N95 8Gb - no longer able to pair with Jabra BT8040

Hi,
Last week I was prompted to upgrade the software on my N95 8Gb after being prompted. So I backup the phone (everthing ticked) and then upgraded to software v30.0.018, 23-07-08, RM-320, Nokia N95 (94.01). The upgrade when ahead without any issues, and I restored all the settings from the backup. All was working fine as it was before contacts, data, ringtones etc, except when I when to use the Jabra BT8040 headset (which was previously working). The headset wasn't in the paired listing, so I try starting from scratch. The headset when it is turned on always goes into pairing mode, so I tried searching for it but the phone doesn see it. I have tried switching headset on first and last, tried switching to phone off completly, but it still does work!!
Just to make sure the bluetooth is still working I tried linking the phone to my laptop which worked first time.......
Can anyone help please?

Hi, I don't think the headset problem is with the phone specifically, I had a jabra headset, and from memory you need to hold one of the buttons for a few seconds till the light flashes/changes colour, then search for it with phone and pair it using either '1111' or'0000' , Check manual for headset or download from jabra website. As for sms/txt call your sevice provider and explain the problem, they can send you the settings by sms/txt and you can install from that and it should be ok. Hope this helps.

2. grabbed the software/driver update from Aug, 2010,
3. installed the Aug, 2010 update, and my problems seem to have been fixed.

Communication Failure: The computer is no longer able to communicate with your printer.

Hello, I have a HP Officejet J6480 All-in-One printer. When I try to print, I receive this error message:
"Communication Failure: The computer is no longer able to communicate with your printer. Turn the printer off, check your printer connections and check for printer errors, and turn the printer back on."
I am using a Mac PowerBook G4, OS v10.5.7. I have tried the following:
-- rebooted my Mac
-- turned printer off/on
-- rebooted wireless router
-- tried to print using USB cable.
I continue to receive the same error message. Helllllllllllllllp!!!!
A couple of other things I need to mention: I bought this printer in June and have been able to print just fine since purchasing
this printer. As recently as Friday, July 3, I was able to print and printed 6 or 7 pages then. This is CRAZY!!!!

Genius no longer able to function with certain songs

A couple of months ago I noticed that Genius was no longer able to work with certain songs that it had previously generated playlists for.
If this were for little known artists then I could understand, but it is unable to generate playlists for ACDC - Highway to ****, and other 'big' artists.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Visual Studio 2012 is no longer able to interact with any TFS server

I can connect to the on-premise TFS2012 server using the instance of VS2012 installed on the server machine as well as the instance of VS2012 installed on a coworker's machine.
I was able to interact with TFS2012 using the instance of VS2012 installed on my Win7 x64 machine, but only one time. Many reboots later, both of the server itself and my machine, I haven't been able to get VS2012 to interact properly with TFS.
When I click on "Team" and select "Connect to Team Foundation Server", the "Team Explorer" VS window opens. In that window, no matter what button or link I click on, Visual
Studio won't connect to TFS or allow me to choose a TFS server.
1. Clicking on the Home icon takes me to page with two buttons: Pending Changes & settings.
Clicking on "Pending Changes" takes me to a page where I can do 3 things: click on "no workspace" (nothing happens), click on Actions -> Open Source Control Explorer (which opens an
empty Source Control Explorer Window, from which I can do nothing), click on "Settings", which shows me a page with 4 options:
Security: clicking it results in the message "Team Foundation Error. Object reference not set to an instance of an object"
Group Membership: clicking it results in the message "Team Foundation Error. Object reference not set to an instance of an object"
Source Control: clicking it results in the message "Value cannot be null. Parameter name: serverName"

What, if anything, can I do in order to be able to get Visual Studio 2012 to interact with TFS?

I'll add that when I run devenv.exe with the flag /TFSLink, VS opens a Team Explorer window that contains the following text:

Bluetooth help pairing with Jabra BT2040

On my 8300 the bluetooth is enabled but when I ask it to pair with a new device ( Jabra BT2040 headset) it doesn't find it.
Is it because on the bluetooth options "discoverable" is set to "no" and there is a red lock symbol next to it meaning I can't change it to "yes".
Any ideas

1) I do not know if the Blackberry device has to be "discoverable" in order to work with your Jabra.
2) you can ask your IT admin why they blocked the "Bluetooth discoverability". They did that in the IT policy. Maybe it's just an error from them.

