Go to Solution.

no i do not think it is a virus. did you try updating to the latest firmware for your phone? it should be v. 30 or v.31....
to check your version plug in *#0000# and post here what version you have
also DID YOU REMOVE your memory card? and tried to plug in the *#7370#  code?  also try taking the battery out for 5 min or so after you perform reformat code. after 5 minutes put it all back together without the memory card and turn it on and see if there is any change.

  • Time capsule message "- already in use".

    I purchased Time capsule yesterday and did an encrypted backup of my MacBook Pro (about 75Megs).  Now Auto-Backup keeps providing the message: "The backup disk image “/Volumes/Data-1/My MacBook Pro.sparsebundle” is already in use".  What does this mean and what do I do, if anything?
    It apperas backup are happening  every 6 hours, which is excessive for my purpose.  How can I change it to a less frequent schedule?
    Thanks, and Merry Christmas!

    That is standard issue with the TC.. and Mac OS since Lion.
    Reboot the TC usually fixes it.. ie yank out the power cord.. count to 10.. plug in the power cord to the TC..
    No luck follow C12 here.
    http://pondini.org/TM/Troubleshooting.html
    The backup is designed to work hourly but it removes older backups at certain points.. TM works better leaving it alone.. but there are tools to reschedule if you insist.
    See Q13 here.
    But also read how TM works so you understand that hourly is no bad thing.

  • Socket Error: Address already in use

    Hello all,
    I'm trying to get the Trac bug tracking system installed on my system(running snow leopard). After quite a bit of tinkering I've managed to install Trac, but as of now, its a standalone entity. I am trying to get this linked to the apache webserver, but having no success. Has anybody done this before? I haven't used unix to this level before and so am struggling with that as well... any info on this is much appreciated.
    One of the instructions to test run Trac as a standalone component was using this command tracd --port 8000 /path/to/myfolder (according to installation instructions at http://trac.edgewall.org/wiki/TracInstall). I stopped it using Ctrl-Z and now when I try to run it again, get the following message and error:

    I realize that closing the terminal window "frees" the socket. But, is there something else that I can do while stopping the running application to ensure that the socket also gets "freed"?

    Control-Z does "stop" the process, but it doesn't kill it. Use Control-C to do that. Then, you may have to wait a couple of minutes for the OS to free up your socket until you can try again.

  • Error: Address already in use - on loading publisher portlets

    Hi Guys,
    We get the following error msg when we access our portal homepage (which contains a set of publisher portlets: Error details: OKHttpException - Exception occured while processing HTTP request.
    Request processing stage was [1 - Trying to establish a socket connection to the remote host.]
    Bytes sent: [0]; Bytes received: [0]
    Error description: [Address already in use: no further information].
    I'll appreciate if anyone has come across this before and can give a pointer as to what is causing it and how it can be fixed. e.g. What address is already in use? BTW, the error seem to occur very infrequently; as in occassionally, and when one refreshes the page, the content items are then rendered ok. Any clues will be greatly appreciated. Thnks.

  • Satellite A200: Modem has an error 633: already in use or is not configured properly

    My notebook is A200-FE0.
    When I tried to make a dial-up connection, there is an error window says:
    "Error 633: The modem (or other connecting device) is already in use or is
    not configured properly".
    When I test my modem by clicking query modem on the Diagnostics tab in the modems tool in
    Control Panel, the modem responds normally and appear to be working
    correctly.
    When I test my modem by using the Toshiba diagnostic tools, it shows "pass" and I canhear the dail tone too.
    I tired to uinstall and reinstall the driver twice.
    But I just can't make a dial-up connection and keep getting the error 633. I am really upset about it.
    Please help me! Thank you a lot!

    Thanks for the hint.
    I tried this method too. I am using windows vista home premium. I can't find the files named telephon.ini and tapiini.exe in my computer.
    I noticed that this method is only for windows 98 and windows ME.

  • Account error  "already in use".

    When adding an email address to messages settings, and the verify fails with the message "already in use", what are common reasons for this. This is an aol account, which works fine.

    Hi thanks, yes this account set up is on an iPad, for receiving messages, but when I add it to an iPhone to get messages at the same time, this is when I get the message "already in use". This aol address, is not the same as my apple Id email address, on either address.

  • Address already in use: JVM_Bind error in DOS

    Hello,
    I am writing a multi threaded client server (Both client and server are multi threaded) program.where I have set of clients performing secure file transfer amongst them self. Here there is a Indexing server who is keeping record of all the files contained by clients. A client will make a request for a file to the Indexing Server which intern return the port no. and address of the client having that file. Now this client will connect to another client (Which now will act as server) to get the file and public key .
    Now I am connecting to server by using fix port number.
    Socket client = new Socket("127.0.0.1",2345)
    Also since the request for file from another client can come therefor I am creating a thread to start listning port on client side by,
    serverSocket serversocket = new serverSocket(client.getLocalport);
    //provided that connection to server with port 2345 already made.
    but when I am running this program through "DOS" it is giving me an error Address already in use: JVM_Bind.
    //checked through netstat and found that localport for the client is bound to 2345 (That is obvious)
    But when I am running this program in unix I am getting no error.

