N95 8GB - Video Center

My video center application closes after a few seconds.
The only change I had was that I subscribed to Podcasts and downloading audio and video podcasts. But still I only have 20% Internal memory used.
The videos from video center can be played from the Gallery >> Images & videos.
Oh yes, I also installed Gizmo5, onto the phone memory as instructed. I don't think they are related, but then again...

Nokia N95 (13.01)

Thank you a lot guys!
...and hello again :-)
Another problem I found is that Video Center automatically imports (videos) from Nokia Podcasts, which I happen to have a lot of video podcasts (e.g. geekbrief.tv). They keep me entertained each morning I take a train and bus to work (45 minutes trip).
I want to keep them for a while after I downloaded them, then erase after a few days, and giving thumbnails to files that can change after a while is too much work for a consumer device that is meant to be all fun, I think :-). Sorry, I shouldn't be whining about this in here, but directly to Nokia.
Anyways, has anyone tried to configure Video Center not to automatically import videos within the phone? No sooner to do myself since that would mean I have to remove all my (video) podcast episodes to keep my video center from crashing.

  • How do I force my N95's video center to refresh?

    Using a N95 8GB at the moment.
When I first got it, the video center was working perfectly, detecting any video that I load into the phone. However, it doesn't do that now. Tried formatting it but it didn't work. Any suggestions?
    Thanks

cut all videos to your pc.
connect ur phone to your pc and open via mass storage. make sure u can see hidden files on ur PC. open folder data, videocenter and then mv. delete the file iptvmyvideos.
disconnect your phone, perform a soft reset and then connect your phone back to your pc via pc suite. use nokia video manager to transfer the videos back to ur phone.
restart your phone and search for the videos. continue browsing until they start appearing.
if this doesn't work then perform a hard reset and update your firmware again. remember to back up all your data bofore.

  • N95 8GB Video Centre Shutting Down

My problem with my N95 8GB, the video centre application automatically closes itself after a few seconds when I open it.
The video centre work fine when it was brand new but as soon as I put my Sim Card in, I started to have problems.
I would really appreciate some help on this issue as it is driving me crazy
    Many thanks,
    s

The workaround is to load a JPG PNG or GIF picture icon (small file 90 KB), named EXACTLY the same as the videos in the My Videos folder where the videos are stored (or where ever the videos from video center are stored)

  • N95 8GB Video Manager "NOT CONVERTING"

My NSeries Video Manager for N95 8GB does not seem to be able to convert any video file. What's exactly happening is that after I've searched a folder and found the video files, whatever video type I choose (whether it's an .avi, or.mpg or.mov file) and select "convert and trasfer to phone" I get a message saying some of the video or audio codecs needed for converting are missing and that I should check the log file for more info. The funny thing is I can watch all those videos I've found with VideoManager, I just cannot convert them with it. What's my problem? Am I missing any codecs, and if yes where can I find them for downloading?

You can be missing codecs, but what I experienced with Video Manager is that it is very buggy. If you know how to use ffmpeg, you simply do not need Video Manager and can convert videos to H.264 formats fast.
I use the following parameters with ffmpeg:
    ffmpeg -y -i "$input" -s 320x240 -async 1 -vcodec libx264 -b 200k -maxrate 384k -bufsize 384 -coder 0 -level 13 -acodec libfaac -ab 128k -threads 2 "$output"
Replace $input and $output with the input and output file paths respectively. Please be reminded that the ffmpeg version should support x264, otherwise it will not convert. After successful conversion, the file can be played by built-in RealPlayer.

LED lights are usefull upto 2 feet. I have N-93i and the LEDs do not produce enough light to make a decent clip. It is better to have a small 100W small video light running on slung battries.

  • N95 8GB VIDEO PLAYBACK HELP

Hi, i have downloaded my videos onto my pc. they are MP4 files. i am not able to play them on my pc. Please advise what to do or what software to download. i cannot find any other options for recording videos if there are any other settings
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

If you mean the videos you took with the N95 then just use Quicktime or RealPlayer to play them on the PC. Actually most video players will play MP4.
Windows Media Player doesn't play or find MP4 as you probably don't have MPEG-4 as a DirectShow codec.
So you won't be able to use WMP unless you make some changes to the registry which I won't recommed unless you are comfortable editing the registry.

  • N95 8GB Video Problem - Stopping at 37~ min.

    Hey.
I've been having this problem ever since I got my cellphone.
I have some full-length movies on my device but the video always stops between 36 and 37min.
Only the audio continues, the screen just turns greyish. Until this, the videos work perfectly
and on the computer they function full length, I converted them using the video manager too so there
    shouldn't be a problem.
Any idea what I could do about that..?
    Thanks in advance.

  • N95 8gb video call

when in video calls we need a option to turn the camera light on or off . That's so we can see our image in our calls when there is no back ground light.

And how exactly would that work? There is no camera light on the front of the phone!
If you are talking about the flash on the back then how would you see the other person? Wouldn't this make a video call pointless?

  • Can N95-8GB play multiple video clips without inte...

I bought the N95 8gb few days ago. Then transfer some of my MV to its Video Centre. When I played those MV in N95, I need to click the arrow button to switch to the next song or previously song. Is there any way to create a video playlist in this phone? It does bother me so much, because I need to click it to switch to the next. Pain of the **bleep**!

CorePlayer allows you to create video playlists (www.coreplayer.com). You just select the files you want and it will play them in loop.
I think it's not possible with the built in Video Center.

I followed your steps but I got this message.... "USB data transfer mode activated. MASS MEMORY MAY NOT BE USED DURING THIS TIME."
Actually the video file was not there anymore in my File Mgr folder but the problem is the video file is still there in Video centre > My videos folder. When I tried to delete the file using "c" or Options > delete, the error says "Unable to delete. File video.mp4 is open."
I also tried to reset the phone to its factory settings but still video file was there.
I think this is a bug. Pls advice. Tnx in advance.

My sources tell me that the Spiderman 3 movie was only available to some markets.
The file is DRM protected (see link that korngear provided) so it cannot be copied and played on another device.
The movie itself is Pan&scan to fit the 4x3 aspect ratio of the screen. And the version I saw was in English with English subtitles but I'm not sure if this is different in each country, maybe each country has it's own language subtitiles.
    Just one question loco:
    what was the video specs?
I mean the bitare, FPS, etc and is it possible to encode Spidey 3 better than that one?
    You know my PSP encode
