N95 Bluetooth wont stay connected to Pioneer DEH-9...

Blue tooth pairs fine but disconnects after a few seconds, I have tried deleting all the pairings etc etc, problem seems to be when it starts to download the phonebook to the Pioneer unit, if I turn that option off on the Pioneer then the N95 stays connected...but I want the phone book to download onto the Pioneer...HELP!

Are you actually pairing them by inputting the 6 digit code on the iPhone?

    Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Change the channel on your wireless router. Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

  • HELP!! Macbook wont stay connected automatically to wifi? why?

I live in apartments with tons of wifi signals. I have a secured wifi and no matter how many times i enter my password and everything my macbook wont stay connect automatically to my home wifi.
I have to use diagnostic assistance every time to connect to my wifi. It wont work. I have read some of these other forums but the suggestions don't work. Tried adding unsecured wifi signals to preferred and move to bottom and mine to top. no luck. I don't understand the DNS option so i didn't try it. PLEASE HELP SOMEONE, ANYONE
    THANKS!

When you live in an area with lots of wifi signals you are in a situation that may cause degradation to your own wifi network.
When the 54g channels were created it turned out only 3 of those channels can be used, 1, 6 or 11.
    all the other channels bleed.
So you should use a wireless sniffer such as air radar
Then look for the 3 strongest signals that are close to you. Then change the channel your wifi is broadcasting on to channel number 1, 6 or 11.
Unfortunately you may find that no matter what channel you use you are going to be close to someone else on the same channel.
The solution is to upgrade your network to a wireless N network. Using the 5ghz high band channels you have many more channels to use.
regarding your network diagnostics dont list any other network other than your own in the preferred networks. Regarding DNS your router should automatically assign a dns server.

  • Ipod touch wont stay connected at home

Ipod touch 5th gen wont stay connected to wifi at home while it is locked. this inhabits me from getting alerts when i want them most, at home. it stays connected the the server at school and at all my friends houses, but not mine here at home. i did the network reset on my ipod and it still disconnects. any ideas?

Power off and then back on your router
    Get a new router.
Since it only happens with your home network that indicates a problem with your home network

  • IPhone 5's Bluetooth Not Staying Connecting For Continuity Support on Yosemite

    Devices:
Macbook Pro Mid-2010 running OSX 10.10.2
    Iphone 5 running iOS 8.1.3
*NOTE: I understand that due to the version of the Bluetooth protocol in my machine, not all continuity features are available (Handoff, Air Drop, MBP Instant Hotspot)
However SMS to IMessage and the ability to make and receive calls from my Mac should be OK according to Apple's system requirements one-sheeter:
System requirements for Continuity on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac - Apple Support
    ================================================================================ =====================
    Here's my problem.
I finally took the plunge last night and updated my iPhone 5 from 7.1 to 8.1.3 to access the iCloud Drive and additional continuity features integrated into Yosemite.
When I tried to pair my iPhone 5 with my MBP over Bluetooth, all seemed to go well for the first 5 seconds.
    - Both devices were in discovery mode.
    - Mac saw the phone and displayed a security code
    - iPhone displayed the same security code and asked if I would like to pair with MBP
    - Pairing took place. Each devices Bluetooth profile / device showed up in my MBP Bluetooth's Preferences  and in my iPhone's Bluetooth.
    - 5 seconds later, there's no connection between devices.
    My iPhone displays:
"Connection Unsuccessful: Make sure [Macbook Pro] is turned on and in range." (The phone is 5 inches away)
Then sometimes I get this message:
"Connection Unsuccessful: [Macbook Pro] is not supported.
No rhyme or reason between the two either.
Here's the baffling part: When I activate my Phone's HotSpot function, the Bluetooth works and connects with my MBP allowing it to use my cell phone network's data for internet connectivity.
I don't understand what is going on or how to correct this? Can anyone succinctly explain how to correct this problems in layman terms?
If the devices can communicate long enough to exchange security codes and verify their identities, then use Hotspot,  there is clearly a data exchange happening. Where is the break down taking place when it comes time to stay connected to so I can continue to use the limited continuity features.
I've seen this question posted before by people having problems with many different model years of MBP including the most recents models, so I know it's not mutually exclusive to my model year, but cannot seem to find clarity on an answer.

