N95 camera (no image in view finder)

hope someone can advise,
when i open the camera shutter usually you see what you want to take pictures of etc with the little icons on the right (shoot mode etc)
but for some reason when i open it now i get no image at all although i do get the icons on the right.
the secondary camera works.
ive updated firmware (had most recent anyway apparetly) and i have done a hard reset.
still no joy.
has anyone else had this problem? if so how did it get resolved?
regards
mike

I think you need to take your phone to a Nokia Service Centre for repair.

  • How to draw white border(only corner) lines around camera view finder

Hi. You know those white corner lines around the camera view that is found on most camera apps, how do I draw those lines around the camera view? I'm developing a video camera app and now I want to draw those lines to indicate where the camera view finder
is. The white line starts at the top left corner of the camera view(horizontal) then stops about one quarter and starts again at the other side(top right). The same at left, right and bottom side. It shouldn't be a full square/rectangle just the corners. I
think you understand what I'm talking about now. How can I draw just "video camera corner lines"? After this question I want to ask you how to change the resolution like to 176*220, 240*320 ect and what the available resolutions is for capturing
video-clips. For now just the white corner lines of camera view. Thanks in advance:-)

How do I draw lines and shapes on top of the camera view finder(cvf)?
+how do I show the battery life bar on cvf?
+how do I programmatically add text on the cvf?
+how do I make a connection request? (connect to a URL)?
+how do I change the resolution of the video camera? What is the acceptable values for resolution?
+how do I listen for touch events on the cvf?
    Thanks

    Hi there Fgonzalez2015,
You may find the camera troubleshooting steps in the article below helpful.
Get help with the camera on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
You see a closed lens or black screen
If you see a closed lens or black screen when you open the Camera app, try these steps:
Make sure that there’s nothing blocking the camera lens. If you’re using a case, try removing it.
Force the app to close, then open the Camera app again.
Restart your device, then open the Camera app again.
If your device has a front and rear camera, try both cameras by tapping the camera swap icon . If you see the closed lens or black screen on only one camera, take your device to an Apple Retail Store or Authorized Service Provider for more help.

  • Refreshing Image Preview in Finder

Is there a way to get the Finder to refresh the image preview in coverflow, or list view? I pulled in a bunch of photos from a DVD and have them in the Finder, but there is no image preview and/or icon that gives you the little thumbnail. If I hit spacebar, I can see the image just fine, but I want to quickly select images from the Finder without having to pull them into Lightroom or something. They are all JPEGs that I'm looking at. Thanks.

Click anywhere on your desktop. Then, go to Finder > View > View options and check "show item info" and "show icon preview". That should provide what you want.

  • Camera raw images change colour in adobe bridge

I have photoshop CS4 and import my camera raw images into Adobe Bridge.  When I view the thumbnails in bridge my raw images look vibrant and exactly like they appear on the camera but when I go to open them in camera raw edit they change colour and look washed out before I've made any changes.  Can anyone help me figure out how to correct this?

My camera is set to shoot sRGB JPGs and is set to all zeros for the brightness/contrast/saturation parameters.
What is your camera set to as far as these basic toning settings, as well as any automatic things like DLighting or highlight compression and perhaps any custom curves or whatever that is called for Nikons?
First paragraph - so is mine.
Second paragraph - all other settings are neutral/zeroed/turned off, as per my post to which you responded. That is, no additional tone curves - Active D-Lighting turned OFF (why anyone would let the camera decide what to do do with highlights and shadows is beyond my level of trust) , Jpg compression is Optimal (least possible) et cetera.
Think I now have an explanation for the different displays in ACR (and Bridge) that I have been experiencing. Took a new duplicate Jpg/Raw shot with the in-camera Picture Control set to Neutral. Now, when both the Jpg and .NEF Raw are viewed in ACR, with the ACR Camera profile set to Camera Neutral, they appear, ASAICT, identical. Saved Camera Neutral as the default ACR Camera profile. Now back in Bridge, the images also appear pretty much identical.
I think what was happening previously was that I had failed to save Camera Standard in ACR as the default Camera profile, and it was defaulting to Adobe Standard, and hence it was rendering Raw thumbnails for Bridge to that Camera profile - hence the difference in appearance between the Jpg and Raw in Bridge. Unless I have got it completely wrong,  I think my problem is now solved.

  • IPhoto 9.4.3 -not able to load image to view/edit

I have iPhoto 9.4.3 and am running 10.7.5 OS.  I am able to see photo thumbnnails, zoom and see info on the image, however, I can not load the image to view or edit.  When I try to click on the image I get a black screen.

There are several possible causes for the Black Screen issue
    1. Permissions in the Library: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the option to check and repair permissions.
    2. Minor Database corruption: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.
    3. A Damaged Photo: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and right click on it. From the resulting menu select 'Show File (or 'Show Original File' if that's available). (On iPhoto 11 this option is under the File -> Reveal in Finder.) Will the file open in Preview? If not then the file is damaged. Time to restore from your back up.
    4. A corrupted iPhoto Cache: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto folder from HD/Users/Your Name/ Library/ Caches...
    5. A corrupted preference file: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
If none of these help: As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

A block dot on the viewfinder is a piece of dust either on the mirror or or the focus screen.
You can try using a bulb blower to remove it (Don't use caned air).
Do NOT try to wipe it off as you will likely scratch something and make it worse.
It will not show up in your photos, so it's really doesn't affect the function of the camera.

