Indeed, this is all over the forums and is a glimmer of hope at last... but it has not been confirmed that they will be releasing this firmware yet anywhere (that I've seen at least...) At the moment this is pure speculation based on a WRT build available only on a remote computing platform. Nokia have in the past dumped firmware which was part way through development so unfortunately, just because we can see it there we can't rely on it ever coming on to NSU.
We can but hope though!
exactly.and we hope relrease this firmware soon if its correct i cant wait every day i check my product code and hoping find new firmware

  • CAN NOT UPDATE A N95 14.0.001

    Hy , i have a T-Mobile N95 V14.0.001 and you have for this model lunched out V21.0.016 . Why does nokia firmware update says that i have the latest firmware installed ? i really want someone to solv this issue !
    i'v been waiting  a firmware update for like 4 moths now and nobody is doing a thing !  And i am not the only one with this problem ! I must urge you to take my problem into consideration and do something with it !
    Solved!

    As others have pointed out, this is a problem with T-Mobile. It is up to them to release an update but they'll only do so when they're good and ready, if at all.

  • Battery indicator on N95 v21.0.016

    Hello all:
    Ever since I updated to the new v21.0.016 firmware, the battery indicator on my N95 acts kind of strange.
    For two days it shows a full charge (seven bars) and suddenly, in less than a couple of hour, goes down from seven bars to one bar (no WIFI, no bluetooth, no calls).
    Has anyone experienced the same?. It looks like an annoying bug in the new firmware...
    ........N70, E61, E90, N95, E71, E72, N8

    I'd like to update my status. After the upgrade to version 21, the phone couldn'd be connected to the pc too. I got it to a NCC and they said that the phone's board had a problem and had to be sent abroad to nokia to replace it... I'd like to add the following too. At NCC I was told that the update that nokia provides through Nokia Update Manager is not the actual update. If we want to update the phone we will have to take it at a NCC because the update they have is three times bigger in size and it's the full one. (v21 is 166MB through NUM, and the update the NCC has is about 300). When I asked why is this happening they said: "If the full update was provided over the net, then there wouldn't be any reason for the NCC to exit". That's a shame. This conversation took place in Greece. I don't know what other NCC say, or if this is the policy of Nokia in order to get money (they said that the update would cost me 15,5 Euros).
    PS The phone was bought 3 months ago, but if they "thought" that i had updated the phone through other software (?) I would have to pay for the actual update anyway....

  • N95 v21 not listed in NSU

    I want to download v21 firmware for my N95. It's currently still on version 12. However, in Nokia Software Updater, only version 20 is listed as available. Why is version 21 not available...do I have to upgrade to version 20 first?

    I'm also on a south african network but I am only able to upgrade to v.12 (which i did ages ago), this is the latest version my software updater has found. how did you manage to find v.20 for your phone?... or is MTN just a little more advanced than vodacom?

  • N95 V21.0.0.16 Navigation Crashing

    All,
    Please help. Since upgrading my Nokia N95 to V21.0.0.16 of the firmware I am unable to get navigation working on the phone. (I have not installed or had installed Beta maps).
    I can start maps fine, display the current GPS position ok and find a display locations. The system will even show a route between current position and place I want to go.
    If I choose "Navigate to" the software pauses for a second then crashes and returns to the main screen.
    If I choose "Extra services" to register (which I already have) navigation, I am prompted to accept the conditions then asked to choose the country. On choosing the country the phone restarts completely.
    I have already tried deleting the cities folder and re-installing the maps using map loader. I have also tried deleting the folder and just allowing the software to download the maps as required.
    No idea what to try next. Please help

    Right, after speaking to Nokia support the issue is now resolved.
    How to fix.
    Prepare Phone.
    1) Before commencing I would suggest that you delete the cities folder from your phone (as others have suggested this to be an issue). This can be done via the USB connection or using the File mgr. (found under tools).
    Update maps software.
    2) Goto, europe.nokia.com/maps
    3) On left hand side choose the phone (N95) and download the latest version of Nokia maps.
    4) Connect phone and install nokia maps. (Requires PC Nokia Suite installed)
    5) Follow instructions on phone to complete installation.
    Test software.
    6) Run Nokia Maps.
    7) Choose extra services, add navigation and follow the screen prompts to active or re-activate navigation.
    NOTE: When I attempted this the first time it still crashed the maps application. 2nd time through there were no issues and I re-activated navigation.
    8) Test navigation.
    This should resolve the issue, latest map data can now be downloaded using nokia maps.
    Update maps
    9) Download v1.3 of map loader
    10) Download and install latest map data.

  • [N95-8GO] Screen Bug, Firmware Problem ?

