N95 Bluetooth Headset Volume Control

Hi,
I've got an N95 and a Jabra BT135 bluetooth headset. I love the phone and they work well together, except for one problem. Every time I make a call I have to turn the volume up full. Is there any way I can set the phone to return to full volume automatically each time I make or receive a call using the headset ?

Have a look here: http://www.nokia.co.uk/A4221246
What I suggest is that you get one that Nokia has defined as compatible, I have one that came with my Nokia 8800 Sirocco, the Nokia Bluetooth Headset BH-801 and it doesn't work properly, sound quality is awful, however its not listed as being compatible with the N95.
Shunts...
I will mostly be communicating with a Nokia E72 Zodium Black

  • How to adjust bluetooth headset volume in mediapla...

    Hi,
I've a problem with lovely E75. I just got a new bluetooth headset (HBH-IS800 SonyEricsson) without any volume control. In a normal call the volume adjust works perfect, but in the mediaplayer the volume is to loud even if I press the lower buttom to it says 10% in the display.
I also have the same problem with systemsounds (lika SMS) that plays in the BT headset, they are to load.
Is it possible to change the output volume from this media applications? I cant find any help in the manual or menusystems.

I beg to differ. If SE implements the basic BT protocol set and Nokia will recognize this, and connects, then Nokia's work is done. Nokia is not required to support SE headset but is required to support the BT standards. The idea is to get you to purchase an SE phone over a Nokia phone and vise versa. To not understand this is to miss out on the basics of business fundamentals.
While it may be a great headset, personally I like the fact that I can use my much better headphones (Shure SE 530's) with the Nokia BH-214. I had the SE HBH-DS220 but got rid of it because it too had a very strange BT protocol that would not allow it to connect until music was streaming from the phone. The guys at the SE shop acknowledged this as normal behavior between manufacturers. If you do not believe this, go to and SE shop, or Nokia, or both and ask them to explain it to you.

  • Bluetooth blocks volume control

    Hi everybody.
I am having fun with my iMac (late 2011 + 10.7.3) aspecially with software bugs.
    One of them is following:
Volume controll keys on my wireless keyboard do not controll sound. Doesn,t matter which one I press I do see the icons on the display but there is no effect on volume level. The sound "speaker icon" on the system bar is inactive and when I press it I see that slider is frozen at the very bottom and can't be moved.
I found the problem is clearly linked to bluetooth. Solution is there although annoying.
    Switch your iMac off.
Remove batteries from the wireless keyboard.
    Switch your Mac on.
Sound is back, and after placing batteries back in your keyboard you can see also that sound keys are working again. Unfortunatelly you have to make this operation each time when you switching your iMac off.
By the way, Macs were supposed to be so free of bugs. Crap.
Can anybody help me if there is any permanent fix?

    Hello:
Try resetting the PRAM and SMC.

  • Stereo bluetooth problems ( Volume control & Video out of Sync )

I just got a Sony HB-IS800 Stereo Blue-tooth Headphone for my iPhone 3GS.
There are a number of problems with 3.0 and stereo blue-tooth.
    1) The biggest issue is no volume control on the iphone when you connect your blue-tooth headphones. the sound is set at a loud volume and there is no way to adjust it at all.
    2) The second issue playing video on the iphone and the sound on the headphones are out of sync with the video's audio about a second or two. Sometimes I play a movie and don't see this issue or it is not that bad. All video Podcast are always out of sync.
I have test this on my iMac and I can adjust the volume and don't have audio sync problem at all.
I was wondering if in the 3.1 iphone firmware are these issues fixed in anyway?

  • Looking for a Bluetooth headset that can control the iPhone's volume

    Hey guys,
I'm looking to buy a cheap bluetooth headset that can control the iPhone's volume. The reason why I'm looking for that is because I want to take remote pictures. I currently have the Motorola H350 and it does have volume buttons except they control the headset's volume, not the iPhone's.
I was wondering if you guys could help me.
    Thank you.

Like ur self, I'm also looking for a bluetooth that can trigger the cam on iphone 4s, mainly for moment when I'm all alone for a picture.
Have tried the following earphone without success, all purchase through Apple Store, guess will have to source somewhere else.
    1. Jawbone ERA - failed
    2. Bose BLuetooth Headset series II - failed

  • Bluetooth Volume Control

I have a iPhone 3GS 32GB with IPFW 3.1.2 (7D11) but i noticed that there is no option for volume control for bluetooth devices. I have a Sony Ericsson HBH-IS800 and they work great but the music is always so loud. I tried to use the volume limiter and the volume adjuster in iTunes track properties but i was unsuccessful in changing the volume level. It is very annoying on some tracks. Volume control is only available while making calls. Is there a fix for this problem?

