N95 DST bug

Well, have just had my first DST transition since getting the N95 (of course), here in Australia going +1hour... anyway, the clock automatically went +1hour, but so did all my alarms!! The alarms should stay at the same time (localtime).
I assume all you Euro users with DST in your regions would have had the reverse, right, with the alarms being reduced by one hour?

N95 8GB bug?

Over the last few days, I experienced a few call related problems:
1. Calls made and the caller can't hear me but I could hear them.
2. Calls made and I couldn't hear the ringing tone but the receiver's phone rang.
3. Calls received and I can't hear the caller but they could hear me.
When it began, I thought it was because I was surfing. But now I am sure it's happening randomly.
Anyone experiencing the same issue? I thought this was a long-gone-N95 bug.

After formatting the mass storage, it was fine for the first few times. However, until someone sms me or call me when i was recording video, the bug came back again!!~~ Any other solutions? and please release new fw update. This fw 30 is buggy. Full of bug!!~~

N95 8gb bug is back!!~~

the bug for n95 8gb on fw 15 is BACK!!~~i din face the suddenly lag when recodring a video on fw 20. But in fw30, i'm facing it again. The video recording suddenly lag and record and lag and record. I only can stop this bug from happening is changing the mass memory to phone memory for keeping the file(the directory of the file). But it's not a forever solution since the phone memory only takes about 4 min of video. So is there any forever solution? Thanks

IOS 7.0.3 Calendar has DST Bug - at least for US CT

Informational -- I awoke this am to find a bug with iOS 7.0.3 DST calendar display. It was discovered a week ago when Europe went to standard time. It impacts phones in Central Time (Chicago) but not ET. Don't know about other zones.
Phone alarms and appointment times are correct, but the red line that indicates current time on the standard calendar view is one hour off. Impacts Calendars 5 too, I guess they call same API.
Very annoying. Apple Insider and Lifehacker wrote about it last week.
I can think of ways Apple could spend some of their billions.

I noticed that on my phone today (4s) and my son's (5s). The Red line indicates the correct time, but the location on the day view of the calendar is incorrect. I've reported this via Apple feedback, maybe you could do the same. www.apple.com/feedback and click on the appropriate link.

N95 Maps bugs

This is *almost* a usable satnav, but some points need fixing:
- Charge via USB cable!
- Need a menu option "navigate to this contact" from inside contacts
- Maps navigate to contact fails because searches return no match, no default country, doesn't use postal code
Anyone working on these?

N95 Maps - bug or fault on me???

I just got my N95 couple of days ago and I must say I just love it:-). I haven´t noticed any bugs or faults on the phone so far. It´s been working very nicely. But when I go to MAPS it sais: "Network usage disabled. You can enable it from application settings."
I have tried to change settings but I haven´t really found the right settings - I guess. I have been to applications but there isn´t anything to change that would fix my problem. Anyhow, I can start the Map- application although this sentence will pop up every time I will go there.
If someone could help me with this I would be really greatful.

If you open maps, get past that message and goto options>settings>network change the option in Network to "when needed"
Beware though of data transfer though, as depending on what you do or if you have a map already in your phone if will attempt to download maps, voices etc
Data transfer through the network in most cases means £££, unless you choose wlan...

Strange Calendar DST bug?

I've seen a number of threads about syncing with MobileMe and events being one hour out with respect to daylight savings time. Here's the weird thing that I've noticed today - I'm in London and the clocks went back an hour this morning: on my iPod and iPad, the time displays correctly. On MobileMe and on my iPod all my calendar events are set at the right time. On my iPad, my events are entered at the correct time, but the time indicator (red notch on the left hand side of the calendar that extends a line across the day/week/list view and indicates where you are in the day) is one hour out - i.e. it hasn't observed the change in daylight savings. Anyone else experienced this or found a fix already?

I'm also in the U.S. eastern time zone and have the same anomaly. The time reported at the top of the screen is correct but the red dot and line on the calendar still shows DST. The calendar on my Mac is correct so I forced a calendar sync toward MobileMe. It did not fix the problem.
This is weird. I would expect that standard time would work correctly and that a glitch like this would impact DST. Oh well, perhaps the new IOS will fix it.

DST bug converting dates

I'm using BPEL 10.1.2.0.2 in GMT+01 (UK BST) timezone and am noticing incorrect conversion being carried out by xp20:format-dateTime and ora:formatDate() functions.
I am creating a dateTime variable by adding a duration of PT17H30M to the value returned from xp20:current-date() e.g.
xp20:add-dayTimeDuration-to-dateTime(xp20:current-date(), PT17H30M)
This is then assigned to a xsd:dateTime variable in BPEL. The BPEL variable contains a value of 2007-04-18T17:30:00+00:00 which is incorrect, as the timezone offset portion should actually be +01:00. I think I may have read somewhere that BPEL ignores the timezone offset's so this may not actually be an issue.
If I then format the contents of this variable with either xp20:format-dateTime() or ora:formatDate(), the results are wrong e.g.
xp20:format-dateTime() returns a time portion of 18:30:00+00:00 which is incorrect as it should either be 17:30:00+01:00 or 16:30:00+00:00..
ora:formatDate() returns a time portion of 17:30:00+01:00 which is correct if we ignore the timezone portion of the input value which was +00:00.
Is there a fix for this?