    ServerSocket.setReuseAddress(true) does not work on vista. Why? The following code is OK on XP, but throw the above exception on vista.
         @Test
         public void test() throws Throwable {
              Thread t = new Thread() {
                   public void run() {
                        ServerSocket ss;
                        try {
                             ss = new ServerSocket( 11111 );
                             System.out.println( "In Thread: " + ss );
                             System.out.println( "In Thread: " + ss.accept() );
                        } catch (IOException e) {
                             e.printStackTrace();
              t.start();
              Socket cs = new Socket( (String)null, 11111 );
              System.out.println( cs );
              ServerSocket s = new ServerSocket();
              s.setReuseAddress( true );
              s.bind( new InetSocketAddress( cs.getLocalPort() ) );
              System.out.println( s );

  • Tomcat Servlet - TCP Port Already in Use?

    My problem is that tomcat/servlet is not releasing its TCP port after my servlet closes the port. Next time a servlet tries to use the port it gets an error "Port already in use". Using netstat I can see the port is still in use. If I stop tomcat and restart it, the port is released. I have not had this sort of problem writing C programs that use sockets.
    My setup is Fedora Core 6 with JDK1.5_14 and Tomcat 5.5.26. I know it's not the latest, but sockets and streams have been around for a long time.
    Actual implementation uses a trivial javaserver page to instantiate a class to create/accept connection from a client (JApplet). After connection, it starts a thread to receive data. I am using ServerSocket(), InputStreamReader(), and OutputStreamWriter(). On ServerSocket I set ReuseAddress to true.
    I have try/catch on all my I/O and use tomcat context log for error and OK messages. Data transfer is perfect. Detect close by client works. In the context log I see close of streams and ServerSocket occur with no exceptions. Then, I manually close the jsp window. No indication of any problems. If I use different port 2nd time (e.g. 50001) it all works perfect. If I use my default (50000) again, servlet gets an error during bind, "Port already in use".

    Please advise or refer

    Actual implementation uses a trivial javaserver page to instantiate a class to create/accept connection from a client (JApplet). Bleah! Don't use a JSP for that. Use a servlet at worst. At best use a Servlet to start some other socket manager class which you can/have tested outside the Servlet Container environment.
    After connection, it starts a thread to receive data. I am using ServerSocket(), InputStreamReader(), and OutputStreamWriter(). On ServerSocket I set ReuseAddress to true.

    Please advise or referShow some code. If you just want some generic advice it would be to close the port, as soon as you don't need it anymore. But you know that. Without any further code I think that is about all that can be said.
    P.S. Make the code as small as possible, compilable, but still demonstrating the problem. Also see: [this tutorial as an example...|http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/jw-12-1996/jw-12-sockets.html?page=1]

  • N95 kepps saying everything is in use!

    Yesterday my N95 stopped allowing me to surf the web. So I saved all data onto memory card and did a factory reset which got rid of everything and restored factory settings.
    However now when I select anything I just get the ! message saying it is already in use. For example I go to my contacts book and it says: Contacts already in use. I go to my messages and it says: Messaging already in use. I go the gallery and it says: Gallery already in use.
    I'm absolutely sick of this phone now, I have had nothing but trouble with it!
    Can anyone help me??

    Hi Lorelei
    After you reset N95 did you try it without memory card in place first?
    If it works without memory card then it points to corruption of data on the memory card.

  • Popup Clocl: Already in Use

    Hello, I've been using Nokia 5530 XpressMusic Phone for 3 years now. Since then, I never faced any problem and I updated the phone to the latest versions.
    Today I tried to Hard Reset the phone and after that when phone turned on, I got the error "Popup Clock: Already in Use" and others as "Messaging: Already in Use" though I never opened anything. The phone won't let me hard reset again as when I open the keypad, it wont open.
    It won't let me do anything as whenever I open anything, I get the error...
    Please guide

    Hi eDiots,
    How did you reset your 5530? If you used any other methods but the reset option in Settings or the *#7370# code you will probably have used a reset which is reserved for Nokia Care Centers. This reset is used to get a phone back on when it won't start normally. This reset may remove a number of files form the device which are not installed by the updates available to you as an end user of the device and this may leave your device unstable or non functional.
    In this case you'd have to visit a Nokia Care Point where the device can be rewritten at lower level including these files. This will completely erase all content from the device so make sure you have a backup of your personal data made in Nokia Suite before you do this.

