N95 Car Kit connectivity problems

I have a Parrot LS 3200 carkit. My phone connects ok but when I make or receive a call the LS3200 crashes, screen goes blank then reboots and reconnects to phone. I have been informed that it is a problem with N series phones. Can any one offer a solution?

Hi,
My N95 makes and receives calls perfectly. What it doesn't do is access my contacts on my phones automatically.
Perhaps try deleting the existing pairing and create a new pairing???

  • 610 Car Kit connection problem, help please!

Hi, I have a 610 and have just switched from a Nokia 8800 to the new 6500 Classic.
The 6500 doesn't seem to want to connect first up and the always comes up with a message User 1 or User 2 not found.
It offers the 'reconnect' or 'assign SIM card' options but this means that I have to input the 16 digit code (although I have turned off the authorisation request!).
When it is connected it works perfectly!
Can anyone suggest a solution please?
    Thanks
    Nigel

    Hi,
I just talked directly to Nokia to be told that the 6500 Classic isn't compatible with the 610!
They said I was extremely fortunate that it worked at all!!
Anyway, now I need either to 'downgrade' the phone to one compatible with the 610 or invest in a CK-15W which is compatible with the 6500!
Well done Nokia for an excellent piece of marketing - forcing people to constantly upgrade their technology really endears the Nokia brand!

  • N95 8gb BT Connection Problem With BMW 5 series

    Hello everyone,
I hope someone could help me with this. I just got my N95 8 gb & I have tried to connect my phone to my BMW58610 BT but it seems like it constanly drop ny itself & then coneecting again & drop & connect. I do not know how to get this problem fix. 20.2.005 30-04-08 RM-421.
And then sometimes one folder will be missing by itself for example the n-gage folder will disappear & then it will come back within seconds or maps folder will disappear & will appears back.
I would really appreciate any suggestions or help!

I had a situation whereby my N95 8gb will connect to my iDrive and sometimes after a while, when I make a call, I can hear the person I am calling but they can't hear me. This is what I have learnt from trial and error since.
I tried everything to resolve this so I am not sure which actually fixed it so I'll tell you all I did. I updated firmware on both phone (V20) and car. Deleted all pairings on both phone and car. Repaired. I must have deleted pairings and repaired at least half a dozen times before the problem mysteriously disappeared.
Another thing I have noticed is, it is better to leave the phone for a few minutes after it has connected, to allow it to download all the contacts before using it. I have had the bluetooth disconnect or the HUD malfunction when I use the phone straight away.
I had to do the same with my N96 before it would work satisfactorily. My N80, however had no such problems. Strange.

  • Bluetooth car kit connectivity issue after IOS 8.1.2 update

After the IOS 8.1.2 update I cannot connect my IPhone with the Bluetooth car kit (hands free) system of my car.
Before the update connectivity was perfect, after the IOS 8.1.2 update the car kit does not find the IPhone any longer.
To solve this issue I deleted both the car kit and the IPhone from the paired devices list of both (my car and the Iphone) and tried to pair them again - no success. The car kit just does not finds the Iphone any longer.
    Please, help!!!

Just to share the way I finally solved the problem - might be helpful to somebody else.
I didn't noticed before that the IOS 8.1.2 update changed automatically the name of my Iphone from the one I've given to it before to just "Phone".
I re-named the Iphone (just gave a new name to it by going to Settings -> General -> About -> Name) and then the car kit managed to find the phone very quickly via Bluetooth.

  • Iphone car kit echo problem

I have a Nokia CK-7W car kit installed in my car, has always worked seamlessly with a variety of cellphones ( nokia, sony etc ) - have just got the 8gb iphone in the UK and in the car it sounds great. However, whoever I'm calling complains of a bad echo on their end of the conversation. Turning the volume down in car helps subdue this but doesn't solve it....
    Any ideas appreciated !