    Hello,
    I have many severs screen bug with my N95 8Go.
    Firmware is V35.0.001
    Phone info is RM-320.
    Since yesterday, my screen lighting going off and the screen become black, zoomed or pink in random times. The screensaver is always flashing.
    I think it is a FW bug, because my phone has sudden no shocks and the screen connector is correctly linked and no oxidation are present.
    What you think about it ?
    Do I reinstall the FW to fix this bug ?
    I can't downgrade because it's the lastest FW version.
    The phone isn't new, I buy it in operator store two years ago.
    PS : I am French, and I am sorry if my English is so terrible

    Have you installed any theme into your phone recently? Some themes, which come from unreliable sources, cause problems like this.
    If you haven't installed any theme, it's probably a hardware problem. So, you will have to take your phone to a Nokia Care Point.

  • N95 v21.0.016 after using Nokia Maps 2.0 Beta on v...

    After updating software Nokia Maps returns to v1.2 wk48 b01 and of course maps in E:/Cities need to be deleted and old maps downloaded using Maploader v1.3 after running Nokia Maps to define folder structure. However on a microSDHC with 708.5Mb space left for maps(Maploader definition) it allows me to download and install a 20Mb map but after downloading a further 120Mb map it won't let it install with the message "Your local drive might be full or your access rights are insufficient".
    This is of course great news when you've wasted about an hour downloading it!

    Why did you not choose to stay with the 2.0 Beta version?
    Hi harrykaa
    Essentially so that I am aware of the problems (if any) experienced by users of N95 with the version of Nokia Maps pre-installed in v21.0.016
    The answer to my problem was to replace the existing "diskcache" folder in "Cities" with one I found on an older memory card, just wish I had thought of this solution sooner.

  • N95 V21.0.016 UPGRADED WITH 4GB CARD - PHONE DEAD ...

    IT IS WELL, VERY GOOD & FAST FOR MY N95-1 UPGRADED WITH V21.0.016 IF NO MEMORY CARD IS INSERTED. ONCE INSERTED MY SANDISK 4GB (WITH ONLY 3GB USED), IT CAUSE THE PHONE CANNOT BE STARTED....THIS IS REALLY NOT MAKE SENSE AS LATEST VERSION EVEN CAN FUNCTION PROPERPLY EVEN TO 8GB CARD ! NOKIA PLS CHECK WHY MEMORY CARD ALREADY CAUSE THIS PROBLEM! V12.0.014 IS BETTER FOR ME IF NGAGE IS NOT SUPPORTTED V12, I SWEAR I WILL NOT UPGRADE TO V21...PLS SOLVE OUT QUICKLY FOR OUR V21 USER WHO FACING THIS PROBLEM AROUND THE WORLD

    i guess this is because of the applications and files already in the memorycard.
    why don't you try formating the card (after copying the data elsewhere, if you need it later) and switching on the phone with the formatted card.
    if it works, you can install the applications one by one back again and figure out which application is causing the problem.
    please let me know if this works.

  • N95 v21.0.016 bug(?) in SIP phone

    This one had me stumped for a while...
    My N95 is hooked up to my own Asterisk server and, as such, rings whenever someone calls me by VoIP or on any of the DID numbers I have attached to my VoIP account. It's logged in as extension 2002 on my server whose local IP address is 192.168.2.104.
    Or at least it should ring. Sometimes it did, sometimes it didn't (past tense because I've figured out a workaround).
    I finally managed to narrow it down to the fact that it didn't like accepting anonymous calls. Indeed, if I followed my Asterisk logs when receiving an a call with no caller ID, I'd see this, and obviously the phone wouldn't ring:
    -- SIP/2002-081f4358 is circuit-busy
    [May 8 14:27:03] WARNING[3697]: chan_sip.c:12741 handle_response: Remote host can't match request BYE to call '[email protected]'. Giving up.
    I've managed to work around the problem by adding this to my dialplan in extensions.conf:
    exten => _X.,n,Set(CID=${CALLERID(NUM)})
    exten => _X.,n,GotoIf($[ "x${CID}" = "x0" ]?change-it)
    exten => _X.,n,GotoIf($[ "x${CID}" = "x" ]?change-it)
    exten => _X.,n,Goto(call-extn)
    exten => _X.,n(change-it),Set(CALLERID(ALL)=Anonymous Coward <2999> )
    exten => _X.,n(call-extn),Dial(SIP/2000&SIP/2001&SIP/2002,15,tT)
    While this works, ie. the phone now rings for anonymous calls, is this not a bug in that it should accept them anyway (as it does for GSM calls) and just display "private number calling" or something similar?
    FWIW, I didn't have to do this on firmware v12.0.014, so this is a bit of a regression.

    hi,
    Before on v20 (with orig. Nokia 1gb microsd and 2gb microsd), every new music added through nokia music manager will be automatically added to the music player without me refreshing the phone, now a couple of days(maybe weeks)i updated fw (v21) and i also switched to a sandisk 4gb microsd hc, i noticed that music doesn't automatically appears on the player, i have to refresh the music player from time 2 time.
    Could it be the memory card? Or the firmware?
    Thanks in advance!

    Revert to a memory card that you were using when the phone didn't display the fault. If the problem goes away then the new memory card is the source of the problem. If the problem persists then it's the new firmware.
