N96 increase maximum camera recording time?

All this is my first post on this forum. I have a N96 and have a question that i hope somebody will beable to help me with. With the N96 you can record a maximum of one and a half hours of continuos video recording. My question is is there anyway that this can be increased?

My 16gb memory on my n96 has still got 10gb on it but the camera still says 1hr 30 mins recording is there any way this can be increased maybe a hack or something

Ok let me rephrase the question.. I'm going to a Skinny Puppy concert in a month from now, will I only pick up crown noice, and get a depleted battery, when it's time to call the cab after the show? Anyone tried to capture anything alse then your awful drooling babies with this phone? (yes I know it's only 15 fps, (not your drooling baby) but it's better then nothing)

Keep getting signed out. Camera Recording time 1 hr ahead

Anyone know how to fix the time on my camera recordings? It shows one hour ahead.
Plus I get signed out after 30 minutes even though I check the box where it states stay signed in for two weeks.
Anyone have any fixes? I sure would appreciate your help.

In a nutshell:
This has been covered ad nauseam here. Please do a forum search.
Camera manufacturers, Canon and Nikon in particular, perform in-camera RAW to JPEG conversions designed to generate the over-saturated, over-contrasty and over-sharpened images that appeal to most amateurs.
Their stand-alone RAW conversion software also performs the same conversion to your RAW images.
Noise is also hidden by compressing the shadows so you don't see much of the noise inherent in the image.
Adobe Camera Raw, ACR, on the other hand, comes with default settings designed to give you the most detail possible (even if this sometimes means revealing some of the noise hidden by the camera manufacturers in their RAW conversion software), as well as the most natural images.
That being said, you can calibrate your camera to ACR and come up with your own settings to produce exactly what you want, including the JPEG-look of the camera manufacturer, and save that as your profile.
The key is to learn how to use ACR properly and to calibrate your camera to ACR.

The ACR defaults are nothing more than a suggested starting point.
The color temperature won't necessarily match either.

N97 Voice Recording Time ???

Hello everyone,
I have N97 phone .
Whenever I start voice recording on my phone, it records voice and stop automatically after 3-4 minutes.
What is the maximum voice recording time for N97 phone.
When I start voice recording on N97 it shows 1:00:00.
Does it mean 1 hour ??

Hi , I've never used the voice recorder, but am trying it now, the only thing I can suggest is to try the settings and make sure it is saving to E mass memory and not to phone memory, it could be lack of available space for the sound file ?

Set maximum record time?

Can I set maximum record time in Logic 8? Recording an hour-long live program unsupervised, & I'd like it to stop afterwards.
(I don't know any problem with continuing recording for hours until the hard drive is full? But it's not necessary.)

You can use the Auto-Punch In/Out function to set Logic stop recording automatically.
Also, set the bar value for the project end (at the transportbar, under the tempo).
For How long you can record depends on you HD capacity, but also the file format (aif,wav,caf...) the bit depth and the sample rate.
each format has its own limit.
Refer to user manual and check for the best file format for your purpose.

N70 CAMERA VIDEO RECORD TIME

has anybody explored the N70 settings , though the phone is stylish and sleak , i am not able to record video for more than 30 sec , i have 64 MB card fit it provided by nokia and its not helping either , could any one pls help me on this and let me know if i need to download any software or i need cope with it

Open the slide to start the camera. Select Options; Video Mode.
The icon in the bottom right corner of the viewfinder shows what quality level is selected for video capture. It will either be MP4 or 3GP.
Select Options; Settings; Video Quality. The phone usually ships with High set as the default, which means MP4 format. Normal quality means 3GP, so you'll get much more recording time.
Sharing quality is 3GP but is limited in length so that the recorded file is small enough to be sent by MMS - this is an operator requirement. The capture resolution is also lower than High quality, so it won't reproduce as crisply.
Ultimately you have to select the right quality level to suit your needs. Do you want to play back on a pc, or do you want to be able to send the file as an MMS?
On my N70 with 30MB free memory, I can get the following recording times:
High - 8mins 50 secs
Normal - 35mins 13 secs
Sharing - 0mins 35 secs

Does imovie have a limit on recording time?

I plan on recording a seminar from an external camera directly into iMovie. Is there a maximum recording time?

No time limit.
But you'll need a lot of hard drive space to hold the file. And if something goes wrong you won't have anything unless you also record to the camera.

Multiple camera recording question

Ok so if i have multiple cameras and one of them triggers and is recording can another record at the same time. it looks like when this happens i lose a video. the triggers are all in the activioty log but no video is there to see.

From my experience the cameras record independently. The motion sensor mode however is not enough for consistent recordings with the wireless cameras. I had to create a second timed mode for each wireless camera and set it to run all day. The issue I have now is consistently viewing the recordings. I keep getting an "unable to play" message! always something!

