N95 8GB Transferring Photos to computer

I have just bought an new N95 8GB and im not sure how to transfer my photos to my computer. Can someone please help!!!

You can either use the PC Suite "Store images" tool or you can simply use Windows Explorer to drag and drop the photos to your PC.
In the first case, you will need to install PC Suite (obviously, given the name, you computer has to be a Windoze PC for this), then connect the phone via cable, bluetooth or IR in PC Suite mode and select "Store images". The rest is pretty much automatic. Note that you may need to check your settings if you want to keep the pictures on the phone as well as copy them to the PC.
Using drag & drop is more straightforward (and way faster): connect the phone with the cable (no need to install any software), select data transfer mode, navigate to [mass memory]:\Images in explorer and simply copy the files to wherever you want them on the PC. Of course, if you have pictures in phone memory, you'll first need to use File Manger on the phone to copy the pictures to mass memory.

Okay.... updated software and lost all photos on my phone. Luckily, they are all on my computer. However, I cannot get them back on to the iphone. I click on the folders I want to sync, but all it does is say "sync in process" but it is not processing anything. What is wrong? I am having the same problems. Videos and music sync just fine, but when syncing photos the phone just stalls with the "Sync in Progress". I left the phone alone for more than 30 minutes, but it's still in the stalling state. Cancelling the sync and looking in the Photo section show nothing.

How do you transfer pictures from the phone to the computer, via pc suite. If i go on lifeblog, it wont let me select individual items and just sends everything across, pictures, messages, the lot..

You have not informed if you are using Nokia PC Suite / NSeries PC Suite. Anyways, you can install Nokia Photos on your PC, which may replace existing lifeblog. Its really a good one. Or, if you are using Nokia PC Suite, you can use Imagestore application of Nokia PC Suite 6.86.9.3 version...If you are really transfer and maintain your photos, i would say you can try Nokia Photos on your PC.

Sorry to say that i didnt get a word that you said.
I assume you have upgraded to windows 7 and are unable to use or install nokia pc suite.
First of all it aint nokia's fault that windows 7 came after they had uploaded the setup.
All you need to do is download the pc suite to you computer or laptop or whatever it is ... then right click on the setup and click compatibility mode nd just keep pressing next next next.
Im sure your pc suite will be installed then and you will be able to use your computer to transfer everything to and from the phone..

A lot of I should haves. I had too many photos and while at work I opened up the 4 folders inside of the DCIM folder on my phone. I didn't think it would be a big deal to just cut the photos and paste on my computer as I have done this before. i moved one folder that had 803 pictures in it and all was fine. I ran out of time and unplugged phone and went home. When I got to work this morning I was looking at my phone and realized I only had 34 pictures. I knew there should have been 400+ there and they are gone. Don't know what happened and if they were deleted off phone or computer I cannot see them anywhere. I didn't back up (I know mistake) Lessoned learned I just hope there is something i can do!

I can't transfer photos/videos from my iphone 4s to my computer since the computer won't recognize the phone as I plug it in. I tried to install new drivers but only tells me that all my drivers are up to date. I cant recall having this problem until I switched to Windows 7. I also tried reading these forums and others for a solution but I have this far been unable to find one. Is there anyone else out there having this problem?

Thanks for replying to my question! You mentioned that it might be a problem with my computer, what do you mean by that? Is it the hardware, i.e loose cables and such or is it the software that you refering to?
Great suggestion that I should use Dropbox to transfer my pictures. I already have Dropbox and I have used it to make copies. The problem is that I find the app troublesome to use and I much rather prefer that I can acess the photos as I did before.
I will continue to try to find an solution to my connectivity problems but I appreaciate your advice!

N95 8GB cannot view gallery photos/ uploads photos...

I have had the same problem with my N95 8GB with viewing photos in my gallery!
I have now got my 5th replacement handset (Orange) since August 29th due to various faults and issues. The main one being trying to transfer photos from my PC to my mobile via the Nokia PC Suite or just via USB cable. Both of which when I try to then go into the gallery view on the phone caused it to freeze. Unable to view any images!
This keeps happening, and I have even tried running the 'N series installation disk' and still the same issues. I thought that such a good spec phone with 8GB memory would be able to hand just 2 jpeg images without freezing!
Has anyone else had the same problem or am I just unlucky? I have got up to date anti virus software on my PC, and have tried different images each time. My previous phone (n95) was able to upload and export pics and music to my PC no problems ever!

