N95-1 (V21.0.016) get slower & slower ...?

i used only Sandisk 4GB sdhc card , used up 2,885kb card memory, available card memory is 993kb...phone memory around 100MB. Every time i on my N95-1 (v21.0.016) , i hav to wait abt 10 minutes to get the phone totally boot up to menu...i installed quite a number of games in card memory, now my RAM available when just boot up left 25MB instead of 28MB ...is this more Games will causing this problems? I also installed more than 1,500 mp3 songs in card memory but i don think this will cause the problem..Now i wonder i copy my 4GB data to Sandisk 8GB card will hang my N95-1 if i save more content in 8GB card? anyone can help?

This is characteristic of installing applications and themes to the mass memory. Do not to that.
Once the phone has started up next time, uninstall all the applications and themes on your memory card and install them in the phone's central memory.

I used Sandisk 4GB SDHC card with my N95-1 V21.0.016, currently had all my mp3, MV,internet links, photos, wallpapers, software, & games all installed in this 4GB card except "Yahoo Go" in phone memory (as advised by Yahoo), my 4GB card available memory is around 890MB left with 2,989MB used for the above. i found out that original Nokia apllication like "WLAN" icon, "Dictionary" icon, "Search" icon already HIDE in phone ...coz when i go to assign shortcut item, i found there are still exist & still can be assigned shortcut in navigation button but it won't shown in phone menu...anybody know why? I can say that it is pretty good to start a fresh upgrade firmware like V21.0.016 for N95-1 with fresh installing ie not RESTORE from previous firmware back up data...but we had thounand of valuable data ..so what can we do? So when think of this important data , we r sure to restore bac. Once restore sometime depends LUCK..If lucky enough all data restored is OK & workable but not all the time is so good..I already reformat V21.0.016 three times but there is some problem must be happen....tired !

Something you are installing. Some third party application is causing this problem.
Try NOT installing all those games and other applications or install one by one until you find which one is causing the problem.

N95-1 V21.0.016 CANNOT READ MEMORY CARD WITH PREVI...

After i done my upgrade for my N95-1 fr V12.0.014 to latest V21.0.016, everything seem fast & good with the formatted standard 1GB micro Sd card..but when restore phone memory setting (which were previously bac up thru latest PC Suite mode to PC), it restore very slow...nevermind coz a lot of activation key, licence key to be put into phone, after 3 hrs only successfully restored just the setting...phone auto ask for restart now...terrible nightmare happen...my phone became very very slow to respond...nevermind coz 1st time restart...after wait i think half an hr, only can move the menu smoothly...to my BIG SUPRISE ! when i off my phone & restart 2nd time...it wait even longer ...abt more than 20 minute to start the phone...after that seem like hang . WHAT IS THIS , NOKIA ! U DID NOT TEST ON RESTORE ALSO CAUSING PROBLEM TOO, PLS REALLY SOFT OUT WHY SUCH PROBLEM HAPPEN IN THIS LATEST V21 ??? WHAT FOR NOKIA ASK OUR USER TO UPGRADE ?

N95-1 V21.0.016 WITH 8GB MICRO SDHC CARD ?

Any one hav used n95-1 with latest version V21.0.016 8GB micro SDHC card up to more than 50% of the card capacities? any problems of slow response or other kind of problems? Which brand is better? Sandisk or Kingston or ? pls help! thanks

I think the answer is just that prices are quickly dropping, especially on newer models, and the "class 4" prices are just "old" prices of items already in stock.
The italian online-shop site I was browsing (a reliable site, AFAIK), looking for the card, sells "class 4" for 39,49 euros and "class 6" for 35,89 euros.
And it seems they just retouched the higher price: just a couple of days ago, on the same site, "class 4" model price was about 45 euros! I think now they are trying to sell all "class 4" they have in stock, whereas they say they have no "class 6" in stock at the moment (I could just order it).

N95-1 V21.0.016 MAKE APPLICATIONS DOWNLOAD FAIL !

