N95 8GB cannot view gallery photos/ uploads photos...

I have had the same problem with my N95 8GB with viewing photos in my gallery!
I have now got my 5th replacement handset (Orange) since August 29th due to various faults and issues. The main one being trying to transfer photos from my PC to my mobile via the Nokia PC Suite or just via USB cable. Both of which when I try to then go into the gallery view on the phone caused it to freeze. Unable to view any images!
This keeps happening, and I have even tried running the 'N series installation disk' and still the same issues. I thought that such a good spec phone with 8GB memory would be able to hand just 2 jpeg images without freezing!
Has anyone else had the same problem or am I just unlucky? I have got up to date anti virus software on my PC, and have tried different images each time. My previous phone (n95) was able to upload and export pics and music to my PC no problems ever!

Well I have tried to just loads 2 images from the laptop onto my mobile. I have tried doing a direct file transfer (mass media) and then also tried through Nokia PC suite-uploaded via the CD rom I was given.On both occasions this has been uncessful to view images from the gallery menu on the phone..crashes!
I think the photos are actually on the phone under the file manager folder I can find them stored here. However on opening the gallery to try and view these files, the phone freezes and I am unable to exit the menu -using the 'back' button have to press the red phone cancel button. Once out of the gallery folder and back to the main screen I can then no longer access and shortcut menus for about 3mins. Very frustrating. The most recent phone I have now, I got 2 days ago-I've not even plugged into my laptop, and when asking a friend to send me images via bluetooth I cannot open this either!! (it comes as a text format from bluetooth) and on opening the phone just freezes again. I try to save this when asked to mass memory and not phone memory.
I can take images on my 'phone camera' but again cannot view as unable to access the gallery-constantly freezes the phone.The images are not a large file just jpeg format for example 45KB another one I tried was much larger 1MB...
I still don't understand why this is happening all the time!!! Many thanks for your help.... (Orange are going to send me a new sim card to try) and see if this helps.

Cannot view 90% of my photos in "iPhoto" for iOS

Key among my MANY gripes with this "iPhoto" for iOS is that I cannot use it to edit photos unless they are in the camera roll or in an event or album. Crucially in the list of photos around 90% of the photos on my iPad are missing. This is because they are synced onto it from the REAL iPhoto for mac using the faces / places features. The iOS atrocity doesn't see them whatsoever.
This is NOT iPhoto. Why couldn't you have called it iPicEffects and not sullied the wonderful Mac app with this awful, gimmicky, unintuitive excuse for an app.
Please fix it, pull it or at least promise to not ruin the Mac version. Please.

when you upgrade iPhoto you do not import anything - you launch the new version and it upgrades the library
the best solution is to restore your backup of the iPhoto library from before you did the import (or what ever you did which is not clear), verify it is in your pictures folder and launch iPhoto

Uploading photos, Uploading photos

With the latest version of iTunes, you have made it very difficult to upload photos. The photo tab across the top of the webpage did not show a "photo" tab. Finally, after searching on Google, I found a solution. When are you going to return this to a more user friendly option? The current view is anything but!

Most of the people on these forums, including myself, are fellow users - you're not talking to iTunes Support here.
You can enable the left-hand sidebar in the current version of iTunes via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC - that should make it look similar to previous versions. Is that what you mean ?
Or do you mean that your iTunes wasn't wide enough for it to fit on the screen ?

N95 8GB - cannot connect to PC

Hi - read about this problem from a few people - I have just got a brand new N95 8GB from O2. Installed the cd software but it would just not find the phone using the USB.
Ive tried different USB cables and ports to no avail.
Ive uninstalled the software from the CD and installed the latest software suite. no joy.
Ive set the phone to Phone Suite as opposed to mass data. No joy.
Ive connected my Blackberry to the same usb cable and port and it connects fine.
What is the issue here?? Anyone help?!

try going to your control panel > add/remove programs
look for an application named PC connectivity solution and select Change > Repair

N95 8GB - Cannot delete any music files ??

I have install some music, but have tried deleting them, via the Nokia PC Suite, and via the phone and via PC windows explorer.
But nothing happens.
You get the 'files being deleted' message, but the phone just seems to die. You then have to switch off and on again. And no files have been deleted.

i had the same issue with my e90 and my n900.
the only way i was able to get rid of them was to connect to my pc via cable and then delete from my pc.
give it a try. see if that helps you.

N95 8gb - Appointment view in standby mode

Please can someone help me. I use the calander option heavily on my n95 8gb phone. I have read somewhere that in standby mode it is supposed to display the next 3 appointments over the next 48 hours. Mine only shows one. Where do I set this up and how can I configure it? On a similar subject (I'm sure it is in the same place) how can I disply my to-do's rather than just the number of them that I have to do! It's quite depressing to see the number of things I need to do rather than a prompt to do them!
I hope someone can help. I look forward to hearing from you all.

N95 8GB contacts view

On previous Nokias I have been able to change the way a contact is displayed (ie. just as a name or name & number).
I can't seem to find a way of changing this on my N95 8GB.
Anyone help please??

hey, i just looking for the same thing as also on my previews nokia i was able to copy and paste text from contacs names ,links,msgs,anything i would want.Or when you trying to sent a msg there was an option for recent receiptien contacs and you dident need to look again for the contacts names ,but on N95 8GB nothing from all this is available ,ok is a very good device and very usefull but some futures i think it would be neccesary to be preinstall it on such good device. if anyones knows any additional applications or any updates to have again this extras on N95 8GB it would be very helpfull.thanks

Why I cannot view any of my photo from my new iphone 5c, even though I took a lot of photos?

