im unable to remove 2 of the screws in order to remove and replace the lcd screen cause the head are damaged
any idea how to do that ?

HT1296 i have got second hand iphone 3 gs i changed lcd screen now want original SIM what can i do?

i got iphone 3gs from e bay and i have changed lcd screen than i switch on systen setting apper i have done language,country,WI-FI and wants SIM-CARD and i havent that simcard what do you suggest i contacted with the seller and he has been telling me he was usin giffgaff sim card and vodafone.i have tryed with vodafone it didn't work.

Updating iOS has relocked the device to whichever carrier it was originally sold as locked to.
Only that carrier can unlock the device.

Changing LCD screen for Qosmio X870

Since 3 weeks, i've got several black dead pixels on the upper left hand corner of my screen as you can see on the picture :

i want to change the screen.
My native resolution is WXGA 1600*900 px but i'd like to upgrade to 1920*1080 !
I just want to know if my hardware is able to handle the new resolution.
As it is my choise is on this screen :

You can read it is for Toshiba X875 not X870, but is it a problem ?

Hi it seems like different models have different resolutions but the x870 seems to have the 1900x1080?
in my experience from changing screens as long as the screen connection is the same the only factor of it not being compatible is the inverter, but as these screens are is various models i would say they are all interchangable . hardware wise you can go up and above 1900x1080 with what you have! a fast single core with intel tortoise gpu can do 1900x1080 if the screen whould let it .

[HELP] Changing LCD screens on a S55 B5280 Laptop for a higher resolution one

Hi!
I was wondering if there's any LCD screen that i can buy to replace the one that comes with the Toshiba S55 B5280, that can provide a higher resolution. It would be the first time that i've changed a LCD screen for one capable of more resolution.
Can someone help me on the subject? I don't need any "how-to" to do it, i just need to know which models that provide a higher resolution than 1366x768 are fully compatible with this particular laptop.

ArchLinux is designed to run whether in VirtualBox or on a real machine.
If you have a TV connector plugged in it will chop some regular lines at the bottom to make up for the difference in TV resolution.
There are a couple of packages related to nvidia hardware, nouveau is one of them. Just do a pacman -Ss nvidia for possibilities of things you might need to install. Your nvidia hardware is a little newer, so probably nvidia is the package you'll need instead of nouveau.
Are you using X? When you install the proper xf86-video-* driver it shouldn't have any problems with X. If modesetting is turned off, then some resolutions may not be made available (especially in Gnome), so it is best to keep it turned on if at all possible (kernel default).

Unable to change outgoing email display name on 9930. Only displays email address to clients

I have tried to change my outgoing email display name to my name but when I delete the email address on username field and input my name it says "not a valid email address". Tried on the Blackberry website with my profile and on my handheld device. Why is this so difficult? I can't send emails to clients as on their end it just shows my email address in the from field and not my full name. My email account name on my Blackberry shows the full name I want to display, but it keeps defaulting to my username, which is my email address. I have a 9930 that is two years old. Thanks.

Thanks for the details! When did this issue start? Is your Blackberry on a Blackberry Enterprise server from your company? Is this an outlook Microsoft Exchange email account? This may help with changing your settings:

• On the Home screen, click the Messages icon.
• Press the key > Options > Email Account Management.

ADF Mobile Unable to change splash screen

I am trying to change the splash screen for ipad retina display. For this I tried to replace the existing Default-Portrait.png with the one I need to use.
On trying to deploy I am getting this error:

Satellite L500: unable to change to Multiple Display to play via TV

Having followed instructions to connect laptop to TV via HDMI there is no signal. Followed instructions in User Manual but
User Manual says go to Adjust Resolution/Advanced/GenericPnPMonitor/Graphics Properties/Display Properties then click 'Multiple Display' but there is only one drop down option 'Single Display' and 1 primary device the notebook.
When I toggle FN F5 to change display it only shows LCD display.
Is this something simple I'm missing or does this suggest a fault with the Toshiba Display Driver?

For I using the HDMI connection I can recommend this:
Firstly connect the cable to your notebook and TV or external monitor. Then power on the TV and choose the right input channel. Finally power on the notebook and normally the HDMI connection will be recognized automatically.
If it doesnt work I would recommend updating the display driver and BIOS. Both can be founded on the Toshiba website.

IPhone will not power off, app will not change , two screens display at one time

Hello, I have a phone that is stuck on one app. Can hold the off button for 3 minutes and will not turn off. Will hold the lower button to change app's and nothing. Can change subjects in the app stuck in and can see both screens while scrolling. Going to let the phone run out of power to see if that will help, but very inconveinent

I seem to have found the answer by my own foolishness....
I held down the on/off button on top and the "belly button" on the front bottom and whoosh! it came back to life.
It would sure be nice if Apple would restore the Troubleshooting area of their website and include information like this so Luddites like myself could keep a lower blood pressure....

Unable to change screen brightness

I have an X100E and sometimes when it comes out of sleep I am unable to change the screen brightness. Pressing Fn-Del or Fn-Home just brings up the on-screen brightness indicator but it doesn't change. The only way I've found to be able to change brightness again is to reboot.
It seems that it happens if it goes into sleep when plugged in and comes out on battery, or vice versa, but not always. There doesn't seem to be a correlation to uptime either. I've had it happen after an hour or two up and I've had it happen 7 days up.
I am running Win7 Pro.

Google it a bit and you'll see it is a known issue in Windows 7 with several laptop manufacturers. BIOS will not help in this case. I also have the problem - everytime I hibernate and wake. I have Win7 Pro x64.
Simple workaround I found was to close and reopen the lid (as long as "Close lid" is set to "do nothing" in Power Manager settings. This cycles power on the screen and that somehow resets things until the next time you sleep/hibernate. However, it is strange that cycling the power on the screen using Power Manager "power off display" does not reset it - no effect.
I have my x100 set to:
Power button: Hibernate
Close lid: Nothing
Fn+F4: Sleep

Blank LCD screen on my Cannon EOS 5DMK III

Yesterday whilst viewing images my LCD screen went blank meaning i could not view images or change settings as nothing appears!! Anyone had anything similar happen and if so what was the outcome, im thinking i may have knocked something or pressed something i shouldnt have??? Confused!!

The only "normal" reason that the screen will blank when the camera is powered on is if you use the "info" button to cycle the display to remain dark. Each time you press "info" (when not reviewing an image) will change what the LCD screen displays... it cycles through several options, but one option is to just remain dark.
If pressing the "info" button again doesn't change it to the next mode where it's displaying something else, then likely there's more to the problem then just a setting.

Negative screen display?

My 3 year old found a way to change my screen display so that it appears as a negative image. How do I correct this? Command + Shift + 8 didn't work.

Open the Universal Access pane of System Preferences, click on the Seeing tab, turn off White on Black, and drag the Contrast slider all the way to the left.

Unable to change theme due to screen display function not working

I've been having an issue since I did the 0S6 upgrade to my torch 9800 where when I click on the screen display it doesn't completely open it just flashes quickly and then closes, it was doing it with home screen display and now it seems to have switched but now I can't change themes. Anyone else know of this issue or a solution. I've done a hard and soft reset.
