server is just forwarded back to browser.
Here, if the page is cacheable, Web Cache retains a separate copy for each type of User-Agent header value.
And when there is a hit on this cached page, Web Cache returns the version of page with the User-Agent header that matches the request.
Check out the config screen titled "Header Association" for this feature.
About forwarding requests to different origin servers based on User-Agent header value, Web Cache does not have such capability.

How to set default file browser and web browser

I am using openbox as the window manager and don't have a desktop environment.
My file browser is pcmam file manager and my web browser is chromium.
I add
export BROWSER=/usr/bin/pcmanfm
in .bashrc so that the system uses pcman file manager to open a local file from an external application. But it will also uses pcman file manager to open a url. I want the url opened in chromium, but chromium doesn't let me set the default web browser (as the picture shows blow).:(
What shall deal with it?

After some hours of persistent puzzling I finally figured out how to make Thunderbird/Lanikai open URIs in Chromium instead of Firefox in the XFCE desktop environment.
In fact I found two solutions that both work.
1) The straightforward solution: make some changes to Thunderbird/Lanikai's prefs.js
Add two string variables:
string: network.protocol-handler.app.ftp; value: exo-open
string: network.protocol-handler.app.http; value: exo-open
string: network.protocol-handler.app.https; value: exo-open
and importantly: change the values of the Boolean variables network.protocol-handler.warn-external.ftp network.protocol-handler.warn-external.http and network.protocol-handler.warn-external.https to 'true'.
It turns out that for some unclear reason the standard Arch Linux Thunderbird/Lanikai package uses gnome-open to open URLs. The persistent popping up of Firefox was caused by some settings in .gconf that come with the gconfd package. I didn't find these values in gconf-editor.
2) Change xml files in .gconf
As I don't want to use Firefox as standard browser any longer, I wanted to get rid of these hidden settings in .gconfd so that "gnome-open [URI]" opens a webpage in Chromium.
I succeeded in getting there by replacing firefox with chromium in the following files:
.gconf/desktop/gnome/applications/browser/%gconf.xml
.gconf/desktop/gnome/url-handlers/chrome/%gconf.xml
.gconf/desktop/gnome/url-handlers/ftp/%gconf.xml
.gconf/desktop/gnome/url-handlers/http/%gconf.xml

E-mail and Web browser not working

Hi all:
I have a 8320 v45.5.0.81 platform 2.7.0.78 on the T-mobile network.
My phone is not currently receiving emails or I cannot access the internet via the web browser.
I can access via t-zones.
When using the web browser, I get the following message unable to connect to the internet, please try again later. if the problem persists please contact your service provider.
I tried removing the battery and reinstalling, it did not help
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi all,
Has anybody implemented and email client and a web browser for MHP 1.0.2?
Are there open source tools to help me on the implementation on these applications, like a Jave email client and a Java web browser that I can convert easily to MHP?
What Java classes I need to use to implement the email and browser?
Does any STB in the market support MHP 1.1?

thanksI have NetBeans 3.3 installed, but I don't think it makes such a big difference. Here it is:
1) Go to Tools menu and pick Options
2) In the Options window, expand category called "Server and External Tool Settings"
3) Expand sub-category "Web Browsers"
4) For "External Browser (Windows)" set the property called "Browser Executable" to the path to your browser
Example taken from my machine :
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe -nohome
5) Move to category "Building" (which is at the same level as "Server and External Tool Settings"). Expand it.
6) Choose sub-category "JSP & Servlet"
7) Set property "Web Browser" to "External Browser (Windows)"
8) Close the "Options" window.
Now it should work.

I recently got an Ipod Touch as a gift and can't seem to update to the new software update because it is saying Itunes can't connect to Ipod server due to lack of connection or something like that. What can I do ? My next question is in web browsing on Safari, how can I download a plugin that is needed on a site , for example: Disney.com , any suggestions ? .

E72 fw 031 and web browser

Hi, whit this fw the web browser crash and the opera mobile is very slow.

I was used to switch beteween silent and normal modes using long press on ctrl key
with the new version the long press switches to a mode then switch back to the previous mode with the same long press

G5 Crashes when using iTunes and web browser

On a fairly consistent basis, my G5 will lock up if I'm listening to music in iTunes while using my web browser. It doesn't matter if I'm using Safari or FireFox, and it doesn't matter what music I'm listening to.
It also sometimes happens if I'm using Dreamweaver.
The music just stops playing and it sounds as if iTunes is stuck on a song, kind of like our old LPs used to do when the needle got stuck. The only solution is a hard reboot.
Any suggestions?

Apple is testing iOS 6.0.1 to fix these issues&stability improvements. I have iPod touch 4th gen too, and it is pretty bad for me too. The best way to get Apps&Games on your iPod touch is to sync it with your computer using iTunes v. 10.7. Let me know if you have any other questions!