The current iPhone bluetooth implementation requires music volume control at the headset. You need a headset with a volume control.
You can send Apple feedback at this link: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

  • No volume controls on iPad 2 after Bluetooth unpairing

On an iPad 2 with ios 8.1.2, I can successfully pair and use a Bluetooth headset.  Volume controls work on the headset and the iPad 2.  No problems.  But after unpairing, the volume controls on the iPad 2 are gone or greyed out (depending on the app).  The mechanicals buttons do not change the volume level either.  I have tried hard reset without success.
One more data point ... if I plug in a wired set of earbuds, the volume controls return.  But if I remove the 3.5 mm jack, the volume controls disappear.
This condition started with pairing a set of Bluetooth earbuds.  Any suggestions appreciated.
ON EDIT:  This doesn't happen on my iPhone 5s with the same Bluetooth earbuds.

Same thing here. Started with iOS8, continues with 8.0.2. Only workaround I've seen is to reboot and/or power off/on.
Sometimes stays connected for hours. Other times No Service after a few minutes.
Since the upgrade to 8 never said it wasn't supported for iPad 2's my expectation is it should work. C'mon Apple.

  • IOS 5.0.1 Bluetooth Headset Siri Volume Differences

    Dear Community, dear Apple-Team,
I'm experiecing the issue that the volume on my Bluetooth Headset (Sony VH110) is different depening on how I start Siri. The problem occurs since I updated my IPhone 4S to iOS 5.0.1.
If I start Siri via the iPhones home button the voice on my headset is loud, clear and correctly responding to the volume settings. But if I start Siri two seconds later via the button on my headset, Siris voice is very silent and hardly understandable. Beside that Siris volume settings can't be changed via the volume control buttons on the headset (Note: I'm able to control the bluetooth volume settings via the headset while speaking, so usually this works fine).
To sum it up: The volume of Siris voice on my bluetooth headset is different depending on how I start Siri (via home button or headset).
Another note: It doesn't have any influence if I unpair the bluetooth headset, adjust the volume settings and pair again. It also doesn't have an effect whether "Voice Feedback" is turned on "Handsfree Only" or "Always".
Can someone confirm this as a bug or knows a workaround / solution? Thanks.
    Regards,
    Alex

Thanks a lot :) but I already red these instructions. Wifi connection works great, but a Bluetooth connection between my iPad and my iPod touch still fails. :(
I can't explain to me why the Bluetooth symbol in the right upper corner disappears altough Bluetooth is switched ON.  On the iPad 2 also running 5.0.1 it doesn't disappear.

  • My ipod touch thinks headsets are plugged in as indicated when pressing volume control.  We did a reset but that did not work.  What is next?

My ipod touch thinks headsets are plugged in as indicated when pressing volume control.  We did a reset but that did not work.  What is next?

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

  • How could they not let top-end Bluetooth Headsets activate Voice Control

I love Voice Control. It was an important feature missing from the 3G. Also was a video function. They addressed both with the 3GS. But then what do they do, forget to let Voice Control be accessed by a Bluetooth Headset.
Don't get my wrong, probably not all Bluetooth Headsets can support picking up a Voice Control function from a random cell phone. But I have a $140 Headseat, the Motorola Pure H15. This is the Nissan GTR of Bluetooth Headsets. Trust me, if there's a function that a headset can possess, this one has it and more.
So after pairing with the 3GS, why can't it gain access to the Voice Control? Hold the H15 button and the 3GS redials the last number dialed, which is a universal language between headset and cell phone. So I know that works, but push the button and the H15 attempts to connect and shows this by expressing several different tones: an access tone, then a deactivated tone. It's a weird combination of tones when pressing the button, it's trying but not getting through.
I hope Apple can fix this by way of software and avoid a hardware revision. Please please! I hope it's a quick fix and that Apple has this missing function on their priority list of future updates.

fear not... the people out there testing 3.1 mention that voice control works via Bluetooth on 3.1 so just give it a couple months and the feature will be there

  • Are there any iPhone headsets that allow volume control?

