N96 Bluetooth keeps droping!

When using my N96 sync via bluetooth it just lets me finish the session I would be in (i.e. lets just transfer a file I need) then the connection just drops and I would not be able to re-connect via bluetooth!!
Can someone help me pls!

WOW I searched online and stumbled on this thread - we are having the EXACT same problem with an couple of interesting twists. My wife and I each have an iPhone 5 (one black and one white) and just like lesleywash we have a 2014 Honda CRV. My wife in particular really likes the hand free blue tooth link feature but after updating to iOS 7.1.2 her iPhone started having the same problem described above. Dropping blue tooth connection, re-establishing and getting "The Phone Is Connected" message through the sound system constantly. Really annoying.
Twist #1 is that the problem is not happening with my iPhone only hers. Same exact phones bought at the same time, the only difference is one white/one black (a glitch related to color?...JK).
Twist #2 is that it seems to be a location problem, not time. She takes a regular drive everyday and found the problem happens at the same places on the road. "It always happens at the intersection with the 7-11" as opposed to "it happens every couple of minutes". And, it only seems to be a problem at those locations. It's a mix of in-town and highway places so I don't think it's another device trying to link?
Very strange, I'm fairly certain it's the phone and not the car (again, my phone is no problem) and I'm looking for a permanent fix. She tried the tip about shutting off Wi-Fi and that does work but what a pain constantly toggling Wi-Fi on and off. This is my first time posting on an Apple Support Community. Does these problems get looked at here by Apple Support or do I need to contact someone else?

why do you say it's not normal.
it always switches itself on after i update. it just did again, this time for 7.1.2.. i t also will switch on after a restore.
i never use bluetooth and make sure it's not on for any other reason.
it's been noticed by others too.

Subject line says it all. Bluetooth keeps turning on - I go to settings and turn it off. Look at phone a few mins layer and it's back on again. How to tuen it off - permanently.

If you hold down the power button and then use the slide on the screen, the phone will power off. Then pressing the button will power the phone on again. If you hold down both the power and the home buttons together and keep holding them until the Apple logo appears, then releasing both buttons and ignoring the slide to power off screen, that is a reset. If that doesn't help, the next step is to do a reset, first from a backup, next as a new phone, or not from a backup.
I'm assuming that you had turned bluetooth off before you did this and when you looked again it was on? See what happens with the reset and see if that corrects it. If not, the next step is to make an appointment at the Apple Genius Bar and have them examine the phone. You can make an appointment online at http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar

If you are using Mac OS X Lion 10.7, consider downloading wi-fi update:

If above procedure does not apply and you're using Lion or Mac OS X Mountain Lion, launch terminal throuh Finder > applications > utilities and paste the following command on terminal:
sudo /usr/libexec/airportd debug +alluserland +alldriver +allvendor +LogFile
Restart your computer and check if issue persists.

For some wierd reason Bluetooth keeps appearing on my menubar even though I've been in in System Preference and turned it off, every time I log in there it is and I hafto turn it off manually again and again.

My broadband connection keeps droping

It lasts about 3days that my connection to internet will keep droping during afternoon and evening, but it's still quite good at morning.
Are there any line maintance in Swansea area? How long it will last?
I think I'm paying loads of money suffering a bad service.

Your post is not very clear do you mean your speed drops. In the afternoon and evening or you cannot connect at all or your connection is intermittent
There are no known problems in your area
Like wise the call centres are available 24/7 with no problems remember if you are using a mobile phone you leave the first zero of the number You could use a normal land line phone from your home phone line socket at no charge
Can you please run the Bt speedtest speedtester.bt.com and post the full results back here and. Also your full hub stats to do that enter the following in to your browser address bar 192.168.1.254 then once past the password page navigate to adsl and post the full results from there back herethen someone will be able to help you further

N96 Bluetooth connection

Dear Nokia,
I'm using a N96 from around 10 days.
After last FW update I faced a problem with Bluetooth connection between my phone and my earphone (BH-800)
the N96 randomly I can't say after how long time but is disconnecting the earphone and immediately
reconnecting That is not happening during the phone call just in standby mode.
If I keep the phone for longer time in standby that symptom is happening consecutively before someone call me or I call someone..
I tried with another BH-800 and the symptom is the same.
Also I tried with another N96 and also the same symptom I found..
I haven't got any possibility to check the N96 with another
kind of Bluetooth earphone but I think it will be the same..
My opinion is.
There is a problem with the power management of Bluetooth.
In the other hand I'm very happy with this phone
Please fix it ...

