N95 stopped synchronizing

Suddenly my synchronization started to fail with this error message:
"Ensure that the synch settings are correct and that phone is in idle state."
Though I'm able to perform all other actions OK (e.g. browsing phone's contents, opening contacts and messages in Communication Manager.
I've successfully synched on my friends PC, which was having Win Vista.
I don't know why it stopped when I've not changed anything since I last synched yesterday evening!!
I've tried fully uninstalling and then reinstalling the PC Suite.
I'm using:
PC Suite's latest version 7.0.8.2
Win XP SP2
N95 with V21.0.016 RM-159
Tried both BT and Cable connectivity.

    Welcome to the forums
    As always, have you tried a battery pull?
    1. Remove the battery while phone is turned on
    2. Wait a few seconds before inserting it again
    3. Allow the long boot up process to finish (takes a few minutes usually)
    Have you checked your synchronization settings in desktop manager and reconfigured them?
    Do you have the latest version of Desktop Manager? Should be 5.0
    Try a clean uninstall of Desktop Manager and then reinstall the latest version:
    Uninstall instructions here - http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02206
    Latest version available here - https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do
    Configure the synchronization again and try.
    To help you better can you provide your phone's OS version. Go to options>about, 3rd line down is 4.X.X.XXX. What is your Desktop Manager version and are you getting any error messages while synching? The more specific information you can provide the easier it is to get to the right solution

  • Can't stop synchronized threads with I/O read and write

    I have two synchronized threads which doing read and write from and into a file.
    One thread called "reader" which does reading, encoding, etc from a source file and puts its output in a pre-defined variable. Another called "writer" which puts the reader's output into a file ( not the source file ). Both thread will notify each other when they've finished each of their part. It's similiar to CubyHole example of Java Tutorial example from Sun.
    But somehow it seems like the threads keep spawning and won't die. Even if the source file has been all read and the data has been fully written, calling interrupt(), return, etc has no effect. The threads will keep running untill System.exit() called.
    Is it because the threads were blocked for I/O operation and the only way to kill them is to close the I/O ?
    To be honest, it's not only stop the threads that I want to, I also want to somehow pause the threads manually in the middle of the process.
    Is it possible ?
    Cheers.!!!

    The example code for the problem using 4 classes called :
    - libReadWrite ( class holding methods for aplication operations )
    - reader ( thread class responsible for reading data )
    - writer ( thread class responsible for writing data )
    - myGUI ( user interface class )
    All of them written in different file.
    // libReadWrite
    pubic class libReadWrite {
    private boolean dataReady;
    private String theData;
    //read data
    public synchronized void read(String inputFile) {
    while (dataReady == true) {

    wait();
    } catch (InterruptedException ex) {}
    RandomAccessFile raf = new RandomAccessFile(inputFile, "r"); // I'm using raf here because there are a lot of seek operations
    theData = "whatever"; // final data after several unlist processes
    dataReady = true;
    notifyAll();
    public synchronized void write(String outputFile) {
    while (dataReady == false) {
    try {
    wait();
    } catch (InterruptedException ex) {}
    DataOutputStream output = new DataOutputStream(new FileOutputStream(outputFile, true));
    output.writeBytes(theData);

  • IPod stops synchronizing when its halfway done :(

    I connect my iPod to the PC and it starts syncing with iTunes. But when the synchronization is halfway done, it stops working. Instead of showing the "synchronizing" icon, it shows the "connected" icon. If I unplug it that way, all the data goes corrupted. I formatted it several times, restored it, tried the Disk Mode, tried different computer but nothings helping. I use the very latest edition of iTunes. What should I do now? Please help.

    I noticed the same problem. To tell you the truth, I am not very happy about it.
    I used a 3rd Gen iPod for a few years and podcasting was working great. I was driving and it would continue between podcasts.
    On my new 5th Gen iPod anything not being a playlist (podcast, videos, etc.) just takes you back to the main menu after it finishes. Not fun or safe when you are driving on a curved road and have to look and control your iPod just to look for the next podcast. It even kicks you back all the way to the main menu which is frustrating when you know another car is too close to you.
    Sincerely, I thought this was just a bug and it would get fixed on the first firmware upgrade. Well... apparently not!
    Anyway, I preferred the old way for obvious reasons.
    The Playlist is the fix for now... but after managing my podcasts... having to take more steps for creating the playlists, etc.. is a REAL pain. Podcasts lists change almost daily in my case and having to re-create playlists all the time is no fun. What is so good about having the iPod sync my podcats and subscriptions if I have to manually manage playlists for them?

