Yes, I have had exactly the same problem with my own N95...
...and without even dropping it.
All I did was open up the back cover to insert the SIM card, and then replace the cover. Alas, at that early stage I hadn't noticed how very fragile are the "hooks" that hold the cover to the phone.
Lesson learnt:
now very careful;
to date only that single replacement.
It would indeed be nice were the "hooks" to be a little more robust.

  • Stiff Battery cover for Lumia 520

Today I configured my first Lumia 520 and it was an 'interesting' experience.
    I have 2 complaints:
    1. Whilst the battery cover adds a nice feel to the phone, it is stiff and very difficult to peel off.
    2. The online instructions provided for peeling off the battery cover frightens me, that I will bend the motherboard, hence break the phone.
This was an issue associated with wearing mobiles around ones waist causing many repairs.  Motorola models seemed the worst affilicted.
    I'm filled with trepidation.

The technique described in the online instructions lets the back cover be removed with very little force.  You just have to be sure that you insert your thumbnail between the soft outer cover and the hard inner shell, and not between the hard shell and the screen.
At first glance it can seem that you are supposed to put your thumbnail into the cutout for the earpiece, but that's not right.  There's a narrow, hard ridge that runs right around the edge of the screen, and you insert your thumbnail outside that ridge to peel away the soft plastic case that clips around it.
    Hope that helps.

  • Blackberry Pearl Battery Cover Clip Broken

My pearl took a little fall and now the silver battery clip has broken (with the spring coming out and such).  Can I buy a replacement clip for the battery cover?  Where would I find this?

eBay has TONS of vendors selling these because Blackberry did a VERY POOR engineering job on these.
Just search for "Blackberry Pearl Latch". They SHOULD replace them for free.  It's gotten so bad that T-Mobile sales people are dissuading customers from buying Pearls just because they get so many complaints about the broken latches.  So, head their advice unlike me. I bought one on eBay.  When I saw it I could see why they break so often. It is a tiny, cheaply made and fragile part.  I broke the replacement trying to get it installed.  So, if anybody tries to replace one themselves be very careful with the 3 tiny little pins on the latch.
Blackberry should be paying for these to be repaired.

  • Any ideas on how to prevent the battery cover from falling out?

My battery cover continuously falls out.  Is there something I am doing wrong?

Usually it's because the cover isn't fully inserted for the latch to catch.   The left photo is incorrect.  The right photo shows the cover fully inserted.   Just push harder on each side of the latch.

  • Can I use Zen Nano firmware in my N200? Also battery cover replaceme

I was looking for a firmware update for my N200 and noticed it hadn't been updated since February. The N200 isn't even listed in the menu of products. The Nano and Nano Plus were listed separately, however, and the Nano has been updated this month. Can I use it in my N200? I've searched this forum and read you cannot use Nano Plus firmware in an N200, but the Nano is listed separately so I thought maybe it was a rebadged N200. Thanks!
Also, my battery cover broke. How can I go about getting a replacement? I looked through the online store and accessories, but didn't see anything.Message Edited by bookends on 06-22-2006 2:36 AM

The last update for the N200 added Thai support for the display.
The last update for the Nano Plus added Chinese and Japanese language support. This might not be of interest to most, but it is to me. I am also always interested in improvements in firmware revisions no matter how small. I also don't see a comprehensi've changelog, just a "changes since last version." The N200 and Nano Plus are basically identical, but why does the Nano Plus continue to get firmware revisions the N200 does not? There are obvious improvements the Nano Plus benefits from that the N200 does not. It doesn't make sense to me.

  • Does anyone know a source for a EOS D30 camera lithium battery cover CB2 0666-000

I am wondering if anyone can help me. I have a Canon EOS D30 I inherited from my parents. They hardly used it, so I would like to sell it. However, the round black battery cover for the lithium battery on the bottom of the camera is missing. I thought it would easy to find a replacement, and after an exhaustive internet search, was I surprised to see that it is not available anywhere! Does anyone know if there is a cover from another model that would work? Without it, the camera is rendered useless!!!!!  Canon could only provide me the part #:  CB2 0666-000.  I checked ever site link, and it seems as if this part is now sold out over the world..... THANK YOU to whomever can help me.

If you just can't find that cover you can always put the battery grip on it. That is probably the reason the original cover is missing anyway as someone had a grip on it. Plus the grip makes it a way much better camera.
I have to agree, though, a 3 MP camera is not very desirable and may not be worth the cost of the grip. But that is a way out for you.

