N96 Camera Button Problem...

ok so i have this N96 very good phone but the camera button dosent works for Taking Pictures
let me explain : when i press a little the camera button it should do this Focus and make the corners red or green and then i need to press a little harder to take a picture... but the first part with the focus dosent works and if it dosent make focus it wont take picture so it like the focus button is boken?
and i know for sure that the camera button is not broken becuse its works fine with the Video Recorder/camcorder watever anyway i need help!! plz!!!! can someone help me? oh and today when i was updating my firmware to 12.43 my computer showed N96 disconnected via USB cable and the update program stopped and said to reconnect the device and press continue... so i did that and its finished updating maybe while the update somthing goed wrong and this is one why the focus button dosent works? should i try to refirmware it? u know like update it again?

The Latest version of the N96 firmware is v30, but you will have to wait for your opperator to allow Nokia to release it to there handsets before it becomes available to you

As to your problem, if the button is sticking it sounds like a hardware problem, if so your only option is to take it to a nokia care point use the links below to find your nearest, being as you are not the original purchaser I'm not sure if you will get it repaired under warenty or not

Even after updating, the hold camera button to unlock feature doesn't reliably work on the Nokia Lumia 900. What gives, why is this still broken?

This seems to be a problem with all Lumia 900s at this time...
I visited an AT&T and Microsoft Store and inquired about this problem. Every Nokia Lumia 900 on display and even the store employees own phones exibited the "works when it feels like it" camera button problem. The store employees had no explanation for it.
Through my own fiddling with it I found the only way to get the camera button to work every time is to press the power button first to wake up the phone, then press the camera button. It is a pretty easy work-around.
I also found that if you press the camera button slow enough to feel both clicks, or press the camera button twice quickly that can work too, but not all the time...
As far as I know Nokia has not acklowledged this problem yet but I hope they will soon and that a software update will correct it.

Yesterday I updated my Z1C to android 4.4.2 KitKat. After that i have a problem: camera button turns on the camera application, but I can not use it to take pictures (the button, of course).

Camera and Power button problems!!

I have 2 major problems with my playbook. First problem is that the camera doesn't work. When I press the camera button, black screen pops up without any buttons visible. Sometimes an error message pops up saying that the camera is in use and won't be load up. Second problem is that when I turn the screen off by pressing power button and try to turn it on again by pressing the button again, it won't turn on. I can only turn the screen on again by swipe across the screen. The fact that my playbook doesn't work properly bothers me a lot since the problem arose only 3 months after I bought the device. What should I do to fix these problems??

Problems with camera button?

Hello
After the first days with the new z1 compact i´m a bit confused about the camera button.
when the device is in deep sleep the camera button does nothing - after using the power button to bring up display, everything is fine.
For me, this is a major software bug - what do you think?
I´ve read about that whitelist the camera application in STAMINA mode will fix this but what can i do without STAMINA mode?

My ipod touch 5th gen camera keeps on crashing. I can't use it properly because before I can click on the camera button, the screen will go dark and then will go back to home. What can I do about this?

so I've been using my ipod touch for three months already. Then I noticed that the more I use my camera, which is not very often, I only use it to snapshot wonderful events in my life, the more "crashing" becomes often in my ipod. There are several times that I will repeatedly click my camera button just to open it as it keeps on crashing. my software is up to date, iOS 6.1.3 and I thought that updating it and restarting it will do the trick. Also, the panorama feature of my camera is kind of defective, It's very dark and the images keep in getting ragged on edges. Like it's been cut with sheers or any sharp material. What can I do about this? Is there any way for me to get this fixed?

Is the camera damaged? Could be a hardware problem.
Try:
Close the Camera app in the multitasking bar, then try again.
Restart/Reset/Restore your iPod. In that order.

Same here - worked for a first three weeks then quit! Seems like in general the phone has started getting slower and delayed over time, especial with touchscreen navigation, so I suspect it's a software issue.
Button won't turn on camera on anymore and only does autofocus but not shoots....
Anybody has found a workaround?
It seems the on/off doesn't work but it does seem to me if you let the battery completely drain and then recharge and restart, a number of other functions does better....
Did anyone call Nokia for this? What did they say?

Red Camera Button not working anymore

Like it was said, the button was not turned of by any updates, your problem is most likely software related.. If it is really bothering you and want to isolate the issue just do a hard reset and take everything out of equation. Safe mode option may work but there is also a chance if a app changed this that that it could have override the program settings that can be retained in safe mode, I have ran into this before and just want to let you know Safe Mode may or may not guarantee trouble solution.

That is strange that No Lock causes you issues when I haven't had any issuers using it, shows that the difference in the combination of software on a device does make a difference..

Camera button not working properly

Hi everyone,
I've bought my Xperia Z2 few days ago and have strange issue - my camera button doesn't work in every mode. I can open camera app by holding button but can't take any picture in auto mode. Button works in 4K video, Timeshift video, AR effects, Timeshift burst mode. I didn't check Vine, info-eye and social live modes only. I can take pictures by touching the screen button in every mode. Do you have any ideas how to resolve this problem?

It is a two step button, first is very light and it works as a camera focus button,but you should feel it clicks in a half way, than you press harder and it takes photo just like a real compact cameras do. If you don't feel any pressing degree it might be faulty, it's just a silicone stripe with plastic buttons so it could be badly installed in factory.
Last time, just to be sure, try to start the phone in service mode (restart and when sony logo appears press volume down till it fully starts and you see grey text on main screen "safe mode" if then it will work - reinstall android with sony companion, and if system repair won't do any changes consult the phone in sony centre or the shop where it was bought.

Sounds like an issue with your carrier. You might check with them to see if they're having problems with MMS. You could always try resetting the phone if your haven't already but it's a long shot (hold on/off and home buttons simultaneously for 10-15 seconds until you see the Apple logo, release and wait for the phone to restart). Good luck!

Camera button on e90

I have had a problem with the camera button on my e90 as I think a lot of people have. It doesnt start up camera when it is pressed. I have heard that a software upgrade can solve this, does anyone know if this upgrade is available and will it also make the camera button better when in use. thanks

There are a a couple of third party applications that allow you to use the large central button in the selector pad as shutter release for E90.
The guy who is the expert uses the handle "fritz99" on this board.

Something wrong with my 5.1.1 double click camera button

I just update to 5.1.1 from 4.3.3. When i double click on the home button, there should be an option for the camera. The camera button is there but when i click on it, it stuck. The screen is like go up and down. I have no problem with "Slide to Unlock" though. Sorry for my bad explaination

The up down feature allows for quick access for the camera but only allows the camera to be used and the phone otherwise remains locked this is a feature of that version of iOS

Ipod Touch ios 5 camera button on lock screen wont open camera

I recently upgraded my Ipod Touch Gen4 to ios 5.1. All went well, except when I push the camera button on the lock screen, it tries to open the camera but then changes back to the lock screen.
Its like the lock screen moves upward to show the camera app underneath, but then closes.
Ive done a reset and restore but no luck.
Any help please??