The new Apple In-Ear headphones are shipping at last, and I am considering buying some. I am currently looking to upgrade to some high-quality headphones from my standard iPhone buds, but I would like to have a working microphone and remote like those Apple buds have for my convenience. Are there any such headsets with working volume controls as well? Does the iPhone's audio jack lack a connector for this additional piece of equipment, as some folks are suggesting? A lot of people have been saying that the remote and microphone portion of the new In-Ear headset will work with the iPhone, but the volume buttons do not. I've seen mixed reports, so I'd like to hear some more opinions on this matter.
If volume control is not possible, I will still look into upgrading. So far, I'm considering the In-Ear phones, the V-MODA Vibe Duo headset. Any other thoughts or recommendations are appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    -MacUser

I bought a set of the Vmoda Vibe with the microphone. They sound great !! the silicone seals are just your average seals. After a couple of months the seals would sometimes stay in my ear when I pulled the earpiece out. A couple of months ago i bought some foam seals that work absolutely great. They are available on the Vmoda website. Kinda pricey..$14 ish for three pair. they only come in gray and accumulate dirt faster than the silicone seals but, they stay in your ear. Last week, as i wrapped the cord, i noticed it was broken at the pin plug site where it's curved (bends). This ***** as now when talking on the phone with the earbuds everything echos. My audio and the other persons audio also. Of course Apple won't exchange them since I purchased them more than two weeks ago. (A year hasn't expired yet) I'm going to send them to Vmoda and see what happens. I purchased the new Itouch earbuds. they are Apple white. I wished they came in black but, they are AWESOME !! The sound is incredible. The silicone seals work great so far. They look to be shaped differently so now they stay in your ear..so far...I purchased them for my iphone. The microphone/hold button work fine with no echo on either side. They have a volume level control but it does not work on the iphone. Bummer...This feature would have made them the ultimate Iphone earbuds. The volume does work on my ipod. Go figure. Overall, the new Apple In-ear headsets are great, They must have a tweeter and woofer in there cuz the sound is fantastic and the silicone seals actually stay in place.

  • N95-1 Music player Volume control problems

I muted the music player recently by turning the volume all the way down via the side volume controls and now I'm unable to turn the volume back on or up. The up controls on the side of the phone seem to work, ie feel the click of the switch operate, but nothing happens? I'm able to listen through the headset HS-45 that comes with the phone but have no control over the phone/music/video via the AD-43 in either the Music or Video modes?. Haven't yet tried the phone functions via headset! can somebody throw some light onto these issue's - phone has been its firmware recently updated to the latest version via the Nokia web site without any problems in a hope of rectifying these issue's but no luck.

    Hi
I have a similar problem. Recently upgraded to V21.
    Stick with me here...
Firstly I noticed the volume keys on the side of the phone didn't work; couldn't turn music up/down nor did they work when I was on a call. The only way to adjust in call volume was to use the centre navi key.
Secondly; whenever this happens I also notice when the keys are locked that the message "Press Unlock to activate keypad" keeps appears on the screen without me pressing anything.
Finally this causes a battery drain. Massively increasing the power usage from 0.2w to well over 1w
This happens intermittently i.e. cant adjust volume for about a day then everything is fine again.
Yesterday I also noticed that when the above happens the music controls (multimedia keys) when the slider is down dont work, they dont pause, play, stop, fwd/rwd or launch the music player.
    Any ideas?

  • Volume control on usb headset doesn't work.

I got myself the Logitech ClearChat Pro USB headset. I've got it to work with the help of http://alsa.opensrc.org/index.php/Hotpl … es_(Howto).  I can change the headphone volume with gnome-alsamixer.  However, the volume controls located on the headset doesn't work.  The controls works in Windows so either it's a configuration issue or it is simply not supported in Linux.  Does anyone have experience with this headset or with USB headsets in general?
    Thanks.

You may have already seen this.... but
No, I hadn't seen this. As it says that it worked out of the box in Ubuntu, I downloaded the LiveCD and it works indeed as it should after seleting the headset as sound output in the control panel. Afterward, I tried it on my laptop but the controls change the master volume on the onboard soundcard instead of the headset one. So it's just a matter of configuring it. From the articles that  I found at http://alsa.opensrc.org/index.php/Main_Page, it seems to be quite complicated from the first glance. I'll try to find an example asound.conf (or ~/.asoundrc). The Ubuntu LiveCD doen't contained these files so I don't know how they did it.
R00KIE: Thanks, but I already found that out and I can change the headset volume from alsamixer. What I want to do is to change it with the volume controls on the headset: http://www.logitech.com/repository/530/jpg/4838.1.0.jpg
