N96 is not recogniZed by my PC - please HELP!
hi,
please can someone help me.
have just bought a nokia N96 mobile and have used the cd that comes with the phone to install ALL the programmes etc. into my PC.
however, i have a problem.
when i reach the stage whereby i connect the phone to the pc using the usb cable - it doesn't recognize the phone at all. i do not understand what the problem could be because all the programmes required for this phone has all been installed successfully.
also, the phone has the pc suite mode selected. have done all that i can think of, yet my pc does not recognize my phone.
if you can help, greatly appreciated.

Toshiba External Hard Drive not recognized by computer. Please help!
I was wondering if anyone could help me. I have an external hard drive and it will not show up in "My computer" when I plug it in. I have tried other USB drives and other computers. I am starting to think it is a hardware issue but I don't want to lose hope. The blue light is coming on when you plug it in but it doesn't blink and there is no noise whatsoever. Is there anything I can do to fix this issue so that I can recover the information on it? Thanks in advance for any help. It is greatly appreciated.
Additional information: I'm not sure how old this thing is but the model number is HDDR160E03X.Same problem: I can't see my Toshiba PH3100U-EXB (Gen 2) external hard drive when I plug it in. After awhile I get this error message (see attachment): USB Device Not Recognized. One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it. FOr assistance in solving this problem, click this message."
When I click it, I get a list of USB ports and devices, with Unknown Device in bold face. No real information there.
Yes, I ran Disk Management and the Toshiba did not show up when I plugged it in and hit Refresh.
Does it make a difference that the last time I used the external hard drive, we were in Windows XP and now we're in Windows 7?
Please help! It's not just the backing up I'm worried about...it's being able to retrieve files later!

Boot Camp: Seagate External Drive not Recognized in Windows Explorer -- PLEASE HELP!
I'm running in Boot Camp and using a Seagate Free Agent GoFlex external drive as both a Time Machine backup on the Mac OS, as well as a storage unit to exchange files. However, whenever I plug my external drive into my computer while running Windows, it does not show up in the Computer tab under "Devices With Removable Storage", like it should. It does show up on the "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media" button in the bottom right hand corner, and it appears as a "Startup Disk" in the Boot Camp Control Panel, so I know that it isn't a cable or USB input issue. Please help me get it to appear as a Device in the Windows Explorer. I need to exchange files from my Mac OS to my Windows OS. Thank you in advance for the help.
I did it but i could not install tool from the dvd. As i said, i can still boot up windows xp i just needs to re-install the service tool.
The drivers are working properly. -
I now own a second hand unit ipad3 but I cannot activate because the original ID and password is not recognized by itunes.

The Apple ID and Password that was Originally used to Activate the iDevice is required
If you do not have that information you will not be able to use the Device.

Alright, right after posting my question I figured it out. I plugged my iPod into one of the USB ports in the front of the MacPro and it worked like a charm. Now the problem is, what is wrong with the two ports in the back of my Apple Cinema HD screen? That I can't figure out clearly. The USB connection from it to the MacPro is connected.

I don't understand. Do you mean that the SIM card is being recognized as 'Wireless Carrier A', but you're actually trying to use 'Wireless Carrier B'?

You must initiallly activate iCloud from an IOS device or a Mac. You cannot inititally activated from a PC.

If you are running Lion then all drivers are distributed through Software Update. You do not need to install anything, other than to install the printer in System Preferences > Print & Scan. If you already added the printer while it was connected using USB, you might want to delete it and set it up again wirelessly to avoid confusion. Or, give them two distinct names e.g. "Photosmart D110 (USB)" and "Photosmart D110 (wireless)".
All scanning functions are now performed using Preview, but you can also access the scanner through the same Print & Scan preference pane, or with Image Capture.