A/V Component cables no longer able to work with iPhone 1st Generation?

I purchased the Apple A/V Component cables to be able to hook my iPhone up to my stereo at work and TV at home. Before the 2.0.1 update, it worked ok. No hassles or problems what so ever. Now, after the 2.0.1 update, I can no longer use this device for what it seems it was made for. It seems that now it's a $50 iPhone charger and that's about it. Anyone know of any fix or maybe something I did to make this happen? I called Apple and they said "that's odd, it should be working" and then asked if I could bring it in.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It seems it's not just the A/V Component cables that aren't working with the new upgrade. Apparently some other people have had issues with docking stations and speaker extensions after the upgrade. Anyone?

No longer able to backup with Time Machine

I have backed up my 2.93 GHz 640 GB iMac with 4 GB of memory for years to a 1TB external drive via Time Machine. I'm using OS X version 10.7.5. I've started to run out of space on the iMac so I got a 2TB external drive to move my photos to. Before I did anything, I made sure I had multiple backups on both Time Machine and my cloud storage (Back Blaze). I had backups going back over a year. I moved my photos via Lightroom and have been able to create one successful backup but now I get an error message that there's not enough space on the 1TB to backup and only the one backup exists in Time Machine. I've run a Disk Utility on the external backup drive and there are no issues. I'm not understanding how all of a sudden I can no longer back up when I have the same amount of data, actually less since I deleted some duplicate files. And all the old backups have disappeared. I'm concerned that I only have one backup from last night. It's as though that one backup is huge. When I try to click on the folder to check the folder size, the drive keeps churning and never returns the file size. Is this a sign of a corrupted or damaged drive? Any other options or troubleshooting?

Let's try to make this less confusing:
You have a 2TB external drive for storing photos. That drive is working fine.
You have a 1TB external drive for your TM backup. That's the drive with the error message that there's insufficient space on the drive.
Now, after deleting some duplicate files, the old backups have disappeared.
I understand that you have multiple backups of your data.
If you've made multiple copies, and have the data backed up on the Cloud, wouldn't you be able to copy the Cloud copy onto your 1TB external?
Is it possible that a prior TM backup has the data you need? Are there any error messages on the 1TB external? Is the drive new? (As you probably know, drives either go bad early, or last for years.)

My wireless keyboard won't stay on long enough to pair with ipad

my wireless keyboard will not stay on long enough to be recognized with my ipad to pair it. It pairs just fine with my macbook pro (i'm using it right now to prove my point.) I bought it to use for the ipad not with the macbook. I have replaced batteries and tried the aluminum trick as well. it's obvious to me that it is not a case of it not working but why it won't work with the ipad is beyond me. Help is appreciated.

I'm having the same problem. The light on my keyboard won't stay lit. Have changed to new batteries. It used to work fine and when I opened Bluetooth this morning (I have not used the keyboard in a while) it recognized "Apple Wireless Keyboard". After trying to connect and getting an error message (tried this about a dozen times) I clicked on Forget this Device. Turned off Bluetooth and back on. Sometimes it will pull up "Keyboard" but not Apple Wireless keyboard as in the past and which is what shows on my iphone (it connects automatically). Then I thought maybe the iPhone Bluetooth was interfering with the keyboard connecting so I turned it off on the iPhone. Same issue. Shows keyboard as discoverable but will not connect. I have the ipad3 and my keyboard is only 3 or 4 months old.

ITunes no longer able to sync with Outlook

Hello,
This is my first ever post on any forum so please go easy on me.
I have an iPhone 4s, and iPad1 and run Windows7. I recently tried using iCloud but didn't like the Outlook calendar (appearance or speed) so wanted to go back to just syncing via my USB cable.
I have followed all steps on here, restoring the iPhone, removing and reinstalling iTunes completely (5 times now) and my phone and iPad will no longer sync, they just sit in never land at either backing up calendar or contacts (I have tried leaving them on for hours at a time). I have now lost my calendar and all of the music off the iPhone so hoping for a solution.
I have heard iTunes no longer supports syncing via iTunes, they want you to use iCloud but can't find anything definitive on this but it would explain why I can't get this to work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I feel like I have tried everything.

