ive had the n95 a month now i bought it from ebay. its been to an authourised dealer twice and then to nokia . it is still shutting down usually when i try to answer a call. occasionally it will close down without touching it, i love the phone can anyone one help or advise me what to do next, thanks

Firstly you need to exclude that problem is software related.
Remove memory card (if any) and carry out a hard reset key in *#7370# on standby screen followed by 12345 (default Nokia lock code) when requested. Unfortunately ALL data will be erased from the phone.
It might be an idea to try with a different SIM if possible.
Intermittent faults are the worse kind and you won't know if it has been dropped at some stage if casing has been replaced.
Happy to have helped forum in a small way with a Support Ratio = 37.0

Firefox is using large amounts of CPU time and disk access, and I need to know how to shut down most of this so I can actually use the browser.

Firefox is a very busy piece of software. It's using large amounts of CPU time and disk access. It puts my usage at low priority, so I have to wait for some time to be able to use my pointer or keyboard. I don't know what it uses all that CPU and disk access time for, but it's of no use to me. It often takes off with massive use of resources when I'm not doing anything, and I may not have use of my pointer for several minutes. How can I shut down most of this so I can use the browser to get my work done. I just want to use the web site access part of the software, and drop all the extra. I don't want Firefox to be able to recover after a crash. I just want to browse with a minimum of interference from Firefox. I would think that this is the most commonly asked question.

As my title says, after closing Firefox, at times I have to use task manger to shut down firefox.exe*32 at times. I've left it running for up to 5 minutes to see if it shuts down/closes and it doesn't. I've also reloaded Firefox. My system is a Lenovo H210 with 3 gig of Ram and no added video card, the OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit SP1. I realize the memory is on the small side. I did try to update VLC player this morning to V 2.1.2 but it fails to run after instal due to file errors.

Al that is left are the standard fixes:
- Reset the dock
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

The "restore disk" is built into the Mac. See About Recovery.
Need more specifics about what error messages you got while installing Adobe Flash.
However, you can almost avoid Flash altogether by setting YouTube to play the HTML5 version instead.
Click the Try something new! link at the bottom of the YouTube page.
I don't know about the sound issue. Might be hardware as you think. Try other headphones to check.

When I turned my Macbook on and signed in, it has been shutting down automatically and restarting itself immediately after opening the desktop. The error message said, I'd shut down my computer unexpectedly. How can I get it to stop shutting down on me?

Since downloading OS X Mavericks, my computer has been shutting down midway of starting up. Please help! The problem began after downloading the software free update. Now when I start my computer, it will starts up normal but when the desktop appears, there will be an error message that I shut down my computer because of an error and if I would like to open the applications that were open before the sudden shut down I should press continue. Then when I select continue, it will open up another communication window that my computer is restarting because of an error. Then the screen will revert to shutting down and restarting again. This has been going on now all morning. Can someone hlep me on how to resolve this issue?

Very Important, how much Free Space is on your Hard Drive first of all? Click on the Macintosh HD on the Desktop, then do a Get Info on it.

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
