N95, gallery frozen, camera freezing, messaging pl...

Have had my N95 for about 2 weeks, was working brilliantly until a yesterday.
Did have a lot of video's on phone, which I downloaded onto my Mac. I then sent two images to my phone via bluetooth and saved them in the gallery.
Went to view them and the gallery wasn't responding. Would open the page, but no thumbnails were visible, doesn't respond to any key except the red exit key.
Erased video's and most images by connecting via USB to my Mac uploading them to iPhoto and deleted memory card contents.
Didn't solve problem, have 4 images on phone, however gallery does same thing when I open it. Shows the boxes but no images, only responds to red exit key.
Also the messaging key (top left blue) is playing up big style. Sometimes it opens up the menu partly, i.e. says Messaging accross top of screen, but rest is blank. Other times it's unresponsive.
It has also begun switching itself off when it has 3 bars of battery.
And the camera is freezing aswell. When you open the cover sometimes nothing happens on the screen, sometimes the rectangle where normally the image appears comes up but nothing else.
Am running V12.0.013.
Have tried doing a soft reset hasn't worked.
Have done a hard reset, which has restored the mesagging and the camrea to working order. But am still having problems with the gallery. The test photo I took on the phone works and is visible in the gallery which now opens. However the photo I sent via bluetooth to my phone comes up as the box cut in two on the gallery yet is visible when viewed as a message, and can be used succesfully as wallpaper when set to do this from the message it was sent in.
Anyone got any ideas? Is thi gonna keep happening? Have I just got a faulty handset? Am so frustrated and annoyed!!!

Yep, have done a full format of the phone twice. First by *#7370#, and then with your method. The camera works having done this, but the gallery still freezes, in fact now it won't even open it, it just freezes the main menu when you try to open it.
And randomly, I swear I lost an item on the menu when I did the full format the way you suggested. Now there are only 11 icons, and I'm sure there were 12 originally! I've got contacts, messaging, calender, music player, gallery, maps, web, download, tools, applications, and office.
This is such a dissappointment...

i have been having the same problem today. I have however narrowed it down further: when I am zoooming in on a shot, take the shot, then slide to another mode like from a still shot to video (without uzooming),= freezing. I am taking my iPhone back to apple to see what they say if I don't an answer on the forums here. Not happy with this btw!

Nokia N95-1 - Main Camera & Accelerometer Problems...

Over on our forums, N95users.com/forum, there is a steady increase in members experiencing these problems where their main camera, and accelerometer do not work as they should.
This is with the N95-1 model.
Several members have reported that since upgrading their handsets firmware to V30, they lost the use of their main camera, and when enabling ASR, (Auto Screen Rotation) the phone either freezes, or crashes, and ends up going round in a continuous loop, with the only way to resolve the issue is to remove the battery, as trying to switch off the device does not work.
At first, when I first started reading about members experiencing this issue, I assumed, that these members may of dropped their N95 at some point, causing hardware damage to the Accelerometer, which we know the main camera uses also, thus resulting in the combination of the two issues.
Now that there are more several registered members experiencing these problems after upgrading their firmware to either V30, or V31, not to mention many other owners no doubt who are not registered, I can only post here in the hope that someone in the know at Nokia may read this, and investigate the issue further, and try and resolve it in a future firmware release.
Its clearly a firmware related problem, hence my posting here on behalf of all the members of our forums who have posted for help, and advice with these issues.
I will link this thread within N95users.com and try, and get as many members to post up in here too, in the hope they will be heard.
If you own an N95-1, and also have experienced these problems as detailed above, please reply in this thread please.

Hi there! I've manage to solve my problem! I've bought the back camera (of a N95-2) and the front camera and installed them on my N95-1. And now works fine.
I've noticed that I couldn't hear the click associated with the opening of the shutter. So I knew there was something wrong with the back camera. I saw the opportunity of nice deal on E-Bay, of N95-2 5Mpx camera, and it’s the same for the N95-1. I’ve got it on the phone and the accelerometer and the back camera worked perfectly. But the front camera continued not to work, it appeared 9999 photos left (or something like that) and I couldn’t see an image. I’ve bought a new one, from E-bay, also, and now everything in the phone works perfectly for the past few weeks.
Note that I’m using the 31.0.17 firmware. But this is kind of strange, because both cameras stopped working after firmware update. I don’t know if they were damaged during the update process. For now I’ll stick to this firmware leaving updates alone.

Gallery and camera update for Belle FP2.

I just installed the update which is available today via software update using Nokia Suite.
I'm happy that I got back the mark option to send multiple files.
There's an extra preference option provided in camera but it is still taking time for the camera to start after phone is started.

After the recent update of gallery and camera on 808 and 701, which allows finally the multiple selection, I've found on both devices that if you select 2 or more photos in the gallery and then you send them by email, the email app closes suddenly and you can find the message with attached photos in drafts. But just 2 photos. If you select 3 or more, only 2 will be attached. If you choose just one, it works as previously, you open a new message and then you can edit it etc.
Have you the same issue?
Yes, everybody had got this. It's always been there. On the 700 and on the 808, FP1 and FP2. Actually the gallery/camera update has improved it a bit. One can now email 2-3 pics. Before the update even 1 pic rarely worked.
Really serious problem with no organization of the report without album and all photos in one place has been reported ?? course the problem is not solved in any way with the extra apps from the store which is slow without a good support

The issue seems to be caused by the mechanism involved in the Send / Email dialogue which is present in the Gallery app, and in various other apps which also fail the same way.
Whereas if you start up the email app, create a fresh email and then add the pics (as attachments) to it, you can send as many as you like, with the email size limited only by the various SMTP server limits. I have emailed 50MB emails, though most people are limited to about 10MB by their ISP or network.

N95 - Does your camera clicks when auto focus (half-pressed)?
When i press the camera button half way through it makes a noticeable "click" noise after locking on an object.
It doesn't make the clicking noise when i press the camera button one time without manually auto focus.
Any ideas?

Yep, exactly that.
Green - Focus lock acheived - OK to take picture and it should come out in focus.

Macbook air camera freezes when finish recording video

Photobooth camera freezes everytime I record a video and then stop. It also does not save the video.

If restarting your Mac does not correct the problem, reinstall OS X.

Have you tried resetting your iPad?
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds).
No data will be lost.

If you open the recovery drive (partition) it should only have a single folder (Recovery).
To make sure that your not saving restore points to that drive.
See:
Start, Control Panel, System, System Protection tab. Make sure the D drive partition is set to OFF so that it does not save there.

Yup, i have the same issue, i reported this with apple and there is ticket opened for me with
the engineering section. more that month still not solved. I was hope after update to IOS 8.1.3 to fix!
But not fixed yet.

Screen frozen on system message

I am unable to slide to unlock the screen.

You have to put iPhone into Recovery Mode and Restore. Open iTunes on your computer. Connect iPhone to computer with USB Cable. Hold both home and power buttons for about 20 seconds until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. Click the Restore button of iTunes.

Was shipped today, October 8, but I don't know if this "GSM-CAN" means taht is locked or unlocked!

"GSM-CAN" means that it was a GSM iPhone sold in Canada. It doesn't indicate anything regarding lock status. If you purchased the iPhone from the online Apple Store, then to the best of my knowledge, they don't sell anything other than unlocked iPhones.

How much space is your Other using? You may be able to reduce.

hello, i have an iphone 4 and i got it just after they first came out! whenever
i go to take a photo the camera freezes and then do you know when an old tv had no signal in it went all crackly and ack and
white thats what happens to the sreen! need help ;)

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these steps in order until the issue is resolved.
