N95 help with ring tones

Hi all
Just received a n95 as a gift but have a problem with the the ring tones.
Ive downloaded a couple of tunes and transfered them from windows media player onto the phone & then to the ring tone list. This is where the problem starts, when i use the tune as my ring tone and someone rings me it plays for about a minute then the call gets diconnected and registers as a missed call
can someone help please

Receiving 1 MMS text with ring tones Questions.

I have a phone that can only have ring tones added via enhanced text (MMS/pics and vid). My questions are:
1. What is the cost to send 1 of these types of text....does the actual size of the attached ring tones matter?
2, If the size of files does not matter in regards to cost of this text, what is the maximum amount of kb or mb
that can be sent in 1 MMS text?
I have only sent one of these types of texts via my email account to add 4 ring tones to my phone. Some of them
were not loud enough when actually used on the phone. I would like to add many more to my phone, but want
to understand the fees I would get if doing so. I only have the basic $5 monthly text plan feature. Thanks for your help.

HELP Unselected ringer tone keeps going off every 5 minutes, how do I stop this!

Ringer "tune_FurElise" keeps going off every 5 minutes. Driving me and everyone around me crazy! This ringer tone has not been selected for anything and/or anyone's contact number. How do I stop this or how can I delete the Preloaded Ringer Tone "tune_FurElise"??? I have a BB curve 8330, I don't want to do a hard reset if I don't need to.

I think you can't. But you can download an application to free up to 5MB, including all images/videos/ringtones that come preloaded with your Blackberry. I don't know it the application allows you to select what you want to keep.

Help downloading ring tones

When I try to purchase ring tones from bplay at mobile.blackberry.com for my 8350i, I get an error message that the ring tone is not available for sale in my Country. I'm in the US and the US is selected as my Country. I have tried several different ring tones with the same result. Is there a work-around for this, or another site that will allow me to purchased ring tones?

Help with importing tones to iTunes

I have several .wav files in my finder that I would love to add to iTunes so I can use them as tones for text or emails. Is there a way to do this? I'm using a Mac mini with OS X 10.8.2 Thanks for any help you can provide.

Are you trying to update with a different computer or iTunes account than what you previously synced to?
You'll get that warning if you're trying to sync, or restore using a different computer than the one the phone was last originally activated with or last synced to. This will REPLACE whatever is on your phone with what is in the iTunes library on that computer. To avoid losing your apps/media with a new computer:
1. Authorize the computer in iTunes to your account.
2. Disable automatic synching on connection: (iTunes) Preferences > Devices > Prevent... from syncing automatically.
3. Connect your phone.
4. Right-click the device tab (left side of iTunes screen) and select "Transfer Purchases" to transfer from your phone to the iTunes library. Note that this transfers only media PURCHASED from iTunes, not anything you added from other sources.

I know this is a common thing, but i need help with half tones

This is the problem I have . I am trying to make half tones for screen printing so i need to make solid color halftones to cut down on colors( for example doing a 50% black half tone instead of making a new screen for gray).
I get how to make halftone gradients and rasterize for illustrator, and using the halftone swatches would work if they had them in higher dpi.
Can someone help me out?

Just fill your gray objects with a 50% tint of the spot color you are printing. In the Print dialog, specify the halftone screen ruling.

Assuming you are printing to a PostScript device, you can print as color separations and specify the halftone ruling, angle, and shape for each ink in the Print dialog. You don't have to use any kind of fake halftone such as Pattern Swatch fills.

Urgent - need help with ring gradient

Does anyone know how do I apply spectrum gradient to this circle as on pic (its a dry brush stroke that comes with illustrator)

this is in CS5. in CS6 and above you can make life much easier by using a gradient along a stroked circle.
these are your ingredients: circle with the appropriate brush and a line with a stroke.
rotate the line about one end however many steps you need for each colour (rotate tool, alt-click on the bottom of the path, use smart guides to pinpoint it).
change each path to your colours. make a copy of the first colour (orange here) and paste in front (ctrl+F).
select all the lines. make a blend (ctrl + alt + B).
select the brushed circle. expand appearance (object > expand appearance). this particular one was a group, and we want a compound path, so I ungrouped it and made a compound path (ctrl + 8). position it over your colour wheel. make sure its in front.
select both and make a clipping path (ctrl + 7).