Absentmindidly while changing the aaa battery, I thought that I could use the tab on the battery cover to dig out the battery. Of course it broke!?How would I get a new battery cover? I'm hoping to get the metallic blue cover, but anything would do.
Nothing on ebay and customer support isn't working.

To transfer files from a CD... I place the cd in tray, close it, open Creative MediaSource Organizer and rip the CD...now what are my settings? I have it set on WMA Stereo, DRM enabled, 28 Kb
    ps.
Rip the tracks I want to my PC Music Library. Insert my mp3 player (hard calling it that as it yet has to play a track of anything), and set the Muvo TX FM as the destination source and transfer files. After transfer, close all windows, open My Computer, open Dri've F and there are my tracks...yeah, but wait. I safely remove hardware, and insert it into player and attempt to turn it on...3 seconds later...denied. SIGH. Okay, reinsert player, open Di've F...ohh surprise..not formatted. Click on my exe. with latest driver (see original post), reinstall original driver again. Reformat again using FAT not FAT32 per tech support. Safely remove hardware. Insert into player, turn on...yeah turns on, no music, but can access FM..okay so not a TOTAL waste of $$$. Reinsert into computer, open my computer, dri've F, empty file. It's recognized and formatted. OPen Creative MediaSource Organizer...transfer files..no error messages..repeat....repeat...repeat. Same result. Should I try FAT32? Should I try to rip a cd w/o using DRM enabled? Does the LCD screen need to come on when in usb port? I have not tried to rip CD's using WMP0 yet as CMsO came with the player. Is it better?Message Edited by drewj28 on 09--2006 09:38 PM

  • I lost my battery cover to my Mighty Mouse and need to get a new cover! Where can I find one?

I need a Battery cover for my Mighty Mouse.  Where can I get one?

Apple do not supply components like this.   But if you have a premium reseller near you, they may have an old mouse or a spare cover in their workshop.  They usually have some form of support workshop.   Otherwise you could try buy a second hand mouse.

  • I have a Canon Power Shot A520 and I can't get the battery cover open.

I followed the manual and am new to my camera, but I cannot get the battery cover to slide open on my Canon Power Shot A520. Any suggestions.

    Hi WG!
    Thanks for posting.
There is a sliding lock switch on the battery door that needs to be slid to one side as you also push the battery door out.  Please ensure you are doing both at the same time, otherwise the battery door remains locked.

  • Best ipad 3 battery cover?

Anyone know of the best ipad 3 battery cover? It should provide good battery life as I am out of power most of the time. Even though I feel my new ipad gives great work time, I need more power! I already have an excellent case but it does not have an extended battery. Price should be US$ 125 max.
    Thanks!

  • PC Cam 300 Battery Cover

Can anyone help me? The Battery cover on my PC Cam 300 broke last week (the second time one of the hinge lugs has snapped). Does anyone have an old unit that no longer works that can be used as a donor or is it still possible to get a replacement part from Creative? As the product is under the archive list I can't e-mail anyone in the support department to ask, unless someone out there can supply me with an e-mail address. Thanks LDuk

    Nogoodbyes,
Let's do a hardware reset on the player:
Press Snapshot button and Operational mode button simultaneously for more than two seconds this will delete all the files from the camera. A beep sound is heard when the memory is cleared and LCD displays zero.
This may get the camera working again.

  • Z2 cracked battery cover repair cost

Hi, i recently brought a Z2 and the battery cover is cracked. Trying to get sony to give a repair price is like getting blood out of a stone anyone have a clue how much they'll charge to fix this roughly. Obviously i know the price may change if other damages are found which theyre wont be. What i cant deal with is not knowing how much i need to expect to pay around as it will take some time to put this money to one side...

You have to contact your local Sony for the price

  • ZMP: There an easy way to take of battery cov

Dumb question but I've found it very difficult to remove the battery cover without having to stick my fingernail between the crack and putting heavy pressure on the ZMP. I'm afraid this will damage it eventually, so why is it so hard to remove battery cover?

Hi....i'm using a ZMP too and i agree with u that the batt cover is hard to remove. Perhaps due to the slippery metal surface of the ZMP that's the reason why, but i'm only using batt as provided in the package so after inserting it inside for the st time, i won't remove it again until i get a replacement for it.
