N96 MMS problem (opening and deleting)
Hello people..
I came here through the Dutch Nokia website, so i hope my english is good enough to understand....
This is my problem:
this morning I recieved an MMS, and later on i send an MMS back. At that time, there was no problem opening the messages. (both in Inbox, and Send Items)
This afternoon i tried to make a back up of my phone, and after that, I tried to delete al my SMS and MMS. Only here came the problem.
I can delete every sms there is, but the both (2) MMS (in the Inbox and Outbox)
If I try to open them, they won't open, and if i try to delete them, i get the warning (now translated from dutch to english) "General: Already in use"
I checked everything, if there was some programs running, but there isn't, and i also tried to put the phone back to it's factory settings, but then they still won't open/delete.
I already got another MMS, and that one, i could open, en delete. So there is no problem with that one.
Hope that someone can help me?!?
kind regards Roger
you said that the second MMS is still in your outbox, which means it hasn't been successfully sent yet.
try to delete the outbox MMS first. check its status if still on "sending", click options and choose defer sending.
try to delete, if not possible, try to move it to another folder like drafts before deleting from there.
i believe the inbox MMS can be deleted with no problems following deletion of the outbox one.
Fear not those who argue but those who dodge

Zen Touch - Problem adding and deleting fi
I got a zen touch, plug it in the pc and the zen says 'docked', the computer says found zen etc. I open the zen in My Computer, click on the music library, it opens, all of my music is displayed as normal but when I try and delete a track/album etc, it says 'cannot be deleted, try agin later' or something like that.
When I try and add files it says, 'a problem has occured and action cannot be performed' or something like that.
Can anyone tell me why? I have added 5GB of music on it without any problems, I have deleted music off it, there is definately enough space left, the computer recognises it ok, the zen recognises it has been connected but it won't let me do anything?
I have tried reinstalling everything for it over and over. Only a couple of days ago I added more music to it and it was fine and now it is telling me this?
HELP!! Its driving me mad.:angry:I just tried it again now and it is working fine!!
Can anyone tell me what is going on inside the zens head?:smileyindifferent:

Entourage will not allow Delete file messages to be opened and deleted
I have allowed my delete to get to large. Now Entourage won't allow Delete file to be opened; when attempted, it says, "file cannot be opened, not enough memory". How can I open to Delete file to delete messages?
You should be able to check by opening the Attachments panel on the left (paperclip icon) and looking at the file extension.

Problems opening and running iTunes on MacBook
I have had some MacBook issues lately. After resetting the PRAM and SMC and repairing Disk Utilities/Permissions, the MacBook seems to be running again, albeit still a little slowly.
But today, I tried to use iTunes to listen to my music, and couldn't get it to open. I tried to open it from the dock multiple times (at least 7 different times), all with the same result. iTunes reports an error/ it crashed, and reports the error to Apple. Any idea what the problem is, and if my music library is alright?
Here is the exact text of the error message:

Problems opening and saving PNG over network with CS2 and CS3
using os10.4.11
photoshop CS2 or CS3
I've recently tried to save images in PNG format, small (no more than a couple hundred kilobytes) and found that whenever I tried to save to the server it would hang photoshop and require a force-quit. Saving the same file to the desktop works fine. Copying said file to the network and then trying to open that PNG from the server results in a photoshop hang, while opening that same file from the desktop works fine. I know all about the fact that Adobe doesn't support working over a server, but that's never been an issue at my workplace in all the years I've worked with (never had problems saving/opening any format, no corrupted files ever). If I try to open that same PNG from the server with CS2, same result. If I try to open it over the server using Photoshop CS, or version 7, however, it opens just fine. If I copy the Photoshop CS version of the PNG plugin and replace the PNG plugin installed with CS3 by default, then it seems to work and I can now open and save PNGs anywhere with no problems. Has anyone else had this problem? I can see that the file size of the PNG plugin has changed version to version, so something about it has changed. It seems as though there is something defective about the ones installed with CS2/3, and just copying the CS version into my CS3 folder clears up the problem.
Also, the problem is not limited to my computer. Other macs that try to open PNG files from the server using CS3 or 2 also hang.Yes, we're a prepress company moving around probably a few dozen gb of data per day, saving PSD, TIFF, EPS, JPEG, all kinds of formats. It's the first time I've had a client requesting PNG files, and so the issue has come to light. This is the first time I've ever seen any kind of issue opening/saving across our network in 8 years. (the only time I've ever seen a corrupt file was a 1.6gb image that didn't copy correctly, and that wasn't a photoshop-related corruption, but an OS drag/copy of the file)
I'm not sure if I'll be able to find someone with OS 10.5 or some other version to see if they cause problems. If anyone else reading this who works over a network can test a PNG open/save over their network and list their OS and Photoshop version it may help. I'm going to see if I can find some other computers to try it out on in the meantime and mention it to IT. -