I lost my iphone 4 and just bought iphone 5c, after back up all contact from iCloud I got only contact number and some e- mail.
However, I got a problem to view my new photos. I took a lot of photos but I show 0 and nothing to be able to review.
Please advise, it is strange as you have camera to take but not recording at all.

Just to be sure I understand your situation - you take a new photo and it does not appear in the Photos app, is that correct?
Your post also mentions doing a backup (or do your really mean you did a restore from a backup) - but my reply is really focused on taking new photos; not seeing them is very unusual.

Unable to view, modify, or upload photos on many websites

I am unable to view pictures on several websites and am unable to upload pictures to our website when editing the web page. Unable to see picture when uploaded by another user on same page.

Many thanks to all of you who replied , Well I have never had this problem before with down or up loading mail via Pop 3 to my Google , GMX and O2 email accounts until towards the end of last month , First I notice I could not receive or send emails then I noticed I could not even conect to the internet .Yes I could connect to the router Which is a FORTH TOT Fiber link but that works fine . My desk is about 5 feet from the router were I also have my Lap Top which works fine also my Smart TV connects to the router and can down and up load mail this is how I found out that the Black Berry was not work . I can connect to the Router with the Black Berry and connect to Google or Yahoo but the pop3 link just wont work . So I went to a few other places near my office and tried there WiFiand it was the same it was the same no pop3 forwarding so the problem is the network or the phone . So I reinstall new firmware this was 7.1.0 Bundle 2061and like you say reloading service books but its still the same .Which brings me to think is it the net work .I live in the south of Thailand and been down here since 95 but I think this may have to wait until I return to the UK next year . But its very strange . As for not being able to connect to O2 from thailand well its now working again as before I could only get access useing a VPN . Nokia N95 8gb cannot hear anything when I call out...

When making calls to other mobiles I cannot hear the ringing or the other person but they can hear me. This is very frustrating and costs me a lot of money because it takes four calls to get it to work correctly.
I have tried switching to loud speaker and that does not work. I have the latest software.
There is no noise at all, no ringing, no talking from the other side. The person on the other side can definately hear me though.
It is weird because it works fine on the third or fourth try.
Please help, I dont want to send my phone away to be repaired unless necessary.

you might want to try the following 1st...
re-start your phone, just turn it off and turn it on again
if that doesnt help then you can try this more drastic measure, but 1st make a backup of your phone's content by going to the memory card and make backup and/or use Nokia PC suite to make a backup, then try the Soft Reset or Hard-Reset: Remember to backup specially for hard-reset, all your phone's content will be erased.
FOR SOFT-RESET:
- at Standby Screen type-in => *#7780#
It will ask for “Restore all phone settings-phone’ll restart….”
Then it asks for security code enter factory default => 12345
FOR HARD-RESET:
- at Standby Screen type-in => *#7370#
It will ask for “Restore all phone settings-phone’ll restart….”
Then it asks for security code enter factory default => 12345
if this doesnt help contact Nokia Care Point-> http://europe.nokia.com/A4388379
if you are not comfortable with the hard-reset and it is easy for you to go to the nearest Nokia Care Point, then just go there for help...

Uploading photos from iPhoto '11

Problem Editing/Deleting the Photos uploaded via iTunes

I uploaded some photos via iTunes to my iPad as well as my iPhone. I wanted to take advantage of the photo edito, the devices will not allow me to edit the original photo uploaded photo file. It is asking I do "Duplicate and edit" which will leave me with 2 photos of the picture (one edited and other original one) on the device! I can't delete the original photo from my iPad/iPhone using either devices. Only way I can get rid of it is by syncing it via iTunes. any suggestions?

That is how it works with photos placed on the phone via iTunes sync -- to remove them you sync again using the instructions in Sync photos to your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch in iTunes - Apple Support
Another option you may want to consider to move photos from a computer to an iPhone or iPad (if you don't want to use iCloud Photo Library) is a 3rd app such as http://www.photosync-app.com/

Sorry, should've mentioned some more information. I synced the ipad to the folder of photos. The original photos had file names like "_MG_4865.jpg" and after syncing the folder in Itunes, all files were now found in a folder called "iPod Photo Cache" which was filled with many folders with labels like "F23" etc. (There were ALOT of photos.) In those folders there are several files with names like "T343.ithmb". Not a .jpg to be found and I can't view any of the photos.

When I build a web photo gallery and upload to my server, the web page as displayed by browsers is blank. With preview, insid Bridge, the slideshow works fine.

I have been building web photo galleries with Bridge for a few years and everything worked fine until my latest two builds. Now when I build a gallery and upload the folder to my web server, it's not getting displayed by browsers. When you hit the index file of the gallery, the page is blank with no written errors.
When I use the "preview in browser" feature in Bridge, the slide show works as expected.
I'm creating the gallery and saving to my local hard drive. When that's complete, I ftp the entire folder to the server and then point to the index.htm file. I've been doing this for two years with good results. All of a sudden, I can't get a gallery to display on-line.

I am experiencing the exact same problem; the gallery displays and functions perfectly when viewed locally but not when uploaded to the web server. I am wondering if it is also a Dreamweaver issue as each time I upload I receive an error report e.g. some files did not upload et cetera.