I think you could be on the right track Daan.
The problems I experienced with the CK-7W and Nokia 6300 (see earlier post above) seem to have been resolved with a Nokia software update for the 6300 (v 5.5), I read somewhere that the Nokia software update fixed a problem with the 6300 handset microphone staying active when connected to the CK-7W. All the echo problems seem to have stopped and callers agree the call quality is now improved.
I vaguely remember reading on these forums of someone reporting that adjusting the volume on the iPhone itself helped with echo problems.
Alternatively, have you tried turning down the speaker volume with the CK-7W control button when a call is active, this also may help.
I hope this is sorted for you soon, I know how frustrating these issues can be!!!

  • N95 8BG "WiFi Connection problems" and "Web: no ga...

Like many users, I could not get my new Nokia (N95 8GB) to work with my WiFi. After many attempts, using the various ideas posted, I came up with a solution that works reliably for me.
First lets deal with "WiFi Connection problems"
    Menu/Tools/Settings/Connection/Wireless LAN
    'Show WLAN availability' = 'Yes'
'Scan for networks' = 'Every 5 minutes'
Some users have suggested choosing 'Advanced Settings' from the 'Options' menu, changing 'Automatic configuration' to 'Disabled' and the either setting 'RTS threshold' to '2346', or setting 'Power saving' to 'Disabled'. I tried both of these but they did not make any difference in my case. However they may make a difference for you, hence their inclusion here.
    Menu/Tools/Settings/Connection/Access Points
Choose 'New access point' from the 'Options' menu
    'Data bearer' = 'Wireless LAN'
'WLAN network name' = If your network is set to broadcast its SSID, use 'Search for networks' then select your network from the list, otherwise use 'Enter manually' and type in the SSID.
'Connection name' = anything you like, but I use the SSID
'Network status' = not sure about this maybe someone can confirm, but I think if the SSID is broadcast then it is 'public', otherwise it is 'private'.
'WLAN network mode' = match this to your access point configuration. Mine is set to 'Infrastructure', so I do not cover the ad-hoc scenario here.
'WLAN security mode' = again I am using WEP so have not covered other scenarios.
'WLAN security settings' = these should match you access point configuration.
'Homepage' = whatever you like. I use 'http://www.google.co.uk', just so that when I start browsing I get something reliable, useful, and dependable. If Google fails to appear it usually means there is something wrong with your config.
Now lets handle the dreaded "Web: no gateway reply"
    Menu/Tools/Settings/Connection/Access Points
Scroll down to highlight the new access point and choose 'Edit' from the 'Options' menu. Now choose 'Advanced settings' from the 'Options' menu.
Assuming you network used IPv4, which most do in my experience, select 'IPv4 settings'. I don't know about IPv6, and don't use a proxy so these are not covered.
The values you enter in 'IPv4 settings', depend upon your network/router settings, and whether you have a DHCP server or not.
Assume your a router IP Address, on the LAN side, is 192.168.0.1, and that it has a DHCP server set to serve addresses in the range 192.168.0.64 to 192.168.0.192, using subnet 255,255,255,0. Since the mobile does not seem able to get an IP Address from the DHCP server we give it a static address 192.168.0.55. Notice this is outside the range sereved by te DHCP server to avoid conflicts.
    We end up with:
    'Phone IP address = '192.168.0.55'
    'Subnet mask' = '255,255,255,0'
    'Default gateway' = '192.168.0.1'
    'DNS address' = 'user defined'
    'Primary DNS address' = '192.168.0.1'
    'Secondary DNS address' = '0.0.0.0'
I used something similar and was at last able to browse the web via wifi.
I hope all of the above helps someone out there.

I have just experienced this problem having been using the WiFi network for months without problems. I tries all the suggestions on these forums including the power settings, turning off WEP, and the fixed IP suggestion and none worked. I even reinstalled the firmware and reconfigured everything. It turned out to be the router. I had rebooted it several times to no effect but the DHCP always gave the N95 the same IP address lease. So I changed the range of IP addresses the DHCP could lease and restarted the N95. It got a new IP and was back working again.
If at first you don't succeed, try again. Then quit. There's no use being a damn fool about it.

