N95 Clock System Error
My N95 has suddenly started giving me a "System Error" when I try to access either the Clock program or the Time and Date update page from the Tools menu. Otherwise the phone works normally and displays the correct time and date on the display during normal operation.
I have tried to perform a "Factory Reset" and this does seem to cure the problem, but the error returns as soon as I perform a Memory Restore using the Nokia PC Suite backup/restore utility.
Is there any way to cure this problem without losing all my data and having to re-enter it again manually??

after updateing the software on my N95-3 I am unable to get into the clock app. I figure an answer to that would be to do the software upgrade again but im sick of lossing things such as the predictive text words that the phone does not pick up but that I "spell" myself then the phone remembers....and simply the link to pc suit not picking up all the imiages and haveing to copy the same information back to the comp. Any answers?

N95 with firmware V 12.0.013 19-06-07 RM-159 Nokia N95 (B1.01)
Has anyone experienced the same error before? Any ideas on how to solve it?
Thanks,
GibaLatest firmware for N95 is 20.0.015. Check with your product code on:
http://europe.nokia.com/A4577224
Search the forums, though, for more info about this update, because there are some issues with SIP and VoIP. Overall, though, the phone increases its battery life, memory performance and camera image quality. The newer firmware is available since November 26th.

N-Gage says "System error" on my N95 8GB
i instaled the N-gage application and when i try to open it on my N95 8GB it says "system error". can anyone help?
thanksIs it an European or North American (USA/Canada) version of the N95 8GB?
When you installed it, were you asked whether you want to install it in phone memory or a memory card? If so, which one did you choose?
What's the firmware version of your phone? What language?
Where did you download N-Gage from? The n-gage.com web site, I presume?
Any errors during the installation?
Have you had the earlier, unoffcial and unsupported version that was available on some web sites during the "First Access" phase (February/March) installed on the phone previously?
Note also that there are N-Gage specific support forums on
http://forums.arena.n-gage.com/
Check out if the error has been discussed and resolved there, already. -
"Voice System Error" on my N95!
Hi, I am not able to use voice Recognition dialing with my Nokia N95 as I get this error : "Voice system Error".
This occurs when I long press contacts for example.
Does anyone know how to resolve this problem?
Thanks,
GNI've just fixed a similar, but not identical, problem on my N95 . This fix is quick and easy and doesn't need a firmware install, hard reset or rebuild. Here's what I posted to another forum:
Managed to figure out how to fix this on my N95 with a bit of research and tinkering...
First, select Tools / Utilities / Voice Comm. / Settings / Remove voice adapts. Then selectTools / Settings / General / Personalisation / Language / Phone Language and set it to another language. You'll be asked to restart the phone. Once restarted, remove the voice adaptations again. Now change the language back to your own and restart again. Then reset the voice adaptations again. Now try the voice command button again - it should work. I think the resetting voice adaptations bit may be unnecessary, but definitely the language change is what sorted it for me.
Failing this, try turning off the voice synthesiser in voice command settings. It will still take voice commands but won't read stuff out.
Pleased I fixed something for once, without the need for a hard reset and rebuild. -
"System Error" when accessing Clock - 6110 Navigat...
Hi all,
Did a software upgrade last week using the Nokia update software.
Said it all worked fine, but now, when I try and access the Clock to change alarms, etc. I get a message saying "System Error"
I've reset to factory defaults and done another update but no joy.
HELP!!
DaveAThis probably means that corrupt data concerning the clock or alarm was backed up and restored.
Do the backup with PC Suite, reformat the phone again, and restore only the data that you know you need (example, contacts, messages etc.), don't leave all boxes ticked on the restore.
You need a fairly recent version of PC Suite to do the partial backup/restore, the latest is at www.nokia.com/pcsuite. -
N95 8GB Nokia MAPS System Error
Guys,
When I try to load the application on my phone, I am getting System error.
I still have a warranty. Do I have to service it or reinstall it myself.
ThanksHi denskits
Nokia Maps is pre-installed with firmware so perhaps try a "hard reset" after backing up essential phone data in case of software corruption.
As advised previously you could also check with Nokia Software Updater to see whether option to update or re-install existing firmware is present.
There is probably a more recent version of Nokia Maps v2.0_3204 available for your N95 8GB to download here, although whether it will install if problems with original installation is another matter:

I took my N95 to a Care Point for software update. After restoring all data from memory card, everytime i try to open clock, i got error message saying system error. What can i do?
To do a hard rest:
-Turn off your phone and backup everything
-Press and hold- 3,* and the green call button
-While doing that, turn your phone on
-When you see signs of life, let go of the buttons
That's right people, I'm back. Where have I been? I have been getting a life, away from this electric madness. -
System error 86 while mapping c$
Hi, thanks for your time. I'm having the next issue:
I work on a domain network. Usually, we image computers and then join them to a domain.
However, i find it impossible to do anything to an unjoined computer because i get system error 86. Im trying to map c$ from my computer (which is in a domain) with the local administrator credentials from the other computer. The command goes like this:
net use k: \\ipaddress\c$ password /u:localadmin
output:
System error 86 has occurred.
The specified network password is not correct
I have checked many times the local administrator password and im typing it right, i have disabled the firewall, i have run all the services on the computer, and enabled netbios. Nothing works.
The problem is not exactly trying to map c$, i have noticed that once i'm able to map this drive, i can also connect to WMI on this machine from a remote computer. The objective of this is that i'm trying to run a couple of powershell scrits that involve
getting a wmi-object from a remote computer (this doesnt work either because i get ACCESS_DENIED using local admin credentials from the machine im trying to access.).
Im doing this from a Win7 machine to a XP machine. I've tried XP to XP but it doesnt work either.
gustavo morales IT department - Desktop SupportOK, I had this problem this morning, and I couldn't find a good answer, including this thread. I'm hoping that giving a thorough answer will help others.
scenario:
You have a computer in a domain (like your work computer). you would like to connect to a workgroup computer and see its files (like your home computer). you cannot browse to the computer and if you try to map the network path you get "system error 86" or system
error 1326". (To map the network path you may try NET USE \\computername\path password /USER:computername\username)
resolution:
To troubleshoot this please try to setup the ideal setup first. Once you have it going you can change to settings you like:
1. disable the workgroup/home computers firewall
you need to do this since both file sharing and kerberos can be stopped by the firewall
2. turn on file sharing on the workgroup/home computer on the network card used
3. create an administrator account on the workgroup/home computer that has the same username AND password as your domain useraccount on the domain computer
4. on your workgroup/home computer, start local security policies secpol.msc and turn on
a) local policies:audit policy: audit account login events: failure
b) security options: Network security: LAN Manager authentication level: Send LM & NTLM - use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated
c) network access:sharing and security model for local accounts : Classic
5. Make sure both computer clocks are showing correctly
Hope this helps -
Hi all,
I have a problem with my Nokia N95 8GB. Basically I don't seem to be able to upload photos to my Ovi album anymore. When I try to do this it tries to scale the photo and then after a few seconds I get the message 'system error 400' or something like that. I have tried several different ways of connecting to the net and this doesn't work, and have also downloaded the relevant upload software again too and this didn't work either. Does anyone have any ideas for me?

Gneral:system error message appears when I try to ...
when try to open any music songs I put in N95 8g even that songs come with N95 8g this message appear >>gneral:system error
what I can do??Hi tito_6646,
Just saw this thread. You can try to perform a restore to factory default (I believe this is what lupos0_1 meant), which should be available under the Menu, Tools, Settings, Phone, General, Orig. phone settings.
If this doesn't help, you can try and format your N95 8GB. This can be done via the following steps:
1. Off your N95 8GB.
2. Press the buttons *, 3 and the call.
3. While holding the above buttons, power on your N95 8GB.
4. Do not release the buttons until you see the message "Formatting". (Note that I own a N80, which doesn't prompt me this message, though I read that it does on N95 8GB.)
WARNING: This method will wipe out your data and applications on your N95 8GB, so do backup your data and be prepared to reinstall your applications.
Hope this helps. Let us know.
To All: Can anyone advise if the internal 8GB will be wiped out via the Format/Hard-reset operation? In addition, anyone know on how to backup the activiation code for the Spiderman 3 movie?
Cheers. -
Error: [-9045]: System error: BD Root check
Hi all,
I have a MaxDB 7.6.0.37 running on SLES10 based on VmWare ESX 3.0
The Database is a small test database which is in ONLINE state an can be easily switch OFFLINE/ADMIN/ONLINE all the way.
I do an SELECT statement thru the SQL Studio and got correct result tables shown.
I do the same thing via JDBC an get an Error: [-9045]: System error: BD Root check. The FAQ told that it may be an hardware error, but since we are on a vmware plattform, there can't be a real hardware error.
What does this error mean and how could I solve them ?
I tried to recover from backup but that doesn't work.