I notice that this V21 in my N95-1 make my application/software/games installed in difficulty ! sometimes some games & application just cannot be installed properly...but it "eating my memory card memory". I do check my application manager but suprise to know that application not installed but memory already being occupied ! If some games successful installed but it really take times to installed ! Previously i was using N95 with V12.0.014..no such problem at all...install anything is so fast & no system "crash" with same application or games as now...It seem like phone system have to travel a long "circle" only can get thing done , worse still sometime is out of installation after long "travelling".
I really sad with this firmware V21.0.016 with N95-1 released ......

N95-1 V21.0.016 Major BUGS

Mainly relating to the microSD card Reader. And MusicPlayer.
When adding album art it is 100% sure to crash the phone.
i have saved JPG images of each album in each folder for the MP3's
Using this method of adding them it works ok during the adding stage and displays them ok once done.
1) In Music Player's 'Album' list, highlight each one in turn and use 'Options>Album art'.
2)Use 'Options>Change' and pick the appropriate cover from the displayed gallery. You'll be asked if it's OK to change the image for all tracks in the album.
This stage works fine. the problem is when you go back and try to view the added album art. the whole phone locks up and after a while will restart itself. It never shows the album art. (worth saying the average size of each image is 47k)
Also when playing a MP3 from a folder with added Album art. the mp3 plays for a Split second then stops and the phone locks up.
Acces to the card is also disabled at this stage and trying to access the card gives General: System Error! message. Only solution . Power off phone remove battery for a few minutes. remove memory card. Re-insert memory card re-insert battery and re-start phone.
this fault is 100% repeatable. it does it every time.
Also when playing MP3's the phone will randomly stop playing Audio but still plays the file. Pausing the track and unpausing returns the Audio. At other times the phone locks up and again bars access to the sd card with above error.
I have tried this with various SD Cards so i know it is not the Actual card at fault. In anycase the cards work flawlessly on my Nokia 6300.
Oh also worth noting that the microSD cards are the 1gig versions. I will be buying a 4 gig card soon as well but i doubt that that will solve the issue.

Can't say I've noticed the album art bug (none of my MP3 files have album art anyway) but I don't experience the music stopping or anything like that. What you're describing could actually be a faulty card reader.
I have, however, isolated and documented one bug to do with the SIP phone application and provided a workaround:

N95-1 V21.0.016 RAM IS IT 28MB ?

when i just on my phone , i check on my active file that is only 25mb with my 4gb sandisk card without open any programme in the phone first. I wonder 3mb space disappeared ? coz after i upgraded FW ,i insert nokia std 1gb card, it really show 28mb ram but now with restoration of setting, mp3 song, mv ,theme bra bra...ram reduced according, seem not make sense ! anyone can help ?

N95 camera problem v21.0.016

Need help!!! After updating my N95 into v21.0.016, the quality of the camera degraded... I don't know if its the flash.... the flash still flashes but seems that it doesn't have any effect in the image.... TO explain further, I'll give an example: Before, when I take a picture on newspapers or books, I can clearly read the letters printed on it, but now, after upgrading, it's blurred, I can't barely read the letters....
The only good side of this upgrade is that the battery life increases... But still, it really sucks... I want my original camera quality back...

try updating again....im guessing u did a data restore?
instead of doing a data restore try dragging all ur data onto ur desktop and use the same method to replace the data to ur phone......rather than doing a backup
also try to reformat your memory card(this will delete all your data) so make sure u save everything u want via a drag and drop to desktop method
after uve saved everything reinstall the fw

N95-1 FW V21.0.016 query...pls help!!!

Yes I have problems too, I backed it up, charged it, connected to Nokia Charger with Nokia supplied memory in. Half way through it said error, remove battery and power, reapply and push power switch. Then it said it was disconnected but it was not and it has been dead ever since. I have tried other usb slots, battery only, battery and another charger.
One thing though. With battery only at least it vibrates when you push the power switch. Add the charger and it does not. Also on battery only, a few devices momentarily show up as being connected, just to vanish again.
I have a feeling it is dead now as it just sits saying nokia.

