I received my N95 8Gb phone via 3 with a promotional deal of the Spiderman 3 movie already installed. Unfortunately the movie was not pre-loaded onto my phone. Your Nokia service team (UK) advised me to contact 3, who told me to contact Nokia. Nokia then told me to contact a Nokia service centre to have my phone flashed at level 3. The service centre said they could not do this. After 3 weeks the Nokia service team then again told me to go to a service centre and pay to have a Level 3 flashed on my phone at my own time and expense. I don't think this level of service is satisfactory.

Your problem is with three, they have either removed the movie from the phone (they often remove or lock features) or are supplying the version that doesn't include it.
N95 8GBs that are supplied with the movie have it pre-installed and are supplied in spiderman branded boxes. It is never supplied as a separate download.
At the end of day it's only a movie, you can buy it for £5 and transfer it to the phone with a bit of free software if you want it that badly.

I upgrade my phone via itune and now i got the msg on my phone "activating your iphone in 3 minutes......could not activate your iphone" i've iphone 3gs. Can somebody suggest what am i suppose to do to make it work

Upgraded to N95 8GB. So far so good, then !!!. Came back from hols to link with PC to find that the CD drive and DVD drive will not read the disc which came with the phone. PC will still read other discs but not the Nokia disc. What is the disc format and can I get what is on the disc elsewhere?
It's probably just a damaged disc. You can download the PC Suite software from www.nokia.com/pcsuite, as far as I know you can't get replacement CDs.

Existing Nokia Car Kit MCC4 & N95 8GB phone

I've bought a car with embedded Nokia Car Kit MCC4, which was designed for old Nokia 3310 & 3330 phones. I have Nokia N958GB.
Can I use the existing connectors (with adequate adapters of course) and expect that I can use the car kit as expected?
I was planing to use existing wires and make some changes:
1. HOLDER: replace the phone holder with one taht fits my new phone
2. CHARGER: plug in charger adapter to fit new standard
3. AUDIO: plug in 2,5mm female to 3,5mm male stereao audio jack adapter

Just taken delivery of my N95 from Vodafone, so far so good. Some questions about managing and importing contact data
* How do I get to a phone editor like the one in the old PC Suite 4 (PE 4.5), to manage and edit contacts?
* What's the best way to import contacts backed up from my old 6310i, which has now died. They are in .ncc files, and I can also extract them as csv or Excel files by opening backup files in Wordpad.
I found an earlier topic from November 2007 but can't find the editor under 'My Computer', just the 'phone and camera and their folders showing as USB storage devices.

Your best bet is to use Outlook and enter all the contacts there then use Nokia PC Sync to transfer the contacts.
Outlook should be able to read the csv or excel file of your old contacts so that should be ok.

I am mot sure if it works, on mine I usually slide it closed but then the call window just stays there for a while then eventually becomes transparent and then drops...
So not sure if my phone ended the call or the other person did...
As a precaution I just hit the red key all the time now.

i think this is okay, +1 is just the country code, and almost all of my numbers have it too. it shouldnt affect your ability to text. something else might be going on.

Why am I being tod that my storage is full when my Icloud account only has 2.8gigs used?
Apple will send out emails when it calculates your allocation is close to or has been used up. This can occur even when for example, you have initiated a backup but not completed it, others appear to have noted it can occur when moving large amounts of iCloud email around from folder to folder, the email is sent when the space to be used is calculated.
The best way to manage your allocation is to use system preferences > iCloud > manage, on your Mac or settings > iCloud > backup & storage > manage , on your mobile device. From here you can view how much of your allocated space is in use and what for, as well as removing any unwanted data. -
N95 8Gb - no longer able to pair with Jabra BT8040

Last week I was prompted to upgrade the software on my N95 8Gb after being prompted. So I backup the phone (everthing ticked) and then upgraded to software v30.0.018, 23-07-08, RM-320, Nokia N95 (94.01). The upgrade when ahead without any issues, and I restored all the settings from the backup. All was working fine as it was before contacts, data, ringtones etc, except when I when to use the Jabra BT8040 headset (which was previously working). The headset wasn't in the paired listing, so I try starting from scratch. The headset when it is turned on always goes into pairing mode, so I tried searching for it but the phone doesn see it. I have tried switching headset on first and last, tried switching to phone off completly, but it still does work!!
Just to make sure the bluetooth is still working I tried linking the phone to my laptop which worked first time.......
Can anyone help please?
Thanks, FCHi, I don't think the headset problem is with the phone specifically, I had a jabra headset, and from memory you need to hold one of the buttons for a few seconds till the light flashes/changes colour, then search for it with phone and pair it using either '1111' or'0000' , Check manual for headset or download from jabra website. As for sms/txt call your sevice provider and explain the problem, they can send you the settings by sms/txt and you can install from that and it should be ok. Hope this helps.

Last night I cleared my N95 8Gb of all the music and tranferred some new albums with Nokia Music afterwards. Now I'm not able to select any song or sound effect from my music collection as ringtone anymore!!
I can select a song in Music Player and set it as ringtone but I cannot go via settings and browse my MP3's... The same goes for message tones: I'm only able to select the standard **bleep** ringtones and none of the sound effects I uploaded as MP3 using Nokia Music.
I beginning to be amazed at how **bleep** Nokia Music can possibly be: before, everything worked like a charm and I was totally pleased with my N95 8Gb but now I can't even do the most basic things due to this piece of junk that Nokia calls Nokia Music...I have a similar problem (N95-1). All the songs i have (about 400+) will not show up. When i remove the memory card, all the songs on the phone shows up. Try this fix (I am using the latest firmware).
Navigate to the Home Media App (Main Menu>Tools>Connectivity>Home Media), Share Content: Select Options (Left Softkey), then refresh contents. It will take some time depending on the number of songs, videos and photos you have. After it has finished refreshing, you should be able to select any song from the phone or memory card from within the tones menu. -
Hi, i want to delete themes for my N95 8gb and for that i need to access the private folder buti do not know how to find it as for that i need to connect to mass storage mode. Can someone tell me how can i find the private folder in mass storage mode in 8gb?
Borrowed from another site i used this method and it works.
Here is how to delete themes that does'nt appear in the App Manager
You need to hook up your N95 to your PC via the USB and access the data transfer mode,and you need to make sure your file explorer can view hidden folders.
You'll find the theme files in a folder named 'Private',in this folder are lots of other folders.Go to the folder named '10207114' and then enter the folder inside called 'Import'
In here are all the themes on your phone.
You have to open every folder and then look in the skn folder to find the name of the theme as the folders are named by numbers and not the theme itself,if the PC doesn't allow you to open the file then choose to open it with Notepad,then scroll across until you see the name of the theme and usually it'll say the creators name too.
Once you know it's the theme you want to delete then you have to delete the whole folder including including the mbm,mif,ini and skn folders.
