N95 WiFi/WLAN chokes after 100K or so

Hi,
I've noticed a problem with the WLAN connection. While it works ok for small amounts of data, anything more than 100K or so and it just stops transferring.
I've seen this on things like Google maps, where the map data just never appears, or takes a very, very long time. Switch to 3G and it's fine (but expensive!).
It's particularly obvious on podcasts - they get a couple of % through then stop. If you then stop and re-start, it gets another couple of % then stops, and so on. Again it's fine on 3G.
I have a Netgear DG834GT router on a 24Mb ADSL2+ line. I have security switched off at the moment, so it's not that.

Are you looking for "power saver mode"?
Go to Menu > Tools > Settings > Connection > Wireless LAN > click centre joystick > Options > Advanced settings (Changing advanced settings is not recommended. Continue anyway = YES? > Scroll down to "Power saving" which is last option and change to "Disabled"

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

I hope someone here can help with my problem. My E72 cannot connect to WIFI or GPRS after I got a firmware update. Whenever I try to connect, I get error messages like "Connection not available" or "Web: Unable to perform operation". My software version is 054.005 for RM-530. I have tried reinstalling the firmware update thru Ovi suite, but it did not help. Also tried *#7370# and the phone still won't connect.

Iphone 5 will not connect to home wifi or Bluetooth after iOS 7.1.1 update! Using unnecessary data please help!

My iphone 5 will not connect to my home wifi or Bluetooth after I completed the iOS 7.1.1 update. Before the update I was able to connect to my home network with no issues. Now it rarely finds my home network (unless I'm right in front of the router and even still the signal is weak) and when it does find my home wifi network it frequently disconnects from it. I followed previous suggestions to turn off router or forget network settings and re-establish them but it continues to happen.
This also happening with my Bluetooth connection. My iphone 5 would automatically connect to my home phone Bluetooth prior to the iOS 7.1.1 update. But now my device no longer connects, which means my home phone no longer rings when my cell phone is ringing.
I probably would be less worries if I did not have to monitor my data usage with Verizon. However, I do have a limited amount of data to use and I recently reached the max and had to pay extra money due to my wifi being unable to connect. Can anyone please help me with fixing this?

If you have Applecare take it back to the shop and demand a replacement. If not you're stuffed. It's a bug that they've put in the software to get you to buy another iphone. You can maybe warm it up with an hairdryer near the speaker and then turn it off and put it in the freezer for 10 mins then retstart it and wi-fi is there. It could also be a problem with the chip, if you do the freezer thing it comes back.
Apple knows its a problem as there are millions of people out there that it is happening to, in my opinion get shut and get a Samsung!!!! That's what i've done and love my new Samsung S3 Mini miles better than the iphone!!!!
Go on youtube atnd look how many millions of people this has happened to.
Someone needs to put this in the media so they will actually do something the robbing bleeders!!!!!

I too have been having this issue since about 12/14. That is around the same time I got the Ipad for my kids. I am unsure if it is related. I have tried logging out of icloud/deleting it and trying again. Removing most of the apps to sync. I reset my router. All of the attempts have produced zero results. Some things to try first:

Helix2 - WLAN issues after connected standbay

Hello,since I have bought my Helix 2 in February, I constantly have problems with the WLAN connection after the Helix resumes from connted standby. I already installed all driver updates, however non of them was able to completly fix the problem. Either the Helix shows limited connectivity or no networks can be found. Depending on the installed update the former or latter issue occurs. In order to fix these problems I need to deactivate and reactivate the intel wirless device. Thank you for your help!

We did make some mileage on this issue in the past week. After replacing motherboards (which didn't help) and even depoting a unit, the fix below appears to be working. Do the following: 1) Install the latest drivers from Lenovo directly (not using the automatic update utility)

You will notice that several files that were missing will be detected and installed, including a few .dlls 3) After that install you will notice that the lenovo update utility will detect that you need to update the software. I have tried network diagnostics which doesnt help... The only other ting is, when I woke the computer up it said tat another device was using my IP... My wife had plugged her phone into the computer to charge etc but even when i turn wifi off on the phone there is no change... also in settings on the phone the IP address is different...

The answer to your question is - neither!
Your PC should to configured to obtain an IP address automatically, and to obtain DNS server IP addresses automatically, from the Airport Express. This is the way Windows (and Macs for that matter) are configued by default, and that is the way most people have their computers set up. If you manually configured your PC's IP address to be the same as your wife's Mac, it certainly explains why your PC is not able to access the internet.

You are not talking to Apple. This is a user to user forum.
If you're using the iPhone 3G, there will be no fix for your problem. The software you have, 4.2.1, is the end of the line for the 3G. Apple is no longer providing software updates for the 3G.

Something that came to mind after rereading you post relates to the particulars of a "hard" reset on the Snow.
A “hard” reset removes current setting from the base station. You must then connect to the base station using the AirPort Admin Utility and upload AirPort 2.0 or later software to return the base station to its default settings. A base station in a hard reset is only accessible through the LAN port, not via wireless connections ... so attempting to access with the AAU, via a wireless client, will not work.

C3-00 and 8.63: Wifi still disconnecting after 1 m...

I was hoping that 8.63 firmware was meant also for fixing wifi connection, but after 30 sec of wifi the connection stops working, this happens with every application. i tried with different routers but it doesnt work (and i'm not far from my router)

It's advised to reset the device after a firmware update. Dial *#7370# 12345 reformat, you'll lose all data. Make a backup first and restore without the settings.