I wish Apple would have provided more detail on how it worked. I wouldn't have posted this if I new that SMS & Mac Calling had nothing to do with Bluetooth pairing.
You mean like this? Get help using Continuity with iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite
Please note how Apple articulates this though.
    Check your settings
Check the following settings on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:
Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn on Wi-Fi if necessary.
Make sure your iOS devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network by going to Settings > Wi-Fi and comparing the name of the network each is on.
Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn on Bluetooth if necessary.
Go to Settings > General > Handoff & Suggested Apps and make sure Handoff is on.
Go to Settings > Phone. If you see Wi-Fi Calling, turn it off.
Sometimes things have to be explained in more detail for the general consumer who has been conditioned for decades to think about wireless  cellphone audio / light data to [anything other device else] connectivity in a certain fashion. That is to say Bluetooth dependent ...
For the non-technical person, which overwhelmingly many Apple users are, they would see that bulleted point and think if Bluetooth is not paired and active, then they would not received the full scope of their Continuity features.
It would have been better for the copywriter who wrote this to (*) footnote this entry and explain that while Bluetooth recognition may be necessary between Yosemite and iPhone, SMS Push to iMessage and Mac Calling does not require an actively paired connection as these functions are dependent on iCloud and both devices being registered on the same WiFi network.
Thank you to all who helped me get my mind around and figure this out.
It has also opened my eyes to how iCloud has become a critical link in Apple's overall walled garden  and business strategy.

  • AIRPORT WONT STAY CONNECTED

    AIRPORT WONT STAY CONNECTED

Sorry, but that's not a lot of information to be able to help you. By AirPort are you referring to the built-in wireless in your Mac or one of the AirPort routers? If it is the former, what is the make & model of the wireless router that you are attempting to connect it to? If it's the latter, what is the model of your AirPort and what are you trying to connect to it that won't stay connected?

  • My ipod touch 2nd gen wont stay connected to wi-fi what can i do ?

As title says my ipod doesnt stay connected, it will disconnect from it so i would have to go to settings and choose the wifi i want and i would have to repeat this process over and over. Also when i use safari it will happen a few times but then it would stop so me using safari somehow makes my ipod stay connected to wifi.
(sorry if some things i say dont make sense or if i didnt type a certain word right my english is kinda bad).

Start with a system reset.  It's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the reset doesn't help, go here for heavy-duty assistance.
    Post back with results.

  • IPhone 3G wont stay connected/powered?

    Hello,
I've an iPhone 3G (yes its old want an iphone 4 but can't afford one) I update it to the latest iOS in iTunes last night i have only just updated to iOS 4.2.1 i was running 3.x something however i updated it last night.
However since i have updated it my iPhone will no longer stay "connected/powered" when plugging into the wall charger it's fine on USB but don't wanna charge via USB in computer everytime.
I plug it into the wall charger it has the battery with the battery icon what appears when charging then it vibrate and disconnects and then vibrates twice and starts charging then it vibrate and disconnects ect.. over and over again.
What could this be? was fine till i updated to iOS 4.2.1 last night in iTunes.
    What i've tried
    - Restarting (off for 10mins then turning iphone back on)
    - Tried other wall sockets around the house.
    Device;
    - iPhone 3G
    - iOS 4.2.1
    * The charger is the adapter with usb cable one that come with the iPhone when i brought it.
    Edit;
    found https://discussions.apple.com/message/12724318#12724318 also.