Have you tried using Google's sync services that are free yet? It sounds to me like you are not using Exchange for your iPhone with work. So, that would leave it open to use with Google. Keep your Google sync with your work calendar (Outlook), then sync up the Google Calendar with iCal so you have the calendar at home. Separately, setup your iPhone to sync real-time with your Google Calendar using the Microsoft Exchange settings. If all you are trying to do is get your one calendar to be the same everywhere, that will do it and it's all free. Here are links to instructions:

HP C4580: Communication Failure: The computer is no longer able to communicate with your printer.

Hi,
After having successfully set up the C4580 and run some test printouts which were all very satisfactory, this morning the above message appeared.
The error message box suggests to "Turn the printer off, check your printer connections and check for printer errors, and turn the printer back on."
I tried this, but I'm still unable to print. Any suggestions? By the way my computer is a Mac if this helps.

IPhone 4s no longer able to sync with iTunes

My iPhone 4s seems to be going through the motions of synchronising and I haven't had any synch issues prior to now but I can no longer transfer files to the phone. iTunes is showing my phone and contents in the sidebar but every time I try to synch a digital movie download (from Paramount and specifically downloaded for iTunes to and to play on all Apple devices) and a music track ripped from one of my cd's I receive a notification with either 'iPhone locked' or 'not recognised.' I have tried sending the files both via iTunes and My Document files and also synchronising from the phone itself. I have also un-authorised and re-authorised my laptop but am now at a loss as what else to try I have tried searching the communities but have been unsuccessful so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I also had this issue since updating to iTunes 12. My phone was not showing up in "devices" at all, yet it was syncing to iPhoto just fine. What ended up fixing the issue for me was turning both my phone and computer off and back on again, and unplugging any other USB devices so that only my phone was the one connected. It then synced just fine.
FYI, I am running iOS 7.1.2 on an iPhone 5

WSUS errors - no longer able to sync with MS

Our environment is SCCM 2012 R2 CU1. We have a primary site server with local SQL (2012) on a Windows 2012 R2 server. We also have WSUS and the SUP on this server as well.
Permissions were changed on the C:\Program Files\Update Services folder. TrustedInstaller was the owner. This was changed, which in turn "broke" WSUS. The permission was restored back to TrustedInstaller. Unfortunately,
there were other permission changes as well. Subfolders under the C:\Program Files\Update Services have domain\Domain Admins as the owner.
Due to these changes, I can no longer sync with MS for updates. There are also multiple errors for the SMS_WSUS_CONFIGURATION_MANAGER, SMS_WSUS_CONTROL_MANAGER and the SMS_WSUS_SYNC_MANAGER.
In the wcm.log file, the errors are:

The SUP WSUS configuration is set to use ports 8530/8531. We do not have "Require SSL communication to the WSUS server" selected.
We do have both "Use a proxy server when synchronizing software updates" and "Use a proxy server when downloading content by using automatic deployment rules" selected.
We do not use a WSUS connection account.
If I open the WSUS console, I cannot connect to the server at all.
In IIS, under the WSUS Administration site, the bindings are set to http-8530, https-8531. Authentication for the site has the "Anonymous Authentication" enabled.
I'm trying to restore the permissions and get WSUS working again without having to un-and re-install.
Is there a document which outlines the permissions needed for the C:\Program Files\Update Services folder(s)?

Unfortunately, what I've found is that you cannot remove WSUS and leave the DB (at least in Server 2012 R2).
So the only option is backup the SUSDB, remove WSUS and the DB, reinstall with a new DB, then restore/replace with the "original" SUSDB.

Not no longer able to sync with Outlook

I recently upgraded to Windows 7 on my computers.
Ever since, I have not been able to sync on any of my computers with my storm.
An error message of "No available messages stores" comes up when trying to set up the sync parameters.
Does anyone know what this means and or is it a Windows 7 issue????

No longer able to fax with 10.5.8 iMac

Suddenly, I am unable to send a fax. Earlier today I was able to go the fax queue where it showed the fax was being printed and waiting for the internal modem to become available which never happened. Prior to that I was able to send a fax. Now, the document I wish to fax doesn't even show up in the fax queue. I have restarted my computer to no avail and I have also unplugged and replugged my internet connection.

Same issue with me. I use my iMac G5 as my workhorse and it does a great job. Apple doesn't need to turn it's back on the older PowerMacs for the simple fact they are old. I worked for Apple a million years ago and this was their strategy then. It would be nice if a couple of software engineers would look at the code of 10.5.3 versus 10.5.8 and figure out were the comm issue is. This is not a closed issue and does not need to be closed until a true solution is implemented and not a work-a-round that kinda works.
