N95 - Windows Live Messager - In Downloads

Hiya,
I noticed this the other day, but forgot to post it...
For those of you who are interested in having MSN Messenger/Windows Live Messenger on your N95's, but haven't already installed it, it's now in the downloads application on the N95, as well as a program for Windows Live Spaces, but I've not looked at that yet.

When i open Windows Live Messenger and going to check if i had any mail but whey where nothing only written messages. All other messages with Attachment did not arrive from my friend.
I ask my friend if they send me any Attachment the all said yes but i did not receive any off them.

    Hi Pat,
Thanks for your instructions and used the http://forums.adobe.com/thread/928315 to do a clean install. I received no error messages during the uninstall process. I then did a new install  and even receive the message the install was successful, just before the last screen asking if I wanted to try a different Adobe product.
Trouble is when I go to www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome, I do not see the animation playing, just a small red X in the upper left hand corner of the box.  I also get a pop up asking me if I want to install flashplayer. Very frustrating, since I was very careful to folly each step of the 928315 instructions.  Should I try to install a previous version?
Here is the install log of the most recent install:  https://workspaces.acrobat.com/?d=PJn*g5OAS31W4kP4jUgSCA
If you have the time I would appreciate your review of the log to see if it has the same errors as you noticed in the previous install log.
A second piece of information:  I was using IE9 and having problems with an program and was told the program was not compatible with IE9, so I used the Microsoft "rollback " feature to go back to IE8 (which allowed the program to work).  But, as part of my ttrouble shooting before this posting, I did a uninstall of IE8 and new install of IE8.
I will be glad to follow any trouble shooting suggestions.
    Appreciate your help.
    Thanks!!

  • Windows Live Mail - Cannot download BT Yahoo Mail ...

I've been trying on and off for about 4 hours to download my btinternet e-mails to Windows Live Mail.
BT web mail is working correctly (sending/receiving).
I have numerous accounts set up in WLM so that all my btinternet, gmail and hotmail e-mails are all in one place.
All 9 of my btinternet mail accounts stall on Finding host... and the message eventually shown is The connection to the server has failed.
My 4 gmail account and 5 hotmails accounts DO download to WLM.
(Although I dont use Outlook Express anymore, I have my main btinternet account still there. So I launched OE and that too stalled on Finding host...).
So does anyone know - are there known problems today with server?
    Thanks.

Same issue for about 3 days now. Web mail working but cannot download incoming emails with windows live mail.
BT support bl**dy useless as usual and we have to pay for the priveledge of using it . . .
The solution offered in one of the links below is for Outlook 2007 - will this solution work with Windows Live Mail? Is peerblock still recommended? How do we know when our email has been migrated away from Yahoo and what are the email client settings we need to use?
Any advice will be grateful, and the more detailed the better as I am reasonable tech savvy but not an IT guy :-)
    Thanks

  • Windows LIve Messager Problems On N97

    Hi Everyone
I wonder if anyone can help me. I have a Nokia N97 on the three network. I went to use Windows Live Messenger last week and it errored so I thought I would reinstall WLM again. I uninstalled the one on my handset and went to Planet 3 to download it again but it errors with connection lost. If I click on details it says it cannot locate the files and gives a whopping long url address. I manually entered this url an the server says the location does not exist.
I rang three and they were uselless and just went through what it says on the online help and then told me to take the phone to a Nokia Care Centre which is stupid as there is nothing wrong with the phone, it's their servers. I had this problem a few months back with Skype. THey said it was the phone and replaced it twice and it turned out to be their side.
Is anyone else on three having this problem? Also does anyone have the three version of WLM for the N97. I recall the version on mine as V3.2?
    Many thanks in advance

    Hi
I've solved the issue. Java Rutime Nokia v2 which I installed from the Nokia Beta Labs makes the download link error. I have uninstalled this and WLM has insatlled and works no problem.
    Thanks.

  • Where to download Windows Live?

The guide is suck on this official page http://www.nokia-asia.com/get-support-and-software/download-software/windows-live/how-to-download . I dont think so the 2nd screen shot is actually same as on my N95. Because the contants in 'Download!' are changed always depend on diverse countries. Nokia, Please provide a direct link which I can download to my computer first and I can transfer it to my N95 manually. I am in Australia.