Ok, ive restored now...and the phone wouldnt connect to 3G, but this was before i set up as new iphone. So im doing that now in the hope that it will work after everything has been sorted...but im not holding much hope for it to work.
How annoying, i honestly wouldnt care half as much if there was an explination for it all...a reason. but there isnt, it just happened.
iv been intouch with my network provider to see if theres anything that can suggest....such as sending my phone away to apple. because im totally puzzled as to what is wrong and why its happening.
anyways, thank you VERY much for your help and your time.

  • External wont stay connected thru airport

I have an external hard drive connected wirelessly thru my airport. I have always had issues with it staying connected, so much so they replaced my airport. Now that I have upgraded to SL, the problem has gotten way worse, it stays connected for maybe 20 minutes, then I have to restart in order to get it to connect again. Anyone have a work around for this? Or a better suggestion of how to connect it? I have the airport joining my wireless at&t network... Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Yes, it connects via USB to the airport, but it uses the power of the airport. When I purchased the drive at the Apple store, they were aware that it was going to connected that way, so I hope thats not the reason! thanks!

  • Personal Hotspot driving me crazy wont stay connected!!!!!

I can not stay connected to personal hotspot for more then a minute or two and it keeps disconecting.  I have searched all over and seen other people with the same problem and no solutions.  Please someone help.  It was working and I was able to use it to stream and download things on my computer.  I was hoping to use personal hotspot also to update to iOS 5 as the wifi where I am is pain stackingly slow!  My phone is not going into sleep I have tried playing music in the background, playing games at the same time, and have had auto lock turned off.  I have left it on the personal hotspot screen also.  Nothing with work and its driving me nuts that I can not figure this out.  I have unlimited tethering set up and would like to watch netflix, hockey games and do my update.  Please someone help with this or at least just let me know there is no solution.

Does your Laptop loose wireless connection or it's just your Wii ?
Have you tried resetting your Wireless Router ?
If your Laptop is also loosing the Wireless Connection then problem will be with your router, else it could be Wii...

  • Ipod wont stay connected and icon disappears from finder

I have a new 80g video ipod, have had it for about three weeks. Up until today all was fine, but now it won't stay connected to itunes after updating files. It connects, shows up on the desk top for a few seconds, updates any new files and then just drops out. It keeps the do not disconnect screen for a few seconds, then the red warning logo disappears and after that i can not do anything with the ipod in itunes. The ipod music list is greyed out and I can't add any new photos or change anything. The only thing I have done differently since it was last working ok was I connected my camera using the camera connector and uploaded some pictures from that.
I have done a reset and now a restore but that hasn't helped.
is the problem with the ipod or itunes? What can I do?

Sorry, this may be a case of "always read the manual first"!
I think that what I thought was a fault with the ipod was in fact due to the default preference for auto syncing being enabled. As I had my previous ipod set to manual update I was used to being able to make changes to the ipods lists whilst connected, but as my new ipod is still set to automatically sync I now realise that this is why the ipods list was greyed out. In this mode it appears that it is usual that as soon as you connect, itunes updates any changes and then disconnects and the red "do not disconnect" screen on the ipod goes. If there were no new additions or changes to playlists made since the last time you connected, the sync will only take a few seconds and then the ipod screen goes back to the menu list. Also, because in auto sync the ipod will be updated with a copy of your itunes contents, the ipod's list is greyed out due to the fact that you are not able to make changes independently from your itunes list. (i.e. you have to make the changes in itunes in order for these to be replicated on the ipod).
In order to keep connected and be able to alter things on the ipod list you have to have the preference set to manually update. Then the ipods contents are not greyed out and you can add, delete and change playlists without doing this in your main itunes on the computer.
So I think I have answered my own question, unless I am still misunderstanding something here, and the moral is, download and read the manual properly before worrying that there is something wrong with the machine!
I still think its a bit weird that the ipod icon disappears from he desktop though as I thought it would be at least recognised as being attached even if not in disc mode. Should it still show in the finder anyway?