I just got a white frame in the middle of my images in viewer mode in Aperture 3. What is it and how did it get there and how do i get rid of it?

    Just fishin' ...
Is by any chance "View→Show focus points" checked?
Does the frame persist after closing and re-opening Aperture?
    Notice anything else different?
To post a screen shot, you first take it, them upload it.  To take them, I use and recommend Skitch -- one of the best little apps ever.  But this ability is built into OS X.  Use Grab or Preview (search OS X Help for full directions).  In Preview, use "File→Take screen shot ... →From selection ... ".  Save the file in Preview to your drive.  In the Discussion forum click the "Insert Image" icon (a camera) and select the file you created in Preview.

  • T3i will only take picture when using view finder

Hi I'm new to the forum & relatively new to DSLR cameras. I have the t3i and love it but recently I tried to take some pictures using the view screen. It attempts to take a picture, but never actually does. If I am using the view finder it takes pictures just fine.
I asked a photographer friend to look at to see if I had accidently switched some setting. But he couldn't find anything off and suggested try a forum. So here I am

if he formatted my phone and installed a new software, does that mean I can not track him any more?
That is correct; if the iPhone is erased, you cannot track it thereafter.
Can the serial No. help in this regards?
No. An iPhone cannot be tracked solely by its serial number. The serial number will only be of help to the police in identifying you as the owner of the iPhone should they be fortunate enough to recover it.
    Regards.

  • View finder electronic noise

Hi, i am new to the community, but i have had my vixia hf G20 for over a year and have shot many hours of video on it.
Today, while my friend shot some live stuff, she claimed the view finder out fo nowhere became full of electronic noise, I.E static. And sure enough, it was! I have messed around with every button and navigated through most of the settings and to no avail.
Is it possible the connection between the view finder and the graphics card is loose/damaged, and that i could just take it apart to see?
On another note, the camcorder has 3 memories as you know, 32gb each. After tonight, whenever i select card A or B to record on, i get the error message "Check memory card". And of course i have checked to verify that they are not dirty or misplaced.
    Thanks!

    Hi berty_goldstein!
    Thanks for posting.
Based on your description and what I see in the image you included, the camcorder needs to be repaired.  To start the repair process, you'll need to complete a Repair Request on our website.

  • Can I create DNG files while at the same time keeping the original camera RAW images?

I wish to create DNG files for my existing Lightroom catalogue, but also wishe to retain the original camera RAW images. If this can be done can you please advise how I go about it as I seem only to be able to find an option for conversion to DNG only.
    Thanks

In the Conver-to-DNG dialog, you have the option to have the original Raw file deleted or not:
But, after the conversion, only the DNGs will show up in the catalog, not the original Raw images also.

  • Does the sx520hs have a view finder

just got the sx520hs.  looks like a nice camera, but I want a view finder.  This one has 2 small holes kind of where the view finder might be and I wondered if it was an accesory
or, what other camera is equivalent to the sx5250hs that does have a view finder

I spoke to soon. The SX40 has an optical zoom of 35X a max of 140X, The SX50 is 50X a max of 200X and the SX60 is 65X for a max of 260X. There is a big difference when you add the 4X digital zoom into the equation for the Max zoom which may or may not be important to you. I like having the better lens and the longer zoom available when I need it.
The SX40 ans 50 use the Digic 5 processor which is a powerful processor and the SX60 uses the newest Digic 6 processor which adds some processing power.
The SX 50 and 60 have a better lens system than the 40.
The SX60 has a sightly larrger LCD than the other 2 models.
For me a difference of 4mp is not a deal breaker but for some it might be.
There is a huge difference in prices though where Canon is selling refurbished SX40's for $135 a very good deal.
SX50's are going for $350 new and the newest SX60 is going for $500 in the Canon store.
Take you time, google your questions and reveiws online you'd be surprised at what information you can find on these. The first that comes to mind are the reveiws that you can find online for each any pretty much any model.

Cannot open camera RAW images from Sony DSC-RX100M3 camera.  Working on a Mac with Photoshop CS5 and Camera Raw 6.7?

    Bruce,
When I made the transition to digital some 8 years ago, I had tremendous help from a number of well documented websites, among which:
    http://www.luminous-landscape.com
I think a lot of stuff there to get you seriously going. Another one is:
    http://www.computer-darkroom.com
I sold all my film based stuff, except a Nikon F3 and a handful of lenses and a Paterson developing tank.
The Nikon suspiciously smells like foam mirror damping strips chemically decaying.
I sold my enlarger over the internet. The word "enlarger" caused me to be on SpamCops blacklist for a while.
I'm in this since the seventies, and I think you'll be as amazed as I was at the possibilities and control you have. And no more bags with $300 worth of film that's consumed in one shoot.
Jump in both feet! you won't be sorry. And these forums are the best help you can get.
    Good luck,
    Rob