    Hi there,
I'm in Australia and have successfully installed Windows Live on to my N85 (and since uninstalled, but that's another story!!!).
Anyway, I was going to suggest that when you launch the Download! application, does it ask to refresh? If not, go to Options->Refresh List and Windows Live should appear in the main menu of Download! (it will be called Messenger). Failing that, try under Applications, which is where it was in my case. Also, check this link out:

EDIT: removed business web addressMessage Edited by damocles on 05-Jun-2007 11:42 AM

I'm looking for this too. I had downloaded it and installed it from the downloads utility on the phone. It is still here on the support page http://www.nokia.co.uk/get-support-and-software/download-software/windows-live/how-to-download  but when the catalog is updated there is no msn live. I lost mine when my phone was repaired.
Windows live now seem to give all the functionality through a web interface ( mobile.live.com ) but for some reason I cant log in. When ever i click in the password box i can type nothing in it. Also my existing live account is a live.co.uk address which isn't in the drop down list!

  • E71 + Windows Live Messenger server settings

    Hi all,
Any idea what the server settings are for Messenger/IM?
    ie.
Under IM -> Settings -> Servers:
There is a field that asks for "web address". What should the input for this be?
    Thanks in advance!

The Symbian S60 version of Windows Live Messenger from "Download!" rather cheeky charges you £1.50 (GBP) per month or the equivalent in your local currency, after a trial and as I recall is billed via premium rated SMS messages.
Its not free, and changing your handset may not help to bag some extra fee months. The service appears to be locked to your telephone number.
I personally would like it to be free, the fact that you mainly have to use data to talk to your IM contacts, means you have to pay twice.
Note to those who decided to charge: I'll refrain from using it until you make the S60 version always free.
    Shunts...
I will mostly be communicating with a Nokia E72 Zodium Black

  • Windows LIVE on Nokia N80

    Hi,
Yesterday my Windows Live for Nokia S60 version 1.0.8161, stopped working. Also My MSN on windows 2000 Pro, stopped working, but after looking at :
    http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms07-054.mspx
and update to build 820 it worked again, but the WinLIVE on N80 still will not logon.
I must say that I used it on work via a bluecoat proxy appliance, and connecting via an open hotspot it does actually work.
I think the proxy might be inforcing some of MS updateplans, and that this might not be a Nokia problem. Maybe it looka at some version and allows the new ones only.
So can we expect a new version of the winLIVE for N80 ?

  • Nokia 5800 windows live for mobile

Right I'm trying to install windows live for mobile, and according to HERE, my phone should be compatible.  I have followed all the steps on the support pages, but can not find "windows Live" in my "download" folder.
    Any ideas???

    Oops, sorry for the typo
Just checked Skype Mobile, too, but it's also not on the list. Yoy may still want to try and download Fring - you may have luck.
Otherwise, the only officially supported Skype client for 5800 is IM+ which is not free:

  • Is there a Mac equivalent of the Windows Live Mail client?

(If anyone reading isn't familiar with Windows Live Mail, please look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WindowsLiveMail to see what I mean. Please don't suggest clients like Microsoft Entourage etc as they're not what I'm looking for!)
I used to have a Windows laptop and used the Windows Live Mail client to manage my Hotmail accounts. It was brilliant as it synchronised exactly with webmail (all folders present and correct, if I deleted an email on the webmail it would delete from the programme and vice versa, etc) and did this with as many email accounts as I liked - so I could access all three from the same screen. Perfect!
When I got a Macbook I discovered that Windows Live Mail wasn't available for Mac. I spent a couple of weeks looking for a suitable alternative but never found one.
I'm aware of how to use Hotmail in a regular mail client but I've not found one exactly the same as Windows Live Mail. There's always a problem with synchronisation between the client and webmail, I can only get the inboxes imported and no other folders synchronise which is a pain as I don't always use my laptop to read my email - if I read it elsewhere using webmail and move an email from the inbox to another folder, I'd have to do a second time when I next use my laptop. Hence I don't bother and just use webmail instead - but I hate logging in and out of three accounts!
As it's been ages since I last looked, I thought I'd look again - but I still can't find anything that works the way I want.
Is there a Mac equivalent of Windows Live Mail (http://download.live.com/wlmail)? Something that works in exactly the same way? I wish Windows weren't so childish and would just release a version of this for Mac... it's pretty much the only thing I miss from my old laptop!
(Please don't suggest changing email accounts - I've asked this elsewhere and that was the only response I got!)