Well I have tried to just loads 2 images from the laptop onto my mobile. I have tried doing a direct file transfer (mass media) and then also tried through Nokia PC suite-uploaded via the CD rom I was given.On both occasions this has been uncessful to view images from the gallery menu on the phone..crashes!
I think the photos are actually on the phone under the file manager folder I can find them stored here. However on opening the gallery to try and view these files, the phone freezes and I am unable to exit the menu -using the 'back' button have to press the red phone cancel button. Once out of the gallery folder and back to the main screen I can then no longer access and shortcut menus for about 3mins. Very frustrating. The most recent phone I have now, I got 2 days ago-I've not even plugged into my laptop, and when asking a friend to send me images via bluetooth I cannot open this either!! (it comes as a text format from bluetooth) and on opening the phone just freezes again. I try to save this when asked to mass memory and not phone memory.
I can take images on my 'phone camera' but again cannot view as unable to access the gallery-constantly freezes the phone.The images are not a large file just jpeg format for example 45KB another one I tried was much larger 1MB...

At 1.3GB available, your storage space is getting very thin no matter what you do further. As long as you have the photo's in the camera roll saved on your computer you can delete them. Just make sure first that they are in your photo software. If updating in iTunes, just backup/sync first, then update, and that will save the camera roll in the backup as well.
At only 1.3GB you eventually are going to find yourself unable to install or update some app, or unable to take any new pictures, or some other limitation that will force you to free up space anyway. So now, before updating, sounds like a good time to make sure everything is backed up or stored somewhere else, and clean house a bit, then update.

PC Suite doesn't even come into the equation here.
Connect the phone in data storage mode. It will appear in your "My Computer" as an external drive.
Enable the display of hidden and system files so that everything gets copied and just drag/drop stuff over from one place to the other using the explorer.
(Note that I can't provide more detailed help than that since I don't actually use Windows on my own PCs)

smcolvin, happy to help with getting those pictures transferred. As the Samsung Gusto does not have the mass storage functionality, this requires a out of the box solution. You can send the pictures as a picture message and place your email address in the "to" field. Open your email inbox on your computer, open the messages and then download the images to the computer (usually right click and "save as").
Alternatively, you can send the pictures to the online album and access them there. To send to the online album from your phone, press the left soft key. Message>New Message>Picture message. At the "New Picture Msg" screen, press the Right Soft Key and add "To Online Album." Select "Send." On your computer launch your web browser and log into MyVerizon at verizonwireless.com and then go to vzwpix.com .

You will need to reset it via your computer's iTunes and you should then be able to restore/resync your content to it.

I do not think talking to Apple will do more than the following:
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

How did you do this burn? Did you use a program like iDVD? A DVD player requires that the data on the DVD is recorded in the proper format: MPEG-2. A program like iDVD will do this. There are other programs available that can do the proper coding (Roxio 'Toast' for example), but iDVD has the most features and is easy to use. It is no longer available from Apple, but if you search on Amazon, you can find 'iLife 11', a suite of programs including iDVD. It will function properly on Apple's current operating system, but it cannot make a High-Definition (Blue-Ray) presentation. It is Standard Definition only, as are all regular DVD's. One good way to present photos on a TV is to make a slidesow in iPhoto, then export that slideshow to iDVD, where it will be properly formatted for a DVD player. Or, iDVD can make its own slideshow of up to 99 photos. HTH.

We arrived home from vacation and I'd love to be able to transfer the map showing where I took all of my pictures to my computer, so I can print it and put it in our scrapbook. Is this possible? I've gotten the pictures transferred to the computer, but can't figure out if I can tranfer the map.

Off topic but if you have an hp eprint printer you can print it from your phone then scan to computer. You can print anything from iPhone. If you take a picture of it or screenshot you might not get all of it depending how big it is.