Pan and Tilt Camera Recording Duration

Whenever my Pan and Tilt camera motion sensor goes off, it only records 12 seconds and not the full 30 seconds it should. My other regular inside camera records motion for the full 30 seconds.
Anyone else notice this? I've looked for a setting but as of yet have not found one to change. If you know of one please let me know.
The time stamps on my email notifications show 20 seconds (28:50 - 29:10) but as you can see on the screen snapshot, it only shows 12 seconds. Just to say it before someone asks, yes the 12 seconds is the total time and not the remaining time. Sorry I just had to add that.

I use to have the same problems and found a solution. try this:
1. Export via Final Cut Pro using a quicktime export (not quicktime conversion!) Use your current settings. Now you should have a full quality exported Quicktime file.
2. From there, open DVD SP and go to your preferences. Click on the encode tab and set your SD encoding settings. I advise using
2 Pass VBR Best
Avg Bit Rate 5
Max Bit Rate 7 (I dont see the need for 9 as I have been told 7 does a similar job and saves room for audio bit rate)
Motion Estimatio: best
I like to set it for background encoding as well, but you can encode on build too.
3. Click the apply button
4. Now, bring in you full export file from step 1. You will see the progress in your asset tab (if you background encode). Done!
This should work for you as it has for me. I think the reason is because DVD SP does hardware encoding rather than software encoding, but this is only my guess. And FYI, compressor is completely fixed on mpeg2 encoding in version 3, but I still find myself using the above route simply because it has never failed me and is much more reliable.

I am connecting to an PI System and an R/3 System through AT & T dialler network. after logging into the systems, i am going through different scenarios and code in the respective systems. Till 15 to 20 minutes it working fine, afetr that i am getting the following error "GXD:auto logout (maximum user idle time excedded)" and "BDV:auto logout (maximum user idle time excedded)".
i have checked the profile parameetr instance "rdisp/gui_auto_logout" , In R/3 system it is given as 1800 and in PI system i do not have the authorization.
Please help me to resolve the issue.
I am working on client netowrk, shld i raise the issue with the basis Guys or it will be handled locally by the network guys.

You can contact your BASIS/ADMIN team and ask them to increase the time interval for rdisp/gui_auto_logout so that your login will remain for long time.

Video Quality :: remaining recording time in shari...

I have a problem when setting the Video Quality to Sharing Quality the remaining recording time shown ONLY 35 seconds but when I increased it to TV high quality it comes 1 h : 30 m : 25 s

not sure , but 'sharing quality' may be something you can attach to a txt message so is limited to data size of video rather than available phone memory ? I tend to record in high quality and simply upload via Pixelpipe to FB or Image Shack and send a link via message if I want to share via sms . Hope you get a better solution from someone who knows the definitive answer

Recording Time Remaining: 30 seconds

I have 50 gigs free on my hard drive. I have the tempo set at 1 beat per minute. I dragged the max song length thingy out to 2000+ measures. I have about 2 hours of audio recorded on this track and now when I try to record more it says "recording time remaining: 30 seconds" and counts down from there. Why can't I record more audio?

When you use a compression filter, your PC have to process every frame that you acquire.
Depending on your image size, image type (color or mono) and your CPU performance, you will increase time needed between each acquired frame.
Try different codec. But keep in mind that some only work on color images and some on mono images or both.
You will find a VI that list all the codec installed on your computer.
The frame rate you mentionned when you create an AVI is only an indication for the playback. It doesn't help.

Video recording time, 8GB vs. 32GB

Hi all,
I'm planning to purchase an iPod Touch and need to pick which model. I don't need all my CDs on the thing and photos will cycle on & off, but it would be nice to shoot some video on vacation. Can anyone tell me how much HD video recording time capacity is available in an 8GB vs. 32GB iPod Touch? Another way of asking would be - How much memory is required for 1 minute of HD video?
Also, I can offload photos from my camera to my iPod Classic (5g). Can I offload photos or video from my (future) iPod Touch to my iPod Classic. Plenty of room on an iPod Classic, until you drop it.

TX Maximum Calendar Records

I recently went over 32,768 Calendar records on TX and all Calendar records become blank on TX! Trying to add a new record will cause the TX to warm-reset. I tried warm-reset and cold-reset TX many times and it did not make a difference. But if I reduce the total records under 32,768 then everything works fine! The Calendar database is about 5.15M and the free space on TX is 89M. The desktop DB seems to be funtioning OK and is not affected by the TX problem. Any idea on how to get over this Calendar record limit on TX?
Windows XP, Palm Desktop 4.1.4, TX Garnet v.5.4.9, Calendar v.1.2.5

Oldpalmtreouser: Thanks for the pointers as well! Solution 19008 refers to record charater limits on Desktop 4.1.4. Solution 38940 refers to memory management and purging records/files when space is less than 2M! (Well, it is written in 2005.)
Anyway, it looks like 32,768 Calendar records are the max one can have on TX, regardless of the free memory! It is time to move on to a new technology? Thanks again for the quick feedback. This is a great community effort! Thank you again