  • CS4 "Already in use cannot delete" over network problem

    Hello,
    I am having a problem with a Mac on OS X not being able to open or delete any .ai files over a network on a Dell Server running Windows Server 2008. If we try to open or delete the file I get an error message "Already in use cannot delete". Also, I get a "cannot complete copy" error too. Whats weird is that both machines can see each other over the network and the Mac can read and write to all other files over the network. The server does not have anything adobe products installed at all. There is no other machine on the network that is causing these files to be in use. I have checked when the backups are done using Windows Server 2008 Backup and they are finished before anyone gets into the office, so I dont believe its the Backup program holding the files hostage. I have read in some areas that this may be a known flaw with NTFS formatting over a network, but im not sold on that idea yet.
    Any and all suggestions would be as useful to me as insulin right about now.

    Sorry one last thing. I can delete the files on the Server itself.

  • Trouble with Flash Player: Application Already In Use

    Hello,
    I'm trying to install Flash Player on my Windows 8 64-bit system for Firefox. When I try to install Flash Player, the installer works fine up to the point of the bar tracking the installation progress. It gets about halfway across, and then I get a message that says Error: Application Already In Use with a green check next to it. Then the installer tells me that the installation has failed. Can anyone tell me how to fix this so I can use Flash? Thanks for the help.

    Use the Offline installer:
    http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/install_flash_player.exe <---FULL installer - works offline
    or
    http://download.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_player_ 13_plugin.msi  <-- if the above link won't install
    Save it. Reboot and then run it.

  • Bind address already in use

    Hello all,
    I have a strange problem with TCP sokets.
    on a SunOS5.9 Sparc machine i am running a server progam

    socket()
    bind()
    listen()
    connect().....
    do lots of processing with the clients (around 28 clients)
    close()
    sleep(30)
    server restart the above sequence
    when restarting i get a bind error:
    Address already in Use.
    i have verifeid that the socket is close, return value of close is 0.
    Is it possible that socket resources are not released by kernel?
    Is tuning the value of tcp_time_wait_interval to a low value will help to get the code running.
    Or is there any other tunbale parameter to be tuned out.
    Please help me to resolve this.
    Thanks.

  • Ipv4 mapped addresses bind problem: address already in use.

    Hello. It's me again with another, may be newbie, question.
    This time I observe different behavior binding different type of ip addresses on tcp sockets. For instance
    - when I bind ipv4 mapped addresses, if there is a remaining old socket in TIME_WAIT state from a previous run
    I get the error 'Address already in use', event with SO_REUSEADDR set.
    - when I bind another type of ipv6 or just ipv4 addresses. if there if a remaining old socket in TIME_WAIT state from
    a previous run, the bind is successful (SO_REUSEADDR is set).
    How can be explained this behavior?
    Thanks a lot.
    Details
    =======
    I made a small program to test this. This program:
    - dump the addresses to be used in bind() and connect()
    - creates a LISTEN SOCKET calling
    - socket(AF_INET6, SOCK_STREAM, 0)
    - fcntl(F_SETFD, fcntl(F_GETFD) | FD_CLOEXEC)
    - fcntl(F_SETFL, fcntl(F_GETFL) | O_NONBLOCK),
    - setsockopt(SO_REUSEADDR),
    - setsockopt(SO_KEEPALIVE),
    - setsockopt(TCP_NODELAY),
    - bind()
    - listen()
    - creates a CONNECTING SOCKET calling
    - socket(AF_INET6, SOCK_STREAM, 0)
    - fcntl(F_SETFD, fcntl(F_GETFD) | FD_CLOEXEC)
    - fcntl(F_SETFL, fcntl(F_GETFL) | O_NONBLOCK),
    - setsockopt(SO_REUSEADDR),
    - setsockopt(SO_KEEPALIVE),
    - setsockopt(TCP_NODELAY),
    - connect()
    - creates a ACCEPTED SOCKET calling
    - accept()
    - fcntl(F_SETFD, fcntl(F_GETFD) | FD_CLOEXEC)
    - fcntl(F_SETFL, fcntl(F_GETFL) | O_NONBLOCK),
    - setsockopt(SO_REUSEADDR),
    - setsockopt(SO_KEEPALIVE),
    - setsockopt(TCP_NODELAY),
    - issue a std::system( "netstat -an | grep 10329" )
    - wait with select() for a write event in the CONNECTING SOCKET
    - wait with select() for a write event in the ACCEPTED SOCKET
    - close the accepted socket
    - close the connecting socket
    - close the listen socket
    - issue another std::system( "netstat -an | grep 10329" )
    - exit(0)
    Note: please don't get confused with my notation of addresses, the last component, after the last colon, is the port.
    I run it with ipv4 mapped listen address, with this result:
    $ ./test_reuseaddr listen_address=0.0.0.0:10329 connect_address=127.0.0.1:10329

    Sorry, to use such short forms in forums as i dont know much about this. i rarly use java forum. well, i removed the code that i gave u for server starting. but still it is giving me the same error. this time i put it in a java bean file.(Hint "u" is just another short form).
    Did you try the suggestion to put a log statement just before you start the server? Or put a breakpoint at that line and see how often it is reached.
    Because the only reason for this problem is that something is already listening at that port.
    And if there's really nothing listening before you start you application, then only your application itself can listen there already, so the logical conclusion for me would be that you're starting the Server twice.