  • Stop synchronizing iCloud with one of my iPad.

    I ve broke the glass of my ipad, which was set to sinchronize with icloud. Now I want to stop it and also I would like to erase all my personal data from it.
    does anyone know how to do this. I try connecting the ipad to the computer, but I do not see any alternative to blank my data and files.
    can anyone know how to reset and ipad?

    Select Restore under the Summary tab for your iPad sync preferences with iTunes.
    This will completely erase your iPad first followed by the current iOS version being re-installed. After the current iOS version is reinstalled, you will have two options. Restore from your iPad's backup which is the default selection, or restore as a new iPad or not from the backup. Choose as a new iPad or not from the backup and don't sync your iPad with iTunes after doing so.

  • ICloud control panel for pc stopped synchronizing

    After installing the newest version of the contol panel for pc (2.1.1.3), there is no real time connection with iCloud anymore. (Acctually there is no connection at all anymore)
    With installing the CP, a complete copy of my outlook calendar is perfectly added to iCloud. But after that, I can try anything I want, but appointments aren't copied to the other calendar. Is there anyone who regonize this problem and knows a solution? Or is apple messing up their own software again?

    It stopped working, most probably after the last update of 31st December 2012. I'm not sure though. First time sync works both ways. Calendar items from both iCloud and Outlook appeard in both sides after the first, manual, sync.
    All updates from Windows and MS Office are installed (that can also messed everything up btw)

  • ITunes has stopped synchronizing my iPod Touch. When reserve copying begins, synchronizing just stops. Can you help me, please? I reallu don't know what to do.

    iTunes has stopped synchronising my iPod Touch. When a reserve copying begins, sunchronising just stops. Usually. I tried to update iTunes, but this didn't help me. For God's sake, someone, please, help me!

    Close your iTunes,
    Go to command Prompt -
    (Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
    (Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
    In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
    netsh winsock reset
    Hit "ENTER" key
    Restart your computer.
    If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
    Now launch your iTunes, Sync and see if it is working now.
    If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

  • N95 Stop answering calls on opening slide

    Is there a way to disable answering a call by opening the slide on an N95? I want to answer by pressing just the answer key.

    This is a -great- question. Every time I pull the phone out of my pocket it's already opened the slider and answered the call! I can't find an option that -requires- you to press the "send" green-phone key to answer a call.
    Is it in there somewhere?

  • My ipad stopped synchronizing with itunes

    my ipad is charging but doesn't sync anymore

    Do you mean that it is not even showing up in iTunes?
    Firstly, make sure that your device is not hidden (left hand pane). If it just reads device then toggle between SHOW and HIDE.
    Secondly, try all the other ports on your computer, even a number of times.
    Thirdly, if you have another computer try plugging your device into it without taking any action, give it a moment, remove it and try it back in your other computer again.
    Failing all that, see here - http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538 for Windows and http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1591 for Macs

  • Photoshop Elements has stopped synchronizing with Revel.

    The Revel Agent is stuck on "Detecting Changes".  I've seen people with the same problem but no fixes posted.  I've upgraded to Photoshop Elements 12.1.  I've logged out of and back into Revel.  None of that has fixed the issue.  Does anyone have a solution?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Please try couple of probable solutions as mentioned below:
    Solution 1:
    1. Close Elements.
    2. Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl + alt + shift as you click Editor.
    3. Continue to hold the keys until you see a message box asking if you want to delete Photoshop Elements settings file; click Yes. Elements will open with default preferences.
    Solution 2: In case any network printer is attached try to launch without network or printer uninstall or make different printer as default.
    Solution 3: Try launching with anti-virus off or removing PSE from conflicting list.
    Solution 4:
    On the drive on which you have installed PSE,on my machine it is on C:
    Go  to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements  10\Locales\<locale>\Plug-Ins\Import-Exportand you will find twain  plug-in. Remove that plug-in from that location and copy it somewhere  else.
    Now launch PSE and check if it works.