Error while trying to Open and Delete a BEx Query in Query Designer.
Hi Experts,
I have been facing this issue with BEx Query in Designer mode for a couple of days now in Development Environment in BI 7.0.
I would like to Delete an unwanted BEx Query because I need to give it's name to another BEx Query.
Whenever I try to Open this Query in BEx Query Designer to Delete, it gives out an error saying:
"An error occurred while communicating with the BI server.
As a result of this error, the system has been
disconnected from the BI server.
Detailed Description:
STOP: Program error is class SAPMSSY1 method : UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION
STOP: System eror in program CL_RSR and form GET_CHANMID-01 - (see long text)"
Details text is as below:
Diagnosis
This internal error is an intended termination resulting from a program state that is not permitted.
Procedure
Analyze the situation and inform SAP.
If the termination occurred when you executed a query or Web template, or during interaction in the planning modeler, and if you can reproduce this termination, record a trace (transaction RSTT).
For more information about recording a trace, see the documentation for the trace tool environment as well as SAP Note 899572.
I have tried with SAP Note 899572, but still it's the same.
Has anyone faced similar issue? Could you please let me know if you have better ideas or solution?
Your time is much appreciated.
Thanks,
ChanduArun - Thanks a million. You saved me Nine. It worked.
Could you also please tell me how to rename (Technical) a Query or is it still "Save the Query As" the only way...?
Points already assigned.
Thanks,

Problem Opening and Running Adobe Reader XI
I am using Windows 8 and Adobe Reader XI (Version 11.0.03). At first, I was able to use Reader just fine. Then yesterday the program would freeze just after I tried opening it. I would see a spinning wheel on the right of the window that would stop spinning almost as soon as it would start. Shortly thereafter, I would see (Not Responding) at the top of the window. Then, without clicking the "X" in the upper right corner, the program would close by itself. This hapens whether I try to open a pdf from my C drive or a flash drive, and also when I just double-click the desktop Reader icon. I have tried ununstalling and re-installing to no avail. I have also tried fixing the problem through clickining "Change" in the "Programs and Features" part of the Control Panel. After going through that last process, the message indicated nothing was worng. Please help. I use fillable and savable pdfs in my business. Thank you.
Some things to try...
Using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement
Can you open Adobe Reader by itself? If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].
If you cannot open Reader by itself, try to disable Protected Mode in the registry; download, unzip, then run the attached registry script
It could even be a malware issue; see http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/reader-core-dll-error.html -
Problems adding and deleting mail accounts
I am running server 10.5.8 and have had amazingly few issues or crashes. I'm a novice, know zero about UNIX, but have a server for a small office that i set up and has run without issues for years. It hosts our website and email and some basic file sharing and ftp.
This past week, I tried to add a user in Workgroup Manager, that is basically just an email user. Worked fine in Workgroup Manager, and activated the account and enabled email as both pop and imap. i also deleted some users that are no longer with us.
I tried to set up Mail on the client computer, and it would not work. I went back to the server and in Server Admin it shows that Mail is up, other users are getting their mail, but the new user I set up in workgroup manager is not showing up as having an account in server admin, and the users i deleted in workgroup manager still seem to have accounts in server admin.
In the Mail Access log I just get repeats of this same message;
Aug 28 10:23:59 server imap[1386]: AOD: user opts: get attributes for user: office failed with error: -14479
I tried restarting, tried to repair permissions etc.
Does anyone have any ideas?no they did not show up there either.
i opened up users and groups and just tried adding the user to the access list.
i will let you know how it works.
thanks. -
Problems adding and deleting stuff
I have had my 30 gb ipod video for about 2 months. I know how to do all the stuff involved. But i just recently ran into a problem... It will no longer let me add new song or videos or podcasts, as well as delete them. I can delete them when it is hooked up to my computer but when i eject it it goes back to normal. I've tried resetting it, did not help. please help me!
If you manually update you have to delete them from your iPod as well, not just the computer...
Deleting Songs or Playlists from your iPod
Connect your iPod to the computer and select it in the source list. The iPod's library should appear to the right. Find the song, highlight it, and hit delete.
Also, there is no reason to restore quite yet.