I have noticed a related problem concerning xp20:current-dateTime() and the database adapter.
xp20:current-dateTime() generates a datetime value such as 2007-05-16T09:45:39+00:00 which contains an offset of +00:00. Our timezone is in fact +01:00. The time value is correct as it is 09:45, however the offset is incorrect.
When the database adapter processes this value, an hour is added to the time element producing an incorrect value of 2007-05-16 10:45:39 when querying the table from SQLPlus.
Are there any patches/fixes available for this problem?

In the last 19 October, in any city of Brazil started of date summer time (DST), and the IP Phone models 7940/7960 not changed the time automatically. After restart physical or logical the IP Phone stay the correct time.

There are a number of DST bugs that affect CUCM 8.6. I would have a look
at the attached bugs . Did you install any of the DST/TZ Timezone updates for CUCM?

Hi , am really having a bad time after being a nokia customer all my life, now since n70, that was very great, came to n81, good but bad camera, but it was fast, no bugs, n95 8gb, bugs, starting with wgz, apps which go empty when u hold menu button and take up alot of ram, now am using 5800 , utterly depressed. Alot of bugs, i'll mention all of them today and also what it lacks, 1. On all nokia phones, the im app has never worked, remove it in the next firmware update,2.the pulsating touch on 5800 level 1 is higher than level 2. 3. Add some type writting sound on the kb,4. Video playback reallh sucks!!! N it has a large screen, what for?5. Music player, that one whch is from n97, when launched, on all songs, scrolling then stopping takes you to the top again, the head set controls fail atimes, you cant fast forward a song. 6. When yiu turn on the phone on landscape, the full screen kboard disapears and the rotation is disabled completely.7. The browser has alotof bugs going in and out of full screen mode.8. And why dont we have good games? Ngage? Ngage 1. Was better than ngage2, and now you give us java games, utterly slow, i know that processor can run much better games, ngage 1 was 220mhz. Tha memory full error when i am jist running one app isnt amusing at all, and the camera, make the image mode same as video mode.... Do somethingm i feel like selling my phone right now, but i have faith u will listen to me, n hey, resistive touch screen can now do multitiouch, we need it. 10. I just got the iPhone, and in addition to the popular DST bug I noticed one more.
All my outlook appointments are 1hr early. Do others have this issue?
I have tried re-syncing and changing to manual time setting etc, but no joy.

Published iCal Wrong with Daylight Savings!

I publish two iCal calendars. I live in Hawaii and we do NOT use Daylight Savings Time. Last night .Mac apparently adjusted DSL so all my times are wrong by one hour! How do I fix this?
(I already tried Unpublish and then Publish again. And I tried turning Time Zone Support on and off in iCal. Neither one works.)
Any other ideas?

Alarm problems?!

Hey guy's hopefully you can help me with this. When i set the alarm for the morning i set two or three seperate ones. Trouble is when the first has gone off the phone prompts me "would i like to turn the phone on" As it happens no i wouldn't but unless i wait for and respond to this prompt (something not easily done when i've been woken up at 4am) then the second and third alarm do not sound thus making me late. Also something completely unrelated to this post but just noticed as i typed it out on my n96, how can i delete words that i've added to my dictionary? Thanks for any help.

Given the combination of antenna issues, proximity sensor problems and now the DST bug it is time to stop pretending that Apple products are infallible.
Although I don't have an antenna issue nor have I had a proximity sensor problem, I have never "pretended" nor do I believe that Apple product are infallible. Saying this is is both unnecessary, childish, and renders any opinion you have on this subject or on any Apple products as worthless.
Also a bug is when something unexpected happens.

ALARM - why is it an hour later, rather than an hour earlier?

Does anybody know why the alarm is going off an hour late - I would have thought if anything, it should go off an hour early? My alarm used to go off at 7am each day - 7am has now become 6am, and yet the alarm is going off at 8am (which was 9am previously). So if it's working from an internal clock which hasn't changed, my alarm is now going off 2 hours later than a couple of days ago, for no reason! Hope this makes sense?! I might just be being stupid here, but this is really annoying me and I can't find any reason for it anywhere - people just keep saying, 'the iphone thinks it's still BST' but surely that would make the alarm go off an hour earlier?

If there was no adjustment made for the time change it would have gone off early. Probably two programers, working independently, put in adjustment code in different places. Either one of the adjustments would have been correct, but both together made it off one hour in the other direction.
A fix is on the way.

(Daylight saving time should be abolished. If people want different business hours in the summer, change the business hours, not the clocks.)