  • Nokia 8800 car kit connection

I have recently bought a car that came with a standard car kit, i think it is the most popular business kit, the CK-7W. This fits all recent models of nokia pone accept the 8800 and maybe a few others, i was wondering if there is a connection i can get to connect my 8800 to this kit, i am currently using a Nokia PPH-1 car kit that plugs into the cigarette lighter port but this is poor quality and a phone of this quality should surely have some sort of connection available. Can anybody advise me of this...
    Thanks!

the Nokia 8800 should work with a ck-7w, you may have to reset the memory to make room for new connections. Press and hold Nokia button on dash till it bleeps, if this dont work find the brain box and unplug, it may need a power reset.

  • Car Kit voicedial problem (ck-7w & 6300)

    Hi
I have a ck-7w. When it was paired with my 6233 the voicedialling work brilliantly in the car. Now I have a 6300. If I am travelling in my car at more than 10mph then I ALWAYS get "No Match Found". This never happened with the 6233. My 6300 is on v4.7 and the 6233 v4.91.
Please help, as without voicedialing the car kit is useless!
    Daniel

You will have to re-record your voice tags whilst there is lots of road noise. Then it will work fine, I had to do this with mine.

  • N95 Wifi WPA connection problem

I recently bought the Nokia N95 and everything is working except the wifi WPA part. I DL the latest firmware (v20.0.015) but that didn't help.
Everytime i connect with my home wifi lan it asks for a password. It doesn't matter what password i try it says "invalid pre-shared wpa key" So even simple passwords like "12345678" or "merryxmas" don't work. If i change from WPA-PSK to WEP 128 bit WEP key then it works ???
This must be a N95 error ? I also tried tkip and aes but that didn't help. My Phone AP settings r:
    Network - public
    WPA/WPA-2
    Pre-shared key
    WPA-2 only - off
Does anybody has a working WPA wifi N95 ???

If I connect to the PC as "Mass Storage" I can see the phone as a removable disk and go into the file structure, just as I could in PC Suite mode. However, if try to drag and drop a file from my N95 to the desktop the phone bleeps intermittently every 2-10 seconds, the USB connection icon on the phone display will blink in time to the phone bleep. The "Copying" bar on the PC shows the file transfer occurring but extremely slowly. E.g. A 4Mb MP4 showed 3 minutes on the progress bar but after 10 minutes was barely a sixth of the way through.
It appears that the connection betweeen the phone and PC is only active when the phone bleeps, in the periods of silence there is seemingly no activity. I think this because if I look at the file structure on the phone, while the trasfer is taking place, the window will freeze until the next bleep of the phone.
Maybe someone can recommend a brand and model USB2.0 PCI card (preferably also with firewire) so that I can buy one that I know works?

  • Car kit automatic A2DP connection

I'm not entirely sure if this is a problem on my phone, or with the car kit, but I figured if I post on both ends, someone might know the answer.
With my N95 and N97, as soon as I turn on my car (equipped with Nokia CK-100), I automatically get connected to BT HFP and A2DP profiles.  The car kit will tell me, "Phone connected."  A second later, "Player connected."  With the N8, the car kit will only connect to just the phone automatically.  For the player to connect while the car is on, I have to open up the music player and play a song, which will then force N8 to make the A2DP connection.  So when that happens, you hear a 1.5 second message saying, "Player connected" followed by music that is already 2 to 3 seconds into the song.  I thought it was perhaps the Car Kit getting full with the list of paired devices (memory is for 8 pairings), but clearing the list doesn't help.  I thought it was the Car Kit firmware, so I upgraded it to 4.401, no luck.  Then when I paired my old N97 and N95, both HFP and A2DP connections were made automatically when I boot up my car as expected!  But not the N8.
Problem with the Car Kit, or problem with S^3?