Problems opening and editing Olympus OM-D E-M1 files
Hi,
I have a new Olympus OM-D E-M1 camera. It produces (pretty great) video's of the .MOV format, H.264.
However, I am not able to open, view and edit these files in Premiere Pro CS5.
Some more information:
- Video format .MOV, H.264, 1080p 29.97fps
- Windows 7 machine, 6Gb ram, reasonably fast video card and quad core chip. Editing of other video formats with the same HD specs is no problem (e.g. mp4 or avi)
- Video's play just fine in Quick Time and in the proprietary Olympus Viewer 3 software and in Windows Media player
- Video's will import and I can put them on the timeline but very slowly.
- They usually do not open in the Source monitor, or show just 1 frame
- The sound sometimes plays fragments (as if it is reading the files very slowly)
- It does not play a preview
- I can export a sequence that I put on the timeline, for example to an MP4 which is then fine, but rendering and exporting takes forever, up to hours for 4 mins of film
I am thinking that Premiere Pro somehow does not know where to find the right codecs for importing these videos, because they must be on my computer somewhere with QuickTime and Olympus Viewer. Anyone know how to tell PP how to find/use these?
Please let me know if you need any more information to help me solve this problem.
Thanks, BastienneI made a screen dump of the folder in Olympus Viewer that is named Movie.
It has some files which seem to be involved in codec. Please take a look if there is anything useful there .
btw there is only one folder in Movie (AsFilter) and there is also only one folder in AsFilter (MP4), so there is no folder called MOV or similar, strangely enough.
There may be one other interesting .dll file called CodecHelper.dll in the Olympus Viewer 3 root. -
Problem opening and saving files, new eps default
I expect that these two issues are related, but in a way that I don't understand.
(1) When I go to open files, raw or jpeg, I now need to enter a value for 'enable' on the open dialog. That never was necessary before.
(2) When I go to save as jpeg, the file type defaults to eps. And even when I change to jpg, I get a dialog about eps options.
I don't understand this at all! I've never used eps, don't even know why I would.
The only way I found to get around this was to convert my files to 16 bit. That certainly shouldn't be necessary.
(I'm using Photoshop CS6 on a Mac running Mountain Lion)(1) When I go to open files, raw or jpeg, I now need to enter a value for 'enable' on the open dialog. That never was necessary before.
Could you please post a screenshot with the pertinent Panels/Dialogs visible?
(2) When I go to save as jpeg, the file type defaults to eps.
So you select jpg from the dropdown list and it switches to eps? -
Problems opening and using Contacts files imported from PC.
I'm new to iPad and IOS.
Transferred my Contacts files from my PC which has now gone the way of all flesh.
Can pick up my individual email addresses for emails but cannot see my address groups (used for group emailing).
I can see the .contact and .group files on Knowhow but the Pad tells me I can't open those files.
How can I open the files, and why do the groups not show up when I 'm trying to select an email address.
Am I just being dumb or do I need to download different app ?
Grateful for any help. ThanksSee this r=thread for some alternatives....free that is!

Odd problem opening and forwarding .pdf files
Received several .pdf files. I can open them from the email, but when I save them to my directory, I can't reopen them. When I forward them they can't be opened. When the recipient tries, she gets a message that says "this internet site is not available". I'm totally baffled. To my knowledge, I'm just trying to send some files - nothing to do with an internet site. Can anyone explain or make a suggestion? Thanks.
You can tryout the Open source PDFBox API
The api has an class which extracts the text from the pdf document.
It might help you.
you can find it in

hope works