N95 & Auto-Rotate Function in V21.0.016

Wife & I both have new N95's RM-159 from 3.
Firmware Version is V21.0.016 as mentioned in subject line.
What neither phone seems to have is the auto-rotate function. After hours of searcing I've been unbale to find out why with this version of the firmware this isn't supported on these phones. Under Display settings no mention of auto-rotate. I've checked software updater & am told the FW is the latest revision.
Do I need to install the accelerometer plugin to get this function to work as you have to do with rotateMe(c)Samir?
Any help would be appreciated before I ring 3 customer services and ask them why it isn't supported.

Your phones are normal.
The N95 doesn't have that function as part of it's firmware. Only the N95 8GB has had this feature added in the v20 firmware.
The firmware on the N95 is not the same as the firmware on the N95 8GB.
It is rumoured that the feature will be in the next firmware release for the N95 which is due in the next few months.
So the only way to get auto rotate on the old N95 is to install a program like rotateme.

now after get my N95-1 upgraded to latest V21.0.016, i hav to on my phone without memory card insered first only can start my phone smoothly...after thst i put my memory card by way of "hotswap" into the phone...if i just on my phone with memory card in, u all know my phone will wait until 10 to 15 minutes to boot up & access menu...when press *#0000# or *#06#, the phone will not shown the details, but if i on my phone without memory card, it will show ...my 4GB memory card is no problems at all...moreover i only restore setting to my phone & all my file were saved to memory card...this indicate there is firmware system hav problem in boot up to get access to memory card...pls pls solve this serious bugi..u know my memory card always swap in & out will spoil 1t !

I understand your predicament... Its awful 2 experience such a thing.
By the way, i am also using n95 v21 and a sandisk 4gb card.
If i understand it right, after you updated your firmware, you restored the back up settings. And you also mentioned that problem only occurs when you are inserting the memory card.
It doesn't necessarily mean that your memory card is faulty. When i still have v12 and i updated it to v20, i was using a 2gb and it happened to me, so what I did was 2 copy the files stored in my memory card to computer, put back mmc to n95, format mmc and then manually copy back my files from computer to n95/mmc. And it worked for me!

Battery indicator on N95 v21.0.016

Hello all:
Ever since I updated to the new v21.0.016 firmware, the battery indicator on my N95 acts kind of strange.
For two days it shows a full charge (seven bars) and suddenly, in less than a couple of hour, goes down from seven bars to one bar (no WIFI, no bluetooth, no calls).
Has anyone experienced the same?. It looks like an annoying bug in the new firmware...

I'd like to update my status. After the upgrade to version 21, the phone couldn'd be connected to the pc too. I got it to a NCC and they said that the phone's board had a problem and had to be sent abroad to nokia to replace it... I'd like to add the following too. At NCC I was told that the update that nokia provides through Nokia Update Manager is not the actual update. If we want to update the phone we will have to take it at a NCC because the update they have is three times bigger in size and it's the full one. (v21 is 166MB through NUM, and the update the NCC has is about 300). When I asked why is this happening they said: "If the full update was provided over the net, then there wouldn't be any reason for the NCC to exit". That's a shame. This conversation took place in Greece. I don't know what other NCC say, or if this is the policy of Nokia in order to get money (they said that the update would cost me 15,5 Euros).
PS The phone was bought 3 months ago, but if they "thought" that i had updated the phone through other software (?) I would have to pay for the actual update anyway....

For what it's worth, you posted this in 2011, and here in 2014 I am still having this same issue. Over the last two days, I have had to unlock my apple account 8 times. I didn't get any new devices. I haven't initiated a password reset. I didn't forget my password. I set up two factor authentication and have been able to do the unlocking with the key and using a code sent to one of my devices.
That all works.
It's this having to unlock my account every time I go to use any of my devices. And I have many: iMac, iPad, iPad2, iPad mini, iPhone 5s, iPod touch (daughter), and my old iPhone 4 being used as an ipod touch now. They are all synced, and all was working just fine.
I have initiated an incident with Apple (again) but I know they are just going to suggest I change my Apple ID. It's a simple one, and one that I am sure others think is theirs. I don't want to change it. I shouldn't have to. Apple should be able to tell me who is trying to use it, or at least from where.