Need Help with Custon Tones

Yo, so I know how to set custom ringtones for different contacts and i know all about checking the exceptions box but i cant get the phone to stop vibrating before someone with a custom ringtone calls. I just need to know if there's a way to remove the vibrating option from sutom profiles.

With the device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and replace the battery to reboot.
Check the settings again--either you are not saving the settings, or you just still have not set them correctly for EACH type of alert for all email accounts... or other notifciation type.

From what I understand the issue seems to be with the hardware, obviously since the phone was dropped that could cause undesired results.
If all your data is backed up to a computer then I would recommend doing a hard reset: http://www.palm.com/cgi-bin/cso_kbURL.cgi?ID=887
If a hard reset is done then I would caution you with the following choices: ( Should I have the audio circuit repaired as suggested by one of the repair guys? Or would that be risky?) - I would say this is risky because the person repairing the devise could easily sodder the wrong part of the hardware.
If you really do think repairing the circuit board is more cost effective then I would recommend researching all your possible repair shops before doing any work. Make sure they have the credentials and experiences.

Help with ringing UK from USA

I have just loaded Smart Talk onto our mobile as we are going to the USA shortly. If we want to ring a UK number from the USA using Smart Talk, do we just dial the UK local number or do we still use the international dialling code (0044)? If the latter, do we need to remove the International call bar first?

Txt message w/ ring tone attached

Hi, all
I am a newbie to Iphone 3GS. I was sent a txt message with ring tone attachment.
When I try to open, message appears "movie format not supported".
Any ideas. I do not have any gray pictures in camera roll nor video file.

8.1.2 upgrade - Ring tones now gone??!

Hi everyone,
This upgrade version was intended to restore ring tones tied to the the ITunes Store. The real problem for me now is I NO LONGER have access to all the ring tones that I had created, synched and used just prior to this last upgrade! Kind of ironic seeing as this upgrade was supposed to help resolve ring tone related issues??! Any insight will be appreciated!

HA! By Jove I've Got it! it was simples..
TURN ON THE RINGING ON / OFF BUTTON ON THE SIDE OF YOUR PHONE JUST ABOVE THE VOLUME BUTTONS. THEN MAKE SURE THE VOLUME IS UP TO THE HIGHEST. NOW JUST TRY THIS!
I ALSO LOOKED UP A MANUAL ON IPHONE4:
Ringtones, Ring/Silent switch, and vibrate
iPhone comes with ringtones that sound for incoming calls, Clock alarms, and the Clock timer.
You can also purchase ringtones from songs in iTunes. See Chapter 22, iTunes Store, on page 94.
Set the default ringtone: Go to Settings > Sounds > Ringtone.
Turn the ringer on or off: Flip the switch on the side of iPhone.
Important: Clock alarms still sound even if you set the Ring/Silent switch to silent.
Turn vibrate on or off: Go to Settings > Sounds.
Assign a different ringtone for a contact: In Contacts, choose a contact, tap edit, then tap
Ringtone and choose a ringtone.
For more information, see Sounds on page 139.
THE REASON MY PHONE HAD NO RING TONE, WAS SIMPLY BECAUSE THE VOLUME WAS TURNED DOWN. :-/

N95 problem with ''Help'' application

Dear all,
I've update recently my N95 with new software release 20.0.015, but the problem with help application is not resolved...The problem is the following: when I try to open HELP I receive the error message MEMORY FULL, but my free RAM is 23/24 MB and the free memory on the device is 112 MB. Can you help me to resolve this problem?

I have the same problem - no in any applications or using the Help application itself.
Of possible interest ?>: is a 'help folder' I have with a name displayed in the Help application as 4x boxes.
Using: -Menu -Tools -Utilities -Help
...I have an odd looking file listed at the end (after 'ZipManager' & before '3-D ringing tones'). The name is displaying as 4 x boxes - presumably non display characters ?>
Is this folder on all N95s ? (i.e even those with a working Help) ?
Anyone know how/where to locate this folder ?