The N8 on PR1 is still not a good excuse for the many bugs that it has.  It's just unimaginable that something that worked solidly with S60v3 and S60v5 and suddenly with the improved Symbian OS a mature and functional feature suddenly has a bug?  I just don't understand how that could've made it into the N8.  Is it the OS?  Or is it the BT chipset?  In either case, quality control got missed.
Thanks, though, for letting me know that I'm not the only one to experience this.  I'll stop trying to fix this as this is a problem outside of my control.

  • Possible design flaw in Nike+iPod kit causes connection problem

I've been having some similar receiver/sensor connection problems as documented on these forums. Here's a page and video that diagnoses the problem as being a possible contact connection issue. Try squeezing your Nano to see if it makes contact. I'll try mine when I get home.

I think you meant you have the iPod nano software, version 1.2. iTunes 1.2 will definitely not work. 6.0.5 is the current version of iTunes The iPod options appear after plugging in your iPod, then choosing preferences in iTunes (or clicking the little iPod icon in the bottom right of the iTunes window). Nike + iPod prefs are in there too.

  • E51 muting car kit in silent mode upon receiving S...

    Hi,
I've recently changed my 6230i to an E51 and have a new problem when using it with the CK-7W car kit connected via bluetooth. I have no sounds associated for receiving an SMS but it keeps muting the car radio for the action - just for a second but it's really annoying. It works ok for calls but I can not stop it from muting the radio for something that should not make a sound. It used to work great with 6230i. Any ideas?

Just a shot in the dark.  Is your phone setup with Vibrating Alert set to on?  Maybe the act of vibrating is causing it to dim the audio?

  • TomTom car kit audio

I currently get very good audio quality from connecting the iPhone directly to a cassette adaptor through the car speakers to play iPod content (2001 BMW M3 Harman Kardon system).
However when I connect the cassette adapter into the line-out of a TOMTOM car kit for music playback (when using sat nav simultaneously), suddenly the audio becomes very distorted, and despite playing around with EQ settings on both the iPod and the car system, cannot manage to obtain decent quality sound.
Unfortunately my car is not modern enough to have a direct audio input, and so the cassette adapter seems the only option for the moment.
Would anyone have any kind suggestions to make it possible to secure good quality sound through the car kit please? Would a better quality cassette adapter help for instance? For what it is worth, I think that the car kit is great for docking, positioning, hands-free calling and enhanced GPS performance - and so it would be a real bonus to secure some quality music playback as well.
Really appreciate your comments, many thanks

    Aaron,
Thanks for your point about volume limits - I raised that with TomTom:
"The level of distortion that I get when playing music through the audio lineout of the car kit is exactly the same as when the volume limit for the iPod is set too high when connecting it directly to the car stereo. This is the reason why you must set a balance of about 70% volume on the iPod and the rest of it set by the car audio volume in order to obtain a clean sound overall.
As soon as you connect the iPod via the car kit lineout, you automatically lose the ability to set volume limits on the iPod, and you can only control the volume using the car system.
There is a volume limit setting on the iPod (through general settings), but this becomes irrelevant as soon as the car kit becomes involved.
Therefore the problem does not lie with the car system or the cassette adapter, it lies with the car kit.
I just wonder why you have to lose the ability to control volume settings on the iPod as soon as you connect to the car kit.
Can you suggest a solution for this?"
    I received the following replies:
"I cannot offer you an immediate suitable solution for this challenge. I have sent your question to our 2nd line technical department.
I hope to have an answer for you as soon as possible, please bear with us while we find a solution for your query."
    And then:
"Unfortunately, there is no way to adjust the volume settings once connected to the Car Kit. The only option from that point is on the audio device that the Car Kit connects to."
So it seems there is no solution to our problem - we just have to accept it.
Please let me know if you think of anything else.
    Cheers