In few words, "No." There is no such client for the Mac. The closest you may find would be to try the Mac MSN client, aMSN - VersionTracker or MacUpdate - but it's essentially just a messenger clone. I doubt it includes a Live Mail client.
(Please don't suggest changing email accounts - I've asked this question elsewhere and that was the only response I got!)
Because there is no other response.

  • Windows Live Messenger on the iPhone

We need windows live messenger for the iphone!!!!

You have no audience, here. You've come to the wrong place: this is a user-based support and help forum. It would be up to Microsoft and/or third parties, not Apple, to release an app for the iPhone that supports Windows Live Messaging.

  • Download windows live messenger n96

where cn i download windows live messenger for my nokia n96 fanxs

    Hello guys,
Having read about your discussion about windows live messenger for N96 I thought i'd throw in a few things.
First off the windows live messenger isn't out for the N96, Like few of you here who has an N96 I have purchased one aswell and I tried various different forums and went into the download but I still have no success for the messenger.
As for those of you who are looking for the .sisx file, it is possible to get it, the tip is if you can get hold of an N95/N95 8GB,
1 - Download the 'Nokia Download' software onto your pc and install it.
2 - Once installation has finished connect the N95/N95 8GB to your pc then run the 'Download' program from your PC, wait till the application detects the phone.
3 - After this process is done, in the 'Download' program you will see a tab for 'Applications' click on it and you will find the 'Windows Live I.M' click on it and download it.
4 - After the download has finished look at the bottom right hand corner of the 'Download' application, you will see a status bar showing you how much has been downloaded or if it shows the bar is full it means its fully downloaded, if this is the case then you will notice that it is automatically installing the 'windows Live I.M' into your phone however you have to cancell it by pressing the 'X' button located beside the status bar as mentioned before.
5 - Once you cancel the installation you can either leave you phone connected to your PC or disconnected but the next step is on your PC find and select your user folder on C: drive then go to 'Appata/Roaming/Nokia/Nokia Download!' then you will see two files in .sisx one is called 'Nokia Internet Service Support Pack 1' (This file is to be installed into you phone before Windows Live I.M to support messenger) and the second file is 'Windows Live I.M' which should be installed in to your phone after the 'Nokia Internet Service Support pack l') you can install both files in the order explained into your phone buy connecting your N96 to your PC and double click on the files one at a time then run the installation or transfer both files directly into your phone and install it that way.
I have actually tried this myself but I had no luck in being able to install either of the files because I keep getting an error messages but if anyone else wants to give it a try then do so, if you have any luck with your N96 then post us the outcome here please.
The only thing I can think of is the N96 is not recognising the 'Signed Certificate' which is encrypted into the 'Nokia Internet Support Pack 1' file hence why I or anyone else will have trouble installing it. Remember without the 'Nokia Internet Support Pack 1', Windowes Live I.M will not install into your phone.
Sorry for the long essay guys but that was the process from my experience and I hope Nokia and Windows Live do something about this to make the software available for the N96 soon.
    Bless to all.
    SiD

  • Do you copyemail from a PC running windows live mail? I have attempted to use Thunderbird and was successful in converting the live mail files to Mbox format but when I tried to import these files to the Mac only one message from each file was shown.

I am having a problem trying to migrate some old email messages from a PC running Windows live mail.
I downloaded Thunderbird to the PC and imported the email messages and folders into Thunderbird and was able to create Mbox files for all the folders and messages. I  copied these files to a usb stick and then tried to export the folders and messages to my iMac running Lion. It appeared  to copy the folders to the Mac but only one message per folder was placed on the computer. Does anyone have any ideas on how I should proceed to copy these email messages over? Thanks.