Bluetooth keeps disconnecting with heart rate sensor

Hi,
I recently bought one of the Bluetooth LE Heart Rate Sensor. It is a brand called "MEDISANA" that you can get in Germans market Lidl.
I tried to pair it in several sports applications like Endomondo, Adidas Micoach etc and they all fails. In Endomondo sensor is keep connecting and disconnecting....
I've also tried to pair same sensor on my mate Z2 running KitKat 4.4.4 but end up with same results.
Yesterday I loaded official Lollipop 5.0.2 to my Z3C but nothing change to my surprise....
The funny thing is that same Heart Rate Sensors works fine on my wife cheep Nokia Lumia 520 and also on one of my colleagues android 4.4.2 (dont remember the brand).
So it looks like the issue is only related to Sony's mobile.
Does anyone has faced same kind of issues with BTLE sensors?

Sorry but why is every little thing that goes wrong or isn't supported due to compatibility always Sony's fault - It's never the manufacturer or developers fault - Like i said contact the manufacturer and if they say it's compatible then ask for a statement saying so.

The bluetooth profiles currently in the iPad do not support pairing with a Mac or an iPhone or a headset for that matter. The profiles are limited. The iPad can pair with most bluetooth stereo headphones, speakers, keyboards and some odd devices like barcode readers.

N96 Bluetooth connects/disconnects continuously

Hi guys having trouble with my new N96 that I got on Saturday, great phone but am now having a bit of a problem.
I have a Parrot CK3100 car kit installed in the car which has worked fine up untill now with all my phones that have been a good mix everything from a 6230 to a S.E. C902
I tried connecting my N96 today and it connects stays connected for a few seconds then disconnects then connects again automatically then disconnects again over and over again...! Frustration!
Anybody have any ideas as to what the solution for this may be?
Also I noticed while it was connected it didn't transfer contacts automatically... will this be like all the other N series phones and not do the contacts sync with the Parrot. Bit disappointed now as I love my Parrot!

Exactly the same for me. Connects and disconnects.
But I can help you.
For syncing your address book just go to your contacts, mark all.Then collect as a business card and send to you parrot via bluetooth. That stores them as they are now. When you add more contacts you will have to repeat the process.
As for the connecting disconnecting I have a very clumsy fix.
Turn on your parrot and let it connect to N96. Then ( believe me on this ! ) plug in your stereo headphones and leave them in for about a minute. Unplug them and you n96 will stay connected to your parrot.
Don't ask me how I worked it out.
This leads me to believe that there is a profile activated by the headset that we need to find and activate as default for the car kit. I've looked but not sorted it yet.

N96 bluetooth bh 903 stereo headphones

can anyone help please:-i have upgraded from the n95 to the n96. i have the nokia stereo bluetooth headphones bh 903. they worked great on the n95. the quality on the n96 is very poor, slight clicking in the background,poor sound quality, very annoying.the supplied wired headphones are great. i am using the the devices in the same, my work desk.

I just purchased my Nokia Bluetooth Stereo Headset BH-903. So far the music sounds great on the headset (which is paired with my Nokia N95 8GB). However there are a few issues that I had with my BH-903:
a) adjusting the headset volume is really a pain in the neck. The touch sensitive area is not very responsive. I had to try a few times before I could adjust the volume
b) on certain radio stations, I could not get a good reception. Not sure whether it is my headset cable (which acts as an antenna) not getting a good reception. Any ideas how to rectify this situation ?
c) I am also not able to view the current time on my headset. Anybody knows how to enable this feature ?
